Chapter XVIII

Under Control

At the Salvatore Boarding House, Stefan was doing exercises in his bedroom. He was trying to get rid of the human blood from his system. Damon entered with a glass of blood in his hands.

"Could you turn it up a little bit? It's not annoying yet." Damon said to his brother sarcastically.

"Sorry." Stefan apologized.

"When are you going back to school?" Damon asked and switched off the music.

"Soon." Stefan said and continued doing some push-ups on the floor.

"Oh come on. Just drink already. Come on, this self-detox is not natural." Damon said to Stefan and put the glass next to his brother.

"Can you get that away from me please?" Stefan asked nicely to his brother about the glass of human blood.

"How long did it take you to wean yourself of it the last time you indulged?" Damon asked him while Stefan ignored him and continued to do the push-ups. "That's not good." Damon told him watching Stefan.

"I'll be fine; it just takes a little bit of time." Stefan explained to Damon.

"I don't get it; you know, you don't have to kill to survive. That's what blood banks are for. I haven't hunted in a human in… God way too long." Damon said to his brother remembering that Damon was drinking from blood bags and not humans.

"Oh, I'm impressed." Stefan said sarcastically.

"It's completely self-serving. I'm trying to get the town off the trail of vampires which is not very easy considering that there is an entire tomb of them running around." The older brother said to Stefan explaining his reasons why not hunting anymore.

"What are we planning on doing about that?" Stefan asked him because he wanted to get rid of the vampires to protect Elena and Eva from them.

"We are not going to do much of anything if you don't have your strength. There's nothing wrong with partaking in a healthy diet of human blood from a blood bank. You're not actually killing anyone." Damon said to Stefan trying to reason with him about drinking the human blood.

"I have my reasons." Stefan simply stated.

"Well, what are those holier than thou reasons? You know, we never actually discussed this. You know, I'd… I'd love to hear this story." Damon said to Stefan making fun of him and sat down on the couch to hear what Stefan had to say about the famous reasons his younger brother had.

"You're really enjoying this, aren't you? Watching me struggle?" Stefan asked already knowing how his brother acted.

"Very much so." Damon said smirking.

"I hate to break it to you Damon but… I actually have it under complete control." The younger Salvatore said with a sure voice.

"You do?" Damon said feigning a surprised look. "Well, then you should just carry on, making the rest of us vampires look bad." He continued sarcastically and got up from the couch. "Have a great day, Stefan." Damon said leaving the glass of blood on the table making Stefan stare at the glass when he was still struggling while his older returned to retrieve the glass. "Oh, hey, almost forgot something. Oops." Damon said once again sarcastically and took the glass and left. Damon drank and relished the taste of the human blood.

At the Gilbert House, Elena and Eva were about to walk out of the house. They were going to school and they were waiting for Jeremy to come.

"Come on Jeremy, going to school! Walking out the door now!" Elena called her brother to come.

"Forgot this." Jenna said giving Eva two thermos with coffee.

"Thank you." Elena said to her aunt.

"Yeah, aunt Jenna, you are a life saver." Eva said to Jenna and opened the door, she saw that her uncle John was there and that he was about to knock.

"Elena! Eva!" John said with a smile.

"Uncle John! Hi." Elena said surprised to see him there.

"Hi, Uncle John." Eva said with a little less of enthusiasm.

"Jenna." John said looking at Jenna.

"John, you made it." Jenna stated already knowing that John was coming to Mystic Falls in that day.

"I said I'll be here before noon." John said and entered in the house.

"Oh what you say and what you do are typically two very different things." Jenna said rolling her eyes when Jeremy came down the stairs.

"Uncle John, what's up?" Jeremy asked when he saw his uncle.

"Hey!" John said smiling seeing his nephew. Then Jeremy slapped him on the shoulder and left the house to go to school. "I had some business in town; I thought that a visit was in order." John explained why he was on the town to his nieces.

"How long are you staying?" Elena asked him interested.

"I don't know yet." He said looking up at Elena.

"Okay, well, I'm gonna go to school, I'll see you later." Elena said and left house and went to the car to wait for Eva.

"I'll see you later too. Bye Jenna, Uncle John." Eva said and left too while Jenna looked at her nieces and closed the door.

"So what's up with Jeremy?" John asked interested.

"He just lost a friend, so try to be sensitive." Jenna suggested to John hoping that he wouldn't do something stupid.

"I'm always sensitive." John replied laughing.

"Right, so really how long are you staying?" Jenna tried once again to get information from him.

"Can you at least pretend that you're happy to see me?" John said sarcastically.

"Oh my god John! It's so good to see you. How have you been?" She said joking and then she became serious again. "No, I can't."

"Do you really think that I was just gonna sign the papers and send them back?" John asked Jenna about the office she was going to rent or sell to Pearl.

"Actually I did." Jenna said to him.

"I'm not going to let you sell my brother's office." John stated like he had another plan for that.

"It's not up to you or me; it belongs to Jeremy and to the girls." Jenna stated to John trying to prove a point.

"Yeah but they're minors, so I get the final say, being that I'm the estate's trustee." John said trying to prove a point too.

Elena and Eva were already in the school walking through the hallway and Matt was in the middle and talking with them. They were talking about John coming back to the town. The twins, especially Eva, never liked of John, which in some way he treated them differently than Jeremy.

"He said his trip is open ended." Elena told him.

"Uncle John, I never really liked that guy." Matt told the girls remembering John from his childhood.

"Does anyone?" Elena asked sarcastically.

"I'm one of them. If you had seen his face when Dad told him that I was dating with Tyler at the time, the man looked he had won the lottery." Eva said to Matt.

"I'm here for moral support if you girls need me." Matt said giving his support to the girls.

"Thanks, I think Eva and I'll suffer this one alone; you've been through enough." Elena said to her friend and Eva agreed with her.

"Thank you by the way, for just… for everything you did at Vicki's funeral and the memorial. I couldn't have done it without you girls." Matt said and looked more at Elena when he had said that.

"Of course Matt." Elena nodded and after a long pause, they looked at each other. "So, was Caroline still baking for you guys, around the clock?" She asked him interested.

"She finally went to her dad, which is a good thing because my mom was going to strangle her if she dropped off one more lasagna." Matt said chuckling and closed his locker and both of them went to their classes.

Outside, on the school yard, Jeremy was sitting on a couch, listening to some music, when Tyler arrived and sat down next to him. Tyler looked at Jeremy and offered him a joint for Jeremy to smoke.

"Nah." Jeremy refused the joint.

"What's your problem?" Tyler asked surprised that Jeremy refused.

"I just don't want any." Jeremy told him.

"All right. They say she OD'ed." Tyler told Jeremy what he had heard from around.

"That's what I don't get, she was doing okay." Jeremy said surprised with what had happened.

"Apparently not." Tyler said to him.

"How did she end up buried in the woods? That's what I don't understand." Jeremy said with a sad expression.

"By whoever was with her when she OD'ed." Tyler suggested.

"Yeah but you leave her, you don't take the time to bury her." Jeremy said like he was suggesting that something different had happened.

"Maybe she saw something and… Hell man, I don't know." Tyler continued suggesting things too.

At the Founder's Hall, where the meetings for the council reunited, Damon arrived to join them for another meeting. The Sheriff was giving the news about Vicki's death given by the coroner's office.

"The coroner's office has officially ruled Vicki Donovan's death a drug overdose." She said to the Mayor. "Her family has been notified, the truth will stay in this room and we can put this behind us." The Sheriff said sighing.

