Chapter 17: The Calm Before the Storm.

Kankuro was now afraid of the blonde. He thought the guy was some stronger than average happy go lucky kind of guy who probably wouldn't hurt someone too badly. But after what he saw he confirmed the boy had no qualms in killing a person if necessary. Gaara killed people in front of him all the time but it was more of a "you are caught, you are dead." kind of thing. But with Naruto he spilled the guy's guts, letting him sit there in pain before he ended it by jamming his blade through the man's heart. Also he whispered something to the boy which caused him to go balistic. Kankuro didn't want to fight Naruto, not now, not ever he would rather die to Gaara's sand than get killed by Naruto because at least Gaara's kills were probably less painful. He thinking if invading Konoha was even a good idea, if there were others like Naruto then the invasion wouldn't be a very good idea.
Temari was not expecting what she saw at all. What she though of Naruto previously was he was a cute, pretty strong guy who was really nice and really helpful but after seeing him fight she wasn't sure what to think of him. She had a little fear towards him because of the brutality in his last kill, also because during the fight she heard the Taki-nin blame Naruto for killing the girl he loved and Naruto seemed to not be affected at all with the guy's accusations. Naruto even joked about Jirou's accusation. She was afraid of Gaara because at any second he could go crazy and just kill you but she knew that if she were to cross Naruto her death would be far more painful. Gaara lived for the kill, he didn't care about making the target suffer, just a quick and simple kill. Naruto on the other hand seemed to be the type who would rip a person in half and just stare the guy in the face until he died. Temari was still physically attracted to Naruto, it would be hard not to, but if she ever ran into him during the invasion she would rather surrender than take any chances with him. He was also really fast so running wouldn't help her much.
Gaara was absolutely livid, his mother started to trash talk him and say things like "Why didn't he be my son instead of you?","Mother likes the way he spills blood.","He is a lot better at showing his existance.","He is better with the ladies than you." and barraged him with words that made Gaara absolutely furious and jealous. He would have none of it, he gave himself the mission to personally send Uzumaki Naruto to the Shingami so his mother can love him again. He would also work on getting ladies to like him after he killed Uzumaki Naruto to make his mother proud.
Toki who was the only remaining Taki-nin still in the competition vowed to avenge his friend if he ever got paired up with that Naruto kid. He saw the kid fight and it made him furious that he toyed with his friend before making him suffer before he died. He couldn't attack the kid outside of the tournament because it could cause a political shitstorm but if they meet up in the tournament then he vowed to kill Uzumaki Naruto.
With the Jonin
The Jonin-sensei of the Taki team was beyond pissed. Earlier he heard from Jirou that the same boy who ended up killed him also killed the Taki Trio. He told Jirou that the boy was probably trying to goad him and he would see the girl he likes in a while. When the Taki Trio never made it to the tower he had suspicions that the boy either watched them get killed and maybe ambushed the attackers and claimed responsibility for the kill. The boy didn't seem like he was strong enough to kill the Taki Trio alone. He obviously underestimated the boy because after what he saw in the last fight, the boy shouldn't be a genin. He wasn't sure if Konoha had planted a chunin or higher to play the role as a genin or if that boy was actually a genin. That last thought was thrown out after he realized that if Naruto had been a chunin playing as a genin he would have considerably toned himself down and not did anything like killing his opponent because it would bring him into spotlight. He knew that the 3rd round of the Chunin exams was always a tournament since it was the best way to get the Daimyos and other important people to come. He also knew they would be given a break from the second and 3rd round. He was going to train the hell out of Toki to get his revenge.
