Chapter XIX
Miss Mystic Falls
At the parking lot of the Mystic Falls High School, Stefan was parking his car when Elena saw him and went to join him.
"Nice car." Elena said to him seeing the car that Stefan asked Matt to see what had.
"Thought it was a waste to leave it in the garage." Stefan told her smiling.
"I didn't know you were coming back today." She said smiling and they both kissed.
"You know, I woke up this morning and I was feeling great and I figured it was time for me to get back into things." Stefan stated to Elena, for her not to get worried.
"Does that mean you're okay now, with all the cravings?" Elena asked him worried.
"Yeah, I mean the worst part is over so… now all I want to do is just spend as much time with you as possible." Stefan explained to her.
"I'm okay with that." Elena smiled and they kissed each other.
"Hey, thank you for helping me get through the rough patch." Stefan thanked his girlfriend looking into her eyes.
"You're welcome." Elena said to him while they looked at each other. "We're gonna be late." She stated to him chuckling.
"Okay, uh, you know what? I'll catch up with you, I'm gonna grab my stuff. I'll be right behind you." Stefan told her hoping that she would believe her excuse and for him to check his trunk one more time.
"Okay." Elena agreed and left him. She was going to meet her sister on the lockers. She wanted to talk with her. When Stefan that Elena was far away, he went to his trunk and opened it. Inside were a lot of blood bags from the hospital. Then he grabbed his stuff and closed the trunk and went look for Elena.

At the Lockwood Mansion, where the Founder's Hall was located, Damon, John and the Sheriff Forbes were talking about something that happened the night before.
"There was a disturbance at the hospital blood bank last night; some of the supply was compromised." The Sheriff explained to both men.
"Compromised? You mean stolen?" Damon asked her surprised.
"We almost missed it. The inventory records were altered but when the night manager was questioned he had no recollection of changing them." The Sheriff explained the obvious, it was a vampire.
"Meaning that the vampire who stole the blood used mind control to hide the theft." He stated the obvious.
"I know what you meant." Damon said sarcastically looking at John.
"We wouldn't have noticed, if John had not alerted us to recent discrepancies in other hospital blood banks in the county." The Sheriff explained to them.
"How lucky for us, we have John." Damon said sarcastically once again looking up at John Gilbert.
"We're stepping up security at the hospital, giving the guard vervain to prevent this from happening again." The Sheriff said to them, naming the precautions they were doing now to prevent something like that again.
"Sheriff, may I offer a suggestion? Why don't Damon and I put our heads together? We can track down whoever is doing this." John suggested already forming a plan to destroy some vampires.
"Truthfully I can use the extra hands." The Sheriff accepted John idea of him and Damon get together to find the guilty vampire. "Is that something you would be willing to do?" She asked them.
"Well, of course, I mean if it'll help." Damon said smirking already forming a plan to take care of John.
"I think we could make a good team, don't you think Damon?" John asked smirking to looking at Damon.
"John, whatever I can do to help keep this town safe; even if it means spending time with you." Damon said sarcastically and looked at John smiling while John did the same.

By the lockers on the hallway Elena found her twin sister talking with a girl, who was with her on the music class. Eva was taking her books for the class she was going to have with her sister.
"Hey." Elena said coming closer to Eva.
"Hey, twin. Ready for class?" Eva asked her twin sister.
"Yeah, let's go." Elena said to her and both girls went to inside the classroom.
"So, how is Stefan?" Eva asked Elena worried about him.
"He seemed fine to me this morning." Elena said to her sister touched by her worry with Stefan again.
"I'm glad that he is alright." Eva said and sat down on a chair with Elena beside her.
"Me too." Elena agreed and then they both stop talking when Alaric got inside the classroom.

At Mystic Falls High School, the group of friends were on Alaric's classroom for the lesson of that day.
"Okay, this week we're gonna set outside our regular curriculum for a lesson in local history as we approach Founder's day. Apparently the community leaders feels it's more important than World War II, but hey what do I know?" Alaric said chuckling at his students.
"Sorry I'm late." Bonnie said interrupting him when she entered the classroom.
"Well, it looks like we will be at full occupancy today. Welcome home, Bonnie." Alaric said to her while Bonnie sat down and smiled at the twins. When she looked at Stefan her smile faded while Stefan smiled at her too. Bonnie tried not to look at them and turned her head. Both girls and Stefan didn't understand why Bonnie was doing that, leaving them looking between them.

