Chapter XIV
Fool Me Once
Motel Room
Ben, Elena and Eva
Elena groggily awakened. She spotted Ben sitting in a chair by the end of the bed, sleeping. Then she saw her sister on the other bed starting to wake up too. Then she gasped and sited up frantically. They weren't at home. Elena looked around for a way out for her and Eva and stared at the front door of the room. Elena then went to her sister whose already was awake and worried too. They both looked from Ben to the door, estimating if they could make it without waking him. Quietly, Elena and Eva slide off the bed and slowly steps over Ben's outstretched leg. Eva did the same thing her sister did. They both slowly backed up to the door, keeping an eye on Ben because they didn't want to be caught again. Elena unlocked the deadbolt on the door, looking back at Ben occasionally. Elena turned the lock on the door and prepared to open it.
"I wouldn't." Ben finally said and Elena gasped and spun around. Ben had Eva by her neck ready to kill her. Then Ben inched towards Elena and used his compulsion on her to make her stay. "Don't try to escape. Don't even move. Or I kill your darling sister. Do you understand?" He compelled her.
"I understand." Elena said in monotone voice. Ben scoffed and thrown Eva against Elena, then turned around to get a bottle of blood out of the mini fridge. With him distracted, they opened the front door and bolted out, but Anna blocked their escape from the room. Anna grabbed both girls by the hair and pushed them back into the motel room.

"Seriously?!" She asked Ben because she had caught the girls.
"I told her not to move! I did that eye thing that you taught me!" Ben tried to explain.
"And forgot the lesson about vervain! One of them dates a vampire, Ben. The other is friends with one. Duh!" Anna said pointing to the girls. Anna finally pushed the girls up to a wall and opened the bathroom door.
"Who are you? What do you want?" Elena asked Anna worried.
"Does it matter?" Anna asked her and then pushed forcefully Elena into the bathroom and shut the room, then she turned to Eva.

"What do you want with us?" Eva asked Anna.
"Simple. Use you and your sister, to get Damon to help us to open the tomb." Anna said smiling about her plan and then opened the bathroom and thrown Eva inside too where she collided with Elena. After closing the door she turned to Ben, really pissed off with him. "Next time pay more attention. They know vampires and because of that they are protected with vervain." Anna states and prepared to leave again.

Elena helped her sister to get up and then went to flip the light switch. Then Elena and Eva calmly searched the room for another exit for them to escape from that room. Elena looked over towards the bathtub and saw Bonnie lying in it, unconscious. Elena rushed over to her. Eva after hearing her sister gasping turned to the scene too.
"Bonnie?" Elena asked lifting Bonnie's head up. "Oh my god!"
"Is she alright?" Eva asked joining her sister.
"She is breathing. Let's hope she is not hurt." Elena said hugging her sister and sitting down with her on the floor.

Damon and Stefan
Damon was in the study, reading through Emily's Grimoire. He was worried about Eva because she was supposed to come see him to help with the spell. Then, Stefan entered the room with an anxious look on his face. Damon did not look up at him. He knew that his brother was worried about something.
"Anna took Elena." Stefan stated to him.
"Yeah, I got that from your 600 voicemails." Damon said sarcastically.
"Damon, all night long, every single street in town, I've been searching. What if your blood hasn't passed out of her system?" Stefan said striding across the room towards his brother.
"Well, then at least you know you'll see her again." Damon told him remembering that Elena would be in transition.
"Please." Stefan pleaded with Damon and sited down on the sofa, next to him. "What do you know? You were with Anna you must know where's she living. Just tell me where I can find her." Stefan pleaded once again.
"Nope. You can go. Really." Damon said looking up to Stefan.
"You know, all I can remember is hating you. There might have been a time when that was different, but your choices have erased anything good about you." Stefan started with the same monologue to Damon. The older Salvatore laid the Grimoire down and gave his attention to Stefan. "But see, I also know you have just as much reason to hate me. This all began with me. Danielle got taken away from you because of me but Katherine was taken away from me. And I'm sorry that you lost Danielle." Stefan apologized to Damon.
"Apology accepted." Damon accepted his brother's apologies.
"So please, just tell me what you know." Stefan pleaded to Damon.
"Huh." Damon started to think.
"It's Elena, Damon. If you know something, tell me." Stefan asked Damon always pleading to him. Damon stood up and Stefan mimic him looking at him with anxiety.
"I mean this sincerely." Damon started and Stefan nodded hoping that Damon would say something important and anticipating his answer. "I hope Elena dies." Damon said walking past Stefan to leave the room and taking the Grimoire with him.
"Eva is with Anna too. They took her last night too." Stefan said hoping that this could make Damon say what he knew. Damon after hearing that stopped dead in his tracks.
"What?" He asked turning around.
"They took Eva after you left her at her house last night." Stefan explained to him. Now he finally understood why Eva still didn't show up at his house to help him. Then Damon turns around and leaves the room. He was going to get Eva save and sound.

Bonnie, Elena and Eva
Elena was wetting a cloth in the sink and then placed it on Bonnie's forehead. Eva was looking for any injury that Bonnie might had. Bonnie, then slowly opened her eyes.
"Bonnie?" Both twins asked at the same time.
"Elena? Eva?" Bonnie asked a little disoriented.
"Oh, you're okay!" Elena said happily.
"My head..." Bonnie said putting her hands on her head.
"You must have been bumped in something with your head." Eva suggested to Bonnie while grabbing her hand.
"Come here." Elena said and pulled Bonnie upright with Eva's help.
"Oh my god! Ben is a…" Bonnie started to say but Elena stopped her.
"Shhhh." Elena said gesturing at her and pointed to the door. "They can hear." Elena finally said and Eva started to get up and turn on the tap of the shower while Elena turned on the tap of the sink. Then both kneeled down next to their friend.
"I'm so stupid!" Bonnie exclaimed.
"No, he had all of us fooled!" Elena tried to calm her friend.
"Bon, calm down." Eva tried to calm Bonnie too.
"What's going on? Why are we here?" Bonnie asked to her friends.
"It must have something to do with the tomb and Emily's spell book." Elena said to explain to Bonnie.
"Spell book?" Bonnie asked surprised.
"Yeah. It is named by Grimoire. Using Damon's words it is a witch cook book." Eva put her opinion too.
"Damon said it could be used to open the tomb." Elena finally said.
"Why didn't I know about any of this?" Bonnie asked surprised that the girls didn't tell her nothing about that.
"I was trying to keep you out of it, hoping it would never come to this." Elena said defending herself and her sister.
"And we didn't want you to get hurt in this." Eva supplied her sister.
"Come to what?" Bonnie asked trying to get more information.
"They need a witch to break the spell and let the vampires out." Elena finally said what Damon and those vampires outside wanted.
"No way!" Bonnie said because she didn't want no one in danger.
"I know." Elena said looking at her friend.
"I know that too." Eva said to Bonnie. They wanted to talk more when Ben entered through the door.

When the girls saw Ben, Elena grabbed Bonnie's shoulders protectively and Eva put herself in front of them to protect them. Ben turned the tap off.
"You're wasting your time. I'm not gonna help you." Bonnie stated to the vampire in front of her. Ben then smiled devilishly and grabbed Eva and finally Elena. Bonnie reached out to try to pull the girls back, but Ben managed to pull Elena and Eva away from her.
"That's why they are here. Motivation for you to behave. You know, you shouldn't be so desperate. You made it too easy." Ben said smirking and pushed the twins out of the bathroom into the main room roughly. Bonnie got up from the tub and went to try helping her friends when Ben shut the bathroom door. "She wants to talk to you." Ben said to Eva and Elena.

