Kurama no Kyubi: Now the invasion has finally begun, so let's hurry on with the reviews so we can get over to the chapter.
Guest: here an idea for another fire emblem/naruto crossover to consider when you have the time to make it. the story starts off in Konahona with our favorite blond hyper active ninja naruto when he discovers the reason why his village disliked him just for existing but when Iruka shows that he doesn't dislike naruto inspite of the fact that he contains the very being that killed his parents it ends up causing our young hero to recieve an early visit from his tenent the nine tailed fox luckily the fox is rather concerned about his host't well fare and honestly want to help him out and he does so by awakening a side of young hero that he didn't know he had reveal that he wasn't even human to begin with he is a lagruz a fox lagruz to be specific and from that point the fox tells our young hero about his heritage, history and the physical advantages he has as a lagruz of course his hometown has a few lagruz clans. But the point is that his fight against mizuki is going to go the same way it did in the canon aside from the fact that he uses the curse seal potion to turn himself temporaly into a tiger lagruz but luckily the fox teaches our young hero how to tranform into his lagruz beast form just in the nick of time in order to stop Mizuki. it's just suggestion also our hero should slowly learn about how to truly be formidible lagruzwarrior step by step with help of his tenent like tracking, fighting and anything else which can benifit our young hero of course this will eventual lead hero to pay telius a visit some time in the distant future should you consider writing this suggestion of a story alright.
Kurama no Kyubi: I'll think about it. But if he's going to Tellius later on, it might just very well be a prequel to Naruto: Path of Radiance, so how about this; instead of Naruto going to Tellius, the Elemental Nations is Tellius, just far into the future.
Guest: as for naruto and sonic crossover here's a suggestion for the next chapter I would suggest that he tell naruto and co about his world also here's a big plot device to add to this story power rings and elemental rings along with master elemental chaos emeralds for each and every one the elemental nations and the offical rite of passage for any aspiring inja in this world is called ring branding which enable the ninja to ultalise the power of the of ring regardless of the fact that there elemental or power rings in sync with their chakra. the differance between the power ring and the emental ring is that while power rings enhance physical abilities and elemental rings enhance elemental jutsu making them a very big part of their arsenal where as for the master elemental chaos emeralds they work as a means of maintaining the land's vitality to an extent though not quite to the effect of the stone of gelei. but otherwise a land without these emeralds would not be able to surivive for very long. please do consider this suggestion alright? good bye.
Kurama no Kyubi: Sure, but the Power Rings were invented by an Overlander scientist from Sonic's world whose name escapes me right now, so I don't see how they could have Power Rings in the Elemental Nations, but Elemental Rings would work just fine. Also, Master Elemental Chaos Emeralds is kind of a mouth-full, so how about just calling them Elemental Emeralds.
Naruto Obito Halliwell Uzumaki: So I am guessing Ganondorf is after the Triforce.
Kurama no Kyubi: Did you figure that all out on your own? (sarcasm). Seriously though, it's been stated since the prologue that he wanted it, so why would you guess that first now?
Guest: also in regards to my fire emblem and naruto crossover idea I would suggest that naruto discovers just how sharp the senses of a lagruz is the day after his awakening to his supressed Lagruz genes also the very first time he transforms he will have the help of his tenant and his inner beast to help him fight against mizuki on all fours but in order for our young hero to use his beast form to the fullest in terms of fighting and tracking he's going to need a lot of training especially if he encounters foes like orchimaru for instantance. And when our young hero awakens to status as a Lagruz he should take care to hide his Lagruz features namely his tail and ears at least until he's ready to unveil them the general public so he'll have to hide them by wrapping his tail around his waist like a belt under his pant and he'll have to wear a hat which should more or less cover his while wearing a fake pair of ears in order to further hide the fact that he's a lagruz also he should start use hunter spray in order to hide his Lagruz scent from dogs and other lagruz clans that reside in his village.
Kurama no Kyubi: As I said above, I'll think about it. Though I doubt that Naruto would want to hide his status as a Laguz.
ImagineBreaker7: Well that was interesting so now it's time for the invasion I wonder what parts Team 7 will play in it.
Kurama no Kyubi: Sakura, not so much. Naruto and Sasuke will play some bigger parts, though.

Kurama no Kyubi: Well, considering that I've got absolutely no way of telling the Guests apart from one-another, I've got no idea which suggestion you're talking about, but sure, I'll consider it.
Guest: also during naruto's training trip with jiraiya in the search for tsunade I would goe wit naruto meet elzo the minish sage and maybe even midna. but erza should also take part in this journey in order to teach naruto who to use the weapons that he possesses to effectively for after all he's been using them instinctively and instincts can only go so far.
Kurama no Kyubi: Actually, if I do add Ezlo and Midna to the story, they'll first appear in the sequel, not before.
Guest: you know of the element seven who're serving under gonandorf luna' name does sort of stand out as a contradiction for luna mean moon thus you'd think that her element may have been related to the moon but instead you made her a long range sniping magnifying glass in term of using her power the of light as her primary weapon is her arsenal so you'd expect that she'd be call say something solinana or generally name which had sol in it for sun. I know that three of konohona's defenders kicking the bucket is a big downer but can you get the hero's to use light force to say wish that the defenders and everybody else who may die in the upcoming battle of konohona to revived once more sort like the dragon balls and following those rules only instead of the grace period in which the people who can be revived and can't be revived instead of it being one year why don't make either a week or three days and this revival can only be used once and the light force's wish can only be used once a year. please do consider this suggestion alright? bye.
