Damon and Danielle

A horse whose was drawing a carriage with a driver and his passengers were heading down a dirt road. Up ahead, in the middle of the road, lied a man with a woman, who was kneeling beside him. The woman got up when she saw the carriage and started shouting for help.

"Please! Please, help us!" The woman screamed for help and ran towards the carriage as it comes to a halt. "Please, my husband, he's been hurt! Please help him!" She pleaded for help. The driver jumped down from his seat and went to check on the man in the road. The passenger of the vehicle opened the carriage door and exited.

"What are you doing out here in the middle of the night? It's not safe." The man said to the woman.

"No. No, sir. It's not safe." The woman said when she saw another woman approach them, so she bares her fangs and bites the man's neck. The man screams as the woman drains the life out of him. Meanwhile, the driver is kneeling over the man's body he turns around but only sees the passenger's dead body but don't see anybody. When the turns around he saw the woman where her eyes become red and she does the same thing that her sister did. She tossed him aside when she had drained him, blood drenching on her chin. That woman was Danielle Pierce.

"And that's how it's done." Danielle tells Damon while she wiped the front of her dress with her palms. Damon slowly and cautiously got up and looked at the two dead men and then to Danielle.

"What happens to the bodies?" Damon asks with curiosity.

"Well, I and my sister will take them into the woods and the other animals will finish them off." Danielle answered him, while he Damon seemed frightened. "Are you sure you're ready for this?" Danielle asked sensing that he was afraid.

"I'm ready. I want you to turn me." Damon said nodding.

"When it's time. Kiss me." Danielle ordered to Damon. Katherine saw that her sister was occupied; she decided to take the bodies by herself. She had come to observe Damon's training before being a vampire. Damon pulled a handkerchief from his coat pocket with a flourish. He moved to wipe the blood off Danielle's chin, but she grabbed his hand and moved in closer. "You should get a taste." She told him and moved to kiss him, but Damon moved away.

"Sorry." Damon apologized.

"Don't be. Soon you won't be able to get enough." Danielle told him and Damon hesitated for a moment before kissing her with a fiery passion. Damon pulled away and the blood from Danielle's chin has smudge on his lips which she wipes at with her finger.

Salvatore Boarding House

Stefan's Room

Stefan and Elena

Stefan and Elena were snuggled up in Stefan's bed. Elena awakened and Stefan woke up shortly after that and kissed Elena on the cheek as she pulled his arm tighter around herself.

"Mmm. Good morning." Elena said smiling to Stefan.

"I could get used to this." Stefan told her equally smiling at her.

Damon, Stefan and Elena

"Rise and shine, sleepyheads." Damon said getting in Stefan's room, leaving both Elena and Stefan surprised. Elena and Stefan both sat up, startled at Damon's presence at the end of Stefan's bed. Both of them pulled the sheets up to their chins, covering up any parts they might not want Damon to see.

"Damon! Please!" Elena pleaded with Damon to leave.

"What are you doing?" Stefan asked a bit angry with Damon.

"Oh, stop being smutty." Damon told his brother because he knew that Stefan and Elena were having sex. Stefan pulled the sheets further up on Elena, making sure she was covered up properly for Damon won't see anything.

"Seriously, get out of here!" Stefan ordered to Damon.

"If I see something I haven't seen before, I'll throw a dollar at it." Damon said to them about seeing a woman naked. "Now listen, we have some very important business to discuss." He finally said.

"And it has to be right now?" Elena asked with a scowl.

"Well, we have lots to do, now that we're all friends and working toward a common goal." Damon explained to them. Stefan and Elena exchanged some looks. Damon got up from the end of the bed and turned around to face them. "So, in order to open the tomb, we need to find the journal to get the Grimoire to undo the spells. First things first, since you are Elena Gilbert, you're on journal duty." Damon ordered to Elena.

"Since when am I helping?" Elena asked him knowing she was already in this to help Stefan stopping Damon.

"Well, Stefan's helping, and you've taken up residence in Stefan's bed, ergo..." Damon said to like it was obvious.

"You don't have to do anything that you don't want to do." Stefan told to his girlfriend.

"I'll look for it tonight." Elena said promising Damon and then laid back down on the bed, pulling the sheets over her face.

"Good." Damon said nodding accepting Elena's promise.

"How do we know that this journal will hold the location of the Grimoire? We're really going to take the word of this vampire? He seemed like a bit of a dimwit." Stefan said to his brother.

"In lieu of any other options." Damon said sarcastically.

"Okay, what exactly is a Grimoire, anyway?" Elena asked and pulled the sheets down and sitting up suddenly.

"It's a witch's cookbook." Damon said stating the obvious.

"Every spell that a witch casts is unique unto itself, so every witch would document their work." Stefan tried to explain.

"Yeah. Cookbook." Damon said once again.

"What about our mystery vampire? Dimwit obviously wasn't working alone, so whoever's out there knows who we are." Stefan states to his brother worried about their safety and the twins' safety too.

"And I don't like that disadvantage, so..." Damon said and clapped his hands together and ordered once again to the couple. "Chop, chop." He said and when he started to walk out of the room, he turned around, and continued to walk backwards out of the room while talked to Elena and Stefan. "You know, I really like this whole ménage a threesome team thing, no sorry, foursome. Eva is helping us too. It's got a bit of a kink to it." He said chuckling. "Don't screw it up." Damon ordered again and finally exited the room.

Stefan and Elena

After a second, Elena looked over at Stefan. She was worried about her sister. It was obvious that Eva had feelings for Damon and he was going to hurt her. She was so sure that was going to happen.

"He doesn't…" Elena started but Stefan placed his finger on his lips and pointed to his ear, he was indicating that Damon could still hear them. "Oh, right, yeah." Elena said remembering that they could hear well now that they were vampires.

"Okay." Stefan said after grabbing Elena's hand and kissed it. Then he started to get out of bed.

"Oh! No, come here." Elena said and pulled Stefan back into the bed and kissed him.

"We shouldn't…" Stefan started.

"Shh." Elena said stopping to start talking and placed her finger on his lips and then pointed to her ear just like Stefan did earlier. They both smiled and continued to kiss each other as they pulled the covers over their heads.

Damon's Room

Damon and Eva

Eva was sited on Damon's bed reading some books and journals to try to find some clue how to find the Emily Bennett's Grimoire. She was going to help Damon get the love of his life and she hoped that she wouldn't get hurt in the process. Eva continued to read when Damon got inside his room.

"Hey. Did you find anything?" Damon asked her siting down beside her.

"Nothing." Eva told him. "Did you wake up my sister and your brother?" Eva asked him smirking because she knew Elena hated being forced to wake up.

"Yeah, I did." He said to her. "And once again I want to thank you for helping me to get Danielle back." Damon told her.

"No problem. I just hope you don't get hurt in the end." Eva told him hoping he could understand that she didn't want him hurt.

"Thank you for support me." Damon told her kissing her cheek.

"Welcome. You are my friend. Quickly becoming my best friend, so I will do anything I can to help but like I said, I would hate to see you get hurt." Eva told him with an intense look.

"You are becoming my best friend too." He told her smiling and picks up another journal and started to read too.

Salvatore Manor

Danielle's Room

Danielle and Damon

Danielle and Damon were under the covers in Danielle's bed. She was giggling loudly about her time with Damon.

"What are you doing? Stop it!" Danielle said laughing and she pulled the covers down and Damon popped up next to her, wrapping his arm around her waist.

"Make me." Damon said challenging her. Danielle rolled Damon over and straddled him by the waist and bared her fangs and hissed at him. He looked up at her with curiosity. He decided to caress her face and she placed her hand on top of his, smiling down at him. Suddenly, someone knocks on the door.

"Yes?" She asked while she retracted her fangs and her eyes become normal again. She turned her head to see who was entering, but remained on top of Damon, pinning his wrists down with her hands. Emily entered the room.

"Excuse me, Miss Danielle. Miss Pearl is here to see you and your sister." The tanned woman said to Danielle.

"I'll be down soon. Please ask her to wait and go warn my sister too." Danielle ordered and while Emily was waiting to be dismissed. "Thank you Emily." The maid Emily exited the room, shutting the door behind her. Danielle looked down at Damon, pouting her bottom lip. "Fun's over." She told him.

"Hmm, no." Damon said caressing Danielle's face and she leaned down and kissed him on his mouth.

Katherine's Room

Katherine and Stefan

Katherine and Stefan had already made love and they were caressing each other on their arms when a knock came on the door.

"Yes?" Katherine asked looking at the door.

"Miss Katherine, Miss Pearl is here to see you and your sister." Emily said to her other mistress.

"Thank you, Emily. Go warn my sister, Emily." Katherine ordered to the maid.

"I already informed her. She will be down in a few minutes." Emily explained to Katherine.

"Thank you, Emily. I will be down in a few minutes, too." Katherine said and Emily nodded and left the room. Katherine turned then to Stefan and kissed him. "Wait here for me, my darling Stefan." She said and left the bed.

Downstairs

Pearl, Katherine and Danielle

Pearl was waiting for Katherine. She and Danielle were already talking about other things while they were waiting. Katherine was descending the stairs, fully dressed, smiling at Pearl and at her sister.

"It's good to see you, Pearl." Katherine said to her friend.