Asuma was kind of shocked to see what Naruto had just did. He knew the boy from when he helped Kakashi teach Naruto something about channeling chakra into his weapons to make them stronger and possibly increase their length. Back then and when he met the boy during certain occasions he was a very kind boy who was very friendly and seemed like the type who would go many lengths to help his friends. This Naruto that he saw in the fight was a different kind of Naruto, he was cold, calculative, and downright scary. Asuma hadn't seen that type of attitude in a kid that age since he met Uchiha Itachi one time a year before the massacre, when Itachi came as the back up to Asuma's mission gone wrong. Those traits were very good in a fight, they instill fear into the hearts of your enemy and give the person an advantage but he hoped that Naruto could still be that friendly and kind boy outside of the battlefield. He just hoped that Naruto wouldn't fight his allies and friends in the same manner.
The Team 13's sensei knew that Naruto had to do what he did. The boy that died said if he wasn't killed he would seek vengeance. They remembered what he had done in the wave, their student had taken on over 400 of Gato's men and slaughtered them. They were slaughtered a lot more brutally than the boy who died on that arena floor. They wished their student didn't have to go through that and wished that he could have just waited for Zabuza to attack again and fought him off but they knew if Naruto had waited, maybe several of the bridge workers would die. During training sessions and the C rank missions they had after the Wave mission Naruto seemed slightly different. During training sessions and when they ran into him in the village he seemed like his normal old self but during missions it was like he was a completely different person. It was a good thing and a bad thing, he was very efficient in the missions they had taken but they hoped that other side of Naruto wouldn't completely take over. They knew their student was a good person and they hoped he would stay that way.
Baki was shocked, the boy was around Gaara's age and took on a 16 year old from Taki. Apparently the boy Naruto went against was actually one of their stronger genin. Baki watch Naruto toy with the boy for a short while before executing the boy quite brutally. He knew that Naruto didn't show everything he had yet, he was holding back a lot. At the level he fought the Taki-nin Baki assumed he could already beat Kankuro, who was the best puppet user in his generation. He assumed that if Naruto went full out he could probably beat Temari. Having a genin at the same level or above Temari on the other side was worrisome. He hoped that Uzumaki Naruto wouldn't be strong enough to ruin their plans. If they failed the invasion they would be screwed, none of the other villages would trust them and they wouldn't have Konoha protecting them. He personally thought invading Konoha was one of the dumbest things they could do, but he was still a shinobi of Sunagakure so he had to obey the Kazekage's orders.
Back in the Arena
"Would all those who made it into the 3rd round of the Chunin exams come down if they are not in the hospital." said Hiruzen.
All those who made it to the next round went down the stairs and stood side by side in front of the Hokage.
"Alright, the 3rd round of this Chunin exams will be held one month from now. We will be giving you guys a whole month to train, heal, do whatever you have to do to perform at your best during the third round. Anko will be walking up to you with a box, please grab a slip of paper from the box and it will decide who you will be fighting against in the first round.
Anko walked around and every stuck their hands in the box to get a slip of paper. But as she passed Naruto he ended up with more than 1 slip of paper. The other slip of paper was a lot larger than the others so it was probably not from the box but it some how found its way into his hand. He did feel something silky/leathery wrap on his arm and put something in his hand when it was in the box. He thought he was imagining it at first but when he saw the second slip he knew it was real. He opened the larger piece of paper in curiosity.
'Go to "Dango, that was Good!" at 7:30pm.'
'Hmm, that's Ami's favorite Dango shop. I wonder who pu- I wonder what she wants.'
"Please reveal your numbers.
"2" said Naruto.
"5" said Kankuro.