Anna, Ben, Elena and Eva
Elena stumbled into the motel room with Eva right behind her. Anna was leaning against a table, looking at them. She really hated the Gilbert family.
"Well, well. It is Elena and Eva Gilbert. You both really are Katherine and Danielle's doppelgängers. You must have the Salvatore boys reeling." Anna said sarcastically.
"Who are you?" Elena asked her.
"I'm Anna. Your brother may have mentioned me." Anna said with a girlish sarcasm. "I mean, we're like, practically dating." Anna said laughing.
"You are the girl Jeremy went to meet yesterday at the Grill." Eva stated.
"Yes, I am. You were with Damon Salvatore." Anna confirmed.

Pool Table
Matt, Jeremy and Tyler
Jeremy was sitting at one table, doing his homework. Nearby, Tyler was shooting pool while Matt cleaned a table and talked to Tyler at the same time.
"Ten kegs? You know how much damage we could do with ten kegs? Duke's got it all hooked up." Tyler was explaining to Matt.
"Duke's a douche." Matt stated to his friend.
"Yeah, a douche with ten kegs. Aka, my new best friend." Tyler said smirking. Hearing what Tyler had said Jeremy scoffed.
"What's the problem, Gilbert?" Tyler asked ready to beat him up if he needed to do.
"Don't have one, Lockwood." Jeremy stated ready to defend himself.
"Yeah, I didn't think so." Tyler said thinking that he already won.
"Do you ever get bored of it?" Matt asked his friend.
"Of what?" Tyler asked with curiosity.
"Yourself." Matt stated and walked off leaving a Jeremy laughing at Tyler face. Then the older boy looked at Jeremy with a scowl.
"Keep laughing, buddy." Tyler said to Jeremy leaving the pool table.
Caroline and Jeremy
Caroline entered the Grill and walked over to Jeremy. She was looking for Elena and her sister.
"Hey Jeremy. Where are Elena and Eva? I've been texting them and Bonnie all day about Duke's party." Caroline asked Jeremy.
"Uh, Elena went somewhere with Stefan and Eva went with Damon." Jeremy told Caroline hoping that she would believe in him.
"I am so not going to be one of those girls whose disappears just because she has a new boyfriend or a new friend." Caroline sighed.
"Who is Duke?" Jeremy asked with curiosity.
"Some guy that graduated a couple of years ago. And he throws a party every time he comes home from Duke." Caroline explained to him.
"Wait, Duke goes to Duke?" Jeremy asked confused about the names.
"His real name's Bob or something." Caroline told him and Jeremy laughed quietly at Caroline logic. "He's a total ass. But he buys the beer. You know, you should come with us, Jeremy." Caroline suggested to the younger Gilbert.
"Uh, yeah, I… I don't think so." Jeremy told her shaking his head.
"No, seriously. Everyone goes. Even quiet loner little brothers." Caroline chuckled and then she saw Matt passing. "Think about it." Caroline told him and went to talk with Matt.

Caroline walked up to Matt. She wanted to talk with him about what had happened the night before.
"Hey!" Caroline said to him.
"Hey." Matt told her too.
"So, I have a speech. It is fully scripted and well-rehearsed. Are you ready for it?" She told him with an insecure voice.
"You wrote a speech?" Matt asked her surprised.
"Yes. It's a "You kissed me and I don't want things to be weird" speech. It's pre-emptive." Caroline stated.
"Pre-emptive?" Matt asked chuckling.
"Yeah, you know, in case you were having second thoughts or regrets, or were, like, ooged out…" Caroline started.
"Ooged, huh?" Matt said once again chuckling.
"Can I just get on with the speech part?" Caroline asked him almost losing her patience.
"Yeah, go for it." Matt said to her grinning.
"So I know that you don't think that this is going to work out between us. I just want to let you know that right here and right now, I'm offering you an out. Like an escape clause." Caroline stated on her speech.
"Why are you giving me an escape clause?" Matt asked with curiosity.
"I don't wanna make assumptions about what it is we're doing here." Caroline told him, still remembering their kiss.
"Got it." Matt said to her still not understanding what she was meaning with that.
"So, if you would like to exercise it, just let me know." Caroline said prepared to leave.
"I'm good, but thanks." Matt said to still ready to start laughing.
"Okay. Good." Caroline continued not knowing what to say anymore.
"Yeah." Matt agreed with her once again.
"So, see you for Duke's tonight." Caroline said and picked up her purse to leave.
"Yeah." Matt said smiling at her and went back to work leaving a laughing Caroline happily.
Bennett's House

Damon and Sheila
Damon knocked on the front door of the Bennett's house. Sheila opened it the door and saw it was a vampire.
"Yes?" Sheila asked him.
"Hi there. I'm, uh, looking for Bonnie." Damon said to Sheila.
"She's not here." Sheila stated already knowing he was a vampire.
"Oh, well do you know when she…" He started.
"Never." Sheila stated.
"You have quite an opinion for someone who doesn't know me." Damon said chuckling.
"You got some kind of nerve knocking on a Bennett witch's door and asking her for anything." Sheila said with fire on her eyes.
"What'd I do?" Damon asked her.
"Spirits talk, Mr. Salvatore, and so does my granddaughter. You are no friend to us. Now get off my porch." Sheila stated to him once again.
"Step outside and say that." Damon said stepping closer to Sheila. The older woman stared at him. Then all of the sudden, Damon groaned and held his head in pain. He was feeling that his head was about to explode. Damon stared to back to her and Sheila stepped out onto the porch.
"I am not Bonnie. You don't wanna mess with me." Sheila told him with a glare and went back into her house. She slammed the door shut and she breathed heavily as she leaned against the front door.
Motel Room
Anna, Elena and Eva
Anna was peering out the curtain, looking outside. She was waiting for Stefan or Damon to give her the Grimoire or to make a deal with them. Both twins were watching her pacing around the floor.
"Bonnie's not gonna open the tomb." Elena stated.
"Oh, I think she will." Anna said smiling.
"Do you really want Katherine and Danielle out that bad?" Eva asked her.
"Trust me. No one I know wants to see those girls again. Except Damon, the love struck idiot." Anna said looking over to the twins.
"You have someone important inside that tomb, isn't it?" Eva asked her again understanding that Anna really hated the Pierce twins.
"Then what is it? Or who is it?" Elena asked with curiosity after realizing what her sister realized too.
"My mother's in there." Anna told them and walked closer towards them. "Katherine and Danielle, they couldn't help themselves. They just had to toy around with both of the Salvatore brothers. And when they got caught by their stupidity, so did my mother. I watched Jonathan Gilbert take her away." Anna said with so much hate.
"I'm sorry." Elena said sincerely.
"Me too." Eva said with the same tone of voice.
"You really mean that, don't you?" Anna said chuckling. "Yeah, I think we'll skip the dead mom bonding so you both can start serving a purpose." Anna stated to them.
"Which is what?" Elena asked already getting mad.
"Leverage. This belong to you?" Anna said holding up Elena's phone. The younger twin tried to grab it from Anna but she pulled it away. "Ah… ah!" Anna said pointing her finger walking across the room while dialing a number on the phone. The phone rang and Stefan picked up from the other end, at the Salvatore Boarding House.
"Elena? Are you okay? And Eva?" Stefan asked in panic.
"They are fine. For now. Tell me you have the Grimoire and she'll stay fine." Anna told him when Damon entered the room. He leans against the doorframe of the study and watched his brother.
"I can get it." Stefan stated.
"Which means your brother has it. And I have the witch. So one of you had better meet me in the very public town square in 30 minutes so we can safely discuss how fun it's gonna be to work together." Anna told him and hanged up. Stefan did the same and then looked up at his brother.

"Go ahead. Grovel again. Oh, wait no... I don't care." Damon said and prepared to leave the room but then turned to his brother. "Eva, I gonna save her but Elena I hope she dies and you end up miserable." Then finally the black raven haired man left the room. His younger brother stayed looking at his retrieving form.

