A/N: I apologize due to the late update. I will try to update more regulary.

They climb upstairs and walk in the room, leaving the door opened, almost afraid of what they may see.

Victim is laying on the bed, her face almost completely bashed. She also has multiple stabbing wounds on the chest and stomach area. There was blood everywhere: on the pillows, walls, ceiling. She wears nothing but a white T-shirt and blue lance panties. Bed sheet is ripped off her, laying on the floor.

Sid walks over to the bed amd photographs the body from four different angles. Then he puts his forensic briefcase down on the floor and glares on the family photograph on the cupboard near the cupboard. Although photograph is splathered with blood, victim's face is clearly on it.

"I guess this victim is the daughter", Sid says.

Lindsay, who staid standing near the door, puts her forensic briefcase down on the floor, opens it and starts powdering the both door knobs for fingerprints. She finds fifteen usable fingerprints in total on both door knobs, lifts them and stored them.

"I found some good fingerprints on the door knobs", she informs Sid. "Maybe that could help us identifei the killer.

Sid starts studying the body. "She was killed about an hour ago. She has multiple stabbing wounds on the stomach and chest area, and also multiple skull fractures." His eyes trail down to her legs. "There are no obvious signs of sexual assault, but I can't be sure before I perform an autopsy."

Lindsay starts powdering the door itself down for fingerprints. She fioba over twenty fingerprints, five palm prints and ten partial palm prints: she lifts them and stores them. Then puts her fingerprint lifting kit in her forensic briefcase, closes it, picks it up and stands up, then walks over to the victim's writing desk, puts her briefcase on it, and photographs the laptop on the writing desk with her camera.

"I will take victim's laptop down in the lab", she says, "we may find out something useful." She opens her forensic briefcase, picks up an evidence bag from it, puts the laptop on it, takes a marker from it, removes the cap, writes something down on the evidence bag with a marker, puts the cap back on, and puts the evidence bag and the marker in the briefcase. She walks toward the bed and starts looking around and notices something under the bed. She walks toward her briefcase again and picks up a tweezer and an evidence bag from it, and walks back toward the bed. She picks up the object with a tweezer and takes a closer look at it. It turns out to be a condom wrapper.

"Condom wrapper. We mda find some usable fingerprints on it", she says as she stores it in an evidence bag and seals it.

"Well", Sid says as Lindsay is writing something down on the evidence bag with the marker, "there are no signs of recent sexual activity."

Lindsay photographs blood splatters on the ceiling and on the wall behind the bed, then takes few cotton swabs from her forensic briefcase, takes multiple swabs of blood and stores all the swabs by protocol. Next, she picks up an UV flashlight from her briefcase.

"Turn her on the side, please", she says to Sid. He does so, and she examines the bed sheets with an UV light. She finds something that looks like a mixture of semen and vaginal fluid. She picks up a cotton swab from her briefcase, swabs that trace, and stores it by protocol, then puts an UV flashlight back in her briefcase. She also photographs two bloody pillows on the bed and stores them separately, as evidences. Lindsay searches victim's closet, but only find usual stuff.

At that moment, Danny walks in. "There are no signs of breaking and intury", he says, "but window in front of backyard is unlocked. Anybody could sneak in and sneak out without leaving any signs of burglary. I lifted fingerprints off the window and I also found a glove and two shoe prints in backyard."

Don and Jamie are talking with Jon Harper Jr and his wife, Margaret. They are sitting on the couch, while Don and Jamie are sitting on another couch opposite to them, holding notebooks and pens in their hands and occasionaly writing notes. Eric is sitting on an armchair near by.

"So...", Jon asks, "you think that... my father is dead?"

"Forensics need to perform DNA analysis to be sure, but it defiinitely seems so", Don says.

"Oh, God", Jon gasps and bends his head as Margaret gently hold his hand. "You think that somebody... burned him?"

"Yes."

"Who... who could do such a thing?"

"Did your father had any enemies?", Jamie asks. "Did he appeared stressed out or scared recently?"

"No. I last heard from him week ago. He seemed fine. I know that I was supposed to check on him more, but I was always so busy with the kids and a job..." He notes his lower lip, trying not to cry.

"He was always strong", Eric says, his eyes waterly. "He was still managing to take care of himself at age of eighty five. He managed to understand everyone, he was always willing to help..." He swallows hard before answering. I can't believe that he is gone."

"I understand", Jamie says compassionately, nodding her head.

"Where can we find your daughter, ?", Don asks.

"She lives in Brooklynn, with her fiancee", Margaet says.

"Where were you today between four and five am?"