When Naruto was about to leave he heard a loud "EHRRRM!" sound. He turned around and saw Ino and Ami with their hands on their hips.
"Naruto-kun where do you think you are going?" said both girls simultaneously.
"Uh...Home?"
"Nuh-uh come with us we need to talk."
They dragged Naruto away to a secure location to talk.
"Ok so what do we need to talk about?"
Ino and Ami brought their fists down on Naruto's head causing 2 lumps to form.
"NARUTO-BAKA YOU FORGOT ALREADY?"
"I'm sorry, I was just kidding. Hinata isn't here so..."
"We are going to talk 1 to 1 anyways, so she doesn't need to be here."
"Ino why don't you talk to him first and I'll talk to him at home. You better come home after your talk with Ino or I will beat you." said Ami who glared at Naruto letting him know she wasn't fucking around.
Ami left and went to buy groceries and stuff before she went to their home.
"Naruto we need to talk about the kiss."
"Ino, its no big deal. You meant to kiss Sasuke and he used the Kawarimi on accident and we kissed on accident. Just tell Sasuke that and he will probably forgive you for kissing me."

Ino and him were face to face and he closed his eyes waiting for a slap or a punch. Instead he felt her arms come around his neck and pulled him forward. He was expecting her to knee him in the face just like he did many times to other people but he was met with a soft pair of lips.
He was kind of shocked for a few seconds until he started to kiss back. They had been kissing for a minute or two before he put his hands on her waist and one hand started to get adventurous and gave her butt a squeeze. Naruto decided to take a small detour on his way to his home and visit some friends in the hospital. A few of his friends might have already been released but he was sure that Hinata would still be there.
Konoha's Ninja Hospital
Naruto walked in the hospital and ignored the glares some citizens were giving him and the glares of some of the ninja who were angry at him for the Kyuubi. He made his way to the front desk to ask about his friends.
"Hi, um which rooms are Rock Lee, Akimichi Chouji, Tenten, Haruno Sakura, Shinin, and Hyuuga Hinata in?"
"Uh, Akimichi Chouji, Tenten, and Shinin already checked out. Rock Lee is in room 373, Haruno Sakura is in room 356, and Hyuuga Hinata is in room 332."
"Thanks, Miss." said Naruto as he headed to the stairs.
Naruto climbed up to the third floor and began looking for Lee's room. He found it shortly as it was the closest to the staircase he used.
"Hey Lee, How are you doing?"
"Not to bad. The doctors said my broken arm and leg will heal in a month of 2. Then I will do 500 push ups because I lost."
"Alright, I'ma go visit the others."
"STAY YOUTHFUL NARUTO!" Lee yelled.
Nurses ran in Lee's room and gave him a tranquilizer shot so he would shut the fuck up.
Naruto found Sakura's room next and walked in.
"Hey Sakura, how are you doing?"
"I didn't take too hard of a beating, but my parents haven't came to check me out yet."
"Did you know you are an adult and you can check yourself out?"
"...I'm stupid."
"Nah, you are one of the smartest girls I know. Want to come with me to visit Hinata?"
"Sure, I don't know which room she is in though."
"Just follow me."
Naruto led her to Hinata's room. When he opened the door he noticed Hinata was still sleeping.
"I can't believe her bastard of a cousin did this to her." said Naruto.
"Yah he was actually going to kill her, Thank Kami you jumped in."
"I can't believe someone would try to hurt her, she is like the nicest thing ever." said Naruto.
"She is one of the nicest girls I know."
"She IS the nicest girl I know. I mess with her sometimes but she never hits me or anything, I couldn't imagine her hurting a fly."
"You're gunna kick that guys ass huh."
"Yep, he's my first match."
"Well, I'ma go home. My parents are probably looking for me."
"Alright later Sakura."
Naruto stayed by Hinata's side for a few more minutes before he shunshined home.
Naruto's House
Naruto used his keys to open the door and he was met with a surprisingly fragrant smell.
"Naruto-kun! I made some food for you!"
"Ami, i'ts like 4:00."
"Who cares just EAT IT!"
"Ok!"
"Now, Naruto we need to talk about us."
"I just had the same conversation with Ino earlier. Ami, we are too young and we are too early in our careers to start dating. I mean we are like 13, it would be a lot better if we started dating at like 15 or 16."
"Fine, no dating till 15 or 16 but you have to kiss me, I know you and Ino probably made out for a while since you got here so late."
"I-I er...We...Ok yah we made out. But I also visited Hinata in the hospital."
"Is she ok?"
"Yah, but she is still unconscious."