After finished the phone call, Anna went knock on the bathroom door. She was going to warn and give some advice to Ben. "I'm leaving." She said because Ben being a vampire could hear her. Then Ben opened the door of the bathroom and leaded Bonnie out from the bathroom. "Keep them buttoned down. Compulsion won't work. Just use violence." Anna ordered him.
"Right. I got that." Ben told her nodding and watched Anna prepare to leave.
"Another thing. One of the twins, meaning Eva is not to be harmed. Damon Salvatore is different from his brother, Stefan. He will kill you instantly if the human is hurt." She advised him because what she had said was true. After that Anna left the room and Ben pushed Bonnie onto the bed where the twins were sited.

"Sit. Behave." He ordered to Bonnie. "So you're the key to this. Literally. The one who opens the door. Tell me, how long have you been a witch?" Ben asked to Bonnie.
"Is there anything to drink here?" Elena asked him. She was already thinking of forming a plan to escape on her head.
"Are you offering? There's water on the night stand." Ben told her getting up and walking over to Elena. Eva picked up the glass of water and passed to her sister which started to drink.
"Hey. Can I have a sip?" Bonnie asked to her friend. Elena pulled the glass away from her mouth and understood what Bonnie was planning on doing. Elena passed the glass to Eva, who's handed the glass of water to Bonnie. Their tanned friend took it and tossed the water at him. Then Bonnie turned the water into flames. Ben yelled and patted the flame down on his arm. The girls got up and ran to the door. Bonnie and Elena made it to the door and opened it, ready to run out but Ben grabbed Eva before they were able to make it out.
"Come back in! Shut the door!" Ben threated them.
"Don't hurt her!" Bonnie pleads with Ben and slide back into the room with Elena.
"Don't make me!" Ben said to her yelling. Bonnie and Elena shut the door behind them.
"Please don't hurt my sister." Elena pleaded to Ben.
"Lock it!" Ben ordered and Bonnie locked the door. Elena was a little in the front of Bonnie walked over to the bed where Ben throws Eva. Bonnie joined both girls on the bed afraid with what might happen now.
Mystic Falls Towns Square
Anna and Jeremy
Anna was walking through the Town Square. She was looking for Stefan or Damon Salvatore. She wanted to make a deal with them when Jeremy saw her from the Grill and ran over to her.
"Anna! Hey, what happened to you last night?" Jeremy asked her remembering that she had disappeared from his house.
"Sorry, I had to leave. I told your sister to tell you." Anna said to Jeremy giving an excuse to him.
"I haven't seen them. Which sister? Eva or Elena?" Jeremy asked with curiosity.
"Well, I gotta run, so…" Anna said trying to leave.
"Hey, do you wanna go to a party tonight?" Jeremy invited her.
"Go to what?" Anna asked him.
"Oh, the guy who's throwing it is a total douche, but it's supposed to be fun. I figured, you know, safety in numbers." Jeremy explained to Anna laughing.
"So, you're finally ready to go out with me, are you?" Anna asked chuckling.
"It's been a while since I've been to a party, and I kind of want to get back out there and not be such a… loner." Jeremy started to explain to Anna. "And, uh, I like you. You're fun, and you're also kind of strange and lurky but, uh, I guess I like that, too. So, yeah, you should come to the party. With me. It's in the woods by that old cemetery." Jeremy finished telling her the location of the party.
"Oh. It's there, huh? That sounds cool. Uh, I'll meet you." Anna said with a smile in her face and remembering that the tomb where her mother was trapped.
"Oh. Okay! Great." Jeremy said happy that she accepted his invitation. While Anna started to walk away, he stayed watching her. "Cool."
"Okay." She said once again awkwardly and glanced back at him while he was leaving too. Then she sited down on a bench, waiting and looking around for Stefan or Damon Salvatore. Suddenly, Damon appeared next to her, sitting on the bench too.

"Got a hot date or are you just plan on nabbing the entire Gilbert family?" Damon asked her sarcastically.
"A party, right next to the old cemetery. Isn't that nice of them? Lots of warm bodies for starving vampires." Anna said to Damon imaging the blood of the humans.
"I told you. I work alone." Damon stated to Anna.
"Yeah, so do I. But you are minus a witch and I'm minus a spell book. So what do you say?" Anna asked him once again.
"Stefan will come after you, you know that. For messing with Elena." Damon stated to her because he knew his brother well.
"Then he won't be too happy if I kill her when I don't get what I want." Anna stated.
"I don't care about Elena. But if you hurt Eva, I will kill you." Damon warned her with rage in his eyes.
"So, if you don't help me, I will kill Eva." Anna said getting up and starting to walk away. Damon worried about Eva, scrunched his face and sighed.
"When do you want to do this?" Damon asked accepting her conditions.
"God, it's like 1864 all over again." Anna said with a smile turning around to face Damon and laughed at his face. "You Salvatores are truly pathetic when it comes to women. Tonight. After sundown. Meet at the church." She finished and left him alone.
Motel Room
Bonnie, Elena and Eva
The girls and Bonnie had resumed their seats on the beds. Ben was pacing in front of them. Eva was worried about them. If Damon knew she was here he could start killing and Stefan too. And of course she hated to be in closed doors for a long time.
"Witches don't have eternal life, right? So you guys can die." Ben asked Bonnie.
"Yep. We can die." Bonnie told him like it was obvious.
"Ah. That sucks." Ben said sarcastically when all of a sudden, Stefan kicked the door in with his foot. Ben screamed as the sunlight started to burn his skin. He still didn't have a daylight ring. Stefan seeing that, he ripped the curtain open, allowing more sunlight to pour in the room. Ben with fear hides himself in the dark between the two beds.
"Stefan!" Elena yelled after seeing him. The three girls got up and they dashed out the door with fear.
"Let's get outside!" Stefan ordered to the girls and then walked over to Ben and looked down at him. "When the sun goes down, leave town. If I ever see you again, I will kill you." Stefan threatens him and left without looking back at him.
Bennett's House

Bonnie and Sheila
After Stefan had rescued the girls, they went to the Bennett's house while Eva went to talk with Damon. Elena and Stefan were on the living room waiting that Bonnie and Sheila to finish their talk on the dining room. Stefan was hugging Elena and making sure she was okay and not having anything or any scratch. Bonnie and Sheila were sitting at a table, conversing. Sheila was explaining to her how they found her and the twins.
"How did you know where we were?" Bonnie asked her surprised.
"Many things can fuel a witches' power. Worry. Anger. After Stefan told me they had taken you, I had a lot of both. Simple locater spell was easy after that." Sheila explained to Bonnie about some of the witches' powers.
"I'm sorry. About all of this." Bonnie said with a sorrow voice.
"Not as sorry as they're gonna be." Sheila told her with a smirk. Then Elena and Stefan came in from the living room.
Bonnie, Elena, Sheila and Stefan
Stefan and Elena entered on the dining room while Sheila and Bonnie were still talking about what had happened today. Stefan and Elena wanted to convince the Bennett's witches to help them to open the tomb. It was the only way to make Damon leave the town in that moment.
"So what do we do now?" Elena asked to everyone who was present.
"Well, for now, you need to stay here." Stefan told Elena because he was worried about them.
"A prisoner, in my own home? I don't think so." Sheila said sarcastically.
"I can't protect you if you leave the house." Stefan explained to Sheila.
"We'll protect ourselves." Sheila explained to Stefan referring to her powers.
"We need to let him have Danielle back. He's not going to stop until he gets her. If we help him, maybe that ends it." Elena stated.
"No! He doesn't deserve to get what he wants." Bonnie said to Elena.
"Let's not forget about Katherine. Danielle will refuse to leave without her sister and Damon would do anything for Danielle." Elena stated.
"No. Damon doesn't deserve anything." Bonnie stated once again.
"What other choice do we have?" Elena asked looking up to Stefan.
"Witches being pulled down by vampire problems. As much as we tried to do to stay out of it. I'll open the tomb. You get your brother's girl and her sister and then destroy the rest of them with fire. Then this will be all over." Sheila suggested to Stefan.
"We still have to get Damon to agree." Stefan said to them.
"He already agreed once." Elena remembered him.
"Yeah, and then we double crossed him. So now he's angry." Stefan said to her.
"He's hurt. There's a difference. I think I know what I have to do." Elena explained to her boyfriend and then exchanged a look with Stefan.
"What?" Bonnie asked her.
"I'm gonna talk to Eva to convince him into helping us." Elena stated.
"Are you crazy?" Bonnie and Sheila asked at the same time.
"Eva was the only one that who didn't double cross him." Stefan explained. "Maybe she is the only one he will listen." He finished.
"I'm gonna try but if I can't, she will." Elena agreed with Stefan.

