Chunin Exam arc
Kurama no Kyubi: Just so you guys knows, there's gonna be a few chapters until the finals gets started, about three, I think. Each of those chapters will have a dungeon for each of the Triforce wielders, and anyone with half a brain should already know who gets a dungeon this chapter. Now before we go over to the reviews and start the chapter, I've decided that from this chapter and on, I'll be writing down information on one character after the character status on each chapter.
Guest: I think that sasuke should get the phoenix wing but those wing aren't going to come to him easily they will put his through a trial of fire which should for that harded head uchiha to realize that there are other kinds of strength out there that he should acknowledge. whereas for naruto's date with farore well she should be able to find out what orichimaru has done to naruto's seal but being a goddess she should be able easily undo it although the end results will be that naruto ends up gaining the werefox powers that I suggested he eventually get sort like link in twilight princess only this time it's a fox form instead of a wolf this time around. and not a nine tailed fox please and thank you.
Kurama no Kyubi: Thanks for the suggestions, but I think Obito would find out what Orochimaru's done just as easily. Also, as I said, the Phoenix Wings won't make a return in this story, they might show up in the sequel though.
Eternal Dragon Keeper21: Awesome chapter as always, Did you use the timeline that was in Hyrule historia if so then that's pretty cool, I also liked how you made the sage of six paths the wielder of the triforce of courage and making his children the wielders as well, what I didn't see coming was you having Obito being one of good guys, I hope you have a great vacation and make sure to check out my story as well it's called "The Tales of The Warriors of Light and Darkness." It's a work in progress, but check out and PM me if you have any ideas or approvements for the story, because I'm not really the best when it comes to English writing I mean I know where everything goes and all that, but it's hard for me to put them down on paper.

Chapter 14: Nakano Shrine
"Come on. Don't you wanna know where we went?" Tael asked as he floated around Sasuke's head.
"Not really." Sasuke said as he walked through the streets of the village.
He'd been training with Kakashi non-stop for the entire week, so the Jonin decided to be nice and give him a day off since any more continuous training would just end up doing more harm than good. Shortly after Sasuke had returned to the village, he ran into Tael who'd been looking for him.
"Really? Sure you don't wanna know?" Tael asked.
"Okay, okay. Where did the three of you run off to?" Sasuke asked as he was getting tired of Tael's pestering.
"Sorry, it's classified, can't tell ya." Tael said, causing Sasuke to mentally face-palm.
The two of them then reached the Nakano Shrine, apparently Sasuke had to check something. As the Uchiha approached the door, Tael sat down on a rock, expecting to have to wait outside just like last time.
As Sasuke opened the door he thought back to some of the things that Itachi had told him the day of the massacre.
"In the Nakano Shrine, under the seventh tatami mat on the far right."
"But there is a catch, you've got to take the life of your best friend, like I did."
"Nii-san. I will never gain power the same way you did. I'll find a different way." He then said as Tael looked towards him in confusion.
"Something wrong, Sasuke?" Tael asked.
"Iie…" Sasuke said before looking over his shoulder "Come on. What are you waiting for?" He then walked into the shrine.
'I guess he wants me to follow him.' Tael thought before he flew after the Uchiha.
As the small Fairy entered the shrine, he saw that one of the tatami mats had been moved out of the way to reveal a hidden staircase, so he flew down, assuming that that was the way that Sasuke had went.
"Whoa. What's this room?" Tael asked as he arrived in the hidden room beneath the shrine before he flew over to Sasuke who was looking at a tablet.
"Those are some ancient Hylian letters you got there." Tael said as he looked at the tablet.
"Can you read them?" Sasuke asked.
"Well, sure. No problem." Tael said before he landed in front of the tablet and looked it over as he thought 'Ah, great. I knew I shouldn't have slept through the "Ancient Hylian Classes" back at the "Fairy Guardian School".'
He then read something at the bottom of the tablet which he could understand, and suddenly a piece of the wall opened up to reveal a door.
"What the…?" Sasuke said as he walked towards the door. When he reached it, he noticed a staircase which went down as far as the eye could see "Nani? There's a hidden place even deeper beneath the shrine?"