"Shut up... I asked Ino and Hinata to help me learn how to cook."
"Hmm...I wonder what you'd look like wearing an apron."
"Maybe one day I'll cook naked with only an apron." said Ami with a smirk.
Naruto blushed at the thought and a slight dribble of blood came out of his nose which was wiped immediately.
"Whatever Ami, maybe I'll become a nudist and never wear clothes at home."
That shut up Ami fast and caused to her run to her room with blood leaking from her nose. Naruto snickered as she ran.
Naruto looked at his clock in the kitchen and noticed it was 4:30.
3 Hours Later (Dango, that was good!)
Naruto arrived at "Dango, that was good!" and was looking for Anko since he assumed she was the one of slipped him the paper.
As he walked past one of the private booths an arm popped out and grabbed him by the back of his shirt and pulled him in.
"What the fuck?!" yelled Naruto before a hand covered his mouth.
"Shut the fuck up kid."
"Oh, hey Anko. What's up with the private booth?"
"Don't you know what these private booths are for?"
"Uh...no?"
"They are made so people can do"Anko moved close to Naruto"...whatever...they...want in here." Anko said while poking him in the chest every time she paused.
Anko straddled Naruto and moved her head right in front of Naruto's face and he had the funniest expression on his face. It was a mixture of confusion and fear.

"I used to come here a lot because they have really good dango but people would always harass me. Whether it be women calling me a slut or a whore or men who keep pestering me for one night stands. The owner of this restaurant was really nice and approached me one day asking if I would like to eat in the private booth when ever I came here. She said she didn't like the way other people treated me and she said I was a "nice girl whose past is plaguing her." So now I can come anytime and get a private booth."
"I'm sorry Anko, It was kind of like that for me too in most restaurants I went to except the Akimichi ones, and Ichiraku's ramen. You know, once you get past the creepy snake lady part of you, you're pretty cool. When I talk with you I feel I can tell you the things I can't tell to most people."
Anko turned away for a second while a single tear fell from both of her eyes. She wiped them away and put on a genuine smile and smiled at Naruto.
"You're pretty cool too, you listen to my problems and stuff without judging me."
"You should smile more Anko, this smile makes you a lot more pretty than your crazy snake lady smile."
Anko blushed slightly.
"Aren't you the little charmer."
They heard a knocking noise from the outside.
"Your order is ready."
"Alright just place it anywhere." Anko said.
"Wait Anko, are you friends with Neko-chan?"

"Alright."
Anko and Naruto ate their dinner talking about certain things in their past, Ninja stuff, and even a little gossip(what Kakashi looks like under his mask). After Anko paid for their meal they bid each other farewell and Anko went her way as Naruto bought some Dango to-go since he knew Ami would like some.
Next Day
Naruto woke up and decided he would start training today. He had 1 month before the finals and he wouldn't spend it sitting on his ass. He walked over to Ami's door and debated whether he should wake her up too. In the end he decided to wake her up and knocked on the door. She didn't respond so he opened the door and walked over to her bedside.

"WAKE UP!" yelled Naruto as he started to tickle her.

"I'm gunna look for Genma-sensei to start training. We have a month but we shouldn't waste the time and go train. Want to come with me to look for Aoba sensei?"
"Uh, sure. What's for breakfast?"
"I didn't make anything, what do you want?"
"Want to go eat out?"
"Sure I guess."
"Alright, now get out of my room. Well, unless you want to see me naked."
Naruto left her room and went back to his to take a shower.
After the Shower
Naruto was sitting in the living room on the couch waiting for Ami. He was just tossing a kunai up and catching it over and over again.
"Alright, where do you want to eat Naruto?"
"I heard that one Akimichi restaurant, near "Dango, that was good!" has good stuff for breakfast."
"Ok, lets go!"
Naruto and Ami headed out for the Akimichi restaurant and had a pleasant breakfast. Naruto ordered a western style breakfast which had: sunny side up eggs, hash browns, a medium rare 10oz sirloin steak, and buttermilk pancakes with butter and maple syrup. Ami also ordered a western style breakfast which was composed of: a mexican style omelette and buttermilk pancakes. After eating their breakfast they went out to hunt down their jonin sensei.
Naruto knew Aoba's favorite restaurant to eat at for breakfast was the Leaf Cafe. They both headed there to hopefully catch Aoba eating breakfast. Luckily when they got there Aoba just finished and paid his bill.
"Hey guys, what are you doing here? Going to get some food?"
"Aoba-sensei, can we start training for the final round of the chunin exams?" said Ami.
"Yah, of course Ami. As a matter of fact, Yamanaka Inoichi was actually one of my mentors when I briefly worked in T&I. He even taught me some of the Yamanaka techniques so I can help you get an edge vs his daughter."
"Aoba-sensei, do you know where Genma-sensei is?"
"Uh, he doesn't eat out much anymore now that he lives with Tsunami. Try checking his apartment, Inari is probably at school so hopefully you'll get there before they start, ya know."
"Oh god, I hope i get there before they start that too. Anyways where does he live?"
Aoba gave him the address to Genma's apartment and he and Ami went on their way to train.
Outside Genma's apartment
Naruto finally arrived outside the door to Genma's apartment. He had gotten lost looking for Genma's apartment since the street it was on was very hard to find. Naruto walked up to the door and rang the door bell and knocked on the door a few times. He waited 20 seconds to get a response and rang the doorbell and knocked on the door again. After receiving no response again Naruto got pissed off and did what most pissed off people do who wait outside the door, he pressed the doorbell repeatedly.
Inside Genma's apartment
Genma was on top of a very naked Tsunami driving his rock hard dick inside her pussy.