Kurama no Kyubi: The Light Force is the remains of the Goddess, Hylia's power, and even the Goddesses can't defy the laws of nature, so the Light Force can't bring someone back to life, not that Sakura would be nearly skilled enough for such a feat, anyway. Plus, the deaths of those three are important to the plot, so I wouldn't have brought them back either way. Also, about Luna's name, I know that it means "moon", but hey, one of the Summon Spirits of Light in Tales of Symphonia is named Luna, so why not. Also, she's not primarily a long-range fighter, she's more of an all-range fighter.
Guest: is Maple going to be fighting against Veran? and who're the five grand witches don't tell me that each of the kage's of the five elemental nation have witches like maple standing in as an advisor of sorts? for I mean five kage's and five grand witch's?
Kurama no Kyubi: I think you mean Syrup, and no, each of the Kage don't have a witch advisor, in fact none of them do, with the exception of Ganondorf. Syrup only happens to be an old friend of Hiruzen.
Guest: is Syrup going to be fighting against vernan in the very next chapter of you're story?
Kurama no Kyubi: Well, the fight will start.
Guest: here another suggestion for a weapon and potential plot device for your story the mirror of truth which can act as means of show one's innermost nature of their very heart and soul laid bare within it's reflection making it a very powerful psychological weapon against certain foes. also you should give sakura some other elemental arrow attacks like ice, wind, earth, light and maybe darkness just as few suggestions to potentially consider adding to you're story. as for when naruto should potential obtain the astra glove the circumstance which lead to him obtaining it will make him under take a real trial of courage in he'll have to face his worst fear an army of ghosts which are out for his blood in a haunted ruin with no apparent way out until he manages to exorcize every last ghost within those ruins luckily should he manage to find the astra glove he should be able to effectively fight back against them and any other denizen of the similar to quite effective and even more so when he finially get's his hand on the master assuming of course that he get's his hands on it. but when I mention that dark naruto bit you point out that his darkside would be his side in a sense usually when hero's face of against their dark side they end up fighting each to the death not work together to put an end to a common enemy who potential aim to destroy the whole world care to explain that bit in the next chapter of your saga?
Kurama no Kyubi: I'll think about your suggestion. Also, Sakura's already used ice arrows. And about Shadow Naruto, if you refer to that comment I made about him hating Ganondorf as much as the real Naruto, well, in this story, Shadow Naruto is pretty much a physical embodiment of all the darkness within Naruto much like Dark Naruto.
Guest: also for the next chapter you should have ventus reveal some of his past to sasuke and naruto.
Kurama no Kyubi: He's not gonna do that, mostly because he prefers keeping his past to himself, but also because he won't see Naruto and Sasuke during the entire invasion.
Guest: well you could officially introduce mudura shortly after the chunin exams to naruto and co. also please do update soon. Bye

Kurama no Kyubi: That'll depend on how the invasion goes, cause Vaati is paired up against a pretty strong fighter.
Guest: about that dark charkra energy blast that sasuke used when he initially awaken his triforce's power when will he learn how use that and other variations of that technique in battle?
Kurama no Kyubi: It's not a technique, and no, he's not gonna want to use that for reasons that will be revealed a couple of chapters from now.

Kurama no Kyubi: Yes, they will find out, but I'm not telling when.

Guest: I'd say that the chunin exam have more or less changed naruto and his teammates for the better psychologically speaking.
Kurama no Kyubi: Yes, it probably has.
Guest: here are some quests that you could assign for naruto and his teammates find the artifacts of their respective goddesses in order to gain the strength that they need to face the challenges that await them down road that they walk such as the pearls, pendants and the spirit stones also they need to meet the sages all in order to obtain the mastersword but when they obtain it will act as a power up not for naruto's sword but sasuke and sakura's sword's as well. also since you've made naruto's initial sword like the four sword does that mean he'll eventual obtain the power to split himself in four copies if so he's going to find out that his fantasy him times four isn't not going to workout the way he had hope for not only will he and him his teammates have to work with him but he has to quite literally work with himself times three considering the fact that they are separate parts of his persona if and when it comes down to it.
Kurama no Kyubi: No, the Hakko Chakura To is not going to obtain the powers of the Four Sword, they might just pay a visit to the Four Sword Sanctuary, though. However, whether or not they'll draw it is another matter.

Chapter 23: Operation: Destroy Konoha
Just outside the village walls there was a huge puff of smoke before a gigantic three-headed snake suddenly appeared before busting through the wall, and into the village.
Arena
As the Kage box was engulfed in smoke, the seven ANBU present leapt up towards the smoke cloud.
"Team A above. Team B below… protect the lords and nobles." An ANBU wearing a white robe in contrast to the black robes usually worn by the ANBU said.
The three members of team B then jumped down below as the other four continued towards the smoke before the Kazekage's bodyguards came out of the smoke.
"Out of the way…" The ANBU captain said as he cut the two Suna-nin in two, however, as they approached the smoke, the Kazekage jumped up, holding his right arm around Hiruzen's neck while holding a kunai in his left hand.
As the "Suna-nin" landed on the roof one person jumped out of each of the four parts before landing on the roof above in a rectangular formation with the Kazekage and Hiruzen in the middle.
"After them!" The ANBU captain said before leaping up to the roof above along with his teammates.
"Do it…" The Kazekage said before each of the ones that had jumped up earlier – who were revealed to be Oto-nin – clasped their hands together.
"Ninpou: Shishienjin!" The four of them said in unison as a barrier appeared around them.
One of the ANBU crashed into the barrier before catching fire as he rolled down the roof as the other three landed before the barrier.
"It's a barrier…!" The ANBU captain said.
Stands, Kabuto
Kabuto, who was in an ANBU disguise was standing at the bottom of the stands, holding his hands in the tora sign as several Oto-nin landed next to him.
