A/N: Hi! After a year or so. I am back with this story! Wee! I had new ideas come up as I can't get the chapters I had finished for this story so please bear with me. :) . It's our semester break now. So I now have time to write. Though I can't promise I can't regularly update i will try my best. :)

Disclaimer: I do not own Prince of Tennis or any of it's characters. It is owned by its author Takeshi Konomi. Hope you'll enjoy this chapter and is worth the long wait. :)

Ryoma stared awkwardly at Momo as hers and Yuushi's hands were still intertwined. Momo stared back with his eyes wide open.

"This isn't what it looks like" Ryoma defended causing Yuushi to silently laugh at the female regular.

"What does it look like Ryoma?" Yuushi asked causing her to frown.

"I can't believe it, Echizen. You and Oshitari-san?" Momo tried to contain his laughter at the expense of his friend but failed miserably earning him a glare from Ryoma.

"It isn't what it looks like!" She shouted more loudly trying to get her hands away from the now smirking Yuushi.

"Well, I better go. I'm sorry I interrupted you date." Momo walked away laughing he couldn't wait to tell the others.

"Momo-senpai! Wait!" She shouted and heard a hearty laugh from Yuushi.

'You! He know thinks we're dating or something!" She shouted with heart and passion.

"Well, we are going to get married, Ryo-chan" He prolonged the chan just to annoy her.

"Hmmph! I can't believe you would do that! You now owe me a free movie and another burger or two." She looked at him still frowning.

My… my… her frowning face is cute. No! Wait! Stop that! Atobe, you FRIEND used to date her. Stop it! He thought to himself while Ryoma continued on glaring at him as she got away from his grip. Yuushi still was lost in thought debating whether or not he can think she's cute.

"Yuushi! Yuushi! Oshitari!"

"Wait. Yes?" He finally came back to earth.

"I said you owe me a movie and more burgers"

"I thought we weren't dating. Are you asking me on a date?" He smirked if he thought she was cute or not he'll decide that in another time. Teasing Echizen Ryoma was just too much fun.

"Not a date. You owe me for doing that thing in front of Momo-senpai" She huffed and crossed her arms.

"Heh. Fine. But I'll pick the movie." He smirked, he was going to have fun with this.

"Why did you choose a romance kind of movie, I hate this kind thing."

"Well, I like it and I told you I was going to choose." Ryoma pouted and glared at him. This was going to be torture for her since she vomited at things like Chick-flicks.

The movie started and Ryoma found herself getting drowsy. While Yuushi thoroughly paid attention throughout the entire thing. Finally Ryoma drifted into sleep into Yuushi's shoulders while the latter looked at her and smiled.

She really is cute. But I can't like you that way. You're his ex. His my Best Friend.

Ryoma shivered and Yuushi saw that she was cold. Taking of his coat he draped it on her and himself and they shared silence, a comfortable soothing silence that led him to smile. He let his head rest on top of hers as he watched and she slept. He felt comfortable and warm beside her. But thought he felt a sudden happiness run through his heart. He felt guilty. He was there almost cuddling with his best friend's love.

I'm only doing to this because she's a girl and she needed it. I can't like you more than I should. I can't betray him.

Ryoma shifted and her left hand was now draped on top of his chest and moved closer to him. Yuushi stilled and tried very hard not to wake her up. Seeing her face he felt it again, the warmth. That warmth that he felt whenever he was near her. As he watched her, he felt the sleepiness too and soon after fell asleep.

Yuushi was awoken with a shake. He opened his eyes to see the ushers trying to wake him up.

"Uhmm.. Sir the movie is already finished." She politely told him.

"Oh. Okay. I'm sorry." He looked at the still sleeping Ryoma and tried to wake her.

"Ryoma, let's go. It's already over. But she didn't respond. After a few tries and still no luck he carried her princess style and walked back to his car. Ryoma woke up with the sound of his voice calling her.

"Ryoma.. Ryoma… We're already at your house." Yuushi called. She opened her eyes to see his piercing back at her golden ones.

