Summary: At the beginning she was the only one who can see him. He was her temperamental, stubborn and overprotective ghost half dog demon. Not to mention possessive as well. He has fifty days left. What did it mean? Who is after them and what do they want. "I don't give two hells if I'm dead Kagome. I'll protect you and that's a damn promise," he said.
Disclaimer: I do NOT own Inuyasha!
Author's Note
Just like to let you know I am alive. I am terribly sorry about this very late chapter. I have been preoccupied with schoolwork and my job, earning money for my family, you know? Please forgive me. This chapter is a filler, enjoy.

Silence could never been heard so loud in all his life. He could feel Sango glaring at him from the back of his head. "Stop giving me that damn look. I get it, you are angry. Glaring at me isn't going to change anything," he snarled at her.
Miroku held Sango back when she got up on her feet in a crouching position, he knew she was going to hit him over the head for his retort and sighed. "Inuyasha–"
"Are you going to lash out on me too monk? Keh, go on and say that I made the wrong decision, I don't give a shit alright," the half demon snapped at him before he can say anything else. Miroku had enough, he then hit him over the head with his Shakujō staff, not putting any spiritual power in it or else he could purify his demonic ghost spirit and that would lead them in complicated situations.
"Do you realize that you aren't the only one who has lost someone close," Miroku said, his brows furrowed together and stared down at Inuyasha who held his head. Even if he was dead, he could feel the pain on his head when the staff connected upon it.
"Damn you monk," Inuyasha seethed, he crossed his arms stubbornly and tapped the wooden floor impatiently, emitting low growls from his chest.
Miroku continued, slightly annoyed that the half demon still didn't get it in his head,"If Kagome were here and had her memory restored, we wouldn't be in this current condition. Even waiting for Sesshoumaru's call to see where Naraku is hiding. She could have lead us straight to him."
"Do you not care if she dies in this battle? What part of 'I don't want her dead' don't you fucking understand!" Inuyasha shouted on him. Shippo scurried behind Kaede who look up from grinding some herbs, her one good eye squinted to the two young men.
"I do understand that you baka. Put yourself in her shoes Inuyasha, she's alone, she seems like that void Kanna who's walking around like a ghost. No memories of you or us, she would want to remember. She has to remember or else-"
"Shut up! I won't hear it anymore. I'm sick and tired of you people thinking that what I did was wrong. I know you I'm not the only one who cares for her. She will not be a part of this fight. End of discussion. So sit down, shut up and leave me the hell alone," Inuyasha said.
Shippo gulped, he has never seen Inuyasha so pissed off in his life. Kaede sighed and decided to intervene when she noticed Miroku open his mouth to speak.
She was getting too old for this,"Miroku, ye need to learn that Inuyasha had no choice. If he wanted Kagome to be safe, we all knew he had to resort to this. Inuyasha," Kaede peered over to where she saw Inuyasha's ghostly figure by the door.
"Ye need to understand that ye aren't the only one who cared for Kagome's well being. I agreed with Sango on why she didn't have a say, yet I do not understand why," the elder woman stared down at the mixtures of herbs on her wooden board.
Shippo grinned to himself. He couldn't tell anyone, especially Inuyasha on what he had done. He'll be thanked later on, he hoped. Shippo then frowned, Unless I get sucker punched on the head for it. It was a good thing that Inuyasha didn't know what herbs Kaede had used to make the herbal tea to give to Kagome. He was taught a little while back on how to reverse the affect by Rin whom Kaede had taught when she was a little girl. It was a good thing too that Rin remembered how to do it.
"Understand what Kaede-sama?" Sango asked, hoping to hear good news this time. She shifted in her seat a little when Miroku sat back down next to her.
Kaede shook her head, she knew something was wrong, however; she could not point out what it was. She gave the young taijiya a reassuring smile,"It's fine child."
Sango nodded and hugged her knees, not everything is fine if Kagome doesn't remember.

Kagome placed her hand on the Goshinboku, her eyes filled with tears. "You stupid idiot! Why did you leave me...again," tears streaked down her cheeks. Her eyes became red and her cheeks were a little pink and puffy.
"This wasn't a smart way to settle the problem," she said to herself. Kagome wiped the tears on her cheeks and sniffled.
"I love you too much to let you go again. Why can't you understand that I want to be by your side throughout all of this Inuyasha," Kagome continued on talking with her eyes closed.
The wind blew and she shivered in the cold December air. The only way to make her feel more at peace was under the stars at the bole of the Goshinboku. It was her safe haven, she had to admit that she was rather confused on why he had done it a second time.
"Don't you want me to help you? Knowing that you are not part of the living makes my heart ache. Although, what makes my heart hurt even more is that you want me to forget you," she whispered.
Souta stood by the door, on the steps where it lead straight to the Goshinboku. His eyes lowered, he didn't like seeing his sister in pain. Nonetheless, seeing her cry her heart out for the one who she loved and cared for the most.
"Kagome," he said walking over to her. Kagome wiped the tears that were running down her cheek, but it was unlikely that they would stop any moment.
She looked down at her little brother and placed her hand on the top of his head. "Thanks for being there for me squirt." Kagome ruffled his hair, then walked off towards her home steps,"See you later."
Souta cocked his head to the side,"Where are you going?" She looked over her shoulder and smiled,"Just to a good friend of mine."

"What is it that you do not understand?" Naraku held Kagura by her throat and she horrendously tried to claw at his face.
"I...don't...understand...why you need–" she tried to tell him but his grip tightened, making it very hard to breath the first time.
"The jewel? To become an immortal you foolish woman. I've asked you what had happened to the hanyou and you still do not give me news on what has happened to that damn miko. If she gets anywhere near this place I won't hesitate to kill you in a heartbeat for not doing what you needed to do," Naraku said.
Kagura grimaced as once again, his hold on her throat compressed even more. "I..see." What a fatuous wish.
"Kanna, show me the miko," Naraku said as he glared over his shoulder at the void-less girl. She nodded and the image on her mirror changed.
"Surprised?" Kagome said with a smile when Naraku dropped Kagura onto the floor. She had her bow and a arrow notched back, aiming it at him. Naraku smiled deviously, then bursted out in to laughter, after his 'joyful' moments of laughing he grinned at her.
"In fact I am, I would have seen this coming from that pitiful hanyou, but from you. I wouldn't have guessed," Naraku answered her, his face consorted in all seriousness, his beady red eyes boring into her azure ones.
Kagome knew that it was very stupid of her to go into a fight alone, without any assistance. She had to do this by herself, she didn't need Inuyasha's protection this time. Kagome let the arrow fly at Naraku at the same moment he let a tentacle shooting in her direction.
The air filled with the reek of blood and Kagome let her bow drop to the floor as she fell on her knees. "Impudent girl," she had heard Naraku call her.

I hope you enjoyed the chapter. *Sweat-drop* Sorry about the cliffy. I hate cliff endings as much as any reader, but it's fun writing them. Thank you for reading!