After getting away from Anna and Ben, Eva went to the Boarding House to know how Damon was and to tell him he was okay. When he heard her heart beating he rushed to her and hugged tight. He really was so worried about her.
"Are you okay?" He asked her worried.
"I'm fine. Don't worry." Eva said to him kissing his cheek.
"I'm glad. So, you still gonna help me?" He asked her.
"Of course. Don't worry." Eva told him smiling and then she sited down. Picked up the Grimoire and started to read. Later, Damon joined her on the couch.
Motel Room
Anna and Ben
Anna walked back up to the motel room after her conversation with Damon. She saw that the door was wide open and the girls had escaped.
"You've got to be kidding me." She said and walked in. She started to look over at Ben, that was still crouched between the two beds with his hoodie over is head.
"It was Stefan. There was nothing I could…" Ben started to explain but Anna didn't want to hear anything he was going to say.
"Shut up! Stop talking." She ordered to him and rubbed her face with her hands and sited down on a chair beside the bed. "Without the witch, we don't have Damon or the Grimoire. Damon's not gonna stop. He'll find a way in. And we're gonna be there when he does." Anna stated.

Living Room
Damon and Elena
Damon was putting on his jacket, preparing to leave to pick up Eva. She went home to take a shower and a change of clothes. He already had his keys on his hands when Elena entered the room and removed her scarf. Damon looked up at her.
"I'm gonna have to change the locks. You stage a jailbreak?" Damon asked sarcastically and picked up the Grimoire.
"Stefan." Elena stated knowing that her sister already had told him.
"Ah, brother. Ever the white knight." Damon said once again sarcastically.
"I convinced Bonnie to help you." Elena stated to him hoping that she wouldn't have to use Eva for that.
"I doubt that." Damon said knowing that a Bennett witch would never help him. Elena walked around the edge of the study towards the stairs, leading to the sunken part of the room where Damon was.
"I'm not gonna say that I'm sorry we got the Grimoire without you and Eva last night, because I'm not really." Elena stated using her sister's name too.
"Well, at least you're honest." Damon told her surprised that she was being honest with him for the first time.
"I was protecting the people I love, Damon, and my sister. But so were you, in your own, twisted way. And as hard as it is to figure, we're all on the same side, after the same thing." Elena stated and descended the stairs.
"Not interested." Damon said and started to leave.
"Yes you are, because you were willing to work with us yesterday." Elena stated to him when her sister got inside on the library.

"Fool me once, shame on you." Damon stated and looked at Eva. "Are you ready, Eva?" He asked her when he saw her.
"Yeah, I am." Eva said and started to descend the stairs too. "Hey, Lena."
"Hey, Eva. Are you okay? After everything?" Elena asked and when her sister nodded telling her yes, Elena turned to Damon. "Okay, when we were in Atlanta, why didn't you use your compulsion on me and on Eva?" She asked him trying to know.
Eva to Damon and gave him a kiss on the cheek. Damon placed the Grimoire on a table and walked towards Elena, crossing his arms. Eva was surprised at her sister asking that question to him.
"Who's to say I didn't?" Damon asked her looking straight at Elena.
"You didn't. I know you didn't compel me and my sister. But you could have. You and my sister... you have something. And us we have an understanding. And I know that my betrayal hurt you, different from how it is with you and Stefan, but I'm promising you this now, I will help you get Danielle back and of course, Katherine too because we know that Danielle would never leave her sister on the tomb." Elena stated with hope that he would accept her help.
"I wish I could believe you." Damon said groaning because he was unconvinced.
"Ask me if I'm lying now." Elena said unclasping her necklace, taking off and holding it in her hand, and showed it to Damon. Then she placed it in the table beside her and waited for the older Salvatore's answer.
"You know Anna won't stop, by the way, no matter what I do." Damon told her knowing that the little vampire wouldn't give up to save her mother.
"Then we'll deal with it." Elena told him seeing that he was accepting.
"I didn't compel you and Eva in Atlanta because we were having fun. I wanted it to be real." Damon picked up Elena's necklace and clasped it back on her neck. "I'm trusting in you. Don't make me regret it." Damon told her and walked away with Eva behind him and Elena watched them leave.

Eva and Damon were on his car on the way to the woods. She was still worried that Stefan and Elena were trying to deceive Damon once again.
"Do you believe in them?" Eva asked him.
"I don't know. I just know that I can trust you." Damon told her and looking up at her as he continued to drive. Eva simply nodded and they continued their way to the woods where the tomb was located.

Duke's Party
Damon and Eva
Eva and Damon arrived at the woods where the tomb was located. Elena was already there waiting for them. They saw over a dozen students drinking and chatting. Elena went to join them.
"The Duke party. I forgot. I hope they stay clear of the church." Elena stated worried about the humans.
"Your hope, not mine." Damon told her shrugging his shoulders. Eva and Elena exchanged looks.
"Let's go. The others are waiting for us." Eva told them when Matt and Caroline arrived to the party and walked up to them.

"Elena, Eva, hey!" Matt said to them.
"Elena! Eva! Oh my God, where have you been?" Caroline said and intertwined her fingers with Matt's. Elena acknowledged this action and smiled just like Eva.
"Long story, no time to tell it." Damon said grabbing Eva's hand and then Elena's arm for them to go.
"I wasn't talking to you." Caroline stated to him.
"Sure you were." Damon told her sarcastically.
"We haven't met. I'm Matt." Matt said and held out his hand for Damon to shake.
"Matt, there's a reason we haven't met." He told him and then turned to Elena. "You and I are going that way." Then he grabbed Elena's arm and Eva's hand. He started to drag Elena away with Eva holding his hand. Elena looked back at her friends as she was being pushed along.
"Ah, I'm sorry, guys." Elena said while being dragged.
"See you later, Matt and Care." Eva told them. Matt and Caroline were watching them leave with Damon.
Bonnie, Sheila and Stefan
Stefan climbed up from the tomb with a shovel in hand. They were preparing everything for the spell tonight.
"Cleared the debris away. Set the torches like you asked. We can get down now." He said placing the shovel against a rock. Some cans of gasoline were lying nearby and Bonnie looked at them.
"What is that?" Bonnie asked pointing at the cans.
"It's everything I need to destroy them." Stefan stated to her as an explanation and handed to Sheila a flashlight.
"Are you sure that Damon will come back with them?" Sheila asked Stefan and in that moment Damon and the girls entered in the tomb.