"Thank you Sheriff. And on to a more pressing issue, John Gilbert has asked to say a few words." The Mayor said to the others members of the council. Damon hearing that became surprised because he didn't know that existed another Gilbert in town or that it was related to the twins. "Welcome back John, it's good to see you." The Mayor said turning to John Gilbert.

"Hello everyone, it's wonderful to see you, and I wish it were under better circumstances. As a founding family member I find it's my duty to report some very distressing news." John said to the members of the council.

"He's a Gilbert?" Damon asked secretly to the Sheriff.

"Eva and Elena's uncle. His name is John but I call him Jackass." The Sheriff said whispering to Damon.

"A hospital blood bank in the neighboring county of Amherst has reported several break ins over the past two weeks. Seven hunters, four campers and two states employees have been reported missing as well. All of this within a seventy seven mile radius of Mystic Falls." John started to talk with the members.

(Mayor Lockwood interrupts him)

"Okay, okay, no need to get alarmed right at this moment." The Mayor said interrupting John because he didn't want to put the others members of the council.

"Meaning he doesn't want to cancel the Founders' Day kickoff party." The Sheriff said whispering to Damon.

"You think all of your problems are over but I'm here to tell you, nothing's been solved." John said to the Mayor and Damon looked uncomfortable because that made him remember that he and his brother weren't off the hook.

After classes, Alaric was on his classroom with Elena and Eva. He was talking with them about some paper that Jeremy did.

"I made a copy of a paper Jeremy wrote for me. I think you should take a look at it." He said to them and gave the paper to Elena and she read the title, Fact or Fiction: The Truth about the Vampires in Mystic Falls and then passed to Eva for her to see too.

"Jeremy wrote this?" Elena asked him a little worried.

"He's very clear that he didn't think it was real." Alaric supplied to the girls.

"I really hope you're right because Eva and I've done so much to protect him from all of this." Elena said to him while Eva gave him back the paper.

"So, how do you deal with it?" Alaric asked the girls.

"What do you mean?" Elena asked Alaric not understanding what he meant.

"With all the lies and the secrets." He clarified the girls. "You have to lie to everyone who's important to you." He finished.

"It's not safe for them to know the truth. So, yes I keep it from them, but it's only because I love them." Elena explained to him.

"Yeah, I agree with Elena and now our brother is suffering with Vicki's death. She was turned into a vampire and tried to kill us, so was staked. Now we need to be sure that Jeremy doesn't know the truth." Eva explained to Alaric.

"I think Stefan is a good guy. But at the end of the day he's still a vampire." Alaric said after a long pause.

"I know it's hard to understand but Stefan is different. He would never do anything to hurt me." Elena assured to Alaric.

"But Damon is different from Stefan." Alaric said to Eva.

"I know but Damon would never hurt me. He can be an ass with everyone else but with me, he is different." Eva said to Alaric assuring him.

At the Gilbert House, John and Jeremy were in the kitchen eating and talking at the same time. Jenna was present too and listening what John was saying to Jeremy.

"I've no interest in the Founder's Day kickoff party." Jeremy stated to John.

"Sure you do, it's tradition." John said to Jeremy stating.

"It will be our role to break the tradition." Jenna said sarcastically but John ignored her.

"The Gilberts have been a part of this town for a hundred and fifty years. We're one of the founding families and with that distinction comes certain obligations including going to the party. One day, when you can appreciate the significance, I'll tell you all about your heritage." John explained to Jeremy and in some way talking about the vampires history.

"Hmm, the Gilbert family legacy. I forgot how sacred it was. I'm not a Gilbert so I was never cool enough to hear it." Jenna said to Jeremy sarcastically.

"Why does she hate you?" Jeremy asked to John interested.

"We used to sleep together." John stated to Jeremy.

"I'm standing right here." Jenna said and threw a bag at him.

Eva was on her bedroom with her songbook on her lap. She wanted to write some songs to sing on the Founder's Day kickoff party but still didn't know which songs would be she singing. Carol Lockwood had asked her to sing again and if she and Elena would try to the Miss Mystic Falls this year and she still didn't know if she would do it. Then a song came to her mind hoping that Damon would be there and would like that song, which showed in some way her relationship with him.

When she was starting to write another song she had heard Elena and Stefan talking on her sister room. So she decided to write another song about what she was feeling when Damon only saw the vampire that had turned him, Danielle in front of him. She wanted to be loved just he loved Danielle.

When she was ready to write another one, she heard a noise coming from Elena's room like it was a lamp breaking and she ran to her twin sister room and saw Stefan on the wall and Elena with a worried face.

"Lena, is everything okay?" Eva asked worried.

"Yeah, it is alright." Elena said and then asked to her sister. "Can you call Damon to ask him to come here? We need to talk with him." Elena stated and looked to Stefan, that never heard her girlfriend talk to her sister because he was fighting the blood lust he was feeling at the moment.

Elena was in her bedroom with Stefan talking about what had happened with the tomb vampires and about Jeremy's paper about vampires.

"Why would he write a report on vampires?" Elena wondered. "Do you think he's starting to remember?" Elena asked Stefan worried once again.

"Damon took away those memories for good, you don't have to worry about that. I tell you what, why don't you just ask him?" Stefan asked her too.

"I… I can't." Elena said with a hesitant voice.

"Why not? I mean if he doesn't know anything then it's just an innocent question." He suggested to Elena.

"I don't even know how to talk to him anymore. I mean, the three of us, used to be a lot more open with each other. But now, with all these secrets just piling up… You know, we haven't even told him that I and Eva are adopted yet." Elena explained to him.

Maybe it's time you and Eva start opening up to him. I'm not saying you should tell him everything but at least try to find out what he does know and be prepared for it." He once again suggested to her.

"What about you, how are you doing?" Elena asked him rubbing his shoulder.

"Much, much better. I'm still, you know… a little jittery, a little bit on edge but I'm gonna be okay." He explained to her hoping she would understand.

"I've been really worried about you and I missed you." She said looking up at his forest green eyes.

"I just needed to lay low for a little while and let my body readjust. It's only been a few days." He said to her with a smile.

"It feels like a lifetime." She said smiling and they kissed each other.

"I've missed you too." Stefan said to her and they started to kiss more passionately while he laid Elena down on the bed. Elena rolled over and laid on top of him. Stefan, somewhat aggressively, rolled her back over so he was on top. Then he stopped kissing her because he felt the lust coming back at full force.

"Stefan, what's wrong? Stefan?" Elena asked him worried. Then she saw his face starting transforming into a vampire. He threw himself against the wall, breaking a lamp in the process to protect Elena from himself. Then Elena heard her sister opening the door looking at her worried.

"Lena, is everything okay?" Eva asked worried.

"Yeah, it is alright." Elena said and then asked to her sister. "Can you call Damon to ask him to come here? We need to talk with him."

Later on, someone was knocking on the door. Elena opened it, it was Damon, that had come to the Gilbert house, because Eva called him.

"Oh good you're here." Eva stated to him.

"You ask I come. I'm easy like that." He said to Eva and she pointed upstairs. Damon, then turned to see Jeremy eating in the kitchen. "No Eva, I will not go to your bedroom with you." Damon said loudly and she caught his arm for him to shut up. He laughed and went upstairs with her. Jeremy looked at them, shaking his head. Eva and Damon entered Eva's bedroom, where Elena's was waiting for them.

