Tanglestar raised her head and looked around. Scruffy bushes dotted the rocky hillside, and a hot Greenleaf breeze ruffled her fur. Tanglestar tried to sit up, and found she barely could. Her legs felt numb and wobbly.

Ignoring how weak she felt, Tanglestar managed to stand. She prowled around the nearest bush, scenting the air. All she needed was some food, and then she would probably feel better.

After prowling around on wobbly legs, Tanglestar spotted a small mouse nibbling on a seed. She crawled up to it and pounced, catching the weak creature easily.

Tanglestar scarfed it down, and still felt hungry. "There's no time to hunt, I need to get back to the clan," she muttered under her breath, going back to the place where she slept to retrieve the stone. After she grabbed it, she followed her scent trail down the mountain and hoped she wouldn't run into trouble.

The forest was waiting below her. The hot rock of Falling Cliff burned her paws, and she hobbled down the path to the forest.

The sun was falling, and it caused the trees cast long shadows through the forest. Tanglestar's legs trembled as she entered the cool undergrowth, and all she wanted to do was lay down and sleep. In fact, why didn't she? She was in her own territory with the stone and nightfall was coming. As far as she was concerned, there wasn't a better place to be. She nosed her way into the nearest bush, dropped the stone between her paws, and laid down and slept.