When Damon entered and whistled. Eva and Elena entered right behind him. Stefan and the Bennett's witches turned and looked at him.
"Brother. Witches." Damon addressed to them. Then he strides past them with the Grimoire in his hands. Elena and Eva went behind him. They didn't want another fight between the two brothers. Damon descended the stairs into the tomb. Elena walked over to Stefan while Eva was right beside Damon.
"Everything okay?" Stefan asked Elena worried.
"I just want to get this over with. Are we ready?" Elena asked Bonnie.
"I guess so." Bonnie said shrugging her shoulders and looked at her grandmother.
Duke's Party
Jeremy and Tyler
Tyler and another guy were engaging in a beer chugging contest. Tyler won and slammed his cup down on the ground. He still hadn't change. That was one of the reasons why Eva had broken up with him besides he had cheated on her. Jeremy had arrived at the party and saw that.
"Done!" Tyler said and spotted Jeremy. "I'll be right back." He said to his friend and walked over to Jeremy. "Hey man, uh, you got any weed?" Tyler asked him.
"Wait, you're kidding me, right? You act like a total dick every time we cross paths, and… and now you wanna party with me?" Jeremy asked him surprised.
"Lighten up, Gilbert. I'm just asking you a question." Tyler said to him.
"Look, I don't get you man." Jeremy started to say to him.
"It's a party. You're a partier. There's no need to psychoanalyze it." Tyler stated to Jeremy.
"I don't party anymore and even if I did, it wouldn't be with you." Jeremy stated to him.
"No problem. Carry on just standing there. By yourself. All alone. The enemy of fun things. Do you even have any friends?" Tyler said walking away after told him that when Jeremy turned around, Anna appeared suddenly behind him and startled Jeremy, who chuckled. "Thank God." He said after seeing her.

"Weird hello but, okay. What's the matter?" Anna asked him.
"Uh, nothing. Nothing, just..." Jeremy started while Anna crossed her arms over her chest and looked at him, unconvinced. "It's… nothing." Jeremy finally said.
"Come on, let's walk." Anna suggested to him and both of them walked off with their arms around each other.
In the Tomb
Bonnie, Damon, Elena, Eva, Sheila and Stefan
Sheila was lighting the torches. Bonnie stood next to her grandmother and Stefan, Damon and the twins were watching from the entrance.
"Air. Earth. Fire." Sheila started to say the earth elements.
"Water." Bonnie finished and held up a water bottle and her grandmother took it, sprinkling the water on the floor.
"That's it? Just water from the tap?" Elena asked surprised.
"As opposed to what?" Sheila asked her.
"I just figured maybe it would have to be blessed or mystical or something." Elena said shrugging her shoulders. Sheila looked up at Elena and smirked at her. Damon was beside Eva and pulled out two blood bags from Eva's bag and unraveled it.
"What's that?" Stefan asked him watching him.
"It's for Katherine and Danielle. Gotta have something to get them going. Unless your girl's offering a vein to tap." Damon said and looked back at Elena, who looked at him, not amused. Stefan sighed and Damon whispered his next sentence to him. "Admit it… you can't wait to get rid of me." He said to his brother.
"I can't wait to get rid of you." Stefan said chuckling at him.
"Hmm." Damon hummed.
"I hope you don't hurt Eva in the end." Stefan said whispering for only Damon to hear.
"She is my friend. She was there for me and I will always be there for her." Damon stated looking at his brother when they were interrupted by Bonnie.
"We're ready." Bonnie told them looking up at them from the ground.
The Woods
Anna and Jeremy
Jeremy was leaning against a tree. Anna was standing in front of him. They were talking about everything and about the party.
"This place is wild." Anna said surprised about this party.
"You kinda like dead people, huh?" Jeremy said jokingly.
"I'm strange, remember? You okay?" Anna asked him worried.
"Uh, yeah. Yeah. This place makes me think about someone." Jeremy explained to her.
"A dead someone?" Anna asked with curiosity lacing her voice.
"No, no, just... someone I used to know. So, uh, hey…" Jeremy told her and then chuckled. "We made it all of what, 37 minutes, in that party?" He said laughing.
"Not your scene?" Anna asked smiling and laughing.
"I'm not really sure what my scene is anymore. So what do you say? You, uh, you wanna be part of my non-scene?" Jeremy told her after pushing himself from the tree and into a standing position.
"I would happily be a part of your non-scene, except, uh, I'm leaving." Anna confessed to him.
"Wait, what?" Jeremy asked her surprised with what she said.
"Yeah. My mom and I are moving away." Anna explained to her.
"Oh. Uh- that's… that's a bummer." Jeremy said a little sad.
"Yeah?" Anna asked him nothing knowing what to say.
"Well, yeah." Jeremy continued saying the same thing.
"So, guess this is goodbye." Anna told him looking at him.
"I guess it is." Jeremy agreed and they lean into each other and kissed. In the end, Anna pulled away, her face transforming. Jeremy looked at her, alarmed and worried about her. "Anna, your face!" He said surprised.
"It's nothing." Anna said turning around.
"It didn't look like nothing." Jeremy said worried about her while Ben was coming behind him to hit him on the head.

Ben hit Jeremy from behind while he wasn't looking making him fall on the ground, unconscious.
"You didn't have to hit him that hard." Anna said to Ben sighing.
"Yes, I did." Ben told her pissed that she had kissed Jeremy.
"Grab him and let's go. I'm taking him to meet my mother." Anna stated.
Matt and Tyler
Matt was leaning against a tree with a beer in his hand. Tyler sneaked up and swiped the beer out of his hand. Tyler was almost drunk.
"Swoop!" Tyler said taking the drink from Matt.
"Hey!" Matt protested to his friend.
"Aah. Where's your date?" Tyler asked him about Caroline.
"Who knows?" Matt said sarcastically.
"Aww, is the honeymoon over already?" Tyler said making fun of them.
"Maybe." Matt told him not wanting to talk.
"After all that grief you gave me about liking her. I figured it would have lasted longer than five minutes." Tyler said to his friend.
"Look, I just… I don't know if I can do the whole public couple thing. She… she seems like she might be a little clingy." Matt explained to Tyler.
"Well, good. I need my boy single anyway." Tyler told him patting his arm when he saw Caroline coming towards them. "Ohh, incoming."

"Hey! There you are." Caroline said approaching them with a smile.
"Here I am." Matt said her.
"Yeah, well, I'm not drunk enough. So I'm just gonna go get another beer." Tyler told them and walked off.

"So..." Caroline started after Tyler left.
"So." Matt said too.
"I have another speech." Caroline stated to him.
"Okay." Matt said waiting for her to start.
"The hand thing, with Elena, it was lame. Well, I was lame. And, hey, your feelings for Elena aside, Damon was there, and he was always such a jerk to me. And I wanted to show off that I was with a good guy. So, anyway, I was lame. So, forgiven?" She explained to Matt what she was feeling.
"Yeah, of course. Yeah." Matt said to her smiling making her smile relieved.
In the Tomb
Bonnie, Damon, Elena, Eva, Sheila and Stefan
Bonnie and Sheila were reciting a spell, their eyes shut and hands interlocked. The boys and the girls were watching them chanting the spell.
"What are they saying?" Damon asked to the other three.
"Sounds Latin." Stefan told his brother.
"I don't think it's Latin." Elena told them and after a few seconds after the Bennett's witches chanting the spell, the torches flared up. Elena with a little fear grabbed Stefan's arm while Eva grabbed Damon's hand. "What's happening?" Elena asked once again with a little fear on her voice. Then the door of the tomb creaked open. Both witches stopped chanting and looked up.
"It worked!" Bonnie said surprised after seeing that the door of the tomb was open.
"Of course it worked." Sheila stated the obvious to her granddaughter.
"We have some fires to build." Damon said to his brother.
"I'm gonna go get the gasoline, I'll be right back." Stefan said to Elena while touching her shoulder gently. Elena nodded to her boyfriend and Stefan ascended the stairs out of the tomb.
Bonnie, Damon, Elena, Eva and Sheila
"You ready?" Damon asked Elena after looking from the witches to Elena.
"What?" Elena asked him surprised.
"You think I'm gonna go in there by myself so you can seal me in?" Damon asked looking up at Sheila and Bonnie. Then he grabbed Elena and turned to Eva. "Eva, you stay here okay?" He said to Eva with worry on his face.
"I will be fine. I'm gonna help Stefan and please, don't take Elena inside the tomb." Eva pleaded to Damon.
"I'm sorry but I'm protecting myself. But I will not hurt her I promise you." Damon promised to Eva looking into her eyes.
"Okay. And be careful, you and Elena." Eva told him looking into his eyes. Eva nodded once again and ascended the tomb to go to help Stefan with the gasoline.
Bonnie, Damon, Elena and Sheila
"Don't take her in. I'll bring the walls down." Sheila pleaded to him.
"You'll bring the walls down if I don't? You think I trust you?" Damon asked Sheila.
"As much as I trust you." Sheila stated to Damon.
"Enough. Both of you. Look, he needs leverage. He needs to know that you're not going to shut the door when he gets inside. I get it. I'll go." Elena stated and then turned to them once again. "He will not hurt me. If he does he will lose Eva's friendship and that's is important to him." Elena stated knowing that her sister was important to Damon more than anything.
"May I?" Damon asked Elena after grabbing a torch from the circle. Elena nodded at Sheila and Bonnie, to reassure them and followed Damon into the tomb.
Outside the Tomb
Ben, Eva and Stefan
Stefan ran over to the gasoline and started to gather the cans up. Then he hears Eva coming to help him. Suddenly, someone spoke to them.
"Dark down there?" Ben asked them. Both of them straighten up and looked at Ben while Eva saw that Jeremy was unconscious at Ben's feet.
"Thought I told you to leave." Stefan stated to him.
"I considered it. Then I thought, screw you." Ben said to him smirking.