Genma started to move faster and faster. The doorbell rang a few times earlier and someone knocked on the door a few times but they ignored it because he was sure what they were doing was far more important.

Outside Genma's apartment
"WHAT DO YOU WANT? Oh hey Naruto, what's up?" said Genma.
"Oh, i'm sorry sensei but I wanted to get started with training since I am aiming to win this tournament."
"Ah, my bad I should have told you. Hokage-sama told me not to train your for the 3rd round since one person asked him if he could train you."
"What? That's bullshit, who was it?"
"I don't know but he told me to tell you to look for a person near the hot springs. Not in the hot springs but near it."
"Thanks, sensei. And don't forget to use protection or Inari will be having a little brother." said Naruto as he headed for the bathhouses.
"Fuck you, Naruto!"
"Eh, I guess I couldn't really blame him for interrupting me." said Genma as he went back into his apartment and ran up the stairs.
After all he had a beautiful woman waiting for him and it would be rude to keep a beautiful woman waiting.
A while later near the hot springs
Jiraiya had his trusty magnifying glass out and was checking out today's bathing babes.

Naruto heard this and saw a tall man with waist length spiky white hair in a pony tail and red lines that ran down his eyes peeping at women. The pervert wore a red haori on top of a green short skirt kimono with green pants and a mesh shirt underneath that, he also wore a horned forehead protector with the kanji of "Oil", and carried a large scroll on his back.
"Oi! Are you the one who requested to train me?"
"Keep it down brat! I am doing research."
"If I help you do research will you train me already?"
"How will you help me?"
"Instead of peeping from a distance I can get you in there with the ladies."
"Psh I have a jutsu that turns me transparent. I could get in there no problem."
"I can get you in there and let you interact with the ladies without getting kicked out."
"No way, that's impossible. Show me how you will do it and if it's legit I we will begin training."

After looking at himself Jiraya got really excited and ran off to the hot springs. Naruto let him have 30 minutes to have fun before they trained and he was going to spend it well.
30 Minutes Later
Jiraya had the time of his life in the hot spring, he was able to convince multiple women to let him wash their bodies and even had a splash war with the other ladies in the hot spring. He had gotten enough research in that day alone than he had in the past year. He almost didn't want to leave but he gave the boy his word and he was a man of his word so he left after 30 minutes to train with the boy.

"Well gaki, you are in luck because the person training you is non other than... The legendary Mt. Myoboku's Legendary Master Gama Sennin or more commonly known as the Jiraya of the Sannin, the Gama Sennin!"
"...Uh, Ok. It's hard to believe you are Jiraya of the Sannin."

"By the way thanks for helping me research."

"Anyways brat I will help you complete the Kaze no Yaiba. I actually learned it from on of my spies in Suna."
"You have spies in an allied village?"