"So he's the one who performed the Genjutsu…" Konoha Chunin, Aoba said.
"So it would appear…" Another Chunin said.
"There was a ninth traitor…" Guy said.
Lookout tower
'Oto ninja!' Hiruzen thought as he noticed the Oto-nin before saying "I never imagined Suna would betray Konoha…"
"Treaties are merely smoke-screens to lull the other party into relaxing their guard. This pitiful pretend competition is now over. From here on out, history will be made…" The Kazekage said.
"Are you inciting war?" Hiruzen asked.
"Indeed." The Kazekage said.
"Let us avoid violence and instead reach a settlement through negotiation… Kazekage-dono. There is still time for that…" Hiruzen said.
"Ho ho… Old age has made you feeble-minded… Sarutobi-sensei." The "Kazekage" said, causing Hiruzen's eyes to widen.
"You…" He said.
Battlegrounds
"H-hey… What's happening?" Naruto asked as he and his two teammates looked around, confusion evident on their faces.
"We're under attack." Genma said as he appeared in a shunshin before them.
"Under attack?" Sakura asked before Baki appeared in a shunshin before Genma while giving a nod to his three students as the two of them that was in the participant box down to the battleground before jumping over the arena's wall as they were joined by Kankuro.
"You three, follow them." Genma said.
"Huh?" Naruto looked at him, wondering what he meant.
"The three Suna-nin that got the furthest in the exams; they headed towards the center of the village. Follow them!" Genma said.
"Understood." Sasuke said, but just as they were about to follow the three, several spears of water shot down, almost hitting them.
'This attack… it's…!' Sakura thought before the three Genin looked towards where the attack had come from to see Aqua standing there.
"I'm sorry, but I can't let you follow them." She said.
"Kh… We don't have time for this." Sasuke said.
"Wait… I'll take her on." Sakura said as she stepped forward, already having drawn her sword.
"Sakura-chan?" Naruto asked.
"I'm the one who asked Farore-sama to heal her, so she's my responsibility." Sakura said.
"Very well, we'll leave her to you." Sasuke said before turning to Naruto "Ikuzo, Naruto!"
"Right." Naruto said as he and Sasuke jumped up, over the arena's wall while looking down towards Sakura and thinking 'Don't die on us, Sakura-chan.'
"I figured that I might have to face you sooner or later, Sakura-san." Aqua said as she closed her eyes before slowly opening them while continuing "And in that case, I'll use my full power." She was then suddenly enshrouded in a blue aura as her eyes started glowing in the same color.
'Nayru's Love?!' Sakura thought in surprise as her eyes widened.
"Is the host of this little party Orochimaru?" Genma asked as he looked at Baki.
"Who knows…? Let's just amp things up a bit, shall we…?" Baki said.
Participant box
"There's no reason to pretend that you're under the Genjutsu's influence. It doesn't reach here." Neji said as Shikamaru was pretending to sleep before he opened his eyes and rose to his feet.
"Damn. And here I thought that that was a perfect plan." Shikamaru said as he walked towards the railing.
"You go after Naruto and Sasuke. Help them take down Gaara." Neji said.
"Well, it's a drag, but I guess I have no choice." Shikamaru said before turning to Neji "What about you?"
"Ray and Terra went off in another direction. I'm going after them." Neji said before the two of them shunshined away in two different directions.
Lookout tower
"Looks like Gaara's already started." The "Kazekage" said.
"… I see… So that's what afoot…" Hiruzen said.
"Your foolishness has stalled – perhaps even stagnated – Konoha… It's my victory." The "Kazekage" said.
"Hmph…! I thought I taught you not to count your chickens before they're hatched…" Hiruzen said as the "Kazekage" seemed to rip off his face to reveal… "… Orochimaru."
"I thought this day would eventually come… However, my head won't come off as easily…" Hiruzen said.
"I thought I warned you to hurry up and name the Godaime Hokage… because the Sandaime… is going to die right here…" Orochimaru said as he licked the tip of his kunai.
Konoha wall
On the roof on a building on the village's wall was Ibiki sitting against the railing as a Jonin was standing at the wall.
"So… what sort of fellow is this Orochimaru?" The Jonin asked.
"He was formerly the Sandaime Hokage's student…" Ibiki said.
"How did he end up a missing-nin…?" The Jonin asked.
"You see, back in the day – when they were selecting the Yondaime Hokage – Orochimaru supposedly put forth his name for consideration… though ultimately he wasn't chosen… Shortly after that, he ran from the village. Orochimaru's probably resented the Sandaime… ever since…" Ibiki said.
"A vendetta…?" The Jonin asked.
"Most likely. Long ago – back when I was still a brat – I looked at him and had just one thought. That he wasn't human… merely something that had human form… he scared me. Just… scared me…" Ibiki said before another Jonin arrived in a shunshin.
"Reporting in! Giant snakes have appeared in the vicinity of the east gate! Following them, roughly 100 Suna ninja and 50 Tani ninja have infiltrated the village!" The new arriving Jonin said.
'It's finally come!' Ibiki thought before rising to his feet and turning around "Order all shinobi patrolling that area to converge on the scene! Alert the commander of the east gate sentry box!"
"Ah! Ibiki-san!" The Jonin standing by the wall called out as he saw a beam of light that was coming down from the sky and went into the ground while moving towards them.
"Kh…!" Ibiki's eyes widened as he looked over his shoulder before the beam hit the wall, causing a large explosion.
As the smoke from the explosion settled, seven people stood on the roof of the building where Ibiki and the two Jonin had been mere moments ago, or rather, five of them were standing there while the other two were hovering on their brooms.