"Ah, just like I remember." Damon said looking and messing around Eva's room.

"Stop messing around." Elena ordered him from her seat at the window.

"Did you know that your uncle has been kicking it with the Founder's Council?" Damon asked laying down on Eva's bed and taking the teddy bear with him.

"What?" Elena asked surprised.

"Yep." Damon popping the "p".

"I'm not surprised. You know how our uncle is." Eva said to Elena the obvious.

"Perfect, we'll just add it to the growing list of how everything is falling apart." Elena said with some worried voice.

"What happened right there?" Damon asked looking at the broken lamp that Elena took to Eva's room for anyone to see.

"Uh… nothing." She said uncomfortable and he looked at the twins.

"Lena, tell him or I will." Eva said to her sister glaring.

"Look Damon, I'm worried about Stefan. He says that everything's okay but he's clearly struggling. How long is it gonna take before he goes back to normal?" Elena asked him worried about Stefan.

"A few days. Give or take." Damon told her.

"It's been a few days." Elena stated.

"Give then, I don't know. What's the big deal?" Damon asked getting up and gave the teddy bear to Eva.

"He's not himself, Damon." Elena said to Damon while Damon went towards of a piece of furniture and opened the drawer and took a pick in it.

"Well, maybe his problem is that he has spent too long not being himself." Damon said again and took a black lacy bra from the drawer. Eva went to him and took it from him and put it back in the drawer.

"Please don't make me sorry for asking you." Elena pleaded to Damon.

"It is what it is Elena. The Stefan you know was good behavior Stefan, reigns it in Stefan, and fight against his nature into an annoying excessive level Stefan but if you think there isn't another part to this then you have not been paying attention." Damon said taking a picture of Eva and Elena from the mirror and Eva tried to take it back.

"He's not you, not even close." Elena said and took the picture back and gave it to her sister again for her to put it back in its place.

"Well, he doesn't want to be me. That doesn't mean that deep down that he's not." He said and got closer at her and then left. Eva looked and went after him.

At the front door, Damon was ready to leave when Eva called him. She wanted to talk with him about Stefan and Elena. Eva was worried about her sister and wanted to protect her from his brother if Stefan wasn't ready to be in crowds.

"Damon, wait!" Eva called him when he was already on the porch.

"Yeah?" He asked turning around to look at her.

"I'm sorry for my sister's attitude." Eva apologized to Damon.

"I know she doesn't like me but you know what I'm saying is true." Damon told her being honest with her.

"I know but we need to help him because I can stand see my sister getting hurt. Please understand that." Eva pleaded to Damon.

"I will try to help him but he needs to let me help him." Damon said to her.

"Okay, thank you." Eva said smiling at him.

"You welcome." He said kissing her cheek and then Eva turned around to get inside the house once again while watched her, he remembered something. "Hey, Eva!" Damon called her again.

"Yeah?" Eva said turning around to look at him.

"When you wanna have that date you won on the Bachelor Raffle?" Damon asked her smirking.

"Maybe at the Miss Mystic Falls." Eva told him. "I and Elena were supposed to be in the contest but I don't know if she wants to be in or not. I will tell you, okay?"

"Yeah. I will be waiting for your answer." Damon said smiling at her and finally Eva got inside the house and he got inside his Camaro.

At the Salvatore Boarding House, Stefan was looking for a book to read. He needed a distraction because he was stressed. Then he went to Damon's cabinet of drinks where he took some scotch and poured on a glass. He was drinking to make his cravings to slow down. He didn't know how much longer he wouldn't rip someone's head or kill someone. He really was stressed. Stefan needed some help but he had so much pride in him to ask Damon's help with this. Who wouldn't be the best to teach him the self-control he needed to have when it came to blood and he almost had hurt Elena with the lust he felt for her. He would never forgive himself if he had hurt her.

At the Gilbert house, the youngest of the siblings, Jeremy was on his bedroom preparing for the party when someone knocked on the door of his room. It was Elena and Eva, they wanted to talk with him about something. They were going to reveal him that they were adopted when they were born.

"Hey." Elena said to him from the doorway.

"What's up?" He asked his sister surprised that the two of them came to see him.

"Do you have some time to talk?" Eva asked him this time.

"Uh, yeah, sure." He said even more surprised.

"Not here. Come on; let's get out of the house." Elena suggested looking at her sister if she agreed with her.

"Yeah, let's go, Jer." Eva said nodding her head.

Elena and Eva were with Jeremy walking by a lake. They were telling him they were adopted by Miranda and Grayson Gilbert.

"I just can't believe mom and dad never told you, that you and Eva were adopted." He said surprised for knowing the truth now.

"I'm sure they would have eventually." Elena defended their parents.

"Now, we wanna know who are our biological parents because Miranda and Grayson will always be our parents, right Lena?" Eva asked to her sister while Elena nodded her head agreeing with Eva's statement.

"Why were you worried about what I thought?" Jeremy asked them with curiosity.

"Because… I don't know. It's weird. Going you're whole life thinking you're related by blood to someone." Elena tried to explain to her brother.

"In some way, we were afraid that you would stop treating us like sisters and…" Eva continued to explain.

"Does it bug you that we're not?" Jeremy asked to the girls.

"No, Jer… you're my brother, that's all that matters." Elena said making him smile.

"Yeah, Jer… you are our little brother forever." Eva said agreeing with Elena, making smile wider.

"So, Mr. Saltzman said you've been doing great in history now." Elena started to talk to him about the vampires.

"Yeah, yeah he's really been helping me out." He said smiling. "He gave me some extra credit and stuff." Jeremy said happy that his grades were getting better.

"He loved your vampire paper." Elena said making Eva finally understand her sister conversation.

"He even showed us the paper." Eva said to him.

"What drew you to that subject matter?" Elena asked with curiosity.

"I don't know, boredom or maybe I'm just as nuts as the long line of Gilbert's that were crazy." Jeremy said laughing.

"Gilberts aren't crazy." Elena defended her family name.

"Easy for you to say, you're not one." Jeremy said making both girls stop.

"Ouch." Both girls said and Elena hit him with shoulder, and then ran after her siblings.

At the Founder's Hall, was starting the Founder's Day kick-off party for the 150th anniversary. This party was being held on the Lockwood mansion like always. Damon and Stefan arrived at the party. Stefan was still nervous and the cravings were getting worse than before.

"Oh god! I shouldn't be here." Stefan said worried about being around the humans.

"Come on, don't be a downer, it's a party for the Founding Families! That would be us. That would be rude to skip it." Damon said smirking.

"I really liked you a whole lot better when you hated everybody." Stefan stated to his brother.

"Oh I still do. I just love that they love me." Damon said laughing and looked at his younger brother. "How are you feeling?" He asked worried.

"I'm good, I'm fine." Stefan stated hoping that his brother would leave alone.

"No cravings? No urges? Is that whiskey that you have been drinking all day doing its job?" Damon asked knowing what he was talking about while Stefan laughed. "We are who we are Stefan. Nothing's gonna change that." Damon said more seriously.

"Ah! Nothing will make you happier to just see me given up right, Damon?" Stefan asked his brother knowing his reasons for saying that.

"Whatever, it's inevitable." Damon said once again.

"Well, I'm gonna find Elena and Eva." Stefan said and left.

"Don't embarrass me young man!" Damon said joking and Stefan took a glass of whiskey and drank it.

The Mayor Lockwood and Tyler were talking with Matt and Kelly Donavan. It was about Vicki's death.