Being curious and seeing as though it was very dark beyond the door, he grabbed one of the torches before walking down, and Tael flew after him.
(Dungeon #3: Nakano Shrine.)
As Sasuke reached the bottom of the stairs, he found a door which he then opened, revealing a corridor that – from the middle – forked in four different directions, including the one that Sasuke and Tael came in from.
Sasuke walked to the middle of the corridor as Tael was sitting on his shoulder, and he looked around. The door in front of him – which was larger than the others – appeared to be locked, if the giant key-hole and chains weren't anything to go by. There were also one candle on either side of the door.
Both of the doors to the side were open, however, so Sasuke picked the one to the right and entered through it.
He then came into a corridor which went straight forward, and he walked through it until a huge spider suddenly came down, hanging by a thin thread.
"Whoa… What the…?" Sasuke said as he jumped backwards.
"It's a Skulltula, Sasuke. Its weak-spot is on its stomach, so you have to wait till…" Tael was cut off, however, when he noticed Sasuke holding up the tora sign.
"Katon: Goukakyo no Jutsu!" He then fired a ball of fire from his mouth which went straight for the Skulltula.
However, when the fire was done passing by it, the Skulltula was still there.
'Nani?' Sasuke thought in surprise.
"It's no use, a Skulltula's shell is indestructible. So your attacks will be ineffective against it unless you attack its stomach." Tael said.
Sasuke then noticed that the thread had caught fire so the Skulltula fell down, and landed on its feet before running towards the two."
"Great. You just made things worse for us." Tael said before Sasuke leapt over the Skulltula as he threw a kunai with an explosive tag attached to it at its shell before landing on the floor behind it as the tag blew up.
Sasuke's eyes widened, however, when the Skulltula came out of the smoke, running towards him. Sasuke then leapt back just in time to avoid the Skulltulla's fangs.
'Seems Tael was right. That shell really is indestructible. Well, in that case…' The Uchiha thought before he suddenly vanished before kicking the Skulltula up into the air, Lee-style and throwing a kunai at its stomach, killing it.
"You all right?" Sasuke asked as he rose to his feet as he noticed that Tael seemed pretty dizzy.
"Yeah. Just promise me, you won't do that again." Tael said.
"No promises." Sasuke said before entering through the next door.
The next room was in a rectangular shape with the door to the next room being at the far end of the room which was far to Sasuke's left. Sasuke also noticed that there were quite a lot of coffins in the room.
As he took a few steps into the room, metal bars suddenly came down in front of both the door he came in as well as the other door in the room. All of the coffins then opened as skeletons rose out of each. The skeletons also wore armor which Sasuke recognized as being the armor which shinobi commonly used prior to the founding of the villages.
"This time its Stalfoses. Be careful, Sasuke, there's a lot of 'em." Tael said.
"Thirty." Sasuke said as he had activated his Sharingan.
"Huh?" Tael looked at him in confusion.
"There's thirty of them. This shouldn't take more than ten moves." Sasuke said before weaving a series of hand signs "1! Katon: Goukakyo no Jutsu!"
A large ball of heated oxygen was then exhaled from the young Uchiha's mouth, destroying five of the Stalfoses. Several of the Stalfoses then fired their respective Goukakyos at Sasuke, but the young Uchiha dodged them before throwing a kunai with and explosive tag attached to it at a group of Stalfoses.
"2!" He then said before the tag blew up, taking three of the Stalfoses with it, and the right arm of another "3!" Sasuke was then standing in that Stalfos' face as he had a kunai buried into its spine before swinging it out, causing the Stalfos to crumble to dust.
"4!" He said as he jumped into the air while weaving a series of hand signs "Katon: Housenka no Jutsu!" Several balls of flame then rained down on several of the Stalfoses, killing another five.
As Sasuke landed, a Stalfos which was holding a sword, swung the sword downwards, but before it realized what happened it found Sasuke's foot in its jaw, separating the head from the body "5!"
"Heh. That's fifteen down, and in just five moves too." Sasuke said before pulling out four shuriken, and he threw them at the skulls of four of the Stalfoses, killing them "6!"
