Hey guys! How was everyone's thanksgiving? Mine was great I probably gained 5 pounds. I also went and seen Catching Fire again today.. I couldn't help myself I had to go see it again. Thanks so much for the reviews! I'd like to give a special thanks to my friend Morgan-Jayde for helping me with my story and just talking to me all the time! Haha. Another thanks goes to catnip851 and MissMellark16 I can always count on those two to review! As always if you have any suggestions at all let me know. I really need some suggestions on what to include in these games. Any freaky creatures, obstacles, things the undead tributes should do, any suggestions involving any of that would be great! Alright I'm done talking now. Enjoy! R&R!

We all freeze. This is it. We're dead. Johanna raised her axe and continues moving towards the mouth of the cave. I can't let her go alone. I start to move forward, Peeta grips my forearm like a vice. I turn back to look at him. His face is as hard as stone; he shakes his head no and keeps his grip on my arm. It was quiet now, maybe he left. Or he's waiting for us to come out to kill us. Johanna rushes out of the cave. It's silent.

"Johanna." I whisper.

Peeta puts his finger to my lips. A few more moments of silence pass before Johanna comes back in.

"He's gone. But he left this"

Johanna drops a bow and arrows at my feet. Peeta and I stare at it in disbelief.

"I don't understand." I say.

"Maybe he doesn't want to fight you unarmed." Johanna offers.

"Or, he wants us to trick us into thinking he's our friend." Peeta says.

I run my fingers over the bow.

"He must have killed Glimmer." Peeta says.

I shake my head.

"I didn't hear the cannon."

"Come on Katniss, you were half asleep. You wouldn't have noticed if it even went off or not." Johanna says.

That was true. Maybe I didn't notice if it went off. Peeta strokes my hair.

"I'm awake now, I'll take the next watch." He says.

"Wake me up in a few hours; Katniss is right you need extra sleep to heal." Johanna says as she lies back down.

Did Johanna just say I was right? Peeta nods and unzips the sleeping bag for me to get in. I get in with him and lay my head on his lap. He strokes my hair trying to soothe me so I fall asleep. I fight it with everything I have. I am afraid. Last time I left Peeta alone in the Quell he was taken by the capitol. They will not take him away from me again. I have to keep my eyes on him at all times. I stare up at his face fighting my sleep harder and harder by the minute. He strokes my face.

"I know you're tired. Why won't you sleep?" He whispers.

"I won't leave you ever, not in the games, not like this. I won't let the capitol take you again."

He lifts me up into a sitting position on his lap.

"Look at me." He says.

I slowly look up to meet his eyes.

"Everything will be alright. You will make it out, I'll make sure of it." He says.

"Stop." I say.

I grab his face with both my hands.

"I'm not leaving this arena without you. We're in this together. I won't leave you not again, not ever. You're my husband and we both need you."

I gently place his hands on my stomach. He leans forward and touches his forehead to mine.

"Alright. Together." He whispers before he kisses me.

The kiss keeps going until we both break apart gasping for air. We're about to kiss again when I hear the beeping noise. A sponsor, Haymitch got us a sponsor. I spring up to go outside the cave when Peeta grabs my arm.

"It's right outside the cave stay there, I'll be okay." I whisper.

Before he can convince me not too, I poke my head out of the mouth of the cave. It's dark. Completely dark. I quickly grab the metal box and scurry back into the cave. When I open it there's soup, three bottles of water, a bandage, and medicinal cream. The note on top reads.

Keep that up, you're doing great.

I quickly go to work at putting the cream on Peeta's leg and wrapping the bandage around it.

"It should be healed by morning." I say.

"Turn around; I'll get your shoulder."

I knew there was no point arguing with him. I let him take my coat off and pull my shirt down. He puts the cream on with such gentleness I know only he possesses. His touch sends shivers down my spine. That's when Johanna groans and sits straight up. Peeta and I both jump.

"I go to sleep for a couple of hours, and you're already taking her clothes off!" She yells.

I pull my coat back on quickly.

"Haymitch found us a sponsor." I say.

Johanna scans over our goodies. She takes a sip of her water.

"Go to sleep, both of you I'll wake you up in the morning." She says.

We both snuggle up in the sleeping bag together. I'm already beginning to fall asleep.

"Wake me up if you get tired." I mumble half asleep.

"Yeah right, why-"

I'm already asleep before she finishes her sentence.

Suddenly I'm being shaken awake. Peeta's looking down at me with confusion.

"What is it?" I whisper with a yawn.

"Katniss. Johanna's gone."