"I'm so glad you could join us tonight." The Mayor said to them and at the same time trying to get their votes for when came the elections.

"It was nice of you to reach out to us." Kelly said with a sad tone.

"This town is one big family and when we lose a member we all have to come together." The Mayor said and took their hands. "Matt." He said to the young boy that it was his son best friend.

"Mayor." Matt nodded and the Mayor looked at his son and left with Tyler following him out the room too.

"Well I guess dead kid rates a special greeting from the mayor, huh?" Kelly said talking about her daughter.

"God, mom!" Matt said surprised that his mother said that about Vicki.

"I need a drink." Kelly said getting up and leaving the room.

"Check it out!" Tyler said getting inside of the room with a bottle of alcohol.

"Your dad is going to beat you down if he catches you." Matt stated to him knowing how Tyler's was.

"Yeah. Let him try." Tyler said sarcastically.

"Screw it." Matt said taking the bottle from his friend and drank it.

Stefan was at the bar drinking when Elena arrived with Eva. He saw them, put the glass on the bar and waved at them. The oldest of the twins said that she was going to prepare herself with the band. Eva was going to sing that night.

"Hey!" Elena said smiling at him.

"Hey. How are you?" Stefan asked and kissed her on the cheek.

"Are you drunk?" Elena asked Stefan surprised that he was drunk.

"Okay, I know it's a little weird but it's really helping me. The alcohol takes the edge off." Stefan explained to her.

"You're totally that drunk high school guy at parties sneaking booze." Elena stated chuckling.

"I totally am yeah." Stefan said with slurred voice.

"How worried do I need to be?" Elena asked him worried.

"Oh no! You don't need to be worried. It's just until the cravings go away. Listen, I think we should enjoy it while it lasts. Would you like to dance with me?" Stefan asked Elena giving his hand to her.

"You hate dancing. I usually have to beg you." Elena said surprised.

"No, no, no you have to beg the sober me. The drunk me there is no begging necessary." Stefan said to her.

"There's really no one dancing." She said looking at the dance floor.

"That's because they need something better to dance to. I'll be right back." Stefan said leaving to talk with the DJ when Kelly arrived.

"Yeah… That's not gonna work. I already tried to bribe the guy with 20 bucks and a date. He said Carol Lockwood has complete control over the music choices." Kelly said sitting at the bar.

"You'd be surprised what Stefan can accomplish when he puts his mind to it." Elena said looking at Stefan while he was compelling the DJ.

"Thank God!" Kelly said when the music changed and went to dance with Stefan.

"Have I entered an alternative universe where Stefan is fun?" Damon asked when joined Elena at the bar and looked at Stefan.

"Is he gonna be okay?" Elena asked him once again worried about her boyfriend.

"Eventually. One way or another." Damon told her and they looked each other, and then they continue watching Stefan.

"I'm surprised is that Carol still didn't present Eva." Elena said out loud.

"What do you mean?" Damon asked interested.

"Eva is going to sing today." Elena said smiling at Damon knowing that her sister someday would be a great singer and famous.

The guests were dancing to the songs that the DJ had chosen when he stopped because Carol Lockwood went to speak to present Eva Gilbert, that she was singing to everyone for them for the first time on the events that belonged to the Founding Families. When Stefan stopped to dance, he went to join his brother and Elena at the bar.

"Hello, everyone. Welcome to the Founder's Day Party." Carol started. "Now, before delays we have with us, Eva Gilbert, one member of the Founding Families, that is going to sing for all of us." Carol finished and everyone started to clap when Eva joined her on the makeshift of stage that they created. "Now, I will leave you with her." Carol said and left the stage.

Eva said and turned to the band, whose started to play. Eva started to sing and looked around for her family and friends. Damon was watching Eva singing this song completely mesmerized and surprised by that song, which he never thought that Eva would write a song like that. He started to look around and everyone, especially John Gilbert had his mouth open. Then everyone started to clap after Eva finished. Then she stepped out of the stage and went to her sister to know what she had thought about the song.

Elena and Jenna were laughing together after a joke that they had heard and about the new song Eva had showed to everyone when Eva joined them because she was on her break. Then Elena saw Alaric around the party.

"History teacher three o'clock." Elena said to Jenna, for her to get ready.

"How do I look?" Jenna asked them.

"Beautiful." Elena said to her smiling.

"Like always, Aunt Jenna." Eva completed smiling when Alaric joined them.

"I was looking for you." Alaric said to Jenna.

"Here I am. I haven't seen you in a while." Jenna said to him.

"Well uh…" He started but looked at the girls. "Things have been a little crazy but I'm here now. Do you want to get a drink?" Alaric asked her.

"Sure." Jenna said smiling while she saw the girls leaving them alone.

"Okay." Alaric said and they both looked at the girls when Matt arrived.

"When did this happen?" Matt asked surprised.

"DJ had a change of heart." Elena said to him chuckling.

"Do you want to dance?" Matt asked Elena.

"I don't know." Elena told him because she didn't want upset Caroline.

"Yes." Matt said and grabbed her hand.

"Matt!" Elena said laughing and he catch her waist and made her dance with him leaving a laughing Eva watching the two of them.

Damon was walking around the party and looking for Eva because he wanted to talk with her about the song she wrote, when he rejoined the Sheriff.

"You know I love a woman in uniform but I have to side with this one. You look… you look smashing." Damon said trying to flirt with the Sheriff.

"Thank you Damon. Cheers! I needed that. You know I had my doubts about you at first but like everyone else on the council you've won me over." She said laughing.

"Thanks Liz. It's really nice how welcoming the council has been. I like my life here in Mystic Falls. Starting to feel like home again." He said to her using his charms.

"Well, you're not gonna like what I have to tell you. Jonathan Gilbert's claims check out. Blood bank, the missing people, all of it's true. We might have a problem." The Sheriff said whispering the last part about the blood bank.

"Excuse me Sheriff. I was curious if there's been any more information about what happened to Vicki Donovan?" Jeremy asked the Sheriff when he arrived and interrupted her conversation between Damon and the Sheriff.

"It was an overdose, Jeremy." The Sheriff said to Jeremy.

"Yeah, but her body was buried. Somebody must have done that." Jeremy stated still trying to make her to tell him the truth. Damon was really uncomfortable hearing their conversation.

"We're aware of that. The investigation is ongoing but there's nothing more I can tell you at this time. I'm sorry." The Sheriff explained to Jeremy.

"It's okay." Jeremy said and left. Damon continued his conversation with the Sheriff and then decided to look for Eva or Elena to talk with them about Jeremy's questions about Vicki's death.

Stefan came to the bar and saw that Elena was dancing with Matt and they were laughing and having fun, so he went to Eva to dance with her. She was at the bar drinking a bottle of water to get ready for the next part of the songs she would be singing. Stefan pulled to the dance floor and joined Elena and Matt.

"I really liked the songs you sang, Eva." Stefan said a little drunk.

"Which ones?" Eva asked with curiosity.

"The two. You are a great song writer and singer." Stefan said smiling at her.

"Thanks Stefan." Eva said smiling while Elena and Matt continued to dance when Elena fell into Stefan and he turned to her. Eva then left them to talk and went to the bar to drink another water to prepare once again her voice.

"Please dance with your alcoholic vampire boyfriend." Stefan pleaded to Elena. When they were already dancing, Elena accidentally ran into a man.

"Wow! Watch it!" The man said aggressively to Elena.