"Kakakakakakaka!" Koume laughed before saying "It's finally time for the Seven Reapers of Death to move out!"
"Yes. Koume! Luna! Vaati! Veran! Onox! Agahnim! Ikuzo!" Kotake said before they all shunshined off in different directions.
Arena, stands, Flare
Flare was at the bottom of the stands as a Konoha Chunin charged at him, but his right hand was then engulfed in fire.
"Hiken!" He called out as he punched the Chunin in the gut, sending him flying backwards "Heh! You should learn not to mess with me!" He then looked around, looking for someone else to kill, but instead he saw three children up in the stands that were still awake, and looking around in confusion 'Huh? Weren't they hit by the Genjutsu or something? Ah, well. Ganondorf-sama's orders were to kill anyone still awake, and they're awake.'
He then charged up towards the children as he used the heads of random people as stepping-boards.
"Ah! Konohamaru-kun, look!" Moegi cried as she noticed Flare coming towards them, and Konohamaru and Inari then looked towards the Tani-nin before Kaiza suddenly appeared in front of them, balancing on the chairs as clouds darkness seemed to come from his body like smoke.
"Ah! Kaiza-senpai?!" Flare said in surprise as his eyes widened before he was sent flying by a blast of darkness.
"Tou-san?" Inari asked.
"Inari, Konohamaru-san, Moegi-san. I have something that I need you three to do for me." Kaiza said.
Stands, Farore and the others
"Nani? We're under attack?" Kiba asked as he and the others were hiding behind the chairs on the last row of the stands.
"B-but I th-thought that we and S-Suna were allies." Hinata said.
"You can keep saying that, but I doubt the Suna ninja will feel the same way." Navi said as she crossed her arms.
"That's right. Right now, Suna's among our enemies. But they're not the ones we should worry the most about." Farore said and Dimitri jerked his head up to look at her and he let out a curious grunt as if to say; "and who should we worry about".
"A well, that'd be Tani. While they're still just a minor village, they've got some rather powerful shinobi in their Seven Reapers of Death and their Tanikage." Farore said as she looked down at the small reptile.
"You can understand what Dimitri-kun's saying?" Hinata asked, catching Farore's attention.
"Huh? Well, of course. I am the one who created the foundation for all living organisms on this world, after all." She said, causing Kiba, Hinata, and Akamaru to look at her in confusion "Oh, right. Guess, I forgot to tell you, but I'm actually one of the three Golden Goddesses."
"EH?!" Kiba's, Hinata's and Akamaru's eyes widened as their jaws got acquainted with the floor and Farore just smiled with her eyes closed.
Stands, Syrup and Maple
"Syrup-sama, who's that with the Hokage?" Maple asked as she pointed at the lookout tower.
"Huh?" Syrup then looked up towards the tower to see Hiruzen and Orochimaru before narrowing her eyes while saying "Orochimaru!"
Lookout tower
"Are you that over-joyed…? Or is it…" Hiruzen asked as he noticed Orochimaru's eyes tearing up. The Sannin then moved his kunai seemingly towards Hiruzen's neck before stabbing it into the palm of his own right hand as the Hokage continued "… that you actually possess some regret at the thought of killing your teacher and mentor?"
"There… that feels better." Orochimaru said before wiping the tears from his eyes with his left hand while saying "Nah… Just a bit sleepy… Some tears welled up when I yawned, that's all…"
"Exactly as I suspected…" Hiruzen said before Orochimaru released him and walked away before stopping.
"I know you're not a man to be moved by hatred… You have neither motives nor purpose." Hiruzen said.
"Hmm… Actually, I do have a purpose. Well, to put it simply… I enjoy moving objects. It's boring when things stand still, don't you agree…? A motionless pinwheel isn't worth watching… Then again, when it's stopped, it can sometimes be sentimental too…" Orochimaru said while throwing aside the Kazekage hat before turning around "Either way… I want to make the pinwheel spin with the destruction of Konoha right now…"
"Hmph… You haven't changed a bit…" Hiruzen said.
Konoha north gate
Kakashi, Obito, Tekashi, and Nawaki came running in through the gates.
"Looks like we're too late." Tekashi said as he saw an explosion in the distance.
"Nawaki-san, and Tekashi-sensei, you two head off to find Farore-sama. I and Kakashi will go and find Luna." Obito said.
"Right. Come on, Tekashi-san!" Nawaki said before taking to the roof-tops as Tekashi followed him.
"Right behind you!" Tekashi said.
Obito and Kakashi continued running, but then Obito's head jerked up to the left before he pushed Kakashi away while jumping in the opposite direction just as a blast of magical energy hit the ground and the two of them looked towards where it came from to see none other than Agahnim standing on the roof of a building.
"It's been a while, hasn't it, Kakashi?" Agahnim said as he looked down at the masked Jonin.
"You two know each other?" Obito asked.
"Yeah… I fought him back in the Third Great Ninja War." Kakashi said.
"Who won?" Obito asked.
"I did, of course." Agahnim said.
"Obito, you go on ahead, I can handle Agahnim on my own." Kakashi said.
"You sure?" Obito asked.
"Yeah." Kakashi said as he pulled up his Hitai-ate to reveal his Sharingan.
"Very well." Obito said before running off.
"You really think that you should've sent him away?" Agahnim asked.
"I've gotten a lot stronger since the last time." Kakashi said.
"Perhaps… But if I recall correctly, the last time your attacks…" Agahnim said before vanishing "… had no effect."
Kakashi then turned around to see Agahnim standing there, and he jumped back before weaving a series of hand signs. He ended on the tora sign and fired a fire ball towards Agahnim, but said fire ball just passed straight through him, without leaving a mark.