"Alright, I'll show you what I have so far and you can help me."
Naruto showed what he had been working on since the wave.
"Hmm, you need to work on flattening the blade to make it sharper, your blade is kind of thick and could be a lot more sharper."
"How do I do that?"
"You already know some kind of shape manipulation since you were able to get this far. Try to made the sides more flat, you might need to work on your chakra control more if you can't manipulate it into a flat blade."
Naruto kept trying to flatten his blade of wind but he wasn't able to fully flatten the blade like Jiraiya wanted. After a while he decided that he would need to work on chakra control more if he wanted to get the jutsu down. He asked Jiraya to teach him some advanced chakra control exercises and after Jiraiya showed him how to do it he began to work on his chakra control.
A Few Hours Later
"Hey brat, you've been doing these exercises for a few hours now. It's starting to get dark you should go home. We will work on this more tomorrow."
"Ok, but where will we meet?"
"Look for me near the hot springs again."
Naruto went back home after a long day. When he arrived at his condo and opened the door he was greeted with a pleasant smell of food.
"Hey, you're back! I made some food for us, how was your training?"
"My teacher is helping me get this jutsu down, I worked mainly on chakra control today. How about you?"
"Aoba-sensei finally let me look at that B rank water jutsu that we got for winning a bet from the Hokage. Those B-rank ninjutsu require quite a bit of chakra so Aoba-sensei and I are working on increasing my chakra reserves."
"Oh, what is the jutsu called?"
"Suiton: Suiryūdan no Jutsu (Water dragon bullet). It is going to be my trump card since it is a higher level water jutsu."
"That's awesome Ami-chan! I'm still working on the Kaze no Yaiba that Genma-sensei got me started on in the wave."
"Oh, by the way I saw Genma earlier, who were you training with."
"Well apparently someone wanted to train me and got the Hokage's permission so right now I am training with Jiraiya of the Sannin."
"No...Way! Jiraiya of the Sannin is considered the strongest Konoha shinobi currently alive!"
"He is really strong, but he is also a massive pervert."
"Still, you are going to be so strong after training with him. I bet you'll win the whole tournament."
"I'm only going to be with him for a month, I'll improve but probably not as much as you think."
"Anyways, the food is done. Lets eat!"
Ami served the food and they ate till they were full and went to sleep.
Naruto continued to train with Jiraya for the rest of the month and learned a few techniques off of him. During his time not training he would occasionally visit Hinata in the hospital until she was released.
1 Month Later (Day of 3rd Round of the Chunin exams)
"WAKE UP!" yelled Ami at a large lump under the comforters.
When the lump refused to move she jumped on top of it and started hitting it.
"OK! OK! I'M UP!" yelled the lump.
A blonde boy wearing nothing but his boxer shorts and a white t-shirt emerged from the lump and grabbed his clothes and went into the bathroom.
"You know the 3rd round is today, why are you so hard to wake up?" Ami yelled at the bathroom door.
"Geez, you know it starts at 1pm right?"
"It's 10am! We need to warm up before our fights and yours is the first one!"
"Ugh, you're right. I'll be done soon."
Naruto took a quick cold shower to wake him up and put on his clothes. He ran out of the bathroom and down the stairs and ate a big hearty breakfast courtesy of Ami.
"Don't eat so fast, I don't want you to choke. Scratch that I do want you to choke then after you're unconscious, I'll save you then I can do what ever I want to you."
"Geez Ami, I never knew you would resort to rape." said Naruto with his mouth full of food.
"Shut up! Lets go early so we can hang out with the other guys."
"Good idea I haven't seen most of em in a month."
Naruto quickly finished up his breakfast and put his dishes in the sink.
"Alright lets go!"
Ami and Naruto made their way to the stadium where the 3rd round of the Chunin exams were being held. There were tons of people buying tickets from the ticket vendor, some famous people walking around, even some Daimyos came to watch the chunin exams. Naruto and Ami entered the door for the participants and walked up to the stairs to where all the participants were waiting. Since it was still early some of them weren't there yet. Those that were there were, Toki who was glaring at Naruto, Gaara's team, Shikamaru, Ino, Shino, and Kiba. Neji, Sasuke, and Kenji weren't there yet. Those from Konoha began to form a giant group and began socialising.
"Sup guys." said Naruto.
"Nothing much." said the majority of the Konoha nin.