"Hey, hero." Anna said and Stefan turned around and saw Anna grabbing Eva on the arm. "I'm going down there to get my mother and I'm going to take Eva with me. I bet Damon took your Elena and I'm taking Damon's Eva." Anna stated.
"I can't let you do that." Stefan told her.
"Well, Ben's about to make a main course out of Eva and Elena's little brother. So, you can stop me or him. Your choice." Anna told him and used her vampire speed into the tomb taking Eva with her.
Inside the Tomb
Damon and Elena
Damon and Elena were down in the tomb, searching for Danielle and Katherine. They heard whispers throughout the tomb.
"What is that?!" Elena asked Damon surprised for hearing those whispers.
"They can sense you. Now, where is they?" Damon said o himself walking away and leaving Elena behind.
"Damon!" Elena called him.
In the Tomb
Anna, Bonnie, Eva and Sheila
Anna descended the stairs into the tomb. Bonnie looked over at her. She decided to stop her from getting inside the tomb but then she saw that Eva was with her.
"Hey, you're not going in there!" Bonnie tried to warn her.
"You think you can stop me?" Anna asked her sarcastically.
"Bonnie..." Sheila said warning her granddaughter. Bonnie stepped aside. Anna grabbed a flashlight from the ground and pushed Eva inside the tomb. Bonnie turned to her grandmother when she saw that Anna had disappeared inside with Eva.
"Why did you let her go in?" Bonnie asked her worried about Elena and Eva.
"Because she isn't coming out, baby. None of them are." Sheila said with assured voice.
Above the Tomb
Ben and Stefan
Stefan and Ben were in a tense conversation. Stefan was trying not to kill Ben after what he did and at the same time trying to safe Jeremy.
"Do you really think that she cares about you? Hm? You're disposable." Stefan told Ben knowing that his words could affect Ben.
"I don't care. She already gave me what I want." Ben said to Stefan because what he really wanted was to live forever.
"Are you going to say eternal life? You really that stupid?" Stefan asked him. Then Ben moved closer towards Stefan.
"You know, I've heard about you. You don't feed. You're not strong enough to beat me." Ben said rushing at Stefan. The Salvatore thrusts his arm and easily knocked Ben to the ground. Then Stefan picked up the hose connected to the gasoline can. Ben got up and looked at Stefan. "Is that all you got?" Ben asked him still convinced that he could defeat Stefan.
"No. I got this." Stefan told him and ignited the torch and set Ben on fire. Ben screamed and flailed around, before finally falling to the ground, dead.
Inside the Tomb
Anna and Eva
Anna and Eva were walking through the tomb looking for Anna's mother. Anna was behind Eva forcing to go first.
"Why do you hate us so much?" Eva asked Anna.
"Because it was a Gilbert that put my mother inside this tomb." Anna stated. "And, of course, it was Danielle and Katherine's obsession for the Salvatore Brothers that made the Council act against us." Anna finished.
"The other reason is because my Elena's face is Danielle and Katherine's face too." Eva concluded.
"Right, I can see at least one of you are the intelligent." Anna said sarcastically and pushed Eva once more to start walking again.
Elena
In another part of the tomb, Elena was still searching for Damon. She was looking at everything with fear running into her veins and her heart beating fast.
"Damon?" She whispered. "Damon!" She called again.
Elena continued to hear the whispering around her. She was really scared. Then startled, she fell but quickly got back up. Her flashlight beam landed on one of the mummified vampires. As she walked around the room, she saw more and more vampires. With panicked, Elena fell down next to another one of the mummified vampires, her beam landed on him and she gasped in shock. The vampire's eyes opened and they were bloodshot with hunger. Elena screamed loudly and got up, looking around for an exit, she really needed to get out of there. Her flashlight landed on Anna who was standing right behind her with Elena's twin sister with her mouth covered.
Bonnie, Sheila and Stefan
Stefan walked back down into the tomb and started looking around for Elena and Eva, worried about them.
"Where's Elena? And Eva?" Stefan asked to the witches.
"Damon took Elena inside. And Anna took Eva too." Bonnie told him.
"What?!" Stefan said with his face more white than already was. Then he runs towards the entrance of the tomb. Sheila grabbed his arm.
"Stefan! If you go in there, you won't come out." Sheila stated to him.
"I know that Anna took Eva but Damon has Elena too. And if Anna hurts Eva, Damon is going to kill her and then Elena could get hurt too. I know my brother very well. And I will kill Anna if she hurts Elena." Stefan finished rating but remembered that Sheila stopped him to get inside. "What did you do?" He asked her.
"Opening the door didn't remove the seal, it just opened the door." Sheila explained to him about the spell.
"What's the seal?" Stefan asked still worried.
"Some seals keep vampires from entering. This one keeps them from coming out." The older witch explained to the vampire.
"Elena and Eva are humans. They can leave. Anna, Danielle and Katherine can't get out from the tomb. Damon can't get out too. You were never planning on breaking the spell, were you?" Stefan asked Sheila.
"I told you. I will protect my own. Elena and Eva can get out. That's all that matters right now." Sheila stated to Stefan.
Anna, Elena and Eva
Anna stepped towards Elena, shining her flashlight on her. When Elena turned around saw that Anna had her sister by the neck.
"You must have a taste for it. You scream and shriek and even bother to escape, but then you just come right back to it." Anna said sarcastically. Elena walked backwards and bumped into Pearl. Anna saw her mother and kneeled down next to her, caressing her arm. Elena in that moment went to her sister to see if she was alright. "Mother! Mother. Your boyfriend did this, you know." Anna turned to Elena.
"His father did." Elena defended Stefan.
"And Jonathan Gilbert." Anna stated while stood up and faced the twins. "I made a choice a long time ago that it would be Gilbert blood that brought her back to life. I had Jeremy all ready to go but..." Anna finished and both girls gasped. They both turned around and bolted from the room but Anna used her vampire speed and appeared in front of them. Then she grabbed Elena by the wrist and Eva by her arm. Then she bites Elena first on her wrist making both girls scream.
Ante-Chamber
Bonnie, Sheila and Stefan
When Stefan heard Elena and Eva's screams echo through the tomb, he dashed into the tomb. Bonnie chased after him to try to stop him.
"Stefan!" Bonnie called after him and when she went after him, Sheila blocked her from entered the tomb. "You can't just leave him in there, Grams!" Bonnie pleaded.
"He made his choice!" Sheila stated to her granddaughter.
"No. Here." Bonnie said and picked up the Grimoire and looked desperately at her granddaughter for help. "Just show me what to do. I'll do it." Bonnie pleaded with her once again.
"We are not strong enough. Even if we were able to bring the seal down, there's no guarantee that we could get it back up again." Sheila tried to explain to her again.
"You said it yourself many things could fuel a witch's power. Help me or I'll do it alone." Bonnie continued to plead to her grandmother.
Inside the Tomb
Anna, Elena, Eva and Stefan
Anna pushed Elena down on the ground, across Pearl's lap, and held Elena's wrist up to her mother's mouth. Then she tried the same with Eva's wrist while Elena struggled, but Pearl, smelling the blood, began to drink. Eva was still struggling to free herself and then her sister while she watched the woman drink her sister blood.
"No, please don't!" Elena pleaded.
"Anna please, let Elena go. Use me!" Eva pleaded to Anna, because she wanted to protect her sister like she always did when they were little.
"I'm gonna get you out." Anna told her mother.
"Let her go!" Stefan asked Anna when he ran in. When she didn't do what he asked her to do, he grabbed Anna and pushed her aside.
"No!" Anna screamed and Stefan grabbed both girls and pulled them up and pushing them towards to the exit.
"Go. Go. I'm right behind you both." He told the girls and both nodded and then started to run towards the exit.
Anna, Stefan and Pearl
Stefan blocked Anna from chasing down the girls, when she saw they were running from him.
"Anna." Pearl called her and Anna rushed to her mother's side, caressing her face and cried happily. "Annabelle." Pearl said once again weakly.
Outside the Tomb
Bonnie, Elena, Eva, Sheila and Stefan
Bonnie and Sheila were looking through the Grimoire when Elena and Eva exited the tomb. They looked back at the girls.
"Elena, Stefan..." Bonnie started to explain to her.
"He's right behind me." Elena told them. The witches looked at the entrance of the tomb. Elena turned around and saw Stefan standing in the doorway. Elena walked up to him, worried. Eva was in silence. She was worried sick about Damon.
"Stefan, what are you doing?" Elena asked Stefan worried that he didn't came out of the entrance of the tomb.
"It's gonna be okay. We'll fix it." Bonnie promised to Elena.
"What is it?" Elena asked them worried. Eva came close to her sister.
"I can't." Stefan said not knowing how explain to Elena.
"Can't? Can't what?" Eva asked this time because of effected Stefan would effect Damon too.
"The spell's still up. We can't get them out yet." Bonnie told her friends.
"You went in there not knowing if you could come back out?" Elena asked him surprised he would something like that. Stefan looked down, not answering. "Oh, my God." Elena said completely horrified with what he did.
"I heard you scream." Stefan said to her with a sad look.
"We can't leave him in there. We promised him. Both of us." Elena stated to Stefan remembering what they promised to Damon.
"Your brother decided to trust you this time. After a long time, Stefan. Please don't disappoint him." Eva pleaded to Stefan.
"I know." Stefan nodded his head.
"Even if we're able to break through the seal, we won't be able to hold it for long." The older witch told them. Stefan went back into the tomb to find Damon.
"Wait Stefan! I'm coming with you!" Eva said and prepared to leave but Elena grabbed her arm to stop her.
Bonnie, Elena, Eva and Sheila
"Eva please, don't go!" Elena pleaded with her twin sister.
"Please, Lena let me go!" Eva said to her sister pleading to with her eyes.
"No, Eva! I don't want you to get hurt!" Elena pleaded once again.
"I have to go, Lena! I love him!" Eva said to her sister. It was the first time she admited that she love Damon to herself and to the others.
"Eva…" Elena said without knowing what to say.
"Go!" Sheila said to Eva. "Maybe you are the only one that could make Damon turn into someone decent after everything he done over the years." Sheila said to her seeing something in Eva's soul.
"Thank you." Eva said and ran after Stefan.