"I'm sorry, my fault, I'm clumsy." Elena apologized to the man.

"Then get off the dance floor." The man said once again to her.

"Excuse me?" Elena said angry at the man for being impolite to her.

"That no way to talk to a lady." Stefan said not liking the way the man was talking with his girlfriend.

"Whatever." The man said and prepared to leave but Stefan caught his arm and compelling him to apologize to Elena.

"I think you need to apologize." Stefan compelled him.

"I'm sorry." The man said and tried to leave.

"Now say it like you mean it." Stefan said grabbing and compelling him again.

"I'm really, really sorry." The man said once again.

"Stefan, it's fine." Elena said to Stefan trying to stop him to make a scene.

"Now walk away." Stefan compelled him once again and pushed him away. When the man left, Elena touched Stefan's arm to calm him. "You alright?" He asked Elena touching his check while Elena nodded.

Eva was still on the bar looking around after she saw what happened on the dance floor with Stefan and Elena. The younger twin came to join Eva to talk with her.

"Hey, twin." Elena said smiling.

"Hey." Eva said smiling and turned serious to her sister. "I saw the show on the dance floor. Stefan is not okay." Eva stated to Elena.

"I know. But what am I supposed to do?" Elena asked Eva worried about her boyfriend.

"Maybe talk with Damon. Maybe he can help." Eva suggested to her sister.

"I don't know. I don't trust Damon." Elena stated to Eva.

"I understand, but what I'm trying to say is that Damon has the bloodlust and is used to the human blood around him and Stefan don't." Eva stated to her sister trying to make her understand her point of view.

"I'm sorry but I'm really worried about him." Elena said with a sad look on her face and Eva nodded looking at her.

Damon was at the bar when Elena joined him after coming back from the bathroom with her sister.

"Have you noticed what your brother has been up to?" Elena asked him after she sat down beside him.

"No, I have been too preoccupied with yours." Damon told her and Elena looked at him with a confused look. "Jeremy has been asking around questions to the Sherriff Forbes about Vicki Donovan's death." Damon explained to her.

"He knows that her death was ruled an overdose." Elena stated to him.

"Really?" Damon said giving her a look. "'Oh but Sheriff, someone buried her. Who would do that?'. I know! I know! Me!" Damon said sarcastically. "I mean I could compel him but he's wearing vervain." He suggested to her.

"No, I don't want you to compel him." Elena ordered to Damon.

"If he keeps asking questions…" Damon said in a way he had to compel again Jeremy.

"Damon, no, I'm serious. I'm not going to do that to him again. I'll handle it." Elena stated because she didn't to get Eva involved in that once again.

"Okay. Don't say I didn't warn you." Damon said taking a rose and giving to her. When she accepted the rose, they looked at each other and he left to look for Eva.

Damon was looking around the party for Eva. He wanted to talk with her about that song she had singed. It was awesome because it was a song that he never thought she would write. He really wanted to know if she liked have sex like that. Especially a night wild sex. Damon had imagined having that type of sex with Eva and he felt himself strange because he wanted Danielle not Eva. What's was wrong with him? When he turned around the room once again, he saw her talking with some guy and felt something inside him, watching her laughing with a guy that it wasn't him.

"Hello." Damon said when he approached them.

"Hello." The man said to Damon.

"Hey, Damon. How are you?" Eva asked him worried about the frown on his face.

"I'm fine. Can I talk with you?" Damon asked smiling at her.

"Yes, of course." Eva said smiling to Damon and then turned to the guy she was talking with. "I will talk with you tomorrow at school." The guy nodded and left them alone, then Eva turned to Damon. "What you wanna talk about?" She asked him.

"About those songs you singed." Damon said smirking remembering the last song about the wild sex. "And of course about your brother."

"What did my brother do this time?" Eva asked worried. "And what songs?" She asked surprised by is his question.

"Yes, your brother is questioning the autopsy made to Vicki." Damon started to explain to her.

"I will talk with him about that. And now, what about my songs?" Eva asked him looking him in the eye.

"That song, Gorilla, left me without words. When did you wrote her?" Damon asked her with curiosity.

"I think it was after we meet. It was after or first kiss, if I'm remembering correctly, but why are you asking me that?" Eva asked him surprised.

Kelly was finished with her drink and put the glass in a plant. Tyler, that was nearby watching the party, looked at her.

"I saw that." He told her coming to join her.

"Shh! We'll keep that between you and me." She said and then turned fully and look at him. "Where is the lady's room?" Kelly asked Tyler.

"This way, I'll show you." Tyler said to her getting up.

"Is that soda?" She asked him taking his glass from his hand and drank. "Vodka. Thank god!" She said happily.

Damon was on the balcony nursing a drink when John Gilbert joined him.

"Damon, right?" John asked him already knowing the raven haired man was a vampire.

"John." Damon nodded his head.

"We didn't get the chance to meet at the council meeting." John said trying to make a conversation with the vampire.

"Yeah. It's a pleasure. Are you enjoying the kick-off?" Damon asked him.

"Oh yeah. I forgot how much fun these small town celebrations can be." John said sarcastically to Damon.

"Yeah. When was the last time you were here?" Damon asked him trying to get information about him.

"Hasn't been that long, my brother's funeral. How long have you been in town?" John asked him.

"Oh, not long at all." Damon informed him.

"So what do you think Damon? You know this vampire problem is real, right? It's a potential blood bath." John told him in some way trying to make him to show his true self about being a vampire.

"I wouldn't overreact John." Damon told him already seeing the other man's intentions.

"Oh, I think it's like 1864 all over again, vampires running amok. I guess we're just gonna have to hunt them down, throw them in a church and burn them to ash." John said to Damon remembering what had happened in the past.

"That's the story, huh?" Damon said sarcastically.

"Part of the story, yeah." John agreed with Damon.

"Oh, there's more?" Damon asked because John made him curious about that.

"Oh, there's a lot more. See, it seems there was a tomb under the church, where vampires were hidden, waiting for someone to come along and set them free. But then you already knew that didn't you?" John asked him and Damon wasn't looking at him because he was uncomfortable. "I mean, you're the one that did it." John stated to him.

"And you're telling me this why?" Damon asked already prepared for anything.

"I just thought we get the introduction outs of the way." John said smirking.

"You know that I could rip your throat out before anyone would notice?" Damon said with a threatening voice.

"Yeah." John said knowing that would be true.

"Yeah, okay. But you probably ingest vervain so…" Damon stated the truth.

"Why don't you take a bite to find out?" John said smirking at Damon.

"It's not worth my time." Damon said smiling and already forming a plan. Then they looked at each other and smiled. The older Salvatore started to leave but he rushed so suddenly towards John, where he broke his neck and threw him off the balcony.

Jeremy was sitting on a couch with Eva. She was waiting for Elena to join them. The girls wanted to talk with him.

"Jer? I heard about your conversation with Sheriff Forbes." Elena started looking at him with a sad look.

"No one is trying to figure out what happened to her. They all want to believe that she OD'ED." Jeremy explained to his sisters.

"Jer, maybe it is true." Eva tried to say to him.

"The coroner's office confirmed it. If that's what they said happened then…" Elena tried to say to him too.

"Is that what you both believe?" Jeremy asked them.

"What do you think happened?" Elena asked him worried about his suspicions.

"I think somebody killed her and buried her body and I don't think we should write it off just 'cause it's easy." Jeremy said to his sister once again.

