A Different View of Things

A normal day, but one thing was different...Megatron was unusually happy, it raises suspicion in Ironhide and wants to know why his leader was so happy. What he finds both shocks and horrifies him, but it brings out the one side of him that he's been hiding behind a gruff exterior for so long, he makes a decision that changes both his and Jade's life forever.

47. Chapter 48

"Hello" Autobot talking.

"Hello" Sparkling talk.

"Hello" Person talking.

I nodded in agreement, then I looked down at Jadey as she began to yawn. Then I noticed 'Moon was doing the same, I frowned a little. I could understand Jadey being a bit tired, but 'Moon? "Did you sleep ok last night 'Moon?" he asked softly.

Moonlight shook her helm "I had a bad dream about when...Jadey was stolen" she whispered.

I nodded, I couldn't even begin to imagine how 'Oly and 'Moon felt when Jadey was taken away from them.
"D-Do you know why she was taken?" 'Moon whispered.

I sighed and shook my helm, she was used for experiments and was harmed. But I don't know the full reason why "All Megadork told me was that she was needed for our 'benefit" I whispered "like hell she was"

Moonlight's POV
I felt sorry for 'Hide, he had to witness poor Jadey basically getting tortured. But I'll always be greatful to him raising Jadey through her time in the labs. And in a way, I love him for that. I looked at Jadey...how could someone harm a Sparkling? Megatron is a twisted b**tard "Why would Megatron harm a Sparkling?" I whispered.

Ironhide's POV
I sighed "I wish I knew" I whispered "he looked happy and I asked him why, he said he had a 'pet'...turns out it was Jade" he shook his helm.

"So they stole a four day old Sparkling, took her away, tortured her and treated her like scum?" 'Moon asked quietly.
I nodded "I was the only one who treated her with the love she needed" I whispered "I knew that she'd need the comfort after the experiments"

'Moon nodded in understanding.
I knew that she was rather upset, I held Jadey securely in my right arm "You look like you need a hug" I said softly.
'Moon nodded.

I put an arm round her, I knew that she needed comfort and talking about a subject like this made her unhappy. I knew how she felt when it came to talking about sensitive subjects, it took me a while to tell Ratch about my depression and 'scars'. Jadey was the first to know, then Ratch then Bex. 'Steel and Sire had witnessed it from the Well of AllSparks, it must've been scary for them to see.
Jadey chirped and cuddled her mother as well.

Moonlight's POV
I felt a bit better when both 'Hide and Jadey were hugging me, I smiled a little "Thanks" I said.
"No worries" 'Hide replied softly "why don't you get some recharge?"

I nodded and me and Jadey yawned again "Primus I'm tired" I said "can you keep an optic on Jadey?"
'Hide nodded "I'll take her to my quarters so she can sleep for a bit" he replied.
I nodded, I knew Jadey trusted 'Hide-and hopefully Ratchet-so she should be fine.

I smiled, then after kissing Jadey on her cheek I retired to my quarters.

Ironhide's POV
I smiled and looked down at Jadey who smiled, I walked to my quarters.

Jade's POV
I snuggled up to daddy as he walked to his quarters, he has a warm chest and he's got a steady Sparkbeat. It always made me feel better and safe, he walked into his and daddy Ratch's room.

Daddy Ratch wasn't here so it was just me and daddy 'Hide, he sat down on the berth.

I curled up on his chest, and yawned

Ironhide's POV
I smiled and gently stroked her cheek, she purred and started to fall asleep.

Jade's POV
I wanted to stay awake for daddy...but it's hard.

Ironhide's POV
I could see that Jadey was trying to stay awake for me, I smiled. I changed to my bipedal mode and gently placed Jadey on my chest.
Jadey got onto her hands and knees and crawled up to me, she kept stumbling a little but I held her steady. She crawled onto my neck.

I kept a hand near her so she didn't fall of and I kept still.

Jadey went onto her knees and put her hands on my mouth, she smiled "Dad" she said softly.
I smiled.

Jadey took her hands off my mouth and kissed me lightly on the lips before yawning.

I smiled and gently picked her up in my hand, I placed her in the cot beside me and put the blanket over her. I lay on my side so I was facing her and gently stroked her cheek with my finger.

Jadey smiled "Love you daddy" she murmured sleepily.
I could tell that she was forcing her will power to the limit just to stay awake to keep me happy.

I smiled "Love ya too Jadey" I replied softly "now get some sleep, ya need it"
Jadey smiled and fell asleep.
I smiled and got my datapad, I wasn't tired yet and I didn't want to leave Jadey by herself.

Jadey let out a sleepy chirp every now and again.

I smiled softly and switched on my datapad, Ratch showed me a website called FanFiction. And I really like it, it shows how creative humans are.

An hour later Ratch came in.

Ratchets POV
I smiled when I saw Jadey asleep, and 'Hide looked pretty sleepy himself. I got into our berth and cuddled him who smiled and turned off his datapad, he put it on the table "Hey" he whispered softly.

I smiled "Hey" I replied.
'Hide smiled and yawned.

I smiled "You should sleep" I said softly.
'Hide smiled and yawned, he went into recharge.
I smiled and went into recharge as well.