"Perhaps we could talk outside." Pearl suggested to the twins.

"Emily, would you please tell Mr. Salvatore that I've stepped away?" Katherine said turning to look at Emily which was standing behind her sister and Pearl.

"Yes, Miss Katherine." Emily said to her.

"And, Emily tell Mr. Salvatore that I will join him shortly." Danielle said smirking.

"Yes, Miss Danielle." Emily said to the other sister and walked up the stairs as the twins and Pearl exited the house. They walked down the porch steps and across the yard.

Salvatore Yard

Pearl, Katherine and Danielle

"How long do you both plan on staying with the Salvatores? People talk, girls. You both, carrying on with both brothers, don't help the situation." Pearl said to the twins trying to open their eyes.

"The Salvatores have been kind to take us in. As far as everyone here knows, we are two poor's orphans' girls from Atlanta, lost their family in the fires." Danielle said smirking and loving her life in Mystic Falls.

"A match one of you lit, no doubt." Pearl said chuckling. Katherine giggled with what Pearl said and agreeing with what her sister told. The three of them stop at the end of the yard. Pearl looked over at a young girl and shouted to her.

"Honey, please be careful!" Pearl shouted to her daughter. The young girl went over to pet a horse. Katherine and Danielle looked back then, they turned to face Pearl. They carried on with their conversation.

"Honoria Fell came by the apothecary yesterday with a case of this elixir." Pearl started and retrieved a bottle of liquid from her bag and showed it to the girls. One of the girls, Katherine picked up the bottle. "She asked that it should be sold at a reduced rate." Pearl finished.

"I don't follow." Katherine said not understanding.

"Try it." Pearl said to her friend. Katherine toke the bottle and uncorked it and toke a sniff of the liquid. Then she placed the rim of the glass on her palm and gasped the second she felt the burn.

"What in hell?!" Katherine asked with pain.

"Sister, are you alright?" Danielle asked worried about her sister.

"Vervain." Pearl simply stated to the girls.

"Why is there ver..." Katherine started.

"They know." Danielle sighed completing her sisters thoughts.

"They're trying to find us, and they're getting crafty about it." Pearl stated already afraid for her and her daughter.

"The townspeople ingesting vervain? Well, that's inconvenient." Danielle said and her sister handed the bottle of the vervain to Pearl.

"It might be time for us to move on again." Pearl suggested to the girls.

"No. I like it here. I'm not interested in leaving just yet." Katherine decided.

"I'm with my sister. I think this is a good place to live." Danielle agreed with her twin sister. Meanwhile, Pearl's daughter trotted over to them.

"Can we go, Mama?" Her daughter asked her mother. Both sisters and Pearl looked back at her. Anna sensed that something was wrong. "Is something wrong?" Anna asked once again. The girls and Pearl do not respond to her question.

Motel Room

Anna and Ben

Anna was lying in a motel bed, with her phone to her ear, as she was leaving a message for Jeremy on his voice mail.

"Hey, it's me again. Anna. Stalker chick and foosball champion. I'll be at the Grill later, if you want, you know, a rematch, or whatever." Anna said into the voice mail. Ben exited the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist. He looked over at Anna as he dries his hair with another towel. Anna hanged up her phone.

"Who are you calling?" Ben asked while he continued to dry his hair.

"Jeremy Gilbert." Anna simply stated.

"You're not, like, into him, are you?" Ben asked unsure.

"I need him for something. Get over it." Anna simply told him once again.

Ben walked over to the window and pulled the curtain back. The sun burned him, his skin starts to smoke, and he reacted quickly. "Oh! Mmm! Damn it!" Ben said after getting burned.

"Dude, you gotta stop doing that." Anna told him laughing.

"I know. I just… I keep forgetting." Ben told her.

"You're new. You'll get it." Anna explained to him again.

"You found the Gilbert journal?" Ben asked her after seeing an open journal lying next to Anna and picked up. He lied on the bed besides her as he examined the contents.

"Does that look like the Gilbert journal?" Anna asked exasperated with him.

"Well, it's old and musty, and how am I supposed to know the difference?" Ben asked sarcastically at her.

"I don't know, I figured maybe, just maybe, you've been paying a little bit of attention since we met." Anna said a little pissed at him.

"You know, you don't have to talk down to me. I'm not stupid." Ben said scoffing.

Anna got up and walked over to the mini fridge. She extracted a bottle of blood and walked back over to Ben, sitting down on the edge of the bed, and handed him the blood. "Here. Drink. I don't want you getting itchy around the witch. She can sense if you're weak." She said and Ben uncapped the bottle and gulped down the blood. He scrunched his face up as he examined the bottle.

"When can we go hunting again? This tastes old. I want fresh blood." Ben said to her because he was excited to humans.

"When we get that tomb open, you can kill anyone you want. For now, just stay focused on Bonnie while I try to get the journal back from Jeremy's teacher." Anna explained to him like it was the million times she did that.

"Why did you choose me?" He asked with curiosity.

"I needed someone in a position to be my eyes and ears." Anna started. "Small town bartender fit the bill." She finished looking at him.

"There are plenty of bartenders to choose from. Why me?" He asked once again.

"You were sad, Ben. You lacked purpose. You needed me." She simply said to him.

Gilbert House

Kitchen

Elena and Stefan

Elena was combing through boxes of old family memorabilia. Stefan was sited at the breakfast bar, watching Elena while she was looking for the journal.

"Do you think Damon really believed in us? That we're both trying to help him?" Elena asked him worried about her sister because she was with him at the moment.

"I don't think Damon knows what to believe. Trust isn't something that comes naturally to him." Stefan explained to Elena.

"You know... I really think that Damon believed that everything he's done, every move that he's made, he's done for love. It's twisted, but kind of sad." Elena said trying to understand a little about Damon.

"There are other ways to get what you want. You don't have to kill people. Damon has no regard for human life. He enjoys inflicting pain on others. For 145 years, every single time that I have let my guard down and let Damon back into my life, he's done something to make me regret that. I'm not going to make that mistake again." Stefan stated to Elena because he was worried about her and especially Eva because she was getting really close to Damon.

"So what do you think will happen if the tomb gets opened and Damon gets Danielle back?" Elena wondered. "And not forget Katherine because I think that Danielle would want her sister with her too." Elena said remembering about Danielle's twin sister.

"I think that no matter what Damon promises, a lot of people will die." Stefan told her without sparing her. Elena exhaled loudly and picked up a photo from the box. Stefan got up and stood behind Elena, examining the photo. "That's Jonathan Gilbert." Stefan told her after seeing the picture.

"What's this?" Elena asked after looking down into the box with a puzzled look. With her curiosity Elena opened up a wooden box. What appeared to be a muzzle is contained within it. Stefan looked as if he recognized the device, but didn't explain as Jeremy entered the room shortly after.

Elena, Stefan and Jeremy

"What are you guys doing?" Jeremy asked with curiosity.

"Hey. Just going through some stuff, I was feeling sentimental. Dad had this old family journal from years ago. I thought I'd dig it up." Elena explained to her brother.

"Jonathan Gilbert's journal?" Jeremy asked after sitting down on the kitchen counter.

"Yeah, what do you know about it?" Elena asked looking up at him with hope that he still had it.

"I just did a history report on it." Jeremy told her like it was nothing special.

"Oh. So where is it now?" Elena asked feigning innocence.

"I gave it to Mr. Saltzman. He wanted to see it." Jeremy informed his sister. Elena and Stefan exchanged looks. Alaric could be in danger if he knew the real story about 1864.

Salvatore Boarding House

Living Room

Damon and Eva

Eva was still at the Boarding House helping Damon. Now they were on the living room taking a break and drinking some bourbon. They were sitting in the couch talking.

"So, after you get Danielle, are you leaving town?" Eva asked him because she didn't want to lose his friendship. If she couldn't have him, she could have his friendship.

"Yes, for a while." Damon told her but he saw the disappointed look she had and decided to try cheer her up. "But I will come to see you anytime you want and if you have any problems I will be here for you." Damon told her and finally got a smile from her lips.

"Thank you." Eva said to him. "Now tell me, how did you meet Danielle and Katherine Pierce?" Eva asked with curiosity. Damon looked at her and smiled. Then he started to her his past with Danielle.

Mystic Falls High School

Dark Classroom

Alaric

Alaric was sitting in a dark classroom at his desk, poring over the contents of the Gilbert journal. Only a single lamp lights the pages as he reads from it.

"I met Barnett and Giuseppe this evening. I saw the skepticism in their eyes when I showed them the compass." The voice of Jonathan Gilbert could be heard voicing the contents of the journal.

1864

Mystic Falls, Virginia

Salvatore Manor

Study/Office

Giuseppe, Barnett and Jonathan

Giuseppe Salvatore, Barnett Lockwood and Jonathan Gilbert, members of the Founding Families were in the study of the Salvatore Manor, looking at the Vampire Compass and discussing it, how Jonathan could make it work.

"We're supposed to believe that can track one of them?" Giuseppe asked a little septic to Jonathan.

"What is it, magic?" Barnett asked Jonathan too.

"It's science." Jonathan replied to the other two.

"I'll believe it when I see it." Barnett stated not believing what Jonathan was saying.