"And I remember you being traumatized by the experience." Agahnim said.
Konoha, Leo and Taurus
Two of Ganondorf's bodyguards – the ones that had accompanied him to watch the finals, the Lion; Leo, and the Bull; Taurus – were running through the streets of the village with an unknown direction in mind. (Kurama no Kyubi: They're both female, by the way.)
"Hold it!" Both of them stopped as none other than Erza was standing on the street in front of them.
'That's…!' Leo thought with wide eyes.
"To stand in our way, you obviously don't know who we are." Taurus said before she grabbed a large axe which was on her back, and she jumped into the air before swinging it downwards at Erza.
"No, wait! Taurus, don't!" Leo yelled, but it was already too late as a sword appeared in Erza's hand before she swung it, cutting straight through the shaft of Taurus' axe, and slashing through her stomach.
As Taurus then landed on the ground behind Erza, who glared at Leo.
"Erza Scarlet of Fairy Tail. I don't know why you're here, but it seems I'll have to take you down to continue." Leo said before a pair of swords suddenly appeared in her hands.
'Re-quip?!' Erza thought in surprised, not having expected a ninja to know magic.
Arena, lookout tower
Hiruzen threw off his Kage robes to reveal that he was wearing his shinobi gear underneath.
"You anticipated your own last moments, eh…? Heh heh heh… How I've wished to fight you again…" Orochimaru said before throwing off the rest of his disguise.
"It looks like this barrier can only be taken down from the inside…" One of the ANBU outside the barrier said.
"Although if Hokage-sama can take out even one of those four, we can probably go in to save him." The ANBU captain said as he looked towards one of the Oto-nin.
"Hey, they're about to start." One of the Oto-nin – a man with six arms – said.
"Time to erect the inner barrier as well." Another none of the Oto-nin – a man with a second head coming out from the back of his neck – said.
"Exactly." The third one – a rather chubby man – said.
The four of them then erected barriers behind their backs.
"Hmph… It doesn't look easy to escape from…" Hiruzen noted.
"Of course not. Besides, you wouldn't want anyone to interfere and get in the way, would you?" Orochimaru said.
They both then charged up their chakra, causing the roof-tiles to crack before Hiruzen threw a shuriken before weaving a series of hand signs as Orochimaru also went through a hand sign sequence.
"Shuriken Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!" Hiruzen said and the shuriken multiplied countless times.
"Kuchiyose: Edotensei!" Orochimaru said before summoning a coffin up from the roof.
'He's using them as a shield…! Could he really be raising those spirits…?' Hiruzen thought as he continued weaving hand signs as another coffin came up 'Ugh… I must prevent him from raising the third, no matter what…' More shuriken then appeared as they all hit the coffins, and the third was seemingly stopped by Hiruzen's attack.
'He managed to block the third… ah, well, no matter.' Orochimaru thought as the coffins opened.
'I may have somehow stopped the third… but even so, this is still going to be difficult… I can't believe he would summon those two, of all people…!' Hiruzen thought.
Konoha, Naruto and Sasuke
"Hey, you guys, wait up, will you?" Naruto and Sasuke looked over their shoulders to see Shikamaru coming after them as they were jumping across the roof-tops.
"Shikamaru? What are you doing here?" Naruto asked as Shikamaru caught up with them.
"It's a huge drag, but Neji told me to come with you guys." Shikamaru said before looking ahead and asking "So do you know where Gaara and the others headed?"
"Not a clue." Naruto said.
"All we know is that they headed towards the center of the village." Sasuke said.
"And none of you have any sensory abilities?" Shikamaru asked.
"Not really." Sasuke said.
"That's not entirely true…" Naruto said, catching the other Genin's attention "Farore-chan taught me this ability of hers in which I can sense movements through the wind."
"And you're saying this now?" Sasuke asked.
"I'm not all that great with it, though. At best I can only sense about ten miles ahead of us, and that's when I'm only focusing on the area in front of us and using Farore's Wind which consumes a lot of chakra." Naruto said.
"Can you sense the Suna-nin?" Shikamaru asked.
"Yeah, barely. And it's only because Gaara's got so much chakra." Naruto said.
What none of the Genin realized, however, was that five of Ganondorf's bodyguards were watching them from a distance. The five of them were the Fishes; Pisces, the Ram; Aries, the Maiden; Virgo, the Scales, Libra, and the Centaur, Sagittarius.
Konoha, Ray and Terra
Ray and Terra were running through the streets until Ray sensed something before stopping.
"What is it, Ray-san?" Terra asked as he stopped as well.
"Someone is following us." Ray said before looking over his shoulders "Show yourself, Hyuga."
Terra then turned around as Neji walked out from an alleyway, his Byakugan activated.
"Ray-san, I'll take care of him, you go on ahead." Terra said.
"Very well." Ray said before continuing running.
"Tell me, what are you two up to? And why are Suna, Oto, and Tani attacking our village?" Neji asked as he got into the Juken stance.
"For the first question; that's our business to know. As for the second question; I'm not exactly sure myself. No one ever cared to explain it to me, but it was something about "finally destroying Konoha"." Terra said.
"I see… In that case, I will have to stop you." Neji said.
"Then come!" Terra said before they charged at each other.
Konoha, Vaati
Vaati was standing on the roof of Ichiraku Ramen as he was surrounded by Konoha Chunin and Jonin. The Konoha ninja then leapt towards him at the same time, but with a mere arm movement, a fierce wind blew through the area and sent all of the Konoha-nin flying away.