At the Salvatore Boarding House, Damon was inside when someone rang the bell and when the older Salvatore went to open the door it was Anna, who wanted to talk with him and Stefan about what happened the last few days.
"I suppose that I should be grateful, you learned how to use the bell." Damon said sarcastically at her.
"I'm here on behalf of my mother." Anna explained while she entered inside the house.
"On behalf of or in spite of?" Damon asked her a little angry by what happened a few days before.
"I'm sorry about what the other vampires did to Stefan. Abducting him, torturing him. It wasn't supposed to go down like that." Anna explained again.
"You're playing house with half of a tomb of really pissed off vampires. What do you think was going to happen?" Damon asked her rhetorically.
"My mom is devastated; they tried to over throw her." Anna said again with a sad look remembering about her mother.
"Why isn't she here telling me this?" Damon asked her still pissed.
"She doesn't really do apologies." Anna stated to him.
"Well, it's a coincidence, 'cause I don't do forgiveness. Just run along. And if you're going continue playing house with these little vampires pets, you might wanna stop robbing the blood bank dry because they're onto it." Damon told her trying to make her understand that the council it was on their tail.
"I haven't been to the local blood bank in at least a week." Anna stated to him.
"Then it's one of your others." Damon told her not liking that those vampires were making the council noticing them again.
"The others are gone, Damon." Anna stated to him once again.
"Well, where did they go?" He asked her again.
"They weren't cut out for this town. After what happened with your brother, my mom kicked them out and they took off. It's just us and Harper now." Anna explained to Damon trying to make him understand.

At the hallway of the Mystic Falls High School, Bonnie was walking, reading some papers when Elena and Eva came running after her.
"Bonnie!" Elena called her when they reached her.
"Hey." Bonnie greeted the girls.
"Hey, I tried to grab you after class but you already taken off. How are you? How's your family?" Elena asked worried about her friend.
"We're dealing, it's been hard." Bonnie told her friends.
"We missed you Bon." Eva said to Bonnie hugging her.
"Yeah, everyone here really missed you." Elena agreed with Eva.
"Yeah, I just had so much to deal with after Grams' funeral and, honestly after you told me the tomb spell failed I just didn't really want to come back." Bonnie explained to her friends.
"I hope that you understand why I called… I wanted you to know before you came home." Elena explained to Bonnie.
"I told Elena it was better telling for you to be prepared for everything." Eva explained to Bonnie why they told her.
"I understand why. I just… shouldn't know." Bonnie said sighing leaving the girls looking at each other.
"I know it's been really hard…" Elena started when Caroline approached them and interrupted their conversation.
"Bonnie! Bonnie! Thank god you're home!" Caroline said smiling at the tanned girl and embraced her. "I know we talked everyday but I missed you." The blonde girl said that and made the Gilbert sisters upset. "How are you doing?" Caroline asked her worried.
"Better. Better. You know, glad to be back and trying to keep myself busy." Bonnie said to Caroline smiling.
"Well, I can help with that. Major wardrobe problem. You need to help me pick up the perfect dress for the Founder's court." Caroline said to Bonnie.
"The Founder's court? Did I miss something?" Elena asked her not remembering that it was the Miss Mystic Falls.
"The Founder's court! You know, Miss Mystic Falls. They announced it today and you, Eva and I are both on it." Caroline said to Elena like it was obvious.
"Oh my god! We signed up for that so long ago… I completely forgot." Elena said and looked at her sister hoping that she had forget too.
"I remembered it but I didn't tell you anything because I thought you remembered that we had signed up for that." Eva explained to her sister.
"So, are you dropping out then?" Caroline asked to the girls.
"We can't." Elena said looking at Bonnie.
"No?" Caroline asked disappointed that the girls still were going to be in the contest.
"Their mom is the one who wanted them to enter." Bonnie explained to Caroline.