"I've been thinking about this church idea. I believe it could work." Giuseppe said to his friends from the Council when Stefan opened the door of the study and became startled by the company his father had. They all turned to Stefan.

"Excuse me, father. I didn't know you had guests." Stefan apologized to his father.

"We'll be done in a few minutes, son." Giuseppe said to his son in hopes he didn't had heard their conversation.

"I'll come back. Forgive me, Mr. Gilbert, Mr. Lockwood." Stefan apologized once again and shut the door behind him.

"Have you told them?" Jonathan asked Giuseppe if had told his children, Damon and Stefan.

"Not yet." Giuseppe replied with a thoughtful face.

"Giuseppe, we need all the men we can get." Jonathan said hoping they could have his friend's sons help.

"I'll tell them. You can count on both my boys." Giuseppe assured his friends.

Mystic Falls High School

Dark Classroom

Alaric

Alaric had taken the journal to the teacher's lounge to make some copies. He toke what he had printed and the journal off the copier and walked over to a locker to place the printed pages in. Out in the dark hallway, Anna walked down the length of the corridor, to look if someone was around. Alaric closed the locker and walked out of the teacher's lounge and back to his classroom. He tossed the journal onto the desk and sited back down. Then he grabbed some papers in a tray and began to grade them. Anna rushed past his classroom with vampire peed. Alaric looked up when he felt a gush of wind.

"Hello?" Alaric asked after getting up and went out into the hallway to look around for something. "Hello?" He asked again but he didn't see anything. Anna was hiding behind a wall, close by, waiting. "Someone there?" Alaric asked once again and turned to his right and began to walk down the corridor, giving Anna the opportunity to use her vampire speed into his classroom.

Alaric turned around and quickly walked off to the teacher's lounge. He opened his locker and took out a duffel bag which he retrieved a blow dart gun from, modified to use wooden stakes. He took too, one of the wooden stakes and inserted it into the blow gun. He cocked the gun and walked back to his classroom. Before entering, he hides his guns up against the wall out in the corridor next to the classroom door. Swiftly, he turned into the doorway, pointed the gun, and shouted the dart. Stefan, that was already in the classroom, without an effort, grabbed the stake and stared at Alaric. Meanwhile, Alaric began to reload another stake into the gun as Stefan watched him. Alaric looked down and cocked the gun, once again moved towards the doorway as he did so. Stefan used his vampire speed around him and blocked his way. Alaric looked up at him and Stefan grabbed him by his shirt.

Stefan and Alaric

"You shouldn't have done that." Stefan stated and pushed Alaric into the desk and took the gun from him. Alaric scrambled up from the floor, ready to fight with Stefan. "Have a seat." Stefan ordered him. Alaric hesitated but Stefan pointed at a chair, insisting that he does as he was told. Alaric sited down in a desk. Stefan started to exam the gun that Alaric had. "What is this, compressed air?" Stefan asked him but Alaric didn't respond to Stefan. "Did you make it yourself? Who are you?" Stefan asked once again and moved closer to Alaric, who flinched with fear. "I'm not going to hurt you... unless you try that again." Stefan told him and handed Alaric the gun and he took it. Stefan pulled one chair of the desk upright and sited on top of it, looking at Alaric. "Now... who are you?" Stefan asked him more calmly.

"I'm a teacher." Alaric simply said.

"Are we gonna have to do this the hard way?" Stefan asked him looking seriously at him.

"I'm also a historian. And while researching Virginia, I… made a few discoveries about your town." Alaric started to explain to him.

"So you show up like Van Helsing. Come on. Tell me the truth." Stefan said forcedly to his teacher.

"My wife was a parapsychologist. She spent her life researching paranormal activity in this area. It was her work that led me here." Alaric finally started to tell the truth.

"Where's your wife?" Stefan asked him trying to get information.

"Dead. A vampire killed her." Alaric said with hate on his voice.

"Where's the Gilbert journal?" Stefan asked getting to the point that brought him there.

"What do you want with it?" Alaric asked him looking at him.

"Where is it?" Stefan asked once again.

"It's on my desk." Alaric told him.

"No, it's not." Stefan stated and Alaric looked over at his desk and saw that the journal was missing. Then he looked back at Stefan.

"It was on my desk." Alaric said using strongly the "was".

Motel Room

Anna and Ben

Anna was looking through the journal, while Ben was getting ready for his date with Bonnie. Ben stood up and walked over to Anna.

"Anything?" Ben asked her with curiosity.

"Not yet. Just a lot of gibberish. Yeah, some people just shouldn't journal." Anna replied because of the crazy thoughts that Jonathan Gilbert had.

"I thought this Gilbert was the brains." Ben stated and leaned over to look at the journal.

"Don't you have a date?" Anna asked him looking up at him.

"Yep. Wish me luck." Ben told and moved to kiss her, but Anna pushed him away, not taking her eyes off the journal. Ben walked out the room with hurt on his eyes while Anna continued to read the journal.

"I saw her again today… The most beautiful woman in town, with a name just as pretty: Pearl." The voice of Jonathan Gilbert's could be heard while she was reading the journal.

Flashback

Mystic Falls, Virginia

Apothecary

Katherine, Pearl and Danielle

Katherine and Danielle were whiffing various perfumes as Pearl speaks to them. Pearl was still worried about the Council.

"Have you thought any more of what I've said?" Pearl asked to the girls.

"We'll leave soon, Pearl, I promise." Katherine said to her friend.

"We need to take care of a few things first." Danielle supplied remembering of their past before going to Mystic Falls.

"You're going to turn both of them, aren't you?" Pearl asked Danielle and Katherine about the Salvatore brothers. Katherine looked at her sister and then to Pearl smiling mischievously. "Girls, please. Be careful." Pearl pleaded with them.

"We'll all be safe, I promise." Katherine assured Pearl. Then Danielle saw Jonathan Gilbert entering from Pearl's shoulder.

"Mr. Gilbert's coming. Quick, your cheeks." Danielle said to Pearl and Katherine pinches Pearl's cheeks. "Perfectly rosy." Both twins said to their friend. Jonathan stood in the doorway and Pearl turned to look at him. Then she went to talk with him.

Giuseppe, Damon and Stefan

Giuseppe Salvatore and his children, Damon and Stefan were walking together across their property and they were having a serious conversation.

"As descendants of the Founding Families, they'll want to know that they can count on you." Giuseppe told to his sons.

"Of course they can. Is there any doubt?" Stefan replied to his father for him and his brother.

"I'm not sure your brother Damon understands the importance of duty." Giuseppe said to Stefan remembering that his older son deserted the Confederacy.

"Damon left the Confederacy on principle." Stefan started to defend his brother. "It was his choice and should be respected." He stated.

"You'll forgive me if I have trouble respecting a deserter." Giuseppe stated with a disappointed voice.

"Well, I never asked for your respect." Damon said with some tension on his voice and his father stopped walking and faces his son, who had stopped too and turned to face his father once again.

"Good for you, Damon. Because all I have is disappointment." Giuseppe said to his son while Stefan started to feel the tension and decided to change the topic.

"You said the town is in trouble?" Stefan asked his father.

"There have been too many deaths." Giuseppe started. "It is time for us to fight back and stop these killers." He stated with conviction.

"Killers? What are you talking about?" Stefan asked already suspecting what his father was talking about.

"We live amongst demons." Giuseppe said to them and not telling the real name of those demons.

"You're being cryptic now, father. Why don't you just say the word?" Damon asked already knowing he was talking about the vampires.

"Vampires. They exist. And they live amongst us. But we have a plan to kill them. And you're going to help us." Giuseppe asked his sons. He looks at Stefan, nodded, understandingly. Giuseppe then looks at Damon. His older son did not make a move to indicate what he's thinking or if was going to help. Damon knew that Danielle was I danger and he had to help her.

Damon was on the Gilbert kitchen cooking. He was invited by Eva to have dinner at her house as her friend. So he accepted and now he was slicing a tomato and talking to Jenna, who was sitting on a counter with a glass of wine in hand. Eva was on her room taking a shower and a change of clothes.

"My father never approved of anyone I dated, which only made me want them more. Of course. What about you?" He said to Jenna chuckling.

"There were a few guys. Logan isn't the only loser I've dated." Jenna stated to him.

"They ever find him? Or is he still missing?" Damon asked with curiosity.

"He's not missing." Jenna stated still pissed at Logan. "He's in the Bahamas working on his tan. Very entitled, that one. Marches to his own drum." Jenna finished her rant while she drained the remainder of her wine. "He's a Fell. They're all snooty." Jenna said making Damon chuckle. The he walked over to Jenna, where he poured more wine into her glass. Jenna raised her glass to him and Damon turned back around to continue cooking and waiting for Eva to join him.

"Hello, Elena." Damon said when he felt her presence. Jenna turned around right when Elena had entered the kitchen. She was shocked to see Damon there. Had Eva invited him to have dinner with them?

"Hey. Where have you been?" Jenna asked Elena because Eva was already at home and was going to start cooking. "We're cooking dinner. I mean Damon is cooking and Eva just went take a shower and then is coming down to help." Jenna explained.

"Is Stefan with you?" Damon asked her.

"Um… he'll be here soon." Elena said to him hoping he would believe her. Then she leaned against the counter which Jenna was sitting on and watched Damon with distaste and hoped Eva would come soon.

