Author's Note: I mention a movie called 'The Scissoring' in this chapter... yes I'm talking about the movie Jade from Victorious loves - I couldn't come up with a good idea for a horror film name, so this is what I used. I don't own it and we all know that. Anyways, I hope you enjoy the beginning of the KiGo lurrrrrv :D Enjoy~
Kim nervously crossed her legs back and forth, trying to get comfortable in her chair. She glanced down at her hands and then back up at the ex-villain who was waiting for their coffee. Her fingers fidgeted with the hem of her jacket one minute and then were on the table drumming the next.
She jumped when her coffee was placed before her and Shego took a seat across from her. The green skinned woman raised an eyebrow. "You alright Princess? You seem a little skittish."
"Oh, I'm fine. Just, y'know…"
After taking a long sip from her cup, waiting for the redhead to continue, Shego asked, "No, I don't know. Is something wrong?"
Kim licked her lips nervously. "I just didn't think you and I would ever sit down for coffee together."
Chuckling, the older woman replied, "Neither did I. Who knew enemies could get together like this for a chat after fighting for years."
"Well, you're not as bad as I thought you were."
"Not AS bad? I'm still bad though, huh?" she asked with a little smirk.
"What? N-No, that isn't what I meant, it's just that you were bad and always taunting me and I just thought you hated me and you don't and you're nice to me and I just never thought that we could be sitting here and possibly holding a conversation in person." The redhead inhaled deeply after rushing the words out in one breath.
"Slow down Kimmy. I'm not going anywhere. And don't worry, I'm just teasing you. You don't need to be so rigid."
"Sorry," she mumbled, slumping against her seat.
Shego sighed and set her coffee down, leaning across the table and placing her hand on the redhead's. "You really don't need to be so stiff around me. This isn't a date Princess, and it's not a trap for one of Drakken's stupid plans. We're just here as friends."
"….Friends?"
"Is acquaintances better?" Shego asked with a knit brow.
The redhead shook her head profusely, "No, I like friends."
"Good," the green skinned woman replied, a smile tugging at the corner of her lips. She retracted her hand from the hero's and immediately Kim missed the heat radiating from the woman across from her.
Kim began to drum her fingers on the table as she took a large gulp of her coffee. It scalded her tongue, but she needed something to shock her out of her skittish state. "So, have you started getting along with the other agents yet?"
Shego waved it off, "Hell no. Those idiots have their heads so far up their ass it's disgusting. I can't deal with them. They're so straight-laced and it's mind numbing. I feel like I'm slowly losing IQ points the longer I'm around them. They can't think out of the box."
"Don't be too hard on them. They've never had a fight where they have to think outside the box. They end up with quack villains like Professor Dementor and the like. Honestly, I may fight quack villains a lot of the time, but I've also fought you. I know how to think outside the box if I want to survive."
"True. If they ever went up against me they'd have to think outside the box unless they want to be burned alive. Well, I think it'd take a few run-ins with me to really knock it into their skulls, but it can't be helped. There aren't that many horrifying villains out there anymore. It used to be so much worse when I was a hero."
Kim raised an eyebrow. "Oh? Talking about your hero days now, hmm? Do tell please."
Shego rolled her eyes. "You remember Electronique, right?"
The redhead nodded.
"When we were younger she was a lot harder to fight. She's a good 10 years older than me at the least, and she had more experience with the whole villain scene than I or my brothers had in the hero scene. She was a veteran compared to us. We were trainees who didn't know what the difference was between a straight and a right hook. She knocked us around the block quite a few times because we always stuck to the same routine. We thought that just one routine would work. If it worked before it would work again. Wrong. If we didn't switch things up, we were just going to get pummeled more and more. My brothers were against the change, but seeing as how they can't say no to me, I finally managed to knock a little sense into them. We changed our attack strategy and we won. It was barely a win, but it was a win nonetheless."
"So you went through way worse than all those GJ agents then, huh?"
"Yeah. That's alright though. They don't know how to fight, but they still manage to win a decent amount of bouts. That's proof that the world is in an okay place right now. No need to force them to learn things that aren't needed."
"But what if one day they need to learn to fight better? What if they face someone like Electronique?"
Shego smirked, "Then I guess it's up to you and the buffoon to bail them out."
Kim raised an eyebrow, "Not you?"
She shrugged and finished off her coffee. "I only do as I'm instructed. If I don't get the order, well, that sucks for the agents who'll get their asses handed to them."
The redhead chuckled and finished her coffee as well. "I bet those agents are just going to come to love you these next few months."
Her sarcasm was noted and Shego snorted in reply.
The green skinned woman then stood up and stretched a bit. Then she flashed a smile at the redhead and asked, "So, you up for a movie now? Don't worry, it's still a 'not a date'."
Kim rolled her eyes and stood. "Actually yes, a movie sounds lovely."
Shego held out her arm, "Princess."
The hero linked arms with the ex-villain. "Shego."
The older woman smirked as they left the coffee shop, making their way across town to the movie theater.
When they arrived, they verbally fought for five minutes over who would pay for the tickets. Shego won. Kim was allowed to pick the seats in compensation. She chose the back row, right underneath the projection window.
As they sat down, Kim asked, "Say… what movie did you buy us tickets to?"
Shego shrugged, "Eh, some movie called The Scissoring."
Kim blinked. "Isn't that horror?"
"What? Can't take a little blood and gore? Can't take a little suspense?" Shego asked with a grin.
"I may… be a little squeamish when it comes to movies."
"Don't worry, you can hold my hand if it'll make your feel better," the green skinned woman said in a slightly mocking tone.
The redhead grumbled, but as the lights darkened and the movie was about to begin, she did just as Shego had suggested. She grabbed the ex-villain's hand, pulling the woman closer to her at the same time.
Shego gulped slightly when she realized she just lost her entire arm for the rest of the movie. It was secured tightly between the redhead's arms and her chest. She grumbled, trying to play off her discomfort and the slight green tint that spread across her cheeks.
A/N: Aww, Kimmy is a little afraid of horror xD How cute xD Anyways, let me know what you all think :) I hope you liked it!
