I can't lose Jadey! I just can't! I raised her from just four days old in the labs up to the age of three, yeah she was experimented on by the 'Cons but she kept strong all through it, and she actually made me happy and feel wanted. I weak meow brought me out of my frantic thoughts and I looked down at Jadey, she was looking up at me, I could see how much pain she was in, but under that I saw reassurance "It'll be ok daddy" she said softly through the bond.
"But I can't lose you Jadey, I just can't" I replied quietly through the bond.
"I know daddy, but think about what would be best for me, if you were in my situation and you heard the options the vet gave me...what would you tell me?" Jadey asked softly through the bond.
I knew exactly what I would tell her, I'd tell her to put me to sleep so I was no longer suffering from the pain, yeah it would be tough on Jadey's part...but she knew it would be the best option if it meant I wouldn't suffer. I looked at Jadey again.
"I know it will be really hard daddy, but you have your family and Bondmate with you and they'll support you, and I know you'll support them...be brave" Jadey said softly through the bond.
I looked down and nodded through the bond, I looked at Jadey again and gently stroked her head.
Jadey purred weakly and licked my hand "Thanks daddy, for everything you've done for me" she said softly through the bond.
I smiled a small smile then looked at the vet "Put...Put her to sleep" I whispered, I've made hard decisions in my life, but this one is the hardest of them all.
The vet nodded "Ok, do you want to be here with her?" he asked softly.
All I did was nod, this may be hard but I was going to stay with her for her final moment.