"I see that you haven't been slacking off, Vaati." Vaati looked towards the voice to see Kaiza standing atop the roof of a taller building.
"Kaiza…" Vaati said before fully turning towards Kaiza "I was wondering how long it would take you to get here."
"You knew I would be coming?" Kaiza asked.
"Out of all of the Tani-nin, I am by far the most dangerous – even more so than Luna. As a former Tani-nin yourself, you'd be the only one to know that." Vaati said.
"You've got a point there." Kaiza said before he was enshrouded in darkness "Now, let's fight!"
Konoha, arena grounds
Farore and the others ran out of the arena before stopping as Farore looked at Navi.
"Navi, find Tatl and Tael." She said.
"Roger, Farore-sama!" Navi said as she gave a salute before flying away and Farore looked back at Kiba, Hinata, and the two animals.
"You four, follow me to my apartment." She said.
"You live in an apartment?" Kiba asked.
"Something wrong with that?" Farore asked.
"Umm… well, no. It's just that since you're a Goddess, I more expected you to live in a palace or something." Kiba said as he backed off.
"I do. The apartment's more of a second home so I can be closer to Naruto-kun." Farore said before noticing that the two Hylians were slightly averting their gazes "Is… there a problem?"
"Umm… No, it's just that…" Kiba started.
"Yes?" Farore inquired.
"If you're a Goddess, then why did you ask us for help?" Kiba asked.
"Look, I may be a Goddess, but I can't do everything. I have to contact my sisters, and while I'm doing that, I'll be temporarily leaving my physical body, so I will need someone to defend my physical body." Farore said.
"Why do you have to leave your physical body?" Hinata asked.
"Do you have any idea how long it would take me for actually go to the God Realm? Even at my fastest, it would take me five hours, and it would take me yet another hour to reach the palace." Farore said.
"While I don't mind, I still don't see why we've got to defend you. Aren't Gods immortal?" Kiba asked, causing Farore to face-palm.
"A common misconception amongst mortals." Farore mumbled before speaking up "Gods aren't immortal, we have only never-ending life-spans. We can still be killed." She then turned around "Now, let's get going."
Kiba, Hinata, Akamaru, and Dimitri then nodded before the five of them ran towards the village at speeds that only a ninja could possess.
Konoha, Naruto, Sasuke, and Shikamaru
As the three Konoha ninja ran across the roof-tops, Naruto suddenly jerked his head up before looking over his shoulder.
"What is it, Naruto?" Sasuke asked.
"There're five guys behind us." Naruto said.
"Friend or foe?" Sasuke asked.
"No idea, but they're closing in, and judging by their chakra reserves, they've got to at least be Jonin-level." Naruto said.
"You've got to be joking." Shikamaru said.
"We need to ambush them, then their strength won't matter." Sasuke said.
"Yeah, an ambush wouldn't be a bad idea, but we'd end up losing sight of Gaara. Besides, our "friends" were likely assembled specifically for this plot, while our group is composed of… a fool… an emo… and the number one slacker, me. You see, battle strategy comes from comprehending your own existing fighting strength and formulating the best possible plan based on that. And so, what's within the realm of possibility for us right now is just one thing…" Shikamaru said.
"A decoy…" Sasuke said.
"That's right, one of us will need to stay behind to delay them. If that person can detain them, the enemy will lose track of the other two and we'll be able to shake the pursuit. However, the one who gets to be the decoy will most likely… die." Shikamaru said and after some silence, he asked "So… any volunteers? We need Naruto in order to reach find Gaara's team, which means…"
"I'll do it…" Sasuke said.
"No, I'm the only choice…" Shikamaru said.
"Why you?" Naruto asked.
"It's better than all of us going down together. Besides, the only one of us who has any chance of pulling off the decoy act and even possibly surviving… is me." Shikamaru said as he stopped on a roof while Naruto and Sasuke also stopped.
"The Kagemane no Jutsu is fundamentally a detainment Jutsu, anyways… Well. I'll catch up with you later, so hurry up and go." Shikamaru continued.
'Shikamaru…' Naruto thought before saying "We're counting on you!" He and Sasuke then continued on ahead as Shikamaru went to delay the pursuers.
Shortly afterwards, Shikamaru was sitting by a wall before Pisces, Aries, Virgo, and Libra landed in front of him, however, just then, the four of them found that they couldn't move as the Kagemane took hold of them before Shikamaru rose to his feet.
"What the…? He's still just a kid. I can't believe we fell for such a simple trick…" Pisces said.
"So this is Konoha's famed Kagemane no Jutsu, huh…?" Virgo said.
'Kuso… It was foolish of me to engage them like this… I've used up too much of my chakra, I'm not going to last much longer…' Shikamaru thought before looking over the ones in front of him and thinking 'Just as I thought, the fifth shinobi's role is aiding and defending the other four from a hidden position… Staying a fixed distance away, moving from the rear, matching the enemy's assaults…' He then pulled out four shuriken while thinking 'Well, in any case… let's see where you're hiding. This should clarify things.'
He then threw the shuriken towards the four before an arrow suddenly came and knocked out all of the star-shaped projectiles.
'Over there!' Shikamaru thought before moving his shadow towards the fifth one, but it couldn't reach 'Kuso… I can't make my shadow move any faster, which means I have no energy left to divert to my chakra…'
"It's useless… We know how your Jutsu works." Pisces said.
'… So this is it, huh…?' Shikamaru thought.
"It seems you've reached your limit. Your Kagemane will fail soon… so prepare yourself." Pisces said.
"Like you're saying… it seems I'm at the end of my rope…" Shikamaru said before his shadow retracted back to him.