Eva was finished with her shower and already dressed. She decided to put her long brown hair in a ponytail instead of curling. She was still thinking about her conversation with Damon. She really wanted someone like him, so dedicated. But hurt like hell knowing that Damon didn't love her. So she picked up her song book and started to write furiously. After finishing the song, Eva decided to call her Farewell (A.N.: This song belongs to Rihanna, I'm only using for my OC). That made remember her that she was going to let go Damon for him to be happy if it hurt like hell to her.

Eva after finished, she hides her song book between the floorboards underneath of her bed for no one to find the song book. She didn't like people read her songs, only when she was ready to let them. So, she decided to go to the kitchen helping Damon finish the dinner before Elena arrives and they start to fight. When she is in the doorway, she saw that her sister has already at home.

When she entered the kitchen, Elena glared at Eva because she didn't want Damon at their house.

"Hey, guys. Need any help?" Eva asked Damon picking a bowl.

"Of course you can. It is your kitchen." Damon said chuckling.

"Okay. What were you doing when I came down?" Eva asked him hoping that he would like to taste her cooking.

"The sauce for lasagna." Damon said to her smiling.

"My specialty." Eva said grinning.

"Your specialty? Let's see that." Damon said teasing her, while Elena and Jenna saw the way those two were around each other. For Jenna it was like a couple that was dating for a while and they were having a dinner with the family and for Elena it was a complete surprise to see a Damon complete relaxed without the bad things. Maybe Eva was changing him and he was changing her. She wasn't acting like she was, when she caught Tyler with Vicki months ago. She was happy. Elena really hoped that Damon wouldn't hurt Eva than she was already hurt by Tyler. Jenna then turned to her niece to comment what they were seeing.

"They are dating?" Jenna asked Elena whispering.

"No and thank God for that." Elena stated.

"Why? I can see your sister is happy." Jenna to her niece.

"He is gonna hurt her. He still is hung up on his ex-girlfriend." Elena said looking at a laughing Eva and Damon.

"Are you sure? Because the way he looks at her it's like he likes he hangs up on the Moon, like she is his everything." Jenna explained to Elena.

"I just don't want see her hurt once again." Elena told Jenna, making her aunt nod her head in agreement while they continued watch Damon and Eva cooking. Damon was so focused on cooking with Eva, he didn't heard the conversation that Jenna and Elena had about him and Eva.

Stefan and Alaric were still talking in Alaric's classroom. Then they reached to one conversation about the vampires.

"How long have you been aware of me?" Stefan asked him with curiosity.

"I learned just recently. What about your brother?" Alaric asked Stefan about Damon.

"You met Damon." Stefan said surprised.

"Who do you think killed my wife?" Alaric asked sarcastically.

"Are you certain it was Damon?" Stefan asked to know if Alaric was certain that it was his brother that killed Alaric's wife.

"I witnessed it." Alaric stated.

"If you're here for revenge, this is going to end very badly for you." Stefan warned Alaric because Damon is not easily fooled.

"I just want to find out what happened to my wife." Alaric stated.

"I thought you just said that Damon..." Stefan said not understanding where Alaric was coming with that.

"Yeah. I saw him draining the life out of her. He must have heard me coming. He just... disappeared. So did her body. They never found her." Alaric finished explaining.

"Damon can never know why you're here. He'll kill you without blinking." Stefan said to Alaric knowing what his brother was capable of doing.

"I can take care of myself." Alaric stated not knowing how Damon really was.

"No, you can't." Stefan said trying to protect Alaric. "I can help you. If you let me." He suggested to Alaric because Damon could easily kill him for a little thing if he was really pissed or angry.

Eva and Damon were already alone on the kitchen after they had prepared the lasagna and the bread. They were still laughing and joking around.

"Now, I'm gonna wait to see if you are the great cook they all are talking about." He said teasing her.

"I'm that good because you are not going to want nothing and anything else than my food to eat." Eva said flirting with him.

"Is that so?" Damon said flirting and coming close to Eva and making her backing up against the counter.

"Yeah, I'm that good." Eva said leaning into Damon and he was doing the same until they were kissing passionately like they did on the day Damon turned Vicki. Damon didn't know what was going on with him, doing this with Eva was making question his own sanity and his feelings for Danielle. Then Elena got inside kitchen and saw how close Damon and Eva were. She looked at her sister and that simple look said they were going to talk later.

Damon was placing something at the dinner table and headed back to the kitchen. Eva was finishing some details about dinner in the kitchen while Elena was carrying the plates towards the table and Damon deliberately bumped into her.

"Whoa. Mmm." Damon said sarcastically.

"Don't do that." Elena said smiling in an annoyed way and shock her head and continued past Damon to place the plates at the table while Eva was taking the dinner to the table.

"Do what?" Damon asked knowing what Elena was talking about.

"You know what. That move was deliberate." Elena stated. Eva was watching that shaking her head. Those two were acting like two siblings bickering.

"Well, yeah, I was deliberately trying to get to the sink." Damon told joking. Elena looked back at Damon and scoffed. He, now at the stove, stirs a boiling pot of water. He made some past in case the lasagna wasn't enough for everyone. "Speaking of Stefan, where is he? He's missing family night, which I am enjoying immensely." Damon finished saying that and looked at Eva. Elena not liking what Damon was saying she went back to the kitchen to gather more dinnerware. He paused briefly and decided to change the topic of their conversation. He wanted to know if it was real the help Stefan was going to give him to free Danielle. "Is it real?" He asked her.

"Is what real?" Elena asked trying to make sound she didn't know what he was talking about. Eva knowing that Elena was making herself dumb rolled her eyes and smiled at her sister efforts.

"This renewed sense of brotherhood." He said almost in sarcastic tone. He then took the spoon out of the pot and tasted the sauce and gave Eva to taste too. She nodded to him saying it was perfect.

"It is perfect." Eva said to Damon.

"Can I trust him?" He asked her looking serious to her.

"Yes, you can trust him." Elena said looking boldly at him. Then Elena walked back to the table to place the napkins. Damon used his vampire speed over to her. Elena turned around and looked up at him. Eva was right behind them. She wanted to know if her sister wasn't lying because if she was, she could get herself hurt.

"Can I trust him?" Damon asked more seriously looking into her eyes.

"I'm wearing vervain, Damon. It's not going to work." Elena stated to him.

"I'm not compelling you. I just want you to answer me. Honestly." Damon said to her in hopes that his brother wouldn't betray him again.

"Of course you can." Elena said and moved around him and went back into the kitchen leaving Damon and Eva alone. Then Damon turned to Eva.

"Can I trust in them?" He asked her with vulnerary in his voice.

"In me, you can. On Elena, I know you can, but Stefan, I don't know how your relationship was in the past." Eva started to tell him. "I just hope no one, including you, end up hurt after we find the Grimoire." She finished.

"Thank you. I trust you. In them not so much." Damon told her and both of them went to the kitchen to finish dinner.

Stefan, Danielle, Katherine, Giuseppe and Damon

Giuseppe and the twins were playing croquet in the garden. The twins thought that could be a way to finish charming their way into Giuseppe's heart.

"You can trust me, Mr. Salvatore. I would never cheat." Katherine said smiling and hit the ball with her mallet, knocking it through the bridge. Giuseppe sighed and Katherine giggled devilishly. Danielle was beside her sister and joined her. Both of them were playing against Giuseppe. Both Salvatore brothers approached them.

"I'm losing over here. Again!" Giuseppe said to Damon and Stefan. Giuseppe took his turn at the game and Katherine and Danielle, both curtsied at the boys. Damon and Stefan stop walking and observed the game.

"They are good. I almost believe that they genuinely like him." Damon said to his brother.

"Perhaps she does." Stefan said looking at them.

"They know father would have them killed if he knew the truth." Damon said scoffing.

"Not if we talk to him; explained how we feel. He could help us keep them safe." The young Salvatore suggested.

"Have you gone mad? No, no, father would drive the stake in them himself!" The older Salvatore said after turning his body towards his brother. Stefan was crazy if he was thinking about that.

"That's not true. We can trust him." Stefan said defending their father.

"No, no, not with this. Please, promise me you won't tell him, Stefan." Damon said seriously gripping Stefan's shoulder. Danielle and Katherine watch them across the garden and their smiles fell. Both brothers looked at them.

"I promise." Stefan promised to his brother.

Damon was looking at Eva still remembering a promise and the trust that Stefan made him and how later he end up destroying that.

"Hey, are you okay?" Eva asked him because she saw a different look on his face.

"I'm fine." Damon told her. "You are always worrying about me." He said surprised by her attitudes towards him.

"I worry because I care about you." Eva stated looking into his eyes. Damon started to lean into Eva to kiss her again when he heard Elena coming into the dining room and then turned to her.

"There was a time when I trusted him more than anyone." Damon stated to Elena.

"Trust breeds trust. You have to give it to get it." Elena told him looking up at him.

"Are you lecturing me?" Damon asked her amused by her attitude.

"Do you need to be lectured?" Elena asked him with her hands on her hips.

"Elena, you just looked like mom!" Eva said laughing leaving an amused Damon and Elena looking at her. Elena started chuckling too because that made her remember some things about their family time.

