Oh yeah baby! I finished this chapter! Aaaaaaand I have an exam tomorrow...I should really be studying but hey, I think I'll do that in a few moments...HA. HAHAHAHA.
Rena stared at her sister, unable to believe what she was asking of her. "Wait, so you're telling me you want me to find out how all of the women in our family line on our mother's side died; the cause of death?" Rena asked. "I'm asking you to find out how they were murdered-I already know our mothers cause of death, and don't tell me it was just an accident because it wasn't." Sakura corrected. Rena raised an eyebrow, not sure if she should do what her sister was asking of her. "Also, please don't tell any of the others…" Sakura added. Rena sighed in defeat, unable to say no to her older sister. "It's going to take a while, and you owe me a dress for this." Rena smirked. "Thanks Rena, I appreciate this." Sakura smiled. Rena blinked a few times, noticing how much her sister had changed since they last saw each other-somehow it almost made her feel sad. "What's wrong?" Sakura asked. "Nothing, it's just I couldn't help but notice how much you've changed; I remember you used to be so happy, but now you're so much more serious than you used to be." Rena admitted. Sakura smiled, glancing down at her cup of iced tea. "A lot's happened-I don't want anyone else to get hurt because of me."
"If someone offered you help, would you allow them to help you?" Syaoron enquired; Sakura blinked in surprise at his sudden seriousness compared to the nice spastic she met three quarters of an hour ago.
"Not if it meant putting them in dan-
"Isn't that a little selfish?"
"Syaoron!" Rena hissed.
"Aren't you just trying to shield yourself from what's to come or how people will react?" he continued to question Sakura.
"Am I really being selfish if all I want to do is protect the people I care about?" she whispered, her voice trembling as she fought to hold back her tears.
"You can't deal with a serial killer all on your own. Believe it or not, just by asking Rena to find certain records already involves her. My brother is in as much danger as you, maybe even more. Yuui, Fai, Freya and Chii are involved and you can't do anything to stop it now." His words hurt, but Sakura couldn't deny the truth. "Looks like you're right; but that won't stop me from wanting to keep everyone safe. Truth is, I still can't look at him without coming close to having a fit." She emptied her glass and stood up, a small smile portrayed on her face as she walked past her sister and Syaoron. "I should leave now; everyone's probably worrying about me." Rena stood up and walked over to the door to open it for Sakura, worry showing in her deep blue eyes. "You be careful, kay?" Rena told her older sister. "I will." Sakura smiled before leaving her sisters' apartment.
Syaoran walked quickly through the halls of the hospital for what seemed like the thousandth time looking for Sakura. Where could she be? He asked himself, irritation beginning to take over his calm demeanour. Chii, who was also looking for Sakura, saw Syaoran and ran over to him. "I can't find her anywhere-it's like she just up and left or something!" Chii exasperated. "I know-
"Know what?"
Chii looked around Syaoran as he turned around to see who was standing there; Sakura was looking at him curiously, wondering why he had such a painful look on his face. "Oh Sakura I was so worried-where'd you go?" Syaoran asked, relief flooding over him. "Sorry, I was visiting some of the children." She lied. Syaoran's eyebrow twitched, knowing the sound of a lie when he heard one. Chii however didn't notice. "I didn't know you liked children Sakura." Chii smiled. "I used to babysit one of my friends little brother and sister when I was in high school; sure they can be pests but they're cute." Sakura smiled warmly, remembering her two younger friends from ten years ago. "Oh wow!" Chii exclaimed. "Please tell me where you're going next time-you really scared me." Syaoran chided. "Sorry…" Sakura looked down at the floor feeling guilty for not telling him where she was going, but knew that it was for the best.
Through the dark halls Satoshi's footsteps echoed. Screams from girls being kept in the cells could be heard as they endured countless amounts of pain, and all he would do was laugh as he continued to walk. "Welcome sir." He was greeted by one of his female subordinates who was dressed in a black strapless top with the outline of a pair of wings in purple on the back and a short black skirt. She wore black heels and a garter around her right thigh; her hair was tied in two neat braids with purple ribbon through them. "Ah, dear Rika; I'd like you to do me a little favour for me." Satoshi said as he entered what seemed to be an office. "What can I do for you sir?" Rika asked. Satoshi folded a piece of paper into thirds and placed it neatly into an envelope after addressing it to which it was for. "You would like me to deliver that to her?" she enquired. "That would be lovely."
As Syaoran pulled up the driveway he noticed a familiar person standing at his front door. Sakura also noticed the girl standing there, but this time she didn't feel like attacking her-she just felt a little hostile. Syaoran sighed and rolled his eyes at the sight of his once again uninvited visitor. "Great." He muttered as he got out of the car. Rika looked up from her phone and smiled as Syaoran walked over, but her smile soon faded as she saw Sakura walking up behind him. "I bet you weren't expecting me to show up on your door step." She winked at Syaoran. "More like I didn't want you to show up…" he muttered. "What was that?" she asked as if she didn't hear what he had said. "Nothing; what do you want?" Syaoran asked folding his arms over his chest. "You are so mean. Ugh, this is for her; she'll know who sent it once she opens it. I'm leaving now, happy?" Rika said. "Yes, actually. Goodbye." Syaoran said taking the envelope from Rika and unlocking the door.
Once they were inside he handed Sakura the envelope. On the front had her name written neatly in cursive with, from what she could tell, a quill. She didn't know anyone who wrote with a quill, especially in this day and age, so for her it was a mystery. She opened the envelope and screamed; attached to the letter was a rare blue winged butterfly, dead.