"Hey… it's about time for you to come out, Sagittarius. And take this kid's head while you're at it." Pisces said before Asuma suddenly appeared in a shunshin behind Shikamaru, holding an unconscious Sagittarius under his arm.
"Finally caught up with you…" Asuma said.
"… Asuma… What're you…?" Shikamaru said as he looked over his shoulders.
Asuma then threw Sagittarius away before knocking out Aries, Virgo, and Libra, however, Pisces jumped back before weaving a series of hand signs as four clones of her appeared before the five of them charged at Asuma as one. But Asuma easily took down all five of them before looking over his shoulder at Shikamaru, who had fallen down on his rear.
'Nice work, Shikamaru… But now you need to step back and take a break…' The Jonin thought.
Konoha, Onox
"Katon: Ryuka no Jutsu!" Several Konoha Chunin said as they fired balls of heated oxygen at Onox, but the Tani-nin was completely unaffected by it.
"Kh… What's with this guy? None of our attacks are working." One of the Chunin said before someone suddenly appeared before them in a shunshin, holding a large sword at the ready towards Onox.
"You should get out of here, only a swordsman can beat him." The man, Momochi Zabuza said.
"Y-you're…!" One of the Konoha-nin said.
"GO!" Zabuza commanded.
"R-right…" The Konoha-nin said before he – along with all the other Konoha-nin – ran off.
"Onox, the General of Darkness. Your time has come." Zabuza said as he looked at Onox and held his sword towards him.
"Bwahahaha! If you know who I am, then you're foolish to try and stand in my way." Onox said before swinging around his ball-and-chain before launching the ball at Zabuza.
Zabuza managed to deflect the ball by slapping it aside with his sword before charging at Onox and swinging his sword downwards, but the General of Darkness blocked it with the chain.
"Looks like you're better than I thought." Onox said.
Konoha, Veran
Veran was standing atop a tall building, looking out over the village.
"On this day, Konoha will finally fall before the might of Tani. Can you see all the numerous Konoha-nin fighting futilely against our forces. A beautiful sight, isn't it, Syrup?" Veran said as Syrup was standing behind her.
"Veran, it's been a long time." Syrup said before adding "50 years, to be exact."
"Hahahahahahaha! A battle between two of the Five Grand Witches, this should be a fight to remember!" Veran said as she was enshrouded in dark magic before she held out her right hand as a purple-red glyph appeared on the roof underneath her and she sent a wave of darkness towards Syrup.
Syrup jumped out of the way before holding out her hands as a purple glyph appeared before her hands before a purple beam of energy shot towards Veran, but the Shadow Sorceress simply blocked it with her left palm.
Konoha, Kakashi vs Agahnim
Kakashi skidded backwards before he was hit by a blast of magic and sent flying back, but he quickly managed to regain his balance in mid-air and landed on the ground.
"See? You can't beat me, Kakashi. You should've never sent your friend ahead." Agahnim said.
"I have yet to try my best Jutsu." Kakashi said before weaving a series of hand signs before lightning gathered in his right hand. He then charged at Agahnim as he jabbed his hand forward "Raikiri!"
As he hit Agahnim, however, his hand was blocked by the Tani-nin's robes as he felt as though electrical charges coursed through his body, and also found that he couldn't move as though he was paralyzed.
Agahnim then cupped his hands in front of himself as lightning started coursing in-between them as he prepared one of his stronger spells. However, just as he was about to launch it, someone came down and somehow blocked it.
"Nani?!" Agahnim exclaimed.
"Hiashi-sama?" Kakashi said in surprise.
"Kakashi-san, leave this one to me. You're needed elsewhere." Hiashi said.
"Very well." Kakashi said before running off.
"You really expect to be able to beat me, Hyuga?" Agahnim asked before jumping back and firing a blast of magic, however, Hiashi simply just swiped his hand through it, dispelling it.
"Yes." He said simply.
Konoha, Naruto and Sasuke
Naruto and Sasuke stopped running on the roof of a building as Kankuro was standing with his still bandaged puppet ready on the roof opposite to them.
"Sorry, but this is as far as you'll go." Kankuro said.
"Kuso… We don't have time for this." Naruto said.
"Naruto, you're the only one of us that can track down Gaara. Continue on after him, I'll take care of this guy." Sasuke said.
"No…! I will be his opponent." They all looked towards where the voice came from to see Shino standing there.
"You're…" Kankuro started.
"Shino… What are you doing here?" Sasuke asked before Shino pointed at him and Naruto.
"Before you left the arena, I had my beetles mark you with a female scent. Even though it is almost odorless, the male of the same species can still detect it…" Shino said as both Naruto and Sasuke noticed the tiny critters crawling on their clothes before Shino continued "Uchiha Sasuke, Uzumaki Naruto… Chase after Gaara… I'll fight this one…"
"You sure about this?" Naruto asked.
"I don't need your concern… Give me 10 minutes, and I'll come help you." Shino said.
"Okay. Just make sure to catch up." Naruto said.
"I will." Shino said as the two members of team 7 shunshined further ahead.
"You're all ignorant fools. You all… have no clue what true terror is… eh…" Kankuro said.
"And you… You're going to teach me what that terror is?" Shino asked as he held out his arms.
"Nah… If you take me down and chase after them, you'll find out whether you want to or not… That's if you can take me down." Kankuro said before slamming his hands together "Kugutsu no Jutsu!" His puppet then came out of the bandages as Shino's insects came out of his skin and clothes as they gathered in swarms around his hands.
"I am a member of Konoha's Aburame clan… When we fight – no matter how puny a bug our opponent is – we don't mock them… we face them full strength." Shino said.
"Heh… Then come on!" Kankuro said.