Elena watched her sister running into the tomb to help Stefan bring Damon and she started to getting worried about them. She really wanted her sister and the Salvatore Brothers. She could see that Damon was different with Eva, maybe he was what Eva really needed to be beyond happy like Stefan is what herself needed. Then she heard Bonnie turned to her grandmother with questions eyes.
"Why did you let her go?" Bonnie asked her trying to know the reason just like Elena.
"Please, Sheila, tell us." Elena pleaded to her.
"I saw something that is growing between them. Damon Salvatore only needs to open his eyes to what is around him. That is what the spirits told me. Eva can be the salvation and the one to bring the humanity once again in Damon Salvatore's undead life." She finally said and Elena nodded but Bonnie thought it was a little difficult to believe in what her grandmother was saying.
Inside the Tomb
Damon, Eva and Stefan
Damon was still searching the tomb for Danielle and Katherine. Frustrated, he kicked the dirt on the floor.
"She's not here." Damon said to his brother referring about Danielle. Stefan walked up to Damon with Eva cautiously.
"Damon." Stefan called his brother.
"She's not here." Damon once again already hurt.
"What?" Stefan asked him surprised to hear his brother saying that. It was impossible for them not being there. He saw the humans in 1864 putting the Pierce twins inside the tomb. Then he saw his brother taking out the two blood bags.
"She's not here!" Damon yelled and thrown the blood bags at the wall. The blood splattered across it. The elder Salvatore looked at Stefan with anguish written all over his face. Eva went to him and grabbed his hand.
Outside the Tomb
Anna, Bonnie, Elena, Pearl and Sheila
Sheila and Bonnie were reciting the spell to lift the seal as Elena circled around them; she was so worried about them. The torches flared up and Elena looked towards the tomb to see if they were coming back.
"I think it is working." Elena said to them when they saw Anna exiting the tomb with Pearl, her mother, who was still weak.
"I just wanted my mother back. Jeremy's fine. He's outside. I won't touch him." Anna said to Elena and then she left with her mother. The torches once again started to falter.

The Bennett's witches were still chanting hoping that Stefan, Damon and Eva were coming out the tomb. Sheila continued encourage her granddaughter.
"Bonnie, keep going!" Sheila said to Bonnie and then turned to Elena. "They better hurry."
"Stefan, they can't hold it much longer!" Elena yelled into the tomb hoping that Stefan would have heard her. The torches extinguished themselves. Bonnie looked faint and Sheila didn't looked much better. Elena looked at tomb with worried eyes. She yelled once again into the tomb. "Hurry up, Stefan!"