At the Salvatore Boarding House, Stefan was back from the school when Damon walked up to him. He wanted to know if Stefan had stolen the blood from the hospital.
"How was school?" Damon asked him interested.
"Fine." Stefan said simply to him.
"Yeah? Same old, same old? Nothing new? No stories to bring home?" Damon asked his brother chuckling.
"You're making small talk, why?" Stefan said already with a suspicion that Damon was preparing something or after something.
"You seem awfully chipper lately, less doom and gloom, and a little more pep in you step." Damon stated to him.
"And you think it's because I drank human blood again." Stefan said the truth but hoped that Damon didn't have a clue.
"I don't want to brag but I would definitely take responsibility for this new and improved you." Damon said smirking at him.
"Well, I hate to burst your bubble but I'm clean." Stefan stated once again.
"Yeah, not possible." Damon stated almost certain that his brother was drinking the human blood again.
"Not only isn't possible but it is quite true." Stefan said glaring at Damon.
"Stefan, just be serious for a second. You spent the last century and a half being a poster child for Prozac and now you expect me to believe that this new you has nothing to do with human blood. Nothing." Damon stated to Stefan trying to make him to tell the truth, the real truth.
"I'm clean." Stefan said almost yelling.
"You're lying!" Damon said yelling at him.
"Believe what you want." Stefan stated and left the room while Damon looked at him with a suspicious look.

Elena was at home, in the kitchen opening the fridge and taking a bottle of water while she was on the phone with Stefan.
"I'm sorry for the short notice; I didn't even know that the contest was coming up much less that I would be in it." Elena explained to her boyfriend.
"I will be happy to escort you anyway." Stefan said smiling through the phone.
"My mom was really into this Founder's day stuff. She was even Miss Mystic in her day. I kind of want to do it for her." Elena continued to explain to Stefan.
"It'll be great, we'll have fun." Stefan said accepting Elena's invitation.
"Okay, I'll see you tomorrow, I love you." Elena said to him smiling.
"I love you too." Stefan said smiling and hanged up the phone.

After Stefan hanging up the phone he opened the cooler he had on his room with some blood bags from the hospital. The younger Salvatore stared at the blood bag that it was on his hands. Afraid that he wouldn't control himself, Stefan opened a drawer and hide the blood bag in it and left his room. When he is downstairs, Stefan decided go to the basement where he opened the refrigerator. It was where his older brother used to put the blood bags when he went to steal from the hospitals. Stefan saw that there were a lot of blood bags in it, he looked at the blood while Damon was looking at him in the shadows of the basement.
"Well, well, he's a liar and a thief. So, when were you gonna share?" Damon asked him sarcastically.
"Go ahead, help yourself." Stefan said to his brother already knowing that he couldn't hide the truth anymore.
"No, no, no I'm talking about the fact that you're a closest to a blood junkie." Damon stated to him knowing that his brother was almost close to lose it completely again.
"So, I'm drinking blood again. You're the one that shoved it on me, what's your problem? I have it under control." Stefan said already getting mad at Damon.
"Under control? You robbed the hospital!" Damon said to him pissed at Stefan because he was putting that at risk.
"So, what's your point?" Stefan asked him looking at him without a care.
"Fine, whatever man, drink up. Just remember, we're trying to keep a low profile. Why don't you just walk up to Sheriff Forbes and ask her to tap a vein?" Damon asked him sarcastically and pissed at him.
"Have my actions negatively impacted you?" Stefan mocked Damon. "I can't imagine what that must feel like." He said sarcastically.
"Yeah, what's Elena thinks about the new… you?" Damon asked him knowing that Elena didn't know the truth.
"Nothing's changed; I'm still the same person." Stefan said with conviction.
"Clearly." Damon said not believing a word that Stefan was saying.
"Elena doesn't need to know anything yet." Stefan stated to him.
"You've been off the human stuff for years, Stefan. If you're having trouble controlling…" Damon trailed off worried.
"I'm not having trouble." Stefan stated once again not wanting Damon's help on the control.
"Who do you think you're talking to? I know what it's like. That Jekyll and Hyde feeling, that switch, sometimes it goes off and you snap. Right now is not a good time for me to be worried about you snapping." Damon stated to him showing worry about his little brother.
"I know that it pains you to see this but I'm fine, okay? I'm fine." Stefan said and took a blood bag from the refrigerator. "So please, do me a favor and back off." Stefan warned Damon and closed the refrigerator and left Damon alone on the basement.