"7!" He said as he then kicked another one in the ribs, cracking them, before he put an explosive tag on the Stalfos' forehead, and threw the skeleton in a group of five, destroying all of them as the tag blew up "8!" (Kurama no Kyubi: He counted throwing the thing as an individual move.)
"9!" Sasuke said before he destroyed another five with a Goukakyo, leaving only one left. He then pulled out two kunai, one in each hand before disappearing in a burst of speed and reappearing behind the Stalfos as said skeleton crumbled to dust "10!"
"Whoa. That was awesome, Sasuke!" Tael exclaimed as he flew over to the Uchiha. He'd made sure to get off of Sasuke's shoulders as soon as the Stalfoses came out of the coffins "Though I must say that I'm surprised. I've never heard of Stalfoses that can use Jutsu before."
"They're dead Uchiha. Let's just hope that they can't use the Sharingan." Sasuke said.
"Well, they don't have eyes, so that's pretty unlikely." Tael said as Sasuke looked at the empty eye-holes in one of the skulls.
"You're right. Their eyes are gone." Sasuke said.
"Why's that so strange? Don't eyes usually rot away with time?" Tael asked.
"Yes, usually. But eyes containing a Dojutsu won't rot away so easily. In fact it would take at least over a hundred years for a normal Sharingan to rot. None of these remains are nearly that old." Sasuke said
"What does that mean?" Tael asked.
"It means that this place was ransacked." Sasuke said.
"Who'd wanna steal a bunch of eyes, anyway?" Tael asked.
"No idea. But whoever it is. It can't be good." Sasuke said before he walked towards the door as Tael flew after him.
They then entered a smaller square-shaped room with metal bars in the middle, blocking off the way to a lever on the wall and a chest.
The door behind them was then sealed shut by metal bars as a coffin suddenly came out of the floor before opening, revealing what appeared to be a zombie, and Sasuke's eyes widened as he recognized it.
"T-tou-san…?" He said in surprise as the Redead opened his eyes to reveal a pair of Sharingan.
"This one's still got his eyes!" Tael exclaimed.
"Sasu… ke…?" The Redead said.
"Nani? I didn't know that Redeads could talk!" Tael said.
"Tou-san… how can you be alive?" Sasuke asked.
"I'm not… my spirit is trapped in this decaying body. I'm lucky to be one of the few who still has their conscience." The Redead, Uchiha Fugaku said.
Sasuke took a few steps forward, but Fugaku held up his hand, causing him to stop.
"Don't come any closer. I'm not in complete control over my body any longer." He said.
"What do you mean?" Sasuke asked.
"There's something-someone controlling my movements. One that controls all the dead." Fugaku said.
'Controls all the dead?' Sasuke thought before asking "Is it one of the Seven Great Demon Lords?"
"Iie. It's something much, much worse." Fugaku said before his eyes widened and he yelled "Watch out!"
He then charged at Sasuke at speeds no Redead should be capable of. Sasuke barely managed to dodge a punch before he pulled out a kunai and threw it. However, Fugaku blocked it with his arm before grabbing it and charging at Sasuke again.
"Sasuke, tell me. What did Itachi say to you that day?" Fugaku asked as he swung the kunai at Sasuke, who blocked it with one of his own.
"He told me how to awaken the Mangekyo Sharingan, and that I should live with my hatred for him." Sasuke said as he parried Fugaku's kunai.
"I see. Did he tell you something else?" Fugaku asked as he leapt back and weaved a series of hand signs "Katon: Goukakyo no Jutsu!"
"He told me about the hidden place beneath the Nakano Shrine." Sasuke said as he dodged the fire ball before wrapping an explosive tag around his kunai, and he threw it at Fugaku, who then dodged it just in time to avoid the explosion.
"Did he ever tell you why he destroyed the clan?" Fugaku asked as he charged at Sasuke again while weaving a series of hand signs.
"He told me that he did it to test the limits of his abilities." Sasuke said.
"I see… So he decided to tell you a lie instead of his real reason, just as I thought." Fugaku said as a blade of wind formed from around his left hand and he swung said hand at Sasuke, but the younger Uchiha dodged it.
"Nani? What do you mean, "he lied"? What were his true reasons?" Sasuke asked as he weaved a series of hand signs "Katon: Goukakyo no Jutsu!"
