Author's Note: I had some motivation to actually write tonight, and I just started working on this one and so it's up pretty soon after having written the last chapter... so yeah, I hope you enjoy this :D Fluff to ensue :3 I like fluff, and finally with things cooling down I can have the fluff appear! :D Enjoy ya'll!
"So, how was it? Your first mission as a GJ agent?" Kim asked with a stupid grin on her face.
Shego groaned and plopped down on the chair beside the hospital bed. "Horrible. I know I said any agent would be fine, but they put me with Will Du, and if you've never met the guy, he's a complete stick up the ass. My god I can't stand him."
Kim winced, "Ouch. Yeah, I've met him. We had some… differences in how we thought a mission should be handled… and he tended to think way too highly of himself when I did most of the work."
"Yep, that sounds like what I dealt with. Another six months stuck with him and then I'll be off my mini parole. I can't wait to be rid of that baby sitter."
"I'm still surprised that you were willing to work with another agent on your missions. You always preferred to steal things on your own and let the grunts be a distraction," Shego chuckled.
"They were only there since you needed a little warm up before our sparring matches. And working with someone else was the only reason why I was able to clean my slate. I'm just glad Betty is in charge of GJ."
Kim frowned slightly. "How do you and Betty know each other? It seems like more than an enemy sort of thing."
Shego scratched her cheek slightly and said in slight embarrassment, "I might have dated her sister back in high school."
"You… what?!" Kim asked, trying to stifle her laughter.
"Oh, ha-ha. Yeah, I dated her little sister. Betty wasn't too keen on the idea. It took me three months before Betty didn't want to rip my head off."
"So you and Betty are on decent terms?"
"Now we kind of are. After her sister dumped me for a guy, I think Betty took pity on me. She actually would talk to me if we ever ran into each other and was nice. She probably still only helped me out now since she felt sorry for her sister dumping me."
"Not quite," came a voice at the door.
"Speak of the devil, and she appears."
The brunette chuckled slightly and took a seat on the other side of the hospital bed. "I felt somewhat bad that she'd dumped you, but I felt worse that you never knew she was cheating on you."
Shego blinked slightly. "Cheating? I knew about that. She was always dating a lot of people. I was hoping I could convince her to dump them so I'd be the only one, but I guess I lost that gamble."
"So you knew she was seeing two other women and a guy?"
Shego frowned slightly, "I didn't know about the guy."
"Well, I apologize for my sister."
"Yeah, I'm over it. We only dated for a few months. By the end of it, I think you and I were better friends than she and I were."
"True."
Kim looked between the two. "Am I the only one here who doesn't know all about Shego's personal life then?"
"Yeah," Betty and Shego both replied.
"Ok, so Betty and I might still be talking every now and then even though she's good and I'm not," Shego said as nonchalantly as possible.
"She wasn't willing to turn good for my sake though," Betty pointed out.
Shego groaned, and Kim couldn't help but smile slightly, trying to hide the blush that painted her cheeks lightly.
They talked for a while after that before Betty and Shego had to go. Whether Shego liked it or not, along with the missions came paperwork. A lot of paperwork. It killed her on the inside to have so much work to do, but it made it worth it if she could see Kim without worrying that someone would catch them together.
Time slowly ticked by, and Shego grew accustomed to her job. As she was getting used to her job with GJ, Kim was starting to get back on her feet. The nightmares happened less and less, and she was finally discharged from the hospital. Things were going well.
"I told you Monique, I do not want you to meddle with my love life," Kim groaned, holding up two shirts in front of the mirror.
"Yeah, yeah. That's why you have me here helping you pick out clothes just so you can go get coffee with Shego, right?" Mo asked, chuckling from the redhead's desk.
Kim sighed, "Well excuse me for being a little nervous. I only just got out of the hospital, and Shego is finally back from that weeklong GJ mission. I want to look decent."
"You definitely sound like you're going on a date."
"It's not a date!"
"Damn, and here I thought I was finally swaying your heart," came a familiar voice from her door.
"Shego?!" Kim and Monique both said at once, obviously startled.
The older woman chuckled and took a seat on Kim's bed. "So, having trouble getting ready for our 'not a date'?"
Kim blushed, "I like to look nice when I'm going out, even if it isn't a date."
Shego looked at the options and pointed at the shirt in her right hand, "I like that one better. It compliments your eyes more and draws attention to your curves…. On second thought, wear the one on the left. I don't want others staring."
The redhead rolled her eyes, but she did pick the one on the left. She then turned and said, "Are you guys going to leave so I can change?"
Monique and Shego both looked at her. Mo then said, "Girl, we've changed in front of each other how many times now?"
Shego then said, "Yeah, what she said."
Kim rolled her eyes, "Shego, I've never changed in front of you."
The green skinned woman opened her mouth and was about to bring up the fact that she was the one who saved Kim and performed crude surgery on her, indicating that she'd already seen the girl topless, but stopped herself. That wasn't a great topic for a first 'not a date.' Instead she stood up and said, "Alright, alright, I'll leave."
After Kim changed she quickly fixed her makeup and grabbed her purse, exiting her room and seeing that Shego was down the steps and on her couch watching TV.
"I didn't take that long, y'know."
Shego looked up at Kim and said, "I wasn't sure how long makeup would take. Some women take forever and I'm used to waiting."
"It's not a date, remember? Why would I work on my makeup? We're just going for coffee."
"Damn, and here I thought I'd woo you while at the coffee shop, extend the 'not a date' to include a movie and dinner, and then seduce you into coming back to my place," Shego replied sarcastically.
Kim rolled her eyes and did her best to keep a blush from her face.
Shego stood up and flipped off the TV, extending her arm to the redhead who hooked her arm around the older woman's and smiled.
As they walked out the door, Kim called up to Monique, "Lock up when you leave Mo, and thanks for the help."
"Have fun on your 'not a date!'" Monique called back with a chuckle, hearing Kim groan as the front door closed. Then she said to herself, a small devilish grin gracing her features, "Well, if Shego plays her cards right… it might just turn into a date."
A/N: Heeeeey :D What'd you all think? Are you liking the little sprinkled bits of KiGo? Don't worry, it won't be sprinkled for long, soon it'll be piled on like BAM. Yaaaaaay KiGo :) I'm really surprised I wrote another chapter so soon. Writer's block kept me from writing for so long, but hopefully I'm getting back into the writing groove. Now then, I hope you guys are enjoying this~ Let me know what you all think :D