Still inside the basement, Damon watched his brother leave with the blood bag. He had to do something. Stefan wouldn't be able to control himself and while he was thinking his phone rang. When he picked up, he saw that it was Eva calling him.
"Hello, Miss Gilbert." Damon said flirting with her.
"Hello Mr. Salvatore. How are you?" She flirted right back at him. "Can we talk or you are busy?" She asked him.
"Yes, of course. I always will have time for you." Damon stated leaving the basement and going to the living room to pour a glass of bourbon.
"Remember that date you own me?" Eva said to him chuckling nervously.
"Yeah, what are you thinking?" Damon laughed seeing that she was nervous about that date.
"I signed up for the contest of Miss Mystic Falls and I wanted to know if you could escort me?" Eva asked him hoping he would say yes.
"Of course, I will. What I need to wear?" Damon asked her smiling.
"A tux, of course." Eva said laughing.
"Okay, count me in and anything else?" Damon asked her trying to imaging Eva's dress for the contest.
"No, nothing. Use a black tie." Eva instructed him.
"Black tie, huh? So that means your dress is black?" Damon asked her chuckling.
"Maybe it is, maybe it isn't." Eva teased him.
"Stop teasing, Miss Gilbert." Damon said chuckling at her.
"I will stop if you come to school to learn the dance." Eva asked him.
"I will be there. What time?" Damon asked her.
"After classes and again, thank you so much for doing this for me." Eva thanked him.
"You don't have to thank me. I owed it to you this date." Damon said smiling.
"I don't care. You are always there when I need your support. So thank you for being my friend." Eva said sincerely.
"No need to thank me. See you tomorrow." Damon said to her smiling before hanging up the phone call.
"See you tomorrow." Eva said to him smiling too and then hangs up the phone.

At the Lockwood Mansion, in the hall that belonged to the Founder's, Carol Lockwood and two woman were interviewing the girls that were on the Miss Mystic Falls pageant.
"This year's queen will have the special honor of taking stage at the one hundred fiftieth founder's day gala. Before we crown our winner, we'd like to get to know a bit more about each of you." Carol explained to the girls that were present.
"I'm on the Mystic Falls beautification comity and I volunteer at the poor soup kitchen." Caroline started to tell about herself.
"I recognize that I haven't been as involved this year that I used to be." Elena started to explain about her.
"This year has been difficult for me so that's why I haven't been so involved just the past years." Eva explained too.
"I implemented this year's go green campaign at school." Caroline continued.
"I've been distracted and I let a lot of things slide." Elena continued to explain.
"I know that I only sang on the kickoff party and in the others events I didn't sang like last year." Eva continued to give her explanation.
"I don't think it's wrong for me to win two years in a row." One of the girls that was selected said.
"I was surprised to have been selected since I'm not from one of the Founding Families." One of the girls, Amber, said to Carol.
"But I'm aware of what an honor this is for me to be here and I want you to know that I take it seriously." Elena finally said.
"And from now on, I will be participating in every event." Eva continued.
"I worked for the recycling program and I was in charge for the police's this year raffle." Caroline finished to explain.
"Just because my D.U.I. made my community service mandatory doesn't mean that I was any less committed." Another girl, Tina Fell, said to Carol.
"This was really important to my mother. She believed in community, family, honor and loyalty. It's the legacy she left for me and my sister." Elena finished.
"And I intend to fulfill." Eva finished what her sister was going to say.