"Uhm... we were pretty much asleep. We got home from work and Eric got home from school as soon as we heard about this."

"Here is our card", Don says, taking it from pocket of his coat and handling it to Jon, who takes it, "so you can call us if you remember anything useful."

Jon nods his head.

Mac walks in the morgue, alone. Sid is already there, wearing his lab coat, gloves and eyeglasses. He is sitting near the table on which the feet is.

"Hi, Mac", Sid says, noticing him. "The best thing I can tell you is that victim was dead when fire made it to the feet and that shoe size is ten."

"All shoes in the house match to that size", Mac says.

"I can determine what killed him, but there are no signs of violence on this feet. Also, it is pretty obvious that feet belongs to eldery Caucasian man. I took a samples of blood for DNA analysis and tocxycology testing. I also found skin cells and black fibers under his fingernails, I already sent it in DNA and trace. And there is also this", he says, picking up an evidence bag from the desk near by and handling it to Mac. "Part of the burned paper. "I found it on the top of the feet, burned part, and didn't notice it at first. It is pretty burned, but you may find something useful."

"OK, I'll send it to trace."

Don and Jamie are walking down the hallway, talking.

"Well, nothing useful from talking with Jon Harper's daughter and granddaughter", Don says.

"But we did get the match in AFIS", Jamie says. "Dead woman from the alley is twenty five years old Kimmy Zachary, arrested multiple times for prostitution and pretty theft."

"That only makes it harder to find a killer. She was living a risky life and had lots of potential enemies."

"Her parents live in Bronx and she was currently staying in a motel close to a place where she was killed. We need to talk with her parents and search her room."

"OK."

Danny is sitting at the desk in his office, wearimg his lab coat and latex gloves, evidence bags from the Jane Doyle case on his desk. He is examining pair of rubber gloves found in possession of a girl who was found stabbed in the ditch. First, he takes multiple swabs of blood found on the gloves, performs DNA analysis and compares it with an elimination samples. All blood is matches to a victim. He does the same with a swab of victim's wound, but the only thing he finds is victim's DNA. Then he turns the gloves inside out and powders them for fingerprints with a fingerprint powder, and finds lots of usable fingerprints and glove prints. He lifts them and scans them in computer, comparing them with elimination samples. They all match to a victim. He also tries to powder front side of gloves for fingerprints, but finds nothing usable. Next, he scans photograph of a victim's wound in computer and runs it through toolmark database, but finds nothing.

"What kind of a weapon is this?", he mumbles to himself, staring blankly at the photograph. He shooks his head and powders victim's wrist watch for fingerprints. He finds three usable, and he compares them with an elimination samples. First two belong to a victim, the third one doesn't. He runs it through AFIS and find out that it matches to thirty five years old Eric Stanworth, arrested multiple times for theft a s assault. Adam grabs the phone, planning to reveal that information to Mac.

Eric is sitting at the table in interrogation room, wearing white T-shirt and blue jeans. Mac and Jo are also sitting at that table, interrogating him. Victim's photograph is on the table.

"Mr. Stanworth, we found your fingerprint on wrist watch belonging to this girl", Mac says, pointing on the victim's photograph. "She was found stabbed today near the Central Park."

Eric glares at the photograph.

"Yeah", he smirks, "I remember her. I accidently brushed against her this morning at about... five am while I was taking out the trash. I live near the bus station, she was walking toward it. That's probably how my fingerprint got there."

"You were arrested multiple times for robbery and an assault", Jo reminds him, "and you are currently on probation."

"Look, I didn't stab that girl. I don't even know her name."

"What did you do after you took out the trash?"

"I went back to sleep. Alone. Can I go now?"

"Yes, but don't go too far."

Lindsay is sitting at the desk in her office, wearing her white lab coat and latex gloves, scaning fingerprints found on back doors of Jon house in computer and comparing them with an elimination samlples. Every print comes back to a victim. Jo walks her office and smiles at her.

"Hi, Linds", she says.

"Hi", Lindsay smiles.

"Anything useful?"

"I'm afraid not. All fingerprints found on the back doors match to those lifted from a comb."

"So, they belong to a victim."

"Exactly. I also found two types of glove prints. One is identifeid as very common type of work glove. Other type was too smudged for identification. I am currently running the DNA profile extracted from the hair found on the floor in front of back doors through CODIS."

Soon, beeping sound from Lindsay's other computer is heard. Both Jo and Lindsay look at the computer screen.

"Ryan Q, 35", Lindsay reads. "Arrested multiple times for burglary, assault and theft. No arrests in last two years."

"Until now", Jo comments.
