AYANE'S POV

I sit atop a tall mountain in northern Fiore, it's snowing but I welcome the cold. I didn't get a chance to look at the job request I took but then again I don't really pay attention when i'm angry. I read it after I left the guild, the job seemed simple to me, find and destroy a nest of wyverns. It was rumored to have about twenty, it seemed like more of a pain than a dangerous mission. Then again i'm stronger than regular people, years of training day in and day out made me particularly deadly. 'I was so obsessed with becoming stronger I guess I didn't really make a good parent for Kyoske huh' I thought bitterly to myself. I had been thinking a lot since I left for my mission.

"It's really my fault."I muttered to myself. I had been drifting from him for a while now, and it way my job to keep us together… i failed Frezica. I stood up angrily

I shouted at the top of my lungs from the mountain. I stood there breathing heavily, then fell back down onto my ass. I laid my head in my hands."Why does everyone always leave?"I sighed.

Just then I heard a faint flapping sound, It started to grow in sound. I slowly raised my head not ready for the sight before me. When my head came up I saw a flock of Wyverns. Not just any flock but there were at least 50 of them. I smirked. I asked for a cookie and I got a whole cake. I stood and prepared my magic.

"This is gonna be good." I whispered to myself before getting into battle stance.

LEVY'S POV

I watched Gajeel sulk over a tankard of beer. It had been two days since Kyoske had left and Ayane took an S-class mission. He had not stopped worrying about her. We had to hold him back when Kyoske came to quit the guild. Master made sure that Kyoske was sure about leaving, then removed his guild stamp. Now Gajeel waited for Ayane to come back safely. Bacchus had stayed too, much to Gajeel's annoyance. Both of them sat side by side at the bar, along with me, waiting for Ayane.

"That damn kid…" Gajeel grumbled beside me.

"He's gonna pay." Bacchus said under his breath.

"You guys…" I sighed."It was his choice. I mean it was really horrible, but it's not his fault, he just wanted real parents." I explained trying to calm them down.

"Yeah but Ayane made a great parent." Bacchus whined.

"Yeah, but Kyoske just wanted two. You can't blame him." I slightly scolded. Gajeel perked up and looked to the door. Bacchus and I turned along with Mira and some onlookers. Ayane slowly walked in, at least it looked like Ayane. The small form was covered in blood. Bacchus and I started to run over to her as fast as we could.

"We have to get you help!" I told her worriedly.

"Ayane where are you hurt?" Bacchus asked her terrified. She shrugged us off and started walking to Gajeel.

"Relax you guys." Gajeel assured up his eyes just a bit wide."None of this is her blood. What happened to ya Ayane?"

"The stupid request lied." She sighed."It said there were like 20 Wyverns. That was bullshit."

"Was there not enough for you to fight?" Bacchus inquired.

"Nah. I was actually pretty happy with the amount, I got to fight off at least 50 of 'em." She smiled."It wore me down a bit but they were wimps. Once I tried keeping one as a pet, it just wouldn't be obedient though. It was so pretty I wish I could have kept it."

Gajeel's and the surrounding peoples jaws dropped, and their eyes widened. "50!?" They asked flabbergasted.

"Yeah… Mira can I use the guild shower in the locker room to shower off?" She asked turning to Mira.

"Uh sure I think I have some of my old clothes that might fit you." She said heading behind the bar. She ducked down and found some of her old clothes, and anded them to Ayane. She led Ayane to the back of the gulled and through a door that led to the locker rooms and the pool.

"She took on 50 Wyverns?" Bacchus said still shocked. "I can only take on like 30 and i'm an S-class." He shared.

"She used to be a cute little girl who cried at spiders, I never figured she had gotten this strong." Gajeel added.

"Yeah, you wouldn't know. Seeing as you left her." I told him. I know it was a low blow but he deserved it. He winced at my comment, but he didn't reply.

"That child has power that could easily make her an S-class mage." Master said appearing out of nowhere. We all jumped in surprise.

"Wait does this mean she is going to be in the next S-class trial?" Bacchus asked excitedly. "We can be S-class mages together!"

"I will continue to monitor her status and maybe she will be a candidate for the next trials." He said like the wise old man he is. "Now excuse me while I go check on Ayane." He said heading to the locker room.

"Hold it ya old per!" Gajeel said grabbing master by the collar.

"You can't blame an old man for trying." He joked. Mira had come out as master was trying to go to the locker rooms. When Gajeel released him she crouched down gracefully and scolded him. Fairy tail was starting to return to normal. And so was Ayane.