"I just want her back. I'm sure you can understand that." Damon told the girls trying to change the subject.

"I can understand that you would do anything for her, yes." Elena said knowing how Damon wanted Danielle back. Elena then walked past Damon and placed a bowl of a salad on the table.

Damon threateningly made his next statement, close behind Elena's back. "Then you understand what I will do if anyone gets in my way." Damon said and walked away, leaving an Elena disturbed and an Eva surprised.

Elena and Eva were left alone on the dining room looking at each other. Elena turned to face her sister and decided to talk with her.

"See? He will never change Eva." Elena tried to convince her sister to stay away from Damon because she didn't her to get hurt in the end.

"Lena, he is different with me. Don't you see that?" Eva tried to defend Damon.

"Okay. I will not say anything else. But I want you know that I will always be here for you, independent what happens." Elena said hugging her sister and leaving her then to her own thoughts.

After the dinner, Damon and Jeremy were sitting in the family living room playing a video game together. Damon was playing and using his vampire hearing to hear the twins and Jenna's talk in the kitchen.

"You said you never played this thing before." Jeremy stated because he was losing against Damon.

"I'm a fast learner. Quick reflexes." Damon told him. Then Jeremy's phone went off. He paused the game and took out his phone but seeing who sent him the text he decided to ignore the call he tossed his phone aside and restarted the game. Damon turned to him trying to be his friend. "Who are you dodging?" He asked with curiosity.

"This girl Anna. She can be, uh, persistent." Jeremy said trying to find the words to explain that to Damon.

"Is she hot?" Damon asked him.

"Yeah, yeah, but she can be weird." Jeremy said remembering the weird things Anna have done over the days since they meet.

"Hot trumps weird, trust me." Damon said wiggling his eyebrows and Jeremy smiled and laughed then.

In the kitchen, Jenna and the girls were talking. Damon was eavesdropping in on their conversation with his vampire hearing.

"He is ridiculously hot!" Jenna said to Eva whispering.

"Shh!" Elena said pleading to her aunt to shut up. Damon smirked at Jenna's comment and even more when hears Eva.

"This is the guy, she wanna hook me up when she started dating Stefan.

"He's an ass." Elena said looking over at Damon. He rolled his eyes and stopped listening in. Elena continued going through things in a box while Jenna helped her out and Eva continued finishing cleaning the kitchen.

"What are you doing with all this stuff?" Jenna asked with curiosity.

"I thought there might be something about my birth parents." Elena said to Jenna hoping that Eva would join her in this.

"Did you find anything, twin?" Eva asked her when she finished cleaning.

"Not yet." Elena said with sadness.

"Have you told Jeremy?" Jenna asked to her nieces.

"We will. When the time is right." Elena said to Jenna.

"We thought when he is better from Vicki's disappearance." Eva agreed with Elena, who's closed up the box when the doorbell rings.

"That's Stefan." Elena said and went to the door when Damon got up quickly from the couch and walked over to the door. He left an agitated Jeremy watching him go.

"Dude!" Jeremy said like he calling him again to play with.

Elena opened the front door both Damon and Eva were right behind her. Stefan looked at Damon, confused to why he's at the house, and then to Elena, who shrugged.

"Eva invited him to have dinner with us." Elena supplied.

"Well?" Damon asked changing the subject to what he wanted to know.

Ben and Bonnie were sitting at a table, drinking coffee after their date. They went to a bar sing karaoke.

"Admit it. I can't sing." Ben said to her flirting.

"No. You were great." Bonnie said chuckling.

"Come on, I totally trashed a Metallica song." Ben said throwing himself down.

"Well, first mistake, Metallica karaoke?" Bonnie said chuckling once again.

"Well, at least I could admit it." Ben said continuing flirting with her.

"The woman with the tattoos loved you." Bonnie said to him laughing and flirting.

"Yeah, well, next time, I'm going to throw out my Pearl Jam." Ben said laughing too.

"Next time?" Bonnie asked surprised.

"Yeah. So, uh, what are your friends up to tonight?" Ben asked trying to get information from her.

"They're all doing their own thing. Caroline's at her dad's, Elena's with her boyfriend, Eva is with new friend." Bonnie said and in the end said sarcastically because she didn't like the relationship between Damon and Eva.

"Elena and Eva Gilbert, right?" Ben asked because he remembered of the famous Gilbert twins from when he was on high school.

"Yeah." Bonnie confirmed.

"Yeah, I remember. You guys used to hang out." He said continuing trying to get more information.

"They are my best friends." Bonnie stated smiling.

"Yeah, my friends, they all moved away after graduation, and I didn't. So we just kind of drifted apart." Ben said to her showing sadness.

"Oh. Elena, Eva and I are bonded for life. I can't imagine it any other way." Bonnie said to him remembering some memories of them when they were kids.

"That tight, huh?" Ben said smiling from ear to ear.

"They are my sisters. I mean, I'd die for them." Bonnie said smiling while Ben sipped his coffee and clearly thinking about Bonnie's love for the Gilbert twins.

Damon, Stefan, Eva and Elena

Stefan, Damon, Eva and Elena walked out onto the front porch to talk. They didn't want have that conversation inside the house because of Jenna and Jeremy.

"Who took it?" Damon asked already getting pissed.

"I don't know." Stefan told him honestly.

"You know what, it's that teacher. There's something really off about him." Damon said already trying to find someone who is trying to destroy his plans.

"No, he doesn't know anything. Somebody got to it right before me." Stefan stated trying to protect Alaric from Damon.

"Who else knew it was there?" Damon asked and Stefan looked through the window at Jeremy, but doesn't say anything. Damon looked at Jeremy also and began to walk back into the house.

"No. Damon, leave him out of it!" Elena pleaded to Damon.

"Why, what's the big deal?" Damon asked to Elena and Eva.

"Please, leave my brother out of this." Eva pleaded to Damon.

"I'm only going to ask him about the journal. I'm not going to compel him. Do you trust me, Eva?" Damon asked her looking into her brown eyes.

"Yes. I trust you." Eva said the only thing Damon wanted to hear from someone.

"Damon!" Elena called after him not liking the way Eva let that go. Damon walked into the house, Elena, Eva and Stefan right behind him. Damon sited on the arm of the sofa to spook with Jeremy.

"So... I heard you found a really cool journal from back in the day. Who else did you show it to?" Damon asked Jeremy without walking around the bush.

"Huh?" Jeremy asked without really had listened the question.

"Don't ask questions, just spill." Damon said once again without using the force like he always thought it was needed.

"You're kidding me, right?" Jeremy asked him chuckling.

"Jeremy, did you tell anyone other than Mr. Saltzman about Jonathan Gilbert's journal, one of our ancestors?" Elena asked Jeremy trying to not make Damon mad.

"Why is everybody so obsessed with that thing?" Jeremy asked them.

"Who else did you tell?" Elena asked him once again.

"Please Jer, if you did tell someone, who was it?" Eva pleaded with him too.

"Just that girl Anna." Jeremy told them still not understanding why they were asking those questions.

"The hot, weird one?" Damon asked surprised.

"Yeah." Jeremy confirmed to Damon.

"Wait, who is Anna?" Stefan asked surprised because he didn't heard that Jeremy had a new friend.

"That's what I want to find out." Damon said to his brother and then turned to Jeremy once again. While they were talking, Elena's phone started to ring. Elena went off to answer it, leaving Damon to question Jeremy. "How do you know her?" Damon asked him once again interested.

"I just know her. She wants me to meet her at the Grill tonight." Jeremy told them.

"Perfect. I'll drive. Come on." Damon said and Eva picked her jacket.

"O… Okay." Jeremy said not knowing what was going on and got up from the couch and followed Damon and Eva out of the house. Eva was going with them to try control Damon if he didn't found the journal.

Elena's Bedroom

Elena walked up the stairs and into her room, answering her phone, after leaving the living room where they were questioning Jeremy. The scenes are flipping between Elena and Bonnie, at the Grill, walking away from her table with Ben to speak with her friend more privately.

"Okay, I'm alone. Give me all the deets, Bonnie. I'm dying." Elena pleaded to her.

"It's going great. He's a perfect gentleman." Bonnie said completely smitten with Ben.

"Gentleman, huh?" Elena asked happy for her friend.

"I know! Boring, huh? I just want to grab him and lay one on him." Bonnie continued gushing about Ben.

"So, why don't you?" Elena asked to her friend.

"'Cause I'm a chicken." Bonnie said chuckling.

"You're a powerful witch goddess. Come on, seize the day, Broomhilda." Elena said laughing.

"Okay. I'm going to text you later with more details." Bonnie said laughing too.

"You better." Elena said to her friend because she really wanted Bonnie to happy with someone.

"By the way, where is Eva? I thought she would be here with us talking." Bonnie asked Elena that Eva wouldn't be in trouble.

"Eva is downstairs trying to control Damon." Elena said with a scowl on her face.

"Control Damon?" Bonnie asked surprised with that.

"Yeah, we are looking for something and Jeremy knows. So, Eva is around Damon to try control him." Elena explained to Bonnie without giving to many details.

"Okay. Talk to you later." Bonnie and hang up.

"Talk to you later." Elena agreed and hang up too.