After the preliminaries those who watched Naruto kill went to talk to their parents and told them what he did. Most of their parents told them that all shinobi will end up killing someone and that the shinobi world was a kill or be killed world. They also explained that most likely Naruto killed because the other person forced him to. The parents knew that other than in the 2nd round of the chunin exams killing was frowned upon and most proctors would stop a fight if someone was going to kill another person for no reason, so if one of the kids killed someone then the other person must have either forced the winner to kill or it was accidental. From the stories the parents were told it seemed like it was forced. After talking to their parents the rookie 12 began to understand why Naruto did it. They didn't like watching it but they couldn't blame him since he was forced to kill his competitor.
It had been a month since most of the competing Konoha nin had seen the other competing Konoha nin since they mostly trained by themselves or with teammates who had been eliminated. After not seeing some of their friends for a month the rookie 12 were happy they had some time to talk before the fighting started.
"Hey Naruto, did you choose one or are you playing all 3." said Kiba.
His face was met by a fist of Ami's and Ino's.
"Naruto-kun said he wants to wait till he is like 14 or 15 before we date." said Ino.
"No he's gunna date me when we are 14!" yelled Ami.
"Ok, stop!" yelled Naruto.
Both girls looked at him before they each picked a side and clinged to his arm.
Kiba who was on the ground watching the thing smirked.
"So you're playing all 3, my man the player!" said Kiba.
The two girls on Naruto's side were going to walk up to the downed Kiba and beat him harder but Naruto stopped them.
Temari was watching from a distance and was kind of jealous at how close the two girls were to Naruto. It simply wasn't fair, they all got kisses from him and she hadn't got one yet.
"I can't wait for my match, I'm going to kick Neji's ass."
"Dude, you should stomp that guy's face into the ground after what he did to Hinata. She is like a little sister to me, and I was so mad when I saw her like that." said Kiba.
"Although it would have been troublesome for me if I had to fight him, I would like to see him get his ass kicked." said Shikamaru.
Chouji who was eating chips didn't respond since talking with food in your mouth was rude and he didn't want to stop eating.
"I too would like to see Naruto get revenge for Hinata as I also look at her as my little sister." said Shino.
"Hello! Welcome to the 3rd round of Konoha's chunin exams! My name is Riichi and I will be your proctor/host/ announcer for this event."
Riichi had long brown hair in bangs similar to Sasuke's and he wore the standard Konoha Jonin outfit.
A hologram board appeared in the middle of the arena with a picture of Naruto on it.
"We will be introducing the contestants for this tournament. First we have Uzumaki Naruto, standing at 5 feet 0 inches and weighing in at 111lbs."
The hologram showed Naruto and his stats.
"Naruto's sensei actually forgot to submit his official stats but these are his stats calculated from his performance so far. His taijutsu is quite good and has a very strong defense and a strong offence, we would rank his taijutsu at a 3.5/5. He is also very proficient in using his weapon that he calls the "Sairentoburēdo".
A few clips showed Naruto fighting different people with Taijutsu and a few clips of him fighting with his blade.
A video started to play on the hologram board while Naruto's ninjutsu stats were being revealed. It was a clip of him in the forest of death fighting the Ame-nin, it showed the part when he fired a Katon: Karyu Endan at the Ame-nin.
"This is the only clip we see Naruto use ninjutsu, we assume that he is quite good at ninjutsu since he is able to pull off a B rank Katon jutsu. We would rank him at a 3.5/5."
The audience watched as the 13 year old boy fired a large dragon made out of fire out of his mouth and watched as it hit a Suiton jutsu and created steam. They also saw the steam glowing orange showing it wasn't enough to stop the dragon and the bloodcurdling scream was heard shortly after. Most audience members gasped when they heard the scream.
In the Audience
"Oh, so that was Naruto's doing too? I'm really starting to like that gaki." said Anko with a smirk.
Back in the Arena
"We have not seen him use genjutsu at all so we will void that category for him. Intelligence, Naruto hasn't shown enough strategy to have a score in this category. Strength, Naruto has shown he is quite strong. We will rank him a 3/5 in strength."
Clips of Naruto punching and kicking people really hard were shown on the Hologram board.