Konoha, Naruto and Sasuke
Naruto and Sasuke continued jumping across the roof-tops as they closed in on Gaara and Temari, but just then a beam of fire came down on them, giving them just enough warning to dodge in opposite directions.
"What was that?" Naruto asked before he and Sasuke looked up towards where the beam of fire had come from to see Koume and Kotake on their brooms.
"Keekeekeekee! Looks like you missed, Koume." Kotake said.
"Kakakaka! You're right, but it wouldn't be any fun if I had hit, Kotake." Koume said.
"What the…? Who're those two grannies?" Naruto asked.
"Naruto, I'll take care of these two." Sasuke said.
"No, forget it." Naruto said as Sasuke looked at him before he added "These two… despite their looks, I can sense that their very powerful. And there's also something else…"
"Something else?" Sasuke asked.
"I can feel a dark power coming from them… like a bottomless pit. I felt something similar with Ganondorf, but this is even deeper. There's no way you'd be able to win against them on your own." Naruto said.
"You can't beat them either, kid." Kurama said.
'Yeah, but at least I can be of some help.' Naruto thought before closing his eyes, and when he opened them again, they were red and slitted. His whisker marks had also gotten thicker, his canines had grown into fangs, and his nails had grown into claws.
"I suggest we go all-out from the get-go." Naruto then said as he was enshrouded in his three-tailed cloak.
"Very well." Sasuke said before activating both his Mangekyo Sharingan and his curse mark and the Susano'o ribs appeared around him.
They then leapt up at the witches, but said witches dodged them in opposite directions as Koume sent a blast of fire towards Sasuke, hitting the Susano'o rib, causing it to melt slightly.
'Nani?! It's melting the Susano'o?' The Uchiha thought before he and Naruto landed back on the roof.
Naruto then thrusted his arm forward, causing the chakra arm to extend in order to reach Kotake, but said witch simply sent a blast of ice at the arm, freezing about half of it to ice.
'Nani?! She can freeze chakra?' Naruto thought in surprise before the ice suddenly exploded outwards as the chakra arm reformed, but then everyone's eyes widened as the ice shot towards Koume, who blocked it with a shield of flames.
"Kotake, what are you doing?" She asked as she looked at her sister.
"It wasn't me, someone else must've used my ice for a technique." Kotake said.
'This Jutsu, it's…!' Sasuke thought before he and Naruto looked towards the roof of a taller building to see Haku standing there.
"Haku?" Naruto said in surprise.
"Naruto, you continue onwards. Me and Sasuke can take care of this." Haku said.
"No way, I'm staying here!" Naruto said.
"Gaara is a Jinchuriki, meaning that he's definitely one of the enemy's greatest cards, you have to go and stop him." Haku said.
"But…" Naruto started.
"Naruto, only a Jinchuriki can understand another; you are the only one who can beat Gaara." Haku said.
'Jinchuriki?' Sasuke thought.
"Kh… All right. Just don't die, and that goes for both of you." Naruto said before jumping further as his cloak vanished, though everything else remained the same.
Soon after, he finally reached Gaara, who was standing on a roof-top, looking in the direction Naruto came from. And while Naruto couldn't see Temari, he could sense that she was nearby, probably hiding to watch the clash of Jinchuriki from a distance.
"Uzumaki Naruto…" Gaara said as his arms were crossed over his chest.
"I finally caught up with you, Gaara. Dattebayo!" Naruto said.
Konoha, arena, Kage box
Ganondorf was now sitting on Hiruzen's chair as he had a table in front of him which acted like a chess board as there were several pieces on the board, each representing a different person, with some looking like five pieces put into one which represented a whole group of people.
Among them were a White King (Hiruzen), a Snake (Orochimaru), a Tiara (Sakura), a Water Jar (Aqua), a Straw (Genma), an Hourglass (Baki), a Beast (Guy), a Flame (Flare), a Pinwheel (Ventus), a Caged Bird (Neji), a Rock (Terra), a Lightning bolt (Ray), a Dog (Kiba), a Small Yin-Yang Symbol (Hinata), a Shogi Piece (Shikamaru), the Kanji for Fire (Asuma), a Fairy Knight (Erza), a Lion (Leo), a Mask (Kakashi), an Eye-Patch (Obito), a Trunk (Nawaki), a Hitai-ate (Tekashi), a Big Yin-Yang Symbol (Hiashi), a Wizard (Agahnim), a Dragon (Kaiza), a Red Cap (Vaati), a Large Sword (Zabuza), a Ball-&-Chain Knight (Onox), a Witch (Syrup), a Spider (Veran), a Kikaichu Beetle (Shino), a Puppet (Kankuro), an Uchiha Fan (Sasuke), a Senbon (Haku), a pair of Brooms over-lapping eachother (Koume and Kotake), a Fan (Temari), a Fox (Naruto), a Raccoon (Gaara), a Toad (Jiraiya), a Light Bulb (Luna), a Green Triangle with Farore's symbol on it in a slightly darker shade of green (Farore), and a Black King (Ganondorf).
"And so all the pieces are in place." Ganondorf said.

Bio: Having been born into the Main Branch of the Hyuga clan, Hinata was the first-born of Hyuga Hiashi, and therefore was expected to become the next head of the clan. However, she was rather weak even compared to her younger sister, and therefore was thrown aside for her sister. At a young age, Hinata was beaten by a bunch of bullies, but was "saved" by Naruto. Despite the boy's failed attempt to save her, however, she still grew a crush on him for his valiant efforts.
Kurama no Kyubi: Now the stages of almost all of the battles during the invasion has been set, so next chapter you will get some exciting fights. And someone is going to die.