At the Salvatore Boarding House, Damon went to the door because someone was ringing on the bell.
"Hey partner!" John said when Damon opened the door and invited himself to get inside the house.
"What do you want?" Damon asked him not liking John's visit.
"You haven't return any of my calls." John stated to him.
"Most people take that as a hint." Damon said sarcastically to him.
"Where do we start looking for vampires?" John asked him with interest.
"How do you act John? You obviously don't care about catching vampires, you're here talking to me." Damon said to him sarcastically.
"Actually, I care very much." John stated to him remembering his family.
"What Isobel say about that? I mean, considering that she is one." Damon asked him hoping to hit on a nerve.
"Isobel and I share a mutual interest. The original Jonathan Gilbert has an invention that was stolen by a vampire. That vampire was then burned alive in Fell's church, or so Jonathan thought and the invention was lost forever. But then the vampires weren't killed, were they? They were trapped and now they're free, thanks to you which means the invention is retrieval." John explained to Damon.
"What is it?" Damon asked him already having a interest in that information.
"The only thing that matters is that I want it back and you're going to help me if you want your secret safe." John blackmailed Damon.
"Why bring me into it John? I mean, I don't know what you are talking about much less who has it." Damon said to John the truth.
"Oh come on Damon! You were around back then, you know who these people are, what they look like. He was friendly with a woman who turned out to be a vampire. Her name was Pearl. Does that ring a bell?" John told him.
"I'm not playing anymore. Get out. Get out." Damon said to him after a long pause and with him remembering which vampire he was talking about.
"I beg your pardon?" John asked him surprised by his attitude.
"You know, I only entertain this whole blackmail scheme thing of yours because I thought that you and Isobel could lead me to Danielle but see, now I know you've no idea where Danielle is, because if you did you would know that Danielle and Katherine Pierce and Pearl were best friends. See, you don't know everything, do you John?" The raven vampire said smirking.
"I'll tell the entire council what you are." John threated Damon.
"Go for it! I'll kill every last one of them. Then I'll sever your hand, pull your ring off, and I'll kill you too. Do you understand that?" Damon stated to John.

Carol Lockwood was at the Mystic Falls High School with girls and their partners, teaching them the dance for the pageant they were in.
"Honor your partner. Stay focus, right hand around. Flirt with your eyes." Carol was giving the instructions and Damon and Eva were doing what they were supposed to while Elena and Stefan were laughing. "Left hand around." Carol continued to explain to the girls and their partners.
"This is ridiculous." Elena said to Stefan and both Damon and Eva heard her.
"I have to agree with you, twin." Eva said to Elena.
"Both hands." Carol said once again.
"You're only saying that because you don't know how to do it." Stefan to them.
"Exactly. We were there. We know how to do it, so follow our lead." Damon told them.
"Sorry. Only two of us was around when the dance was invented." Elena said to Stefan and Damon.
"Exactly, boys." Eva agreed with her sister.
"Ouch!" Stefan and Damon said at the same time. Then Stefan spanned Elena around and caught her in his arms.
"Woah!" Elena said surprised.
"No! No! There's no touching during this part. It's about the simple intimacy of the near touch. Very nice, Amber!" Carol said to Stefan and Elena after seeing them touching each other.
"Thank you, Mrs. Lockwood!" Amber said to Carol.
"If you ask me, the 'near touch' is overrated." Stefan stated to her smiling.
"You seem to be in a good mood." Elena commented to him.
"Is that a bad thing? Would you prefer me to be brooding and tortured?" Stefan asked her hoping that she wouldn't say yes.
"Hey, I'm not complaining." Elena said and moved closed towards him.
"Oh, no touching!" Stefan advised her and they went back to dancing the dance they had to do. Damon and Eva were dancing too.
"Your brother is less brooding and boring." Eva commented laughing.
"I know. I have to tell something." Damon said to her seriously.
"What is it?" Eva asked him already getting worried because the serious face Damon was doing.
"Stefan is once again on human stuff." Damon whispered to her for her only to hear.
"What?" Eva said surprised. "Maybe I should tell Elena." She suggested looking at Elena and Stefan dancing near them.
"Not yet. Let's wait, okay? To see what happens?" Damon asked her.
"Okay." Eva smiled at him and they continued to dance.