"Maybe it was a simple overdose, Jer." Eva tried to make him forget that Vicki's death had to do with something else.

"They're just doing what they can to move on." Elena tried once again explain to her little brother.

"The truth is the only thing that's gonna help people to move on." Jeremy stated to them.

"Jer, just let it go, okay? Whatever it was she's gone now." Elena said to him sighing.

"I didn't like her because of what she did, but we all need to move on, Jer." Eva said to his brother with a sad look.

"Whatever it was? So you don't think it was an overdose?" Jeremy asked them with a hopeful voice that they believed in him.

"Yes… I do." Elena said after a moment of hesitation.

"I believe it was an overdose." Eva stated because she didn't want Jeremy to know the truth about vampires.

"Is there something you're not telling me?" Jeremy asked them because he saw that both girls were uncomfortable talking about Vicki's death. "Why aren't you both looking at me?" He asked them.

"Stop it, that doesn't mean anything." Elena said defending herself and her twin sister.

"Yes. We are only trying to make you understand the truth." Eva said doing the same thing that Elena was doing, defending them.

"If there was something else you would tell me, right?" He asked them.

"Of course I would." Elena said after a long pause and Eva nodded her head. Jeremy looked at them with a suspicious look.

Kelly and Tyler were outside, where they were laughing and a little bit drunk.

"Oh god! I can't even walk." Kelly said to Tyler laughing.

"I know, me neither." He agreed with laughing too.

"Oh my god, Matt is going to kill me." Kelly said to Tyler remembering what she had promised to her son.

"He won't even notice. I think he's actually letting himself have some fun for once." He said to the mother of his best friend.

"Yeah, I know I just should be on my best behavior because of Vicki but I don't want to think about it. I can't, because if I do…" Kelly said remembering that her daughter was found dead.

"Yeah, I was a dick to her, I was really bad. That's what I hate is I can't make any of it right. It's like I don't deserve to even miss her." Tyler explained to Kelly.

"You're nice to talk to me. I don't have anyone to talk to." Kelly said touching him and they both look at each other for a long time.

"I don't have anyone to talk to either." Tyler said and got closer, smiling at each other.

Eva and Elena were talking about their conversation with Jeremy. They were worried about their little brother because the compulsion Damon did was becoming weak. Eva wanted to tell him the truth but Elena didn't want involve Jeremy in the middle of the supernatural, especially now with John here in town.

"I know what you mean. With Uncle John here is difficult." Eva agreed with Elena.

"We need to figure out something." Elena said to Eva too.

"We will talk later. I have to go to get ready for the next part of my songs." Eva said to Elena prepared to leave.

"Okay. Did you wrote the songs?" Elena asked her twin.

"Yeah, of course. Only originals." Eva said to her sister smiling.

"I know twin and good luck!" Elena said to her sister laughing after seeing leave to the stage on the other room, of the Lockwood mansion.

Elena was walking through the hallway, after Eva and her went to different way, when Matt came up to her.

"Who knew I've been missing all the fun at the Founder's parties?" Matt said to her with a smile.

"This is rare, believe me." Elena said chuckling at Matt's tone.

"Is it bad that I'm enjoying myself?" Matt asked her surprised with himself.

"No, it's great that you are enjoying yourself. Thanks for making me dance." Elena said to smiling.

"Hey, it's normal." Elena said to him because he never went to the Founder's Party and then embraced each other like old times.

"Air, I need some air. Come with me?" Matt invited her.

"Sure." Elena agreed after seeing Stefan drinking.

"You haven't seen my mom have you?" Matt asked her worried about his mother.

"No, not in a while." Elena said to him while she looked at Stefan once again.

When they got out, Elena saw Kelly and Tyler kissing each other.

"Oh my god." Elena said with a surprised look seeing them kissing while Matt rushed over to them and caught Tyler.

"What the hell are you doing man?" Matt said outraged by his friend attitude.

"Matt?!" Kelly asked surprised.

"Mom!" Matt screaming seeing that it was his mom that Tyler was kissing.

"Whoa dude calm down." Tyler said to Matt but he punched Tyler on his face. Then they began to fight and during that fight, they pushed Kelly on the floor. Tyler hit Matt repeatedly when Elena called for help.

"Matt! Stop it! Tyler! Stop it, you're hurting him! Somebody help us." Elena called someone for help when Alaric came. Alaric arrived and stopped Tyler from continuing punch Matt.

"What the hell is that?" Alaric asked still grabbing Tyler. Elena went to Matt to help him when the Mayor arrived after hearing Elena's cries for help.

"I'll take it from here; I'll take it from here." The Mayor said to Alaric and then turned himself to Tyler. "Are you hurt? Go get cleaned up its okay." He said to his son and Tyler left and then the Mayor turned to the people who saw everything. "Everything is fine. Come on everybody let's get back to the party let's go. Come on, have a good time!" The Mayor said to the people present.

"Are you okay?" Elena asked him worried about him because he was bleeding a lot.

"Where is she?" Matt asked Elena about his mother.

"I don't know. Put your head up." She told him and looked at his face.

Stefan was still drinking when Damon arrived and joined him.

"You want to hear the bad news or the really bad news?" Damon asked to his brother.

"Actually, I don't want any news Damon." Stefan stated to his brother.

"Alright, let me rephrase. Do you want to hear how the council is back in vampire mode or how I just killed Uncle John Gilbert?" Damon said changing tactics.

"What?" Stefan asked surprised to hear that.

"Great party by the way, huh?" Damon said smiling and left. Stefan got up and goes after him but stopped when saw Kelly.

He saw that Kelly was crying and bleeding from her forehead. He decided to approach her because of the scent of blood.

"Is everything alright?" Stefan asked worried.

"No. I ruined it, I always ruin it. What is wrong with me?" Kelly asked herself while Stefan got down on his knees and started at the blood that was coming out of Kelly's forehead. In a dazed look, he touched the blood on her forehead, Kelly worried turned to him. "What are you doing?"

"Uh, I'm sorry." Stefan said after coming around. Then he got up and left. When, Stefan is outside, he still has blood on his fingers, not resisting, he licked the blood off of his fingers.

When Damon left his brother alone, he went to see if he could to find one of the Gilbert twins to tell them what he had done. Then he finally found Eva in another room talking with the band. He knew that she was going to sing once again. He wanted to know the name of the songs before he would see her sing. He approached her silently.

"Hello, Miss Gilbert." Damon said on her ear.

"Ahh!" Eva yelled scared and then turned around to see that it was Damon. When she was fully turned to him, she slapped him on the arm. "You scared me, jackass." She said to him trying to sound mad at him. "What do you want?" She asked him when she had her heart beat more calm after the scare Damon had given her.

"I wanted to ask you if you were going to sing again?" Damon asked her smiling.

"Yeah, I going, why?" Eva asked him surprised by his question.

"I want to hear that new songs you wrote." Damon stated.

"I'm gonna sing right now. If you wanna hear, go close to the stage." Eva said smiling and went to the band organize the rest of the songs while Damon went close the stage to see Eva sing once again.

While Eva was finishing the preparations for the final songs, The Mayor went to the makeshift stage to present her once again.

"Now, before the speeches, we have another set of songs, singed by our lovely, Eva Gilbert, one member of the Founding Families." The Mayor finished presenting her while everyone clapped.