"Uhh.. Okay. How did we get home?" She answered sleepily. Yuushi laughed and patted her on the head.

"You fell asleep and I couldn't wake you so I carried you to the car." He explained and she nodded.

"Okay. Thank you."

She stepped out of the car with him walking her to the door.

"Thank you. Though it got weird. I think I had fun." She smirked which earned a chuckle from the genius.

"I had fun too. You were a great date." He smiled at her and she returned it. Echizen Ryoma actually smiled at him.

"Well, Goodbye." She opened the door and walked inside. As the door closed Yuushi stared at it. He felt the warmth leave him when she said goodbye. It hurt when she said it. Though he shouldn't have felt that way. Ryoma saying goodbye to him was more painful than he could have imagined.

Is this it? Do I like her that way? He thought to himself. He grabbed his chest and felt the pain when he thought about her saying that again. Collecting his thoughts he had one last look at the door and made his way home.

Gakuto liked his teammates. They were his friends. The people he had been with for his time here at school. But something was off about Yuushi today. He was the same when he played. The techniques were the same but his feelings for him were different. Like he didn't have the heart for it at all. Atobe wasn't help either in solving the mystery. He simply brushed it off as Yuushi being weird.

Gakuto came over to where his partner was. Yuushi looked disgruntled and worried. They were together long enough to tell he had a problem.

"Yuushi." He called out. The said man looked at him, forcing a smile on his face.

"Yes, Gakuto?" He smiled but Gakuto knows it's not genuine. He just looked at him, at the partner he had in the club, with a frown on his face.

"What wrong?" Asked Yuushi. Gakuto stared until he talked still frowning.

"What's wrong with you? Why are you so detached?" He asked earning a raised eyebrow from Yuushi.

"I'm not detached. I just don't feel well today."

You're lying. Thought Gakuto.

"Is it about Echizen?" He asked. Yuushi stayed silent for a while before shaking his head.

"It is about Echizen!" He shouted why couldn't he just tell him.

"Don't shout!." Yuushi hissed back.

"I will shout until you tell what's up!" He retorted. Yuushi sighed and signalled him to go to the clubroom.

They go into the clubroom and locked the door. Yuushi turned his back in his friend as he began to talk.

"I do have a problem." He stated his voice rather soft.

"Well, tell me. Maybe I can help." Mukahi reasoned out.

"You can't" Yuushi told him earning a glare from Gakuto.

"Why not? Is it that big of a problem for you not to tell me and letting you believe I can't help?" He suddenly raised his voice. He hated things like this. But if he didn't do this then Yuushi won't open up.

"Because you're not the one in love with your best friend's ex-girlfriend! Yuushi shouted turning around to face his friend. But regretted it when Gakuto was taken aback by his declaration.

"Wait. Wait. Wait. You love her?" He asked dumbly.

"I don't know. I think I do."

"You think? You think? Well, let me ask you. When you see her what do you feel?" He asked. His face serious and strangely calm.

"Warmth. I felt hurt when she bid me goodbye even if we can see each other again." Yuushi explained.

"Then you love her, don't you?" Gakuto went closer and patted him on the shoulder.

"But I can't." Yuushi stubbornly told him.

"Why not?" Honestly he was getting irritated at his doubled partner and friend.

"Because she's Atobe's ex and I think he still loves her." He explained calmy. Earning him a light smack on the forehead,

"So what? If you love go for it. If Atobe is really you're friend he'll understand. If he gets mad then. He doesn't have the capacity of being a good friend. I'm sure it will somehow hurt him. But if a girl can destroy your friendship that easily then you weren't friends at all." He explained.

"You think I should go for her?" Yuushi asked looking down at his smiling friend.

"Yes, and I'm always here for you." He smiled more brightly at him.

"Honesty, Gakuto you can be smart and sensitive when you want too." Yuushi smiled at his friend.

"Shut up. Come on, let's go back to practice."