Stefan and Elena

After Elena hanged up the phone, Stefan entered in her room. Elena looked at him worried that something had happened.

"Where's Damon?" Elena asked him worried.

"He left to track down Jeremy's friend Anna, see if there was anything there." Stefan explained to his girlfriend.

"And Eva?" She asked again.

"Eva went with Damon." Stefan started but seeing that Elena was going to say something else, he started once again. "Damon is different with her. They created a bond since they meet. He will protect her." Stefan finished explaining to Elena.

"Okay. And why weren't you going to go with him? If he gets to the journal before we do, then..." Elena started.

"Doesn't matter." Stefan said and pulled out a stack of papers.

"What is that?" Elena asked after looking at the papers Stefan had on his hands.

"It's a copy of it." Stefan stated.

"How did you get it?" Elena asked him surprised that he got a copy.

"Well, Mr. Saltzman made a copy and was kind enough to loan it to me." Stefan explained to her how he got copies of the journal.

"He did?" Elena asked unconvinced.

"Not exactly, but I got it." Stefan said smiling and Elena chuckled at his answer.

The two siblings were in the car with Damon. Jeremy was trying to understand why they were so interested on the Gilbert's journal and why Eva and Damon were so close to each other.

"Eva, why are you always around with Damon?" Jeremy asked to her sister.

"Damon and I are friends. We hang out." Eva simply said to her brother.

"And your sister dating my brother made us hang out together." Damon supplied for Eva smiling at her.

"Okay." Jeremy said still thinking it was strange seeing that hanging out together.

Mystic Grill

After they arrived to the Grill, Jeremy went to the pool table to talk with Anna and play some pool while Damon and Eva stayed behind by the door. Damon was looking around the Grill when Eva told him that Jeremy was already waiting for the weird girl he told them about. They went to sit on the bar to start looking around for the girl.

Anna walked into the Grill after receiving the text that Jeremy end to her telling her to meet him there. She looked around and spotted Jeremy, leaning against a pool table, waiting for her.

"You just couldn't live without me, huh?" Anna said to him jokingly.

"Well, I kinda miss my daily dose of cute stalker chick." Jeremy said in the same tone.

"Oh, funny." Anna told him chuckling.

"Let's play." Jeremy suggested. They started to set up the pool table while Damon and Eva continued on the bar. Damon was listening the conversation and retelling everything they were saying to Eva. Then Damon finally recognized who Anna really was. His expression made Eva starting to worry about him and her brother.

Danielle, Damon, Katherine and Pearl

It was pouring rain outside on the streets of Mystic Falls. Anna and Emily were out on the front porch playing while inside the shop Pearl was speaking with the Pierce twins and Damon.

"The sheriff was here earlier. He bought large volumes of the vervain elixir." Pearl informed the sisters.

"Did he try to put his hands on you again?" Katherine asked giggling.

"Doesn't he always?" Pearl said laughing.

"She's saving herself for Jonathan Gilbert." Danielle said with her arms linked on Damon.

"That's right." Katherine agreed with her sister and linked herself on the other side of Damon.

"I'm beyond saving. We know that." Pearl said chuckling and both Katherine and Danielle chuckled softly with her. Damon looks at both of them, worried.

"How can you be so calm? They're getting closer to you every day." Damon asked worried, especially with Danielle.

"We are the respectable ladies of Mystic Falls. Thanks to Emily, we walk the streets in daylight. No one will ever suspect us." Katherine explained to Damon.

"Not unless a human tells them." Pearl said looking at Damon.

"I'd sooner die." Damon stated.

"And soon enough, you will." Danielle told him and them share a kiss. Katherine smiled at her sister's words. Then Anna entered the shop. When they see her, they looked over to her.

"Mrs. Fell is approaching." Anna informed them.

"Thank you, Annabelle." Pearl said to her daughter and walked over to hug her. The child simply smiled and laughed gleefully.

Damon looked back over at Anna, realizing who she was. Anna smiled and laughed as she played a game with Jeremy. Damon finally looked at Eva and only had to tell her the words that the Gilbert girl didn't want to hear.

"I already know who Anna is. She is from 1864. She is a vampire." Damon told her and grabbed Eva's hand and both left to follow Anna when she would leave the Grill.

Stefan and Elena

Stefan and Elena were looking through the copied pages of Jonathan Gilbert's journal in Elena's room. They were hoping that they could find clues before Damon.

"Here's a reference that he wrote about Emily." She informed Stefan and she started to read at loud from the page. "The Fell family believed it should be I, not them, who protected the witch's spell book. But I feared she would haunt me from the hereafter. They mocked my fear, but it was Giuseppe Salvatore who…" Elena paused her reading and asked Stefan. "Is that your father?"

"Yeah." Stefan said and sited next to Elena. Then he took the pages from Elea and continued to read at loud. "It was Giuseppe Salvatore who removed my fear. He told me he would protect the secret of the spell book. He said he would carry this secret to his grave." He stopped reading and looked up from the pages with his brows frowned. He was remembering something.

Giuseppe was inside his study, writing in his journal. Stefan gently knocked on the door and looked inside. Giuseppe looked up at him and placed his journal down.

"Stefan. To what do I owe this pleasure?" Giuseppe asked to his favorite son.

"Did I interrupt your writing?" Stefan asked to his father hoping he could talk with his father about something.

"These are the dull musings of my troubled mind." Giuseppe told his son.

"A great mind." Stefan said praising his father.

"Still. I will carry the real secrets with me…" Giuseppe said.

"To your grave." Stefan finished for his father.

"And a full grave it will be." Giuseppe replied to his son. Then he gestured towards the empty chair next to him and Stefan entered fully on the study and sited on the chair in front of his father. "Now, speaking of troubled minds, what's on yours?" Giuseppe asked him.

"I have concerns about your plan for the vampires." Stefan started telling his father.

"And why is that?" Giuseppe asked with curiosity.

"We are making the assumption that all vampires are as evil as they've been characterized, but what if that's not true?" Stefan asked his father hoping he would not kill all the vampires.

"Do you have any evidence to the contrary? Do you know of any vampires?" Giuseppe started to question his son.

"No. No, of course not. But are we to take what others say at face value? You always taught us so differently." Stefan stated while Giuseppe got up and wet to pour himself a drink.

"Stefan..." Giuseppe started to explain. "These creatures are of the darkest parts of Hell. They have the ability to control your mind, seduce your spirit. They are very deadly. They must be destroyed." Giuseppe finished and handed Stefan a glass of bourbon. "Those who stand with them; those who bring shame to their families will be destroyed as well." He finished and held his glass out to Stefan, who clinks his own glass against his father's. They drank, but Stefan looked disconcerted.

Stefan had a look of dawning apprehension on his face. He finally discovered where the Grimoire was. "I know where it is." He managed to say and Elena looked up at him, impressed with his quick discovery.

Motel Room

Damon and Anna

Damon had followed Anna to her motel room. Eva was waiting for Damon on his car worried about him. Anna unlocked the door to the motel room and entered. As she shuts the door, Damon appeared behind it. He grabbed Anna by the throat and vampire speeded her into a wall. Anna also grabbed a hold of Damon's throat. Both of them groaned and made choking noises as they tightly hold onto the other's throats.]

"Okay, I give. Okay." Damon said chocking. Anna released Damon as he released her while he coughed and rubbed his neck. "Damn. You're strong for a little thing." He said sarcastically at her still rubbing his neck.

"I was wondering how long it would take you to find me." Anna told him going to sit down on the bed.

Elena shone a flashlight onto Giuseppe's tombstone. Stefan walked around the grave, setting up torches and taking out supplies. He had finally understood what Jonathan Gilbert meant when he said his father would take the secret to the grave. He had the Grimoire buried with him when he had died.

"Why isn't your father buried in your family's tomb?" Elena asked him because all the members of the Founding Families had families' tombs.

"It wasn't built until well after he died." Stefan explained.

"Are you sure the Grimoire is in there with him?" Elena asked Stefan to be sure of that.

"As sure as I could be." Stefan stated without opening for arguments.

"Great." Elena said smiling.

"Elena. I can do this on my own." Stefan said picking two shovels up from the ground and looked at Elena.

"And I said I would do whatever I can to help." Elena said to Stefan smiling.

"I know, and I appreciate that, but…" Stefan tried once again.

"This town is my home, Stefan. My friends and family are here. You're here. I don't want that tomb opened any more than you do." Elena told him with a confident look making Stefan nod. Then he handed to Elena a shovel, which she took. He exhaled heavily and took a moment to gather himself. "I'm sorry that you have to do this." She told him with sorrow on her face.

Danielle and Damon were on Danielle's bed almost naked. Damon still had his pants and Danielle was using her corset and undergarments. She was going to turn him that night because she and her sister already knew about the Council's plan. They were kissing each other when Damon remembered about the day he would be turned.

"When you are going to turn me?" Damon asked her.

"Maybe tonight or tomorrow." Danielle kissed him fully on the mouth.

"Okay. I can't believe I can spend the eternity with you." Damon told Danielle with love in his eyes for her. Then the door is opened and some men grabbed Danielle throwing some water into her. She screamed and fell unconscious. When they picked her up and leave with Stefan went after them yelling.

Katherine's Room

Katherine was sitting at her vanity, examining a necklace. Stefan watched her from the bed. It was to safe her and her twin sister.

