It's Not All About Tennis
42. Paper
Marui hummed as he dropped into his seat, glancing around the classroom.
He propped his chin onto his elbow as he looked out the window. Around him he could hear the chatter of the rest of his class talking to people, making new friends now that they were in high school or loudly cheering when someone from their junior high came in.
"Marui," the voice was soft and soothing but Marui knew better then to be deceived by it as he looked up. The rest of his class had quieted and was staring at the doorway as well. Yukimura and Sanada stood there, the blue haired boy with a smile on his face. "Tennis practice doesn't start until next week so we're meeting up at the Middle School for the next week, understood?"
"Yes Captain," Marui answered with a nod. "What class are you two in?"
Before he could answer, a paper plane flew through the air. It was coming straight for Marui and he barely had time to duck before it hit the window where his head had been.
There was a loud laugh and Marui sighed when he straightened back to find Niou standing between the duo, "Was that really necessary 'Haru?"
Niou just laughed as he crossed the room, "Captain and Vice Captain are in class C, Yagyuu's in D, and Jackal and Yanagi are in A."
"And you?" Marui waved when he saw Yukimura moving to leave. The other flashed him a quick smile.
Niou flopped his body into the chair next to Marui, popping a bubble with a piece of green gum Marui was almost certain had been stolen from his nightstand only two days before, "And your stuck with me."
Marui smiled and reached over, pressing a kiss to Niou's cheek despite the audience, "Considering I worked my ass off to get into this school with you, that's a relief."