A ball of fire was then exhaled from Sasuke's mouth and it went straight towards Fugaku, but the older Uchiha just weaved a series of hand signs before slamming his hands down on the floor.
"Doton: Doryuheki!" A wall of earth then rose up, out of the floor, blocking the fire ball's path.
"I see you've mastered the Goukakyo quite well, Sasuke. That's my boy." Fugaku said, causing Sasuke to smile.
Fugaku then jumped over the wall of earth as he went through a series of hand signs "Doton: Doryudan no Jutsu!"
A dragon of earth then came out of the wall as Fugaku landed on its head as it headed towards Sasuke, but the younger Uchiha dodged it by leaping to the left as Fugaku got a glimpse of the mark of the Triforce of Power.
"That mark on your hand." He said as the earth dragon stopped moving as it looked towards Sasuke.
"So you noticed it, huh?" Sasuke said.
"To think that you of all people would get the Triforce of Power, maybe this is fate." Fugaku said.
"What do you mean?" Sasuke asked.
"The Triforce of Power has a power which neither of the other two Triforce pieces has; it can return lost souls to the Otherworld." Fugaku said.
"It can?" Sasuke asked, and Fugaku nodded.
"Now, Sasuke, come and send me to the Otherworld, so I can finally join your mother." Fugaku said.
"Right." Sasuke said before he charged at his father.
The earth dragon charged at him, but he jumped into the air before stabbing a kunai straight into Fugaku's chest, and due to the speed he was moving on, Sasuke pinned Fugaku to the wall on the other end of the room.
"Now, Sasuke. Place your right hand on my forehead." Fugaku said, and Sasuke did as he was told. The mark of the Triforce of Power then started glowing brightly as Fugaku could feel himself getting pulled towards the Otherworld.
"Sasuke, don't… blame your brother… it wasn't… his fault… it was our…" Was all Fugaku could say before he lost consciousness.
As Sasuke looked at his father's remains, he couldn't get his last words out of his head.
"Sasuke, don't… blame your brother… it wasn't… his fault… it was our…"
'What did he mean by that?' Sasuke thought before the metal bars suddenly rose up.
"You did it Sasuke!" Tael exclaimed.
Sasuke then rose to his feet before he walked over to the chest and opened it before pulling out a fan which was identical to the Uchiha clan crest.
He then pulled the lever before walking back all the way to where they had come in to see that the candle on the right side of the door had been lighted. They then went through the door opposite of the one they'd just come from, and everything on that side of the dungeon was pretty much the same, just mirrored. (Kurama no Kyubi: Since it's pretty much the same, I won't bother going through it.)
After returning back to the entrance again, they saw that the other candle had been lighted, and there was now a chest standing in the middle.
Sasuke then opened said chest before pulling out a large key which looked like it would fit into the key-hole on the large door.
He then proceeded to unlock said door before entering through it, into a large, round room.
As they took a few steps into the room, metal bars suddenly went down in front of the door they came in as the floor started going down like an elevator. Then, Redeads, Gibdos, and Stalfoses suddenly rose out of the floor before looking at Sasuke.
"This doesn't look good, Sasuke." Tael said.
"Well, we'll just have to beat them. How hard can it be?" Sasuke said.
"But wouldn't all these guys be Chunin or Jonin in life?" Tael asked.
"Yes, but so were all the ones we've faced so far too. Plus, my father was Kage-Level. Besides, as long as they don't have their conscience, they won't be as strong as they were in life." Sasuke said as he pulled out a kunai and the Uchiha Fan.
He then charged towards the undead soldiers before waving the fan, causing a powerful gust of wind to blow, and he then followed up with a Goukakyo, causing a huge firestorm as the flames and wind mixed.
Sasuke then charged at one of the Stalfoses before destroying it by swinging his kunai through its spine. He then followed up with a heel-kick to the head of another Stalfos before firing the Housenka at a group of Gibdos, killing them.
He then noticed that with each one he killed, one more came out of the floor, causing him to curse.
"Very well, then. If you guys wanna be like that." Sasuke said as he closed his eyes, and when he opened them again, his Sharingan was activated.
He then continued fighting the never-ending waves of undead soldiers until the floor eventually reached the bottom, and the undead soldiers finally stopped coming.