"Hello everyone, once again." She said laughing making everyone laugh too and waited for them to calm down, then turned to them once again. "I'm gonna sing another two songs, which I wrote too. When Eva started to sing the first part of the lyrics everyone started to pay attention to her, especially Damon. He was so entranced by her voice that he didn't even heard the end of the song. "This next song will be the last song of the night and I hope you like it just like the last one. Is called Kiss Me (A.N.: This song belongs to Ed Sheeran, I'm only using for my OC)." She finally said and the song started. When she started to sing she looked deeply into the icy blue eyes that belong to the older Salvatore brother just like he did the same, looking deeply into her brown doe eyes. They locked their eyes during the whole song.

In the end of the song, everyone was clapping with enthusiasm. Eva really had talent and would be a great singer if she decided to become professional. Damon was looking at her speechless after hearing the last song. He felt something so strong when he was hearing the song, like that if he and Eva kissed, he would be loved forever but he still didn't understand those feelings for her. Now, he discovered that after he had meet Eva Gilbert his humanity was on and no one had noticed, only her. Damon decided on that moment give a chance to him to be happy, and Eva could be that girl, the one who could give him everything he wanted, and what he only wanted was to be happy and really loved by someone.

"Ladies and gentleman, Eva Gilbert." The Mayor said taking the mic from Eva, that went to join Damon.

When Eva was already beside Damon, when he saw John Gilbert entering the room and waited to be called.

"You got to be kidding me." Damon said and Eva heard him.

"What?" Eva asked him not understanding and Damon told her to shut up and listen the Mayor that it was talking.

Thank you all for joining us tonight in just a few moments we will officially begin the countdown to our upcoming founders' day celebration and it's a very special one this year. The one hundred fiftieth birthday of our town and I would like to welcome back one of our town favorite's sons to do the honors of ringing our official charter bell. John Gilbert, would you please join me up here?" The Mayor said talking to the crowd while they clapped when John Gilbert joined the Mayor on the makeshift stage. Damon was looking at John.

"One hundred and fifty years of community, prosperity, family. We take care of each other, we look after each other, protect each other." He said looking at Damon and his niece that was looking strangely to them. "It's good to be home." He finally said when everyone started to clap at him.

"Look at his right hand." Damon said to Alaric after joined him with a surprised Eva.

"Who's?" Alaric asked not understanding.

"Towns favorite's son. Look at his ring." Damon told him while John was ringing the bell, he was wearing the same ring that Alaric was wearing too.

"Yeah, and that would be a big coincidence if he didn't just came back from the death 5 minutes ago. Where the hell did you get that ring?" Damon asked him trying to get more information.

"Isobel, my wife." Alaric answered.

"Who gave birth to Elena and Eva, under the medical care of the esteemed Dr. Grayson Gilbert, John's brother!" Damon said to him like it was obvious.

"Do you think John knew Isobel?" Alaric asked him while the three of them looked at John Gilbert.

"I think John knows a lot of things." Damon stated.

"Guys, my dad had one ring like that." Eva said to them.

"What?" Both of them asked her.

"I always saw him using that ring, all the time while I was growing up." Eva explained to them.

"What?" They asked again.

"Uncle John is using my dad's ring. He asked if he could have that ring because he said he had lost his and me and my siblings said he could have the ring." Eva explained to them once again.

"See, why I said that John knows a lot of things?" Damon said to Alaric making him agree with him.

"What is going on, guys?" Eva asked them but they were still looking at John.

Stefan was in the parking lot because he was leaving the party because of the blood lust he was feeling but he fell into the man he compelled earlier. The man pushed him because he didn't like being pushed on the floor.

"Sorry about that man. I really am terribly sorry." The man said sarcastically.

"You don't want to do this man." Stefan advised to the man already felling that he was on the edge to attack someone.

"I'm sorry about that too. All I can do is apologize. What's that about?" The man said once again.

"Get out of my way. Please." Stefan pleaded once again.

"No girl to show off for now? I see what how this is." The man said sarcastically and tried to hit Stefan but he caught the man's hand and pushed him on the floor while Stefan's face changed into a vampire. "What are you, man?" The man asked with fear on his face and voice.

Eva and Elena were talking about the last two songs that Eva had sing. Elena was very impressed and proud of her sister. Then Eva told her what she had discovered about Uncle John and his interest on their father's ring.

"Are you joking?" Elena asked her surprised.

"No, I'm not." Eva said to her in shock still.

"But needed to kill, John?" Elena asked her a little mad.

"You know how Damon is. Uncle John provoked him…" Eva implied.

"And Damon reacted the way we know." Elena stated the obvious. "And I'm still worried about Stefan."

"Go look for him and I'm gonna look for Damon and then we all can leave, okay?" Eva suggested to her sister and Elena left her alone.

When Jeremy arrived at the Gilbert's House, he went up the stairs and went into Elena's bedroom because he knew she had a journal where she put her thoughts on it while Eva put her thoughts on songs she would write. He started to look everywhere but he didn't find what he was looking for. He finally looked besides the painting Elena and on her vicinity, he found Elena's journal and began to read it.

At the parking lot, of the Lockwood mansion, Stefan was above the man looking up at him. The fear made the man be on the floor, unconscious. He left the place when he had heard Elena coming to look for him.

"Stefan? Stefan?" Elena called her boyfriend and when came close to the place where Stefan was with the man, she saw the man on the ground and ran over to him to try to help him. "Hey! Are you okay? What happened?" Elena asked worried.

"My arm. I lost my balance and fell. I'm clumsy." The man told her getting up.

Tyler was alone in a room when the Mayor arrived.

"Let's go." The Mayor ordered to him.

"Dad, I'm sorry." Tyler started to apologize to his father. "I don't even know what happened. I was drinking and… I lost control. I can't explain it." Tyler continued.

"That is the last time you ever embarrass this family." The Mayor said slapping his son on his face.

Eva was looking for Damon to ask him what he had thought of the songs she had sang before John's speech. She was still looking for him when she found him in the garden of the Lockwood Mansion.

"Hello, Mr. Salvatore." Eva said flirting with him.

"Hello to you too, Miss Gilbert." Damon said right back at her flirting too.

"So, what did you thought about the songs?" Eva asked him with curiosity.

"I like it. Especially the last one." Damon said looking into her brown eyes.

"Thanks, I'm glad you liked it." Eva told him looking into his icy blue eyes. Then they both went back inside once again and continued their conversation inside. Damon had his hand on her back while they were talking and laughing about something. "Damon, I have to go. Elena is waiting for me." Eva said to Damon smiling. They were getting close every time they were talking.

"Okay. Be careful." Damon pleaded with her worried about her.

"I will. See you tomorrow." She said kissing his check and then Damon kissed her forehead. He really was worried about her.

At the Donavan's house, Matt was packing his mother suitcase when she arrived from the Lockwood Mansion, where the party was thrown.

"What are you doing? Matt don't." Kelly asked her son worried about he was going to do and say.

"I can't do it anymore mom so just go alright? You've done it before. More times than I can count." Matt said disappointed with her.

"I'm not leaving you. Matty!" Kelly said yelling at him.

"Mom! Don't you get it? I'm better off without you." Matt screamed at her.

"No, tonight was… God, I'm so sorry. I know I failed you and I failed Vicki but I won't do it to you again. I promise I'll get it together." Kelly promised once again to Matt while crying.

Damon was still at the party with Alaric to start watching John. He was sure that John was preparing something. Then he saw John leaving the house. He and Alaric decided to follow him to confront John.

"Going somewhere?" Damon asked him sarcastically.