Caroline was on the hallway of the school with Bonnie talking about her possibilities of winning the title of Miss Mystic Falls.
"The Fell cousins don't have a shot and Amber Bradley is only on the court so the pageant doesn't look like its Founding Families only which of course it is. So that leaves Elena and Eva which totally has the sympathy vote since their parents died. How can I compete with that?" Caroline rambled on about that.
"Very nice, very sensitive." Bonnie said sarcastically to Caroline after what she said about the twins parents.
"Oh I'm sorry, this must sound really unimportant. In light of everything." Caroline said after remembering that Bonnie was still grieving about her grandmother's death.
"It's okay, I get it, you want to win." Bonnie said to her trying to see her side.
"Well, my grandmother was Miss Mystic and both of my aunts. My mom is the only one who didn't get the gene and I want this. I actually deserve this." Caroline stated to her friend and they entered the room were the dancing classes were occurring when the Salvatore brothers and the Gilbert twins were leaving.
"Bonnie. Hey." Elena said to her friend.
"Hey, how are you?" Stefan asked her but she didn't answered and both of them saw that maybe there was a problem.
"I begged Bonnie to fill in for Matt, he had to work today." Caroline explained to them why Bonnie was there.
"Bonnie, do you have a minute?" Elena asked her looking at her.
"We only have 30 minutes for rehearsal." Bonnie said giving an excuse.
"It'll only take a minute, please?" Elena pleaded to her friend. When they walk out of the room Elena turned to her sister. "Are you coming Eva?"
"Yeah." She said and turned to Damon and Stefan. "See you guys later." Eva said kissing Damon and Stefan's cheek.
"Bonnie, you have to tell us what's wrong." Elena pleaded to her friend when they were out of earshot.
"It's not worth talking about." Bonnie stated to them.
"What do you mean not worth it? You barely said ten words to me and you won't even look at Stefan. Is that what it is? Is it Stefan?" Elena pleaded to her.
"Come on, Bonnie, tell us. I know it is something. You didn't even talked to me, I understand if you don't like Damon, but I and Elena, we are your friends." Eva pleaded with her too.
"Listen, girls, I can't just pretend that everything's okay. Everything my Grams did was to protect us from those vampires in the tomb. And now they're out which means she died for nothing." Bonnie finally said what she was really feeling.
"I'm so sorry Bonnie. What can I do to make it better?" Elena asked her with a frown on her forehead.
"And me? Please Bonnie." Eva pleaded with sorrow on her voice.
"That's just did, there's nothing you can do. I blame him, girls, him and Damon and I'm not gonna put you both, in a situation where you have to choose sides. I'm just having a hard time with it, okay?" Bonnie said to her friends and then left them. Damon and Stefan were listening their conversation.

After hearing the conversation that Eva and Elena had with Bonnie, Damon decided to leave and go to the Boarding House to prepare for the pageant while Stefan was waiting for the girls. When he was walking across the campus, Stefan went to the basketball court where some students were playing. One of the players got injured and was bleeding. Stefan tensed up and couldn't turn away from the scene. Alaric that was approaching him decided to touch his shoulder to see if he was alright. Stefan started to growl was and then looked at Alaric, recognizing him.
"Stefan! Are you okay?" Alaric asked him concerned.
"Yes, I'm sorry. I was just… I was feeling a little sick." Stefan said to Alaric leaving while the teacher watched him.