"Naruto has shown us he would rather have his opponent come to him than him running to his opponent which made it harder to rank his speed, but after seeing some clips where he shows a little speed it shows he is pretty fast, we ranked him 3/5 in speed."
A clip of Naruto fighting Jirou and he tried to form hand seals but Naruto dashed up to him quite quickly and kicked him.
"Through out the chunin exams we have not seen Naruto even break a sweat, whether it is because he is very good at not wasting energy or he didn't do much we decided to void this category for Naruto. His speed in handseals was only shown one time when he performed the Katon jutsu on the Ame-nin. He sped through them at an faster than average speed which netted him a 3.5/5 in hand seals. His total stats with the stats we didn't void are 16.5/25. He is a very solid ninja who seems to be the team leader of his team and has shown some talent especially in the ninjutsu and taijutsu category."
A picture of Neji was shown on the Hologram with his name next to it.
"Next we have Hyuuga Neji who will be fighting against Naruto in the first round. He is from the branch family of Konoha's prestiged Hyuuga clan. He stands at 5 feet and 3 inches and weighs in at 115lbs. He uses the standard Hyuuga Taijutsu called the gentle fist. He has been called a true genius of the gentle fist and has shown why he is a top contender in the Taijutsu category which is why we have given him a 4/5 in Taijutsu."
Clips of Neji's fights in the forest of death and his fight vs Hinata were shown.
"Since Neji has not shown any ninjutsu at all but his fighting style requires chakra and could be looked at as a form of nintaijutsu we have given him the score of 2.5/5 in ninjutsu. He has not shown us any Genjutsu techniques what so ever so we have voided that category. Neji shows us how much of a genius he is when he is able to learn techniques that only run in the main family while he is from the branch family. It is most likely that he saw it in combat and was able to replicate it without help from others. Due to his ability to do that we have given him a 4/5 in intelligence."
A clip of Neji doing the Kaiten and the Hakke Rokujūyon Shō vs Hinata was shown shocking the Hyuuga in attendance.
In the crowd
"Hanabi, look at your cousin. He was dealt a bad hand by fate but he continues to defy the odds and surprising me with what he can do." said Hiashi but he didn't know how ironic that statement was.
"Tou-san how did he learn those techniques."
"It is as the announcer said, he watched an replicated them by himself. Our blood runs true in that boy, only if he were part of the Main family then he could have easily been elected to be clan head after me. Watch him and learn from him."
"Hai Tou-san"
In the Arena
"Neji has not shown too much strength, especially since his taijutsu style requires no strength and does its damage by poking and brushing his finger across someone's skin because of this we have voided this category. Neji has shown us how fast he can be during his fights where he uses rapid gentle fist strikes to take down his opponents. We have decided to give him a 3.5/5 in speed."
Neji doing his gentle fist techniques were shown and people saw how fast he was able to poke people.
"From the fights we have seen we noticed that Neji has the average level of stamina. During his fights he doesn't show the fatigue affecting him but afterwards you can tell by his heavy breathing that he is tired. Because of that we have given him the stamina score of 2.5/5."
Clips of him after his fights were shown and it was obvious he was breathing hard after fighting.
"Neji never using a single hand seal during these chunin exams so we voided that category. His total for the stats that were unvoided are 16.5/25. Neji's strengths come from his taijutsu and his incredible intelligence and speed."
The Hologram screen showed both fighters side to side with their stats.
"Let the betting commence, who do you think will win? The mysterious blonde fighter or the Genius of the Hyuuga clan."
After a few moments
"All bets are in and the fight will begin shorty. May the participants of the first fight come down, Uzumaki Naruto, Hyuuga Neji, please come to the arena to start your fight."
Naruto jumped over the rails and landed smoothly and gave the crowd a wave as he moved to the center where the proctor was.
There was still no sign of Neji, he wasn't at the waiting area and nobody knew where he was.
"If Hyuuga Neji isn't here in 5 minutes Uzumaki Naruto wins by default." said Riichi
A/N: Is Neji going to make it back in time? I decided to put that little hologram bit in there because I thought it would be cool if the audience knew a little bit about what each person was capable of in case they decide to bet. After this chapter I might work on that Genma x Tsunami lemon before I start on the next chapter.