"What is that?" Stefan asked Katherine.

"A gift." Katherine stated.

"From one admirer?" Stefan asked not liking someone offering her gifts.

"From Emily, actually. And when will you stop worrying about the other men?" She asked him while walking back over to him and placed a shawl around her shoulders.

"I want you all to myself." Stefan stated with conviction.

"Just those men want me, but I and Danielle are the ones who get to make all the rules." Katherine stated.

"And why is that?" Stefan asked her.

"Because I'm spoiled." Katherine stated the fact.

"Yes, you are." Stefan agreed with her.

"And selfish." Katherine said and inched close to Stefan while pushed him down on the bed. Then she straddles him. "And because I can do this." She said and ran her hand up Stefan's chest and he moaned. She kissed his stomach. "And this." She said once again and kissed Stefan's chest. Stefan shut his eyes and sighed pleasantly. Katherine kissed Stefan's neck and inched her face closer towards his. "And this." Katherine's eyes became red and she extended her fangs, biting into Stefan's shoulder. Stefan groaned loudly as Katherine held him down. Suddenly, Katherine started gasping for air and pulled away from Stefan. Stefan sited up and looked at Katherine, worried about her.

"What? What?" Stefan asked her with worry.

"Vervain." Katherine whispered in pain.

"What?" Stefan asked her because he couldn't understand her. Katherine fell off the bed and onto the floor. She gasped and choked. Stefan jumped off the bed and kneeled down next to her, grabbing her face in his hands.

"Katherine! Katherine!" Stefan called her worried.

Giuseppe and Stefan

Giuseppe busted through the door. Stefan looked up at him in shock. He already had caught Danielle and finally he caught Katherine.

"Go get the sheriff. Tell him we have a vampire." Giuseppe ordered to his son.

"What? No!" Stefan said outraged.

"Do as I say, son! Nothing that you feel for her is real. She's a vampire, Stefan! A monster! I fed you vervain hoping that it would expose her." Giuseppe explained to his son why Katherine drank the vervain. "And her sister is already caught too." Giuseppe said to his son.

"How did you know?" Stefan inquired.

"Your sympathy for their plight. I didn't raise my sons to be so weak." He said throwing Stefan a shirt. "The sheriff, now. Go, quickly! Now, son!" Giuseppe ordered once again to Stefan to obey him. He hesitated and looked down at Katherine. Stefan stood up and ran out of the room, leaving Giuseppe alone with the weakened Katherine. Then Stefan saw that some men were taking Danielle from her room too.

Stefan and Elena were shoveling up the dirt, digging deeper and deeper into Giuseppe's grave. They were trying to find the coffin.

Motel Room

Damon and Anna

Anna placed her bag on the counter and sited down, looking at Damon. He was waiting for answers and wouldn't leave without them.

"How long have you been here?" Damon asked her without going around the subject.

"I arrived around half-past comet, watching you screw up every chance you had to open that tomb." Anna told him seriously.

"How did you know about the spell?" Damon asked her once again.

"I didn't say much back then, which means I heard everything." Anna told him remembering what happened in 1864.

"So if you've been here the whole time, then why are we just crossing paths right now, tell me little Annabelle?" Damon asked her and moved closer to her trying to intimidate her to answer.

"I like to use others to do my dirty work." Anna said to him and got up and walked around the room.

"Like Logan Fell? Oh, yeah, thanks for that, by the way. Little bastard shot me." He said still pissed with what happened.

"Logan was an idiot." Anna stated to him.

"Mm-hmm." Damon agreed with her.

"We slipped him some blood when he started getting all the kind of poser slayer with that compass. I needed his family's journal. I couldn't let him die." Anna explained to him.

"What'd you want with the Fell journal?" Damon still questioned her.

"I thought it contained the location of the witch's spell book. I was wrong and according to her journal, Honoria gave the Grimoire to Jonathan Gilbert. And, according to this…" Anna said to him and walked over towards the counter, opened her bag and took out the Gilbert journal. "He gave it to your father and so now you're going to help me find it." Anna ordered to her.

"Why would I help you?" Damon asked stating to her.

"'Cause you and I both want that tomb open." Anna handed the journal to him who read the page Anna flipped for to him to see.

"Hmm." He thought. Then he closed the journal and placed it back on the counter where Anna had it before. "Sorry. I work alone." Damon stated and exited the motel room and went to his car where Eva was waiting for him.

Mystic Grill

Bonnie and Ben

Ben walked over to Bonnie, the pair of them getting ready to leave. Bonnie was really happy that she had found someone to date. She did really like Ben.

"Well, the check's paid. I'm all yours tonight. What do you want to do?" Ben asked her hoping that their night won't be over.

"This." Bonnie stated and kissed Ben. After a moment, she pulled away quickly and looked at him with some fear. She had felt that he wasn't human.

"What's wrong?" He asked worried that he was discovered.

"Nothing. Sorry. I just should have waited until the end of the night to do that." Bonnie tried to give the excuse hoping he would believe in her.

"I didn't mind." Ben told her flirting.

"You know, I'm starting to get tired." Bonnie said chuckling.

"Do you want go?" He asked her.

"I was going to say let's have some more coffee, get a caffeine buzz, and, I don't know, go out and do something crazy." Bonnie said to him in some way she could understand the feeling she felt when they kissed.

"Hmm, like what?" He asked thinking that she was giving excuses.

"Like anything." Bonnie said laughing.

"Okay." He agreed with her.

"I'm going to run to the restroom." Bonnie gave an excuse to escape him.

"Okay." Ben nodded his head.

"All right." Bonnie nodded her head too while Ben sited back down on the table and Bonnie took her jacket back off. She headed towards the restroom and looked back at Ben, she quickened her pace and glanced back to make sure he wasn't following her to the restroom. Bonnie turned her head back around and still walking quickly but Ben had blocked the entrance to the restroom. Then his face turned in full vampire form, the red eyes and the veins beneath the eyes. Bonnie gasped, but before she could scream, Ben clapped a hand over her mouth and dragged her into the restroom, without anyone noticing he was taking somewhere.

Damon's Car

Damon was driving into the direction of the woods where his father was buried. It was the old cemetery of Mystic Falls. Eva was suspecting that Damon knew something he wasn't telling her and had to do with her sister and Stefan. Did they knew where the Grimoire was and they had lied to Damon?

"Damon is everything alright?" Eva decided to ask him.

"Stefan lied to me once again." Damon stated to him.

"Why are you so sure of that?" Eva asked him putting her hand on his shoulder.

"I have a feeling about that." Damon started to her. "And Stefan betrayed me once in 1864." Damon finished.

"Don't forget my sister is in the middle of this." Eva pleaded to Damon.

"Don't worry. I'm not gonna hurt her but… I gonna use her against Stefan, if I need it, okay?" Damon asked Eva looking at her.

"Like what?" She asked with a surprised look.

"Maybe turning her…" Damon started.

"Damon!" Eva said surprised that he thought about that.

"I'm not gonna turn her. Don't worry." Damon told her smirking leaving a laughing Eva at him because of his face.

Stefan continued to shovel the dirt out of the grave. Elena stood up beside the deep hole, beaming the flashlight down so Stefan could see what he was doing. Elena smiled and started shaking her head. Stefan looked up at her after seeing her doing that.

"What?" He asked her surprised at her antics.

"Not many girls can say they've done this." Elena said chuckling and Stefan continued to dig. His shovel hit something solid and it made a loud thud. Stefan looked up at Elena with apprehension. Digging into his father grave was taking a tool on him. He scrapped the dirt off of the coffin with the shovel and tossed it out of the grave. Stefan kneeled down on the coffin, wiping the dirt away with his hands. Elena kneeled down to get a better look, holding the beam steady. Stefan opened the lid of the coffin. Elena breathed heavily. She was seeing a dead body already destroyed.

"Is that it?" Elena asked Stefan while he retrieved the Grimoire, which was cradled on his father's arms. He shut the lid of the coffin and tried to regain his composure because his eyes were watery. Then Stefan stood up and placed the Grimoire on the dirt next to Elena. Then she kneeled down shining the beam on the Grimoire while Stefan ripped off the cover. Stefan carefully turned the pages of the Grimoire looking for the spell to stop Damon from opening the tomb to free Danielle and Katherine.

Damon, Eva, Elena and Stefan

"Well, what do you know?" Damon asked sarcastically coming into the view with Eva right behind him. Elena and Stefan turned around startled to see Damon coming and they saw Damon's lip curled up in a snarl. "This is an interesting turn of events." He said with a snarl.

"You lied to him, Lena. Why?" Eva asked surprised that her sister had lied.

"I'm sorry, Eva. I didn't want to see you hurt." Elena tried to explain to her sister.

"I can't let you bring them back. I'm sorry." Stefan tried to apologize to him.

"So am I. For thinking for even a second that I could trust you." Damon stated.

"Oh. You're not capable of trust. The fact that you're here means that you read the journal and you were planning on doing this yourself." Stefan stated to his brother too.