Elena was descending down the stairs, she had her dress in her arms. When someone knocked at the door, she went to open the door, just when Eva was coming down the stairs with her dress ready to leave and go to the Lockwood Mansion.
"Hey." Elena said to Alaric.
"Hello, Ric." Eva said to her teacher.
"Hi, girls." Alaric said to both of them.
"I heard you're driving." Elena commented to Alaric.
"Yeah I am. Let me get that for you, girls." Alaric said taking the dresses from them.
"Thanks." Elena thanked him while he entered the house and closed the door.
"Thank you, Ric." Eva said to him smiling.
"How… how is Stefan?" Alaric asked Elena worried about the young Salvatore. Eva turned to hear the conversation because she knew that he was drinking human blood once again.
"What do you mean?" Elena asked him already worried about him.
"You know, he seems on edge." Alaric said to Elena worried.
"He went through a lot, he was in bad shape for a while but he's bouncing back now, I hope." Elena said looking at Alaric when John arrived at the house.
"Alaric. Hey buddy, what are you doing here?" John asked him sarcastically.
"I'm the chauffeur." Alaric stated to him not liking John's tone.
"I thought I was driving." John said not knowing why he wouldn't take them to the pageant.
"No need, we're going with Rick." Jenna said coming down the stairs.
"Are we ready?" Elena asked Eva and Jenna.
"I am and you?" Eva asked Elena.
"I am, twin." Elena said smiling at her sister.
"I am too. Jeremy can ride with you." Jenna said to John.

When Anna arrived at the Lockwood Mansion, where the Miss Mystic Falls was going to be located, she went outside, when Damon joined her.
"In the running for Miss Mystic Falls?" Damon asked her sarcastically.
"Sometimes you have to wear uncomfortable heels to blend in. I remember this event from 1864, I was supposed to enter before everything happened." Anna commented to Damon remembering that time.
"Ah, nostalgia's a bitch." Damon said smirking.
"If you're just gonna mock me can you move along please?" Anna said to him glaring.
"John Gilbert thinks your mom stole an artifact from Jonathan senior, senior back in 1864." Damon explained to her.
"What are you, his errand boy?" Anna asked sarcastically.
"I don't know what it is but I don't want him to have it." Damon said simply at Anna.
"I could ask her but you know, you've made it pretty clear that you don't trust us so why should I even bother?" Anna said to him remembering him about what happened with Stefan.
"Because you want to stay in Mystic Falls and John Gilbert's in town, making that impossible. Find out where it is. He leaves, you can buy a welcome mat." Damon stated to her and then left her alone.

The girls were inside of a room where they were putting their make up on and preparing themselves for the pageant. Jenna was curling Elena's hair while Eva was putting her make-up and waiting for Jenna to help her too.
"Thanks for helping me." Elena thanked to Jenna.
"Yes, Jenna, thank you." Eva thanked her too.
"Don't thank me until you're sure your hair isn't gonna burn off." Jenna said laughing at Elena and then turned to Eva. "Next it is your turn."
"You know I remember when my mom and me and Eva were first applying for this, she was so excited." Elena said to Jenna.
"Yeah, I remember if it was yesterday." Eva commented too.
"So were you both if I recall." Jenna said smiling at the memory.
"We were. She just made it sound like so much fun. Lots has changed since then." The youngest of the twins said with a sad look on her face.
"That's why I miss mom in this moments." Eva said with the same look that Elena had on her face.
"I hate to break it to you, but it's a little late for cold feet." Jenna stated to the girls.
"I don't have cold feet. I just I think I'd be enjoying it a lot more if she was here." Elena said to Jenna.
"I know, twin, I know." Eva agreed with her twin sister.
"Well I tell you one thing, your hair would have a better chance if she was." Jenna said chuckling at her.
"Okay, I should go put my dress on." Elena said while Jenna turned to Eva to curl her hair too. "Be careful with that thing, don't hurt anybody." Elena said getting up and left the room. Caroline looked at her with a sad look.

Jeremy was outside, alone, John joined him. He was preparing something to tell his nephew about the Founding Families.
"You look miserable." John commented to his nephew.
"Are there really a whole month of these events that I'm supposed to show up at?" The younger Gilbert asked to his uncle.
"You could fight it if you want but it's part of being a Gilbert." John stated to him.
"Yeah, you mentioned you know a lot about the family. You know anything about our ancestor Jonathan Gilbert?" Jeremy asked him with a curious tone.
"Prolific writer, crazy inventor. Why do you ask?" John asked him with the same tone.
"Well, I read his journal." Jeremy confessed to him.
"Is that right?" John said surprised.
"Yeah, I actually found it in all dad's stuff." Jeremy explained him how he got the journal of their ancestors.
"Well, it's surprising. Most of them are locked away." John explained to Jeremy.
"There are more of them?" Jeremy asked surprised.
"Jonathan Gilbert wrote on journals his whole life. Right down to the bitter, insane, drunken end. He had a lot of demons." John explained to him once again.
"And did you read them?" Jeremy asked even more curious.
"I've browsed, yeah." John said to him.
"What did you think about what he wrote?" Jeremy asked to his uncle.
"Crazy ramblings of a mad man, of course." John said and when he turned his head he saw Anna. "She's very pretty." John commented and Anna looked at him, and with some fear she left.
"Yeah, uh she's a friend of mine. Excuse me." Jeremy said and left too.