"Haah… haah… About… time…" Sasuke panted, seeing as though he'd gotten pretty tired from all the fighting.
He then walked towards a door before walking through it, to enter a smaller room which had a single coffin in the middle of it.
As he took a few steps into the room, the door was suddenly sealed off as a sealing formula appeared on it, and then the coffin opened as a Stalfos rose up.
Sasuke noticed that this one was a little different from the other Stalfoses. While it was a skeleton, and did have the same armor, this one also had long, wild black hair as well as a blind-fold.
"Who are you?" The Stalfos suddenly asked, surprising Sasuke.
"I'm… Uchiha Sasuke, a Genin of Konohagakure no Sato." Sasuke said.
"Konoha? Never heard of it." The Stalfos said before thinking a little "Ah! Could it be that nii-san and Hashirama really did it?"
"You knew the Shodai?" Sasuke asked.
""Shodai"?" The Stalfos asked.
"The first leader of the village, the Shodai Hokage; Senju Hashirama." Sasuke said.
"Yes, I suppose you could say that I knew him. Though I didn't know him on a personal level. I knew enough for me not to try to fight him though." The Stalfos said before continuing after a short pause "You said your name was "Uchiha Sasuke", correct?" Sasuke nodded at the question "Well, my name's Uchiha Izuna."
"Izuna? Where have I heard that name before?" Sasuke thought out loud.
"Well, I suppose you could say that I'm the co-founder of the Uchiha clan." Izuna said.
"You don't say… and I suppose that I'll have to beat you in order to get out of here, right?" Sasuke guessed.
"Seems like it." Izuna said as he rose to his feet before picking up a katana which was lying next to the coffin as he stepped out of said coffin.
Sasuke then assumed a battle stance, and Izuna noticed the Triforce mark on the back of his hand.
"Well, then. Come at me, Power child." Izuna said, and Sasuke charged at him while activating his Sharingan.
(Boss #7: Co-founder of the Uchiha clan, Uchiha Izuna.)
Izuna swung his katana at Sasuke, but the younger Uchiha dodged it before weaving a series of hand signs, ending with the tora sign.
"Katon: Goukakyo no Jutsu!" A ball of flames was then fired off towards Izuna, but he just started weaving a series of hand signs, himself.
"Katon: Goukakyo no Jutsu!" The two fire balls then hit each other, and Izuna charged through smoke and fire before swinging his katana at Sasuke.
Sasuke leaned back, just barely avoiding the sharp blade before pulling out a kunai with an explosive tag attached to it, and he threw it at the older Uchiha.
Izuna cut the kunai and tag to pieces, however, rendering both useless before charging at Sasuke. Sasuke then leapt back before pulling out the Uchiha Fan, and he waved it, causing a powerful gust of wind to blow, and he then used the Goukakyo, almost setting the whole room ablaze.
Izuna was sent skidding backwards before coming to a halt. Sasuke was then about to charge at him, but he stopped in his tracks when Izuna held up his hand.
"Hold it. I just need to get something." He said before walking over to the wall, and pulling out a box which was hiding among all the bricks which made up the wall. Izuna then opened the box to reveal that it was filled with water, and he then pulled out a pair of eyes "So he took my eyes after all, and left behind his own."
He then removed the blind-fold before placing the eye-balls into his previously empty sockets. The eyes then went from the normal Sharingan, and into the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan. (Kurama no Kyubi: They're the same as Madara's, so I won't bother describing them.)
"Mangekyo Sharingan…" Sasuke noted.
"No. These are Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan. They are more powerful than your average Mangekyo." Izuna said before turning to Sasuke "Tell me, Sasuke. What was the fate of my brother? What became of Uchiha Madara?"
"He died fighting the Shodai at the place now known as the Final Valley." Sasuke said.
"I see…" Izuna said before a large red being appeared around him.
"Nani?" Sasuke said in surprise.
"Do you like it? This is the Susano'o. Only a few wielders of the Mangekyo get to be lucky enough to have this Jutsu." Izuna said before adding "I still haven't managed to perfect it though. And it seems that someone's taken my Totsuka blade and Yata Mirror… you're quite lucky, you know that?"