"I've never liked to be the last one to leave a party. It's too desperate. You're going to kill me again or you're gonna let Mr. Saltzman do your dirty work?" John asked already looking for trouble, because he knew perfectly that Damon would kill him again if necessary.

"Okay, you obviously know who I am." Alaric said with a surprised tone.

"I do. Alaric Saltzman, a high school history teacher with a secret." John said knowing everything about Alaric's past and present.

"Sure know a lot for someone who just got to town." Damon said sarcastically at him.

So, if you're planning on some clever high speed snatch ring vamp kill move, know that if I die, everything I know goes to the council including the fascinating little tale of the originals Salvatore brothers and their present day return to Mystic Falls." John said with a smirk to Damon, leaving him with a surprised look and not knowing what to say.

"How did you get that ring?" Alaric asked him already knowing the answer because Eva explained to them earlier.

"I had inherited one, my brother Gray had the other. This was his…" John explained showing them his ring. "And I wouldn't have given mine to Isobel if I had known she'd hand it over to another guy." John said sarcastically.

"So you did know her?" Damon asked trying to get more information.

"Who do you think send her your way when she wanted to become a vampire?" John asked him trying to know if he had informations too.

"You sent her?" Damon asked surprised.

"Guilty. Why, did you think someone else send her? Maybe Katherine Pierce?" John asked him smirking.

"So many questions. It was a pleasure meeting you, Rick. I've heard so much about you." John said to Ric and left. Damon and Alaric looked at each other and watched John leave the party.

At the Gilbert House, both girls and Jenna were walking up the stairs. They were talking about the Founder's events that were coming around that month.

"Not so excited that we have another month of these Founder's day events." Jenna commented to the girls.

"Tell me about it." Elena agreed with Jenna.

"And with Uncle John here, we are forced to go." Eva said and the other too agreed with her. Then Elena and Eva went into Jeremy's room.

"Are you okay?" Elena asked him after seeing his face.

"Fine." Jeremy told them.

"Are you sure?" Eva asked him worried.

"I'm fine Eva." He said to her sister harshly.

Eva and Elena left their brother's room and looked at each other at the hall. Jeremy was acting strange about something.

"What's up with him?" Eva asked Elena completely dumbfound with Jeremy's attitude towards them.

"I don't know. Maybe it is because of Vicki." Elena suggested to her twin sister.

"Vicki once again! I know she died and I never wanted that for her, but Jeremy is stopping from living once again because of her." Eva said to Elena trying to make her understand why she never liked it her with their little brother.

"I know and agree with you." Elena agreed with Eva.

"Okay. I'm a little tired, I'm gonna sleep, okay?" The oldest of the twins said.

"I'm too. Goodnight Eva." Elena said opening her bedroom door.

"Night, twin." Eva said entering her bedroom.

When Eva got inside her bedroom, when she heard her sister closing the door of the bathroom that connected the two rooms. Eva smiled knowing that Stefan must be with Elena, and for that, her sister didn't want disturb her with some noise coming for her room while she talked with Stefan. When she turned to her bed, she saw a figure sited on her bed. It was Damon.

"Damon? What are you doing here?" Eva asked while approached him.

"I wanted to know if you were alright and I wanted to tell some things about your uncle John." Damon stated to her.

"What is that John is up too?" Eva asked him and joined Damon on the bed.

"He knows that me and Stefan are vampires and that we are the Original Salvatore Brothers from 1864." Damon explained to her.

"So what are we gonna do?" Eva asked him worried about his safety.

"You are not going to do anything. Let me and Stefan and Alaric take of things. You and Elena stay put, do you hear me?" Damon said scolding Eva jokingly.

"Damon, I want to help somehow." Eva said with a scowl on her face.

"No. I don't want you in danger." Damon told her looking right into her brown eyes.

"Why?" Eva whined jokingly.

"Deal!" Damon told her smiling and started to lean into her just like Eva started to lean into him when they stared into each other eyes. The dark brown and the icy blue connect and then finally Damon kissed Eva on her lips. They continue kissing passionately, when Damon made Eva fall back on the bed making him stay on top of her. Eva start to take his jacket from his arms while Damon helped her doing it. When the jacket was off Damon took Eva's hip and pushed to be beside his left hip while they continued to kiss. They were giving into their attraction and feelings for each other, especially Damon because he was completely surrounded by Eva's and no one else, not even Danielle. He was almost taking Eva's top when they heard a noise coming from downstairs. They stopped kissing and looked at each other breathing heavily. "Someone is here. I have to go." Damon told her breathless.

"Okay. But we have to talk about this." Eva told him breathless too.

"I know. So tomorrow at the Boarding House?" Damon asked her smiling at her.

"Okay. Agreed. What time?" Eva asked him. She really wanted to know what was going on between them.

"Any time you want." Damon said kissing her check. "See you tomorrow." He said and went to the window to leave.

"See you tomorrow." Eva whispered knowing he would hear her. Then she went to the bathroom to take a shower and get ready for the bed. She was in complete awed with what had happened between her and Damon in the last minute. They had full make out session on her bed and if they didn't heard the noise downstairs maybe they had end up having sex? Eva was lost on her thoughts when she went to her room to get dressed to sleep when a song came to her head. It was about her attraction to Damon and her feelings. She went finished to get dressed and picked up her song book and pen. She started to scrabbling on the song book.

When she finished the song, Eva decided to name the song has Guilty (A.N.: This song belongs to Blue, I'm only using for my OC). She showed exactly what she was feeling if Damon didn't show her what he really feels for her. Then she switched off her bedside lamp and went to sleep.

When Elena entered into her bedroom, she saw that Stefan was in there waiting for her to come inside.

"Oh my god you scared me!" Elena said with her hand on her heart.

"Sorry. I'm sorry that I ran off earlier." Stefan said apologizing to his girlfriend for leaving the party and her alone.

"What happened? Is everything okay?" Elena asked him worried.

"Uh, no." Stefan told her feeling himself on the edge to start killing people all over again, like in the past.

"Talk to me." Elena told him closing the bathroom door that connected Eva bedroom with hers and then joined Stefan. "Stefan, tell me." She pleaded worried about him.

"I tried so hard to keep it together tonight and it was working, it was working but then Matt's mom, she got hurt and she was bleeding and I had her blood on my hands." He explained to her so worried that she would hate him.

"And then what happened?" Elena asked him with a worried look.

"And then that guy in the parking lot, I wanted to feed on him and it took everything inside of me not to do it." Stefan finished to explain everything that happened.

"But you didn't?" She asked him hoping that he wouldn't do that.

At the Salvatore Boarding House, Damon was on the couch, in front of the fire, with a glass on his hand thinking about what had happened on Eva's room. He really had feelings for the girl and they were starting to destroy what he felt or feels for Danielle because he could see that Eva would never do to him what Danielle did to him. While was still lost in his thoughts he heard his brother arriving.

"We have a problem Stefan and when I say problem I mean global crisis. It seems uncle John has…" Damon started to say to his brother but looking up at him, he could see that Stefan wasn't okay like he had showed during the day. "You don't look so good. It's different this time, isn't it? The need is too strong. Of course it would be after all these years." Damon said concluding. The he puts the glass of blood that he was drinking on the table and looked at his brother getting up. Then he touched Stefan's shoulder and looked at him. "Have a good night brother." Damon said leaving the living room when Stefan stared strongly at the glass. Finally losing the little control he had, Stefan took the glass and drank the blood.
