I apologize for the late chapter, but for the chapters with Yukio and the others I have to look back through the manga for little details, and that takes time that I don't have because of school. Rin's chapters are going to be much faster because it comes straight from my brain.

I apologize once again for the late update, but please enjoy the story!

"So this is where you guys grew up," Izumo stated, looking at temple. It was in pretty good condition for having been burned down just over a decade ago.

"It's amazing," Sheimi breathed out, looking at the hotel portion of the building.

Bon snorted. "What's so amazing about it? It's normal," grumbling, he walked over to the door and threw it open. "WE'RE BACK!"

Several people looked up from what they were doing, and upon seeing two youngsters that they had helped raise since birth, a large clamor rose as everyone came over to greet them.

"You guys are back!" one called as he carried a guest's baggage.

"Welcome home!" another called before looking over his shoulder and calling "OKAMI-SAN, BON HAS RETURNED!"

Yukio and the girls looked confused, while Bon's face paled and Shima and his brothers grinned in anticipation at what was about to happen. From the wing on the left of the hotel, a woman wearing the kimono of a hostess entered the fray. Upon seeing the group, she zeroed her gaze to one in particular "Ryuuji...you...you...WENT AND DYED YOUR HAIR!? DO YOU WANT TO BECOME A CHICKEN NEXT OR SOMETHING!?"

Shima and his brothers were trying hard to not laugh at the scene in front of him as Bon tried uselessly to argue with his mother that his hair was part of his determination of becoming an Exorcist. It was a scene they had all seen much of over their childhood, though the subject of the argument had changed many times.

"Uhm...excuse me, but..." Yukio interrupted the squabbling parent and child duo, having done it many times with his brother and dad in the past. "But there is a reason why we came here."

"Aah," Shima's father replied. "Suguro-san, where is the head priest?"

Bon's mother shook her head, indicating she did not know where her husband was at the moment. "I don't know, but why do you need him?"

Yaozo cut a glare to his rose haired son, who flinched under the stare. "These idiots want to use the old nail for some hair brained idea involving Kurikara,"

There was now a noticeable tension in the air at the mention of the demon blade. After all, it had been over a decade and a half since the then-empty sword had been in their possession. And now to hear about it again after so long...but what did the nails have to do with it?

Kinzou did not realize he spoke the last line out loud until Yukio slid open his brothers' sword several inches, revealing a deep crack in the steel.

"This sword currently belongs to by older brother, Okumura Rin," Yukio explained as the adults who remembered Kurikara stared aghast at the damaged blade. "Recently while he was fighting, the blade was overloaded and is no longer able to properly store his power. We were told by the current Yoshikuni that she would fix it, but needed jewel steel which can no longer be produced."

"We can however," Izumo continued, letting Yukio take a break from all the talking. "Use already made jewel steel to re-forge the sword."

"And you have reason to believe the nails are made of this type of steel," Juuzou said slowly, thinking that the nails would have to be special to survive Satan's blaze.

"Yes, so if we may please have the nails..." Sheimi asked, bowing over at the waist. The others soon followed her example, which stunned the parents of Shima and Bon.

It was quiet for a while in the entrance way to the hotel. For the students of True Cross, the fear that they wouldn't be allowed the nails was very real, and it churned unpleasantly in their stomachs.

"...we would have to ask the Most High Priest, but I think he'll let you have them," Mrs. Suguro said after what felt like an eternity.

"Of course I'll let them have the nails!" happily shouted a stout, red-face man in gold and purple priest robes. In one hand he held a long white box, and the other a bag containing two small watermelons.

"Pops!" Bon shouted.

"Most High Priest!" yelled the other residents in the room in surprise for seeing their spiritual leader pop out of no where.

"Wait a second, Most High Priest-sama," protested a young woman with long white hair and serpentine eyes. "You are not seriously considering giving a temple treasure to these strangers!"

"Mamushi!" Kinzou seethed, slamming the but of his staff against the floor at the sight of their childhood playmate.

"Hush boy," Yaozou scolded his second oldest for interrupting a conversation he had no direct part in.

"Mamushi-chan, are you calling Ryuji and Renzou strangers here?" inquired Bon's father, and he could tell that the young woman had no strong enough comeback. "If not then I shall give them the nails,"

The old priest walked directly over to Yukio, a grin slathered across his flushed features. He held the nails a little out in front of his stomach for the younger Okumura twin to take. "And besides, the son of Fujimoto is most certainly not a stranger here."

Yukio's eyes widened at the mention of his Dad's name on the lips of a stranger. Not to mention a stranger whose smile now looked more mysterious rather then cheerful. Before the young exorcist doctor could stutter out any sort of question, the old priest was walking back the way he came, a fuming Mamushi (who was on the side arguing with the two older Shima boys) following behind him.

But before he managed to get out of sight, the head priest turned and called out "You all can stay the night if you want!" then turned the corner and was out of sight.

"...what do we do now?" asked a bewildered Izumo, not quite sure what had just happened.

"We should deliver the sword and nails to Yoshikuni-san so that she can fix it while we're here for the night," said Bon, since their teacher looked a bit out of it by something his father had said.

"Yeah...that sounds good," Yukio agreed, shifting his glasses higher up his nose and resolving to know the relation his father had to Bon's.