"Of course I was going to do it by myself, because the only one I can count on is me and Eva! Her at least is honest with me and everyone else. You made sure of that many years ago, Stefan. But you..." Damon started and then turned to Elena. "You had me fooled." He was hurt and that was showed on his face. Eva glared at her sister and Elena looked ashamed with what she did. "So what are you going to do now? Because if you try and destroy that, I'll rip her heart out." Damon stated to Stefan and pointed to Elena.

"You won't kill her." Stefan said to his brother, which he nodded because he knew Stefan was right.

"I can do one better." Damon said and runs in his vampire speed to Elena and grabbed her in a chokehold while she struggled. Then he bites his wrist and feed his blood to Elena. "Give me the book, Stefan, or I'm snapping her neck. And you and I will have a vampire girlfriend."

"Please, Damon. Let her go." Eva pleaded to Damon.

"I'm sorry, Eva." Damon apologized to her and gave her a look that was telling her that he wouldn't do anything.

"Let her go first." Stefan pleaded.

"The book!" Damon ordered and pulled away his wrist from Elena's mouth.

"I'm not going to give this to you until she is standing next to me." Stefan said to his brother.

"Problem is, I no longer trust that you'll give it back!" Damon stated to Stefan not liking what his brother was saying.

"You just did the one thing that ensures that I will." Stefan said to Damon worried about Elena. Damon that was still keeping Elena nodded at Stefan. "Okay." Stefan nodded at Damon too.

"Guys, I have an idea." Eva said after a long time.

"Which is?" Stefan asked her still with his eyes on Damon and Elena.

"You give the Grimoire and I'm going to Damon, then he releases my sister. Do you agree with me guys?" Eva asked looking at the too.

"I agree." Damon said agreeing with Eva's plan.

"And you Stefan?" Eva asked to Stefan because he still hadn't answered.

"Okay." Stefan accepted Eva's plan. Then Eva picked up the Grimoire and started to walk in Damon's direction. Stefan with eyes filled with terror watched Eva walking to his brother. Damon seeing that Stefan wasn't doing anything against Eva, he placed his face against Elena's hair, looking as if he might not let her go, but slowly he pulled his arm away from her. Elena slowly edged to the side of the grave, and then quickly jumped over it and into Stefan's arms. Eva then reached Damon while Stefan wrapped her in a warm embrace. Elena looked at Damon, terrified and to her sister beside him, and in the end Stefan and her walked out of the woods together. The others watched them go and then both left with the Grimoire.

"Let's go." Damon said to Eva and he embraced her while they left the woods in direction to his car.

Group of man

A group of men walked across Mystic Falls, they were carrying torches and weapons trying to find the vampire and Jonathan Gilbert was at the head of the pack with his vampire compass out.

"Make sure the two of you stick together!" A man ordered to his men.

"Go and check those woods over there!" A second man said to the others. Those men continued to talk with each other and bark orders around.

Salvatore Manor

Giuseppe and Damon

At the Salvatore House, Giuseppe watched the Sheriff place a muzzled over Katherine and Danielle. The Sheriff and another man picked the girls up and started carrying them off. Damon bolted into the room.

"No! Don't take her!" Damon pleaded to his father to not take Danielle. Giuseppe grabbed him and slammed his son against the wall. Damon struggled to be free but he watched the four men carry Katherine and Daniele out of the room. Danielle looked over to Damon but she was weak to do anything.

"Do you know what they'll do to you if you're branded a sympathizer? You'll be killed along with them!" Giuseppe yelled to his father.

"Then let me be killed!" Damon stated and grabbed his father by the shoulders and looked at him dead in the eye.

Damon was looking down at Giuseppe's grave for a moment longer remembering some of the moments with his father and then grabbed Eva's hand and they both left with the Grimoire with them. Damon was going to take her home and then he was going home too, to start to study the spells to free Danielle.

Stefan leaned against the doorway in the bathroom as he watched Elena who was searching the drawers for an Aspirin.

"The aspirin must be downstairs. Is my head supposed to hurt like this?" Elena asked her boyfriend.

"Oh, you'll be fine. That was just a small amount of blood. It should pass out of your system by tomorrow." Stefan explained to Elena. She walked towards Stefan and then he rubbed her back and Elena looked up at him worried.

"Are you okay?" Elena asked him.

"Damon was right. This is, uh... this is my fault." Stefan said to her worried too.

Two men carried Katherine and another two carried Danielle to a cart and placed them in it. Damon ran toward the cart, Stefan close behind him. The younger Salvatore managed to catch up with Damon and thrust his arm in front of him, stopping the older Salvatore.

"Damon! Damon! Stop, stop. I'll help you. We'll get them back." Stefan stated to his brother.

"Help me!? Don't you think that you've done enough? You promised you wouldn't tell him!" Damon said shoving Stefan away.

"I didn't think this would happen." Stefan promised to his brother. They watched the cart where the Pierce twins where start to leave. Both brothers watched the girls they loved going off to their deaths.

"You did this. This is your fault." Damon said looking at his brother with an intense anger and then ran off after the cart.

Gilbert House

Stefan and Elena

Stefan was recounting his story to Elena. With that Elena started to get worried with her sister because she was with Damon in that moment.

"I put my faith in my father, but Damon put his faith in me, and I destroyed that. This is my fault." Stefan stated.

"You didn't do anything wrong. Don't forget that." Elena said to him while caressing his face with love.

"Okay." Stefan said and caressed her face and the moment was ruined by Elena's groaning in pain. She was holding her head. "I'm going to get you that aspirin." Stefan stated to Elena.

"Okay." Elena agreed and Stefan kissed Elena on her forehead and prepared to leave the room when Elena called him. "Can you see if my sister is back? I need to talk with her to apologize for not telling her anything about this." Elena said to him. Stefan nodded her head and left the room. Then Elena lied down on her bed waiting for the aspirin and for her sister.

Stefan made his way downstairs and into the kitchen. Jenna was sitting at the dining room table. Stefan smiled at her. He started to look for the aspirin.

"Do you know if Eva is already at home?" Stefan asked Jenna.

"No. She is still out with Damon." Jenna stated. Stefan nodded at her and continued looking for the aspirin for Elena. "You know you're not staying the night, right?" She asked him chuckling.

"We're just going to hang out for a little while." Stefan said to Jenna and leaned against the doorframe.

"You're lucky I like you. Keep the door open." Jenna stated to the young boy.

"You got it. Hey, do you have any aspirin?" Stefan asked him.

"Yeah." Jenna said and got up and started to rummage through the cabinets when Jeremy entered the room.

"Oh, hey, Stefan." He greeted Stefan and then started looking around the room for someone. "Where'd she go?" Jeremy asked Jenna.

"She went to the bathroom." Jenna said to her nephew still looking for the aspirin.

"Where'd who go?" Stefan asked surprised by Jeremy's statement.

"He has a friend over." Jenna explained to Stefan.

"Anna." Jeremy said her name and Stefan looked as if he finally realized who Anna really was.

Pearl was watching the chaos unfold around her. Anna walked up to her, looking worried about them.

"What's happening?" Anna asked worried.

"Get Emily. Stay hidden. I'll get us out of here." Pearl ordered her daughter and then she pushed Anna back. Her daughter retreated obeyed to Pearl. Stefan was nearby and watched Pearl running across the field towards a horse. She untied the horse's reins from its post. Jonathan jogged up to her.

"Pearl!" Jonathan said when he reached her.

"Jonathan!" Pearl greeted him.

"Do you see all this? The town's gone mad rounding up the demons." Jonathan said smiling at her when she walked towards him. Jonathan smiled up at her. Suddenly, the compass needle started spinning and pointed towards Pearl. Jonathan, having heard the needle move, looked down at it and back up at Pearl. "You!" He said surprised.

"Jonathan... please." Pearl pleaded to him and while Jonathan was looking at her in complete shocked. Pearl started to back away. Anna saw this event unfolding and tried to rush to her mother's side, but Emily held her back. "I beg you!" Pearl pleaded once again.

"I've got another one over here!" Jonathan called to the men around. Pearl afraid used her vampire speed to run across the field but she was shot by a random man with the vervain. Anna screamed and tried to run towards Pearl.

"Mother!" Anna called for her but Emily covered her mouth with her hand.

"Shh, shh!" Emily tried to calm Anna down. Pearl fallen to the ground and Stefan watched this from a distance. Jonathan and the other men runs towards Pearl, muzzling her and put her with the others vampires that were being captured.

"Jonathan, this way!" The men called him and then they took the struggling Pearl across the grass to the carriage.

"Shh! It'll be all right. You're going to see her again. I already know how to protect them. I'm going to protect them." Emily explained to Anna while removed her hand from Anna's mouth. The young girl continued to cry silently. Stefan looked over at them worried. Emily nodded at Stefan and Anna looked over at him. It was because of Danielle and Katherine's affections for Stefan and Damon Salvatore that put them in that situation.

Stefan ran over to the staircase and when he was out of Jeremy and Jenna's sight, he used his vampire speed to cover the remainder of the length to Elena's room. He was afraid that Anna would do something against the twins.

"Elena!" Stefan called for her around the room and saw that Elena's window was wide open. Elena wasn't nowhere in sight. Then he heard some noises on the front porch and ran over there.

When he had reached to the front door, Stefan heard some covered scream and recognized being Eva's voice. He used his vampire speed to the door but didn't found anyone there. No one was in sight. Elena and Eva were caught by someone.