Damon, Eva and Stefan
Stefan after hearing Elena's warnings tried to make Damon leave with him and with Eva from the tomb.
"Damon, we need to get out of here." Stefan pleaded with Damon.
"It doesn't make sense. They locked her inside." Damon explained to Stefan.
"If we don't leave now, we're not getting out." Stefan pleaded to his brother.
"Please, Damon, let's go. Then after we can understand what happened." Eva pleaded with Damon.
"How could she not be in here?" Damon said with hurt on his voice.
"It's not worth spending all of eternity down here. She's not worth it!" Stefan said to his brother hoping he would listen.
"No!" Damon said angrily and pushed Stefan away.
"Damon! Please." Eva begged to Damon. He looked at her and then both of them left the tomb.
Outside the Tomb
Bonnie and Sheila
Bonnie and Sheila were still chanting the spell to keep the seal down. Bonnie stopped for a moment, gasping for air and keeling over.
"Oh my God. I can't!" Bonnie said to her grandmother.
"Yes, you can." Sheila said encouraging her granddaughter. Then they continued chanting the spell. Damon exited the tomb first, followed by Eva, who turned around and embraced her sister and then Damon. Stefan went to Elena when he exited. The door to the tomb closed and the torches die out. Eva went to hug her sister once again because she saw how Elena was worried about her. Both brothers watched the twins hugging each other.
In the Woods
Duke's Party
Caroline and Matt
At the party in the woods, Caroline was talking with a group of friends and then she looked over at Matt, who was leaning against his truck and they smiled at each other. Caroline walked over to him after finished her conversation.
"Is this for real?" Matt asked hoping she would be truthful.
"Is what for real?" Caroline asked him not understanding his question.
"You being all cool and honest and open?" Matt asked her and Caroline stepped closer to Matt.
"Speech number three?" Caroline said almost laughing. "I want this to work. And I'm scared that you're gonna change your mind and you're not gonna want it. I don't want to mess it up." She told him honestly.
"I don't want to mess it up either." He told honestly and they placed their foreheads together.
Above the Tomb
Damon, Elena, Eva and Stefan
Stefan and Elena exited the tomb and ran over to Jeremy, who is waking up. Eva went after them to see if her little brother was okay.
"He's okay." Stefan told the girls and they kneeled down next to Jeremy, who groaned in pain on his head. "He's all right." Stefan told them once again.
Damon exited the tomb, looking completely miserable. Elena got up and walked towards him. She wrapped her arms around him and placed her head on his shoulder.
"I'm sorry." She told him and then left him alone. Then she nodded to her sister to come to Damon. He needed a friend right now. Eva went to him and both of them left into the direction of the Salvatore Boarding House.
Bennett's House
Bonnie and Sheila
Sheila walked unsteadily to her room. Bonnie gently grabbed her arms to guide her.
"Hey, let me help you." Bonnie said to her grandmother worried about her.
"Oh, I'm fine. You don't need to coddle me, baby." Sheila said to Bonnie.
"It was a big spell, Grams. I could tell it took a lot out of you." Bonnie said still worried about Sheila.
"I'll be fine." Sheila said to her and continued to walk unsteadily towards her bed as Bonnie looked with a look of worry on her face. The she decided go to the kitchen to make some tea to her grandmother to make her feel better.
Gilbert House
Jeremy's Room
Elena and Jeremy
Elena carries a glass of water and an Aspirin into Jeremy's room and handed it to him.
"How's your head?" Elena asked him worried.
"Uh… it's alright. I just... I wish I knew how I passed out. I didn't drink that much, I swear." Jeremy told her sister. "By the way where is Eva?" Jeremy asked her sister.
"She went with Damon. Something happened to him and he needed some help, but right now is you I'm worried about. And you don't remember anything?" Elena asked him.
"The whole things pretty cloudy. I just... I know how this looks. I'm… I'm sorry." He told his sister not remember anything.
"No, Jeremy, don't be sorry. You didn't do anything, okay?" Elena said reassuring her little brother.
"Yeah, okay." Jeremy nodded his head.
"I've got to head on over to Bonnie's for a little bit and Eva is going to Bonnie after leaving Damon's house but is there anything that you need?" Elena asked once again to her brother worriedly.
"No, I'm just... I'm gonna crash." Jeremy said to Elena.
"Okay, well, Jenna's here and I'll be back soon." She to Jeremy and left his room. He got up from his bed and went to his computer. He googled the word Vampire.
Motel Room
Anna, Damon and Pearl
Pearl and Anna went back to the motel room. Anna turned on the light and gets a shock when she saw Damon sitting in a chair in the corner of the room. Eva was waiting for Damon on his car.
"You knew Danielle wasn't in there." Damon stated.
"You wouldn't have helped me." Anna said to him. Damon not liking her answer, he used his vampire speed and grabbed Pearls by the throat. "No! No!" Anna pleaded to Damon to leave her mother alone.
"Why do you get a happy ending?" Damon asked completely hurt.
"Damon, please! You wouldn't have helped me, you know you wouldn't have!" Anna rushed to him. Damon grabbed a hold of Anna stopping her movements.
"Why do you get it and I don't?" He asked once again with hurt on his voice.
"The guard. The one at the church. The one who locked us in. Danielle promised to turn him. He was obsessed with the sisters. Danielle had him under her spell, like everybody else. He let them go." Pearl explained to him. The raven haired vampire released Anna and Pearl. Anna wrapped her arms around Pearl and looked up at Damon once again.
"Last I saw Danielle it was in Chicago with Katherine. 1983. She knew where you were Damon. She didn't care." Anna told him and Damon was utterly hurt by this new piece of information. "Sorry." Anna told him with a sad look while embraced her mother while Damon left the motel room.
Salvatore Boarding House

Damon and Eva
Damon and Eva arrived to the Boarding House after they left the motel room. Damon sited on the couch and looked at the fire while Eva sited beside and embraced him.
"Why did she this with me?" Damon asked her and looked at Eva.
"I'm sorry and I'm gonna tell this and I hope you don't kill me." Eva told him.
"I'm not gonna kill you because I always liked your honesty." Damon looked down at her brown eyes.
"Danielle didn't deserve you. You are an amazing man. If she didn't saw that when you're a human and now as a vampire, she really is a bitch." Eva said to him.
"Thank you for honesty. Can I please stay alone for a little time?" Damon asked her.
"Yes. I'm gonna head over to Sheila's house if you need anything call me okay? I will be here anytime." Eva told him and kissed his cheek. Damon got up and kissed her softly on the lips. "I know that there is something between us but you need sort everything in your head." Eva told him.
"I know and thank you." Damon said to her and he accompany her to the door.
Bennett's House
Living Room
Elena
Elena was at Bennett's house, talking on the phone with Stefan, who was at the Salvatore house. Eva was already on the way to meet her sister there.
"I just got to Bonnie's." Elena told him entering on the living room.
"Everything alright?" Stefan asked worried.
"Yeah. How's Damon? Is he gonna be okay?" Elena asked her boyfriend worried about Damon because of Eva.
"I don't know. Can I call you later?" Stefan asked her walking into the parlor.
"Yeah, of course." Elena said to him.
"By the way, Eva is on her way to meet you there." Stefan informed Elena.
"Alright, thank you." Elena told him and hanged up the phone.

Stefan walked into the parlor. Damon was sitting down, staring blankly at the fire. He sated down next to him. They sat together in silence.

Bonnie, Elena and Eva
Bonnie entered into her grandmother's room carrying a cup of tea for her.
"Here you go, Grams." Bonnie said placing the tea on the nightstand and pulled the covers over Sheila. She looked down at her grandmother and got the feeling that something was wrong. "Grams?" Bonnie asked sating down and started to shake Sheila for her to wake up. "Grams! Grams, wake up! Grams! Grams!" Bonnie called her sobbing. "Elena! Eva!" Both twins dashed into the room, looking worried. "Help! Wake up! She's not breathing! She's just not breathing! Please, wake up!" Bonnie pleaded to Sheila to wake up. Elena ran out of the room and grabbed the phone, dialing 911. The tanned girl got up as well.
"I'm gonna fix it! It's okay, I can fix this!" Bonnie went into the living room to grab something with Eva right behind her to stop her.
"Yes, I need an ambulance to Oak Street. It's an emergency, quick." Elena said into the phone. Bonnie grabbed the Grimoire and flipped through the pages trying to find a spell to bring Sheila back. Eva walked back into the room after her and gently grabbed Bonnie's shoulders.
"Bonnie... Bonnie." Eva started to try to stop her.
"No! No! I can fix it! Grams, I can fix this!" Bonnie said once again sobbing.
"Bonnie! Bonnie! Bonnie." Eva said pleading with her friend while Bonnie was sobbing on Eva's arms. Elena joined them on the room once again wrapping her arms around her sister and Bonnie trying to comfort their witch friend.
The Tomb
Unknown Vampire
Down in the tomb, the blood bags that Damon threw drips down from the wall. A vampire sat below the pool of blood on the wall and it dripped down towards him. The vampire drank both blood bags and then got up, opened the door of the tomb, and was able to walk out. He looked up at the ceiling, he was finally free.