Suddenly Sasuke got a bad feeling, and he jumped out of the way just in time to avoid getting burned alive by black flames.
"Kuso. This fight just got a whole lot worse, and I don't have many weapons left either." He said before pulling out a kunai while attaching an explosive tag to it "This is my last explosive tag, better make it count."
He then charged at Izuna as he moved in a zig-zag pattern before reaching the Susano'o, and stabbing the kunai right into its skin before leaping away, and just mere seconds later, the tag blew up. To Sasuke's dismay, however, while the Susano'o had gotten a hole in it, said hole was closing itself, and Izuna didn't seem to have suffered any injury.
"Enton: Kuroka-Shuriken!" Several shuriken made out of black flames then appeared before Izuna before they shot towards Sasuke.
The younger Uchiha then weaved a series of hand signs before ending at the tora sign.
"Katon: Goukakyo no Jutsu!" He then exhaled a ball of fire, but said fire ball was suddenly engulfed by Izuna's black flames.
'Nani? His black flames can even burn ordinary fire?' Sasuke thought before leaping to the side to avoid getting burned by more black flames.
Suddenly, however, he found himself trapped with black flames on all sides.
"Enton: Kuroka Chen!" The black flames then latched out at Sasuke, forming into chains as they wrapped themselves around the young Uchiha's legs, wrists, biceps, and neck, burning into the flesh as Sasuke let out a deafening scream of pain.
"SASUKE!" Tael yelled.
Sasuke's eyes closed in pain, but when they opened, Izuna's eyes widened. Sasuke's eyes had now a black background with three intersecting red eclipses. Izuna's eyes widened even more, however, when all of the black flames in the room seemed to be sucked into the younger Uchiha's eyes.
'So… he's got the Mangekyo Sharingan. And at such a young age too.' Izuna thought.
"This power… it's just like back then…" Sasuke said as he looked at his hands while he remembered back when he'd first awakened the Mangekyo "So… that's what happened." He then clenched his hands before looking at Izuna "I hope you're ready!"
He then charged at Izuna as he pulled out his last kunai and last shuriken before dodging several shuriken that were made out of black flames. He then stabbed his kunai into the side of the Susano'o before running around to the Susano'o's back as he seemed to open it up with his kunai.
When he reached its back, he swung the kunai out before throwing the shuriken at Izuna's head before weaving a series of hand signs as he charged towards him.
"Katon: Goukakyo no Jutsu!" He called out, this time landing a direct hit on the Stalfos, and as the flames had finished passing through him, Sasuke jumped over him, before placing his palm on the older Uchiha's forehead as the Triforce mark started glowing.
"You did well to defeat me Sasuke… but you were wrong. Madara somehow survived his battle with Hashirama, and his legacy is still alive. Sasuke… beware of the Red Dawn." Izuna said before his soul was pulled into the Otherworld, leaving a confused Sasuke.
'"Beware the Red Dawn"? What did he mean by that?' Sasuke thought.
Land of Fire, field
Somewhere in the Land of Fire were two men sitting on a rock, they were both wearing black robes, and on these robes were red clouds.
Chapter preview
Shiho "There's a secret passageway leading to a hidden basement beneath the library. If the book you're looking for is anywhere in Konoha, my guess is that it'd be somewhere in there."
Sakura "Whoa… This place is huge."…"Has all of this really been hiding beneath the village all this time?"
Darknut "Thieves. I will not have you steal any books from this library."
Sakura "This… this is it… It's the Book of Mudora!"
Tatl "Next time on The Legend of Naruto: The Book of Mudora."
Sakura "I call upon the heavenly bolts of lightning to come down and destroy my enemies! Ether!"

Bio: At a young age, Sasuke witnessed his entire clan getting slaughtered by his own brother, and therefore grew a deep hatred for him, and he even swore that he would kill his brother by any means necessary. However, because of his hatred for Itachi, he built a cage around himself, blocking himself out from anyone else. After he became a member of team 7, however, he seems to have loosened up a bit.
Kurama no Kyubi: And that's another chapter done. Also, if you're wondering why I started the character information with Sasuke, it's because I figured that he'd fit best in this chapter, since it is a chapter about him, after all.