Elena after entering a room to put her dress on, she saw that Amber was already there, she's nervous about the contest.
"Are you okay, Amber?" Elena asked her worried.
"I hate being the center of attention. I get panic attacks." Amber explained to Elena.
"Do you need some privacy so you can change?" Elena asked Amber with a worried look.
"Actually I'm just… I'm gonna go get some air." Amber said and left closing the door behind her. When Elena was taking her dress, she saw Damon and Eva in the mirror looking at her. Eva was still dressed with her robe.

"Hey, you can't be back here." Elena said to her sister and then to Damon because, he being an escort, he couldn't see the girl who he was taking.
"We need to talk." Damon stated to her.
"Does it have to be right now?" Elena asked with patience to hear her sister and Damon.
"It is important, Lena." Eva pleaded with her sister.
"Normally I would have a completely different outlook of what I'm about to tell you but since it could really inconvenience me, I'll squeal." Damon said sarcastically.
"Damon!" Eva scolded Damon for is lack of words.
"What are you two talking about?" Elena asked not understanding.
"Stefan's still drinking human blood." Damon stated looking very serious.
"What?!" Elena asked completely surprised at that.
"Yeah, a month ago I would have rejoiced but with the council back on the alert, it is not a good time for Stefan to fly off the handle." Damon explained to Elena.
"I know he's been a little edgy but he said that was normal." Elena said to him.
"Didn't you thought that it was strange?" Eva asked her worried about both brothers because of the council.
"He has a fridge full of stolen blood bank contraband in the house." Damon stated to her once again.
"Oh my god." Elena said siting down on the couch.
"He has no idea what normal is, his entire existence isn't normal. Normal to a vampire is drinking human blood but he spent all this time fighting it when he should have been learning to control it and now it's controlling him instead." Damon explained to both girls what Stefan was feeling while Eva was giving Elena some squeezes on her shoulder to show support.
"I can't believe this. I mean, it's Stefan that we're talking about here." Elena said not knowing what to believe.
"Stefan on human blood Elena; he'll do anything, he'll say anything because he's not gonna want to stop. Trust me." Damon said knowing full well how his brother was when the human blood was controlling him.

Jeremy was running after Anna after leaving his uncle alone outside. He wanted to talk with Anna about her turning him into a vampire and apologize for using her to get he wanted, which was, be a vampire.
"Anna!" He called her when he caught up with her.
"What is it?" Anna asked him with a sigh.
"Come on, don't be like that." Jeremy pleaded with her.
"Why not? You were basically using me to turn you into a vampire so you could be with someone else." Anna stated to him with hurt.
"No, I wasn't using you." Jeremy said to her.
"Really? And how would you like to define it?" Anna asked him sarcastically.
"Look, I don't think it's any worse than you becoming friends with me so you could give your mother my blood." Jeremy stated to her remembering when they meet.
"How do you know that?" Anna asked surprised that he knew the truth.
"It's not important." Jeremy said to her.
"Seriously Jeremy, what do you know?" Anna asked him surprised by everything he was saying.
"Everything, I know everything." Jeremy said to her and left after saying that.

Elena and Eva were still talking with Damon about what was happening with Stefan and his drinking problem with the human blood.
"This is all my fault; I'm the one who fed him the blood in the first place." Elena said feeling guilty about that.
"What's going on in here?" Stefan asked when entered the room.
"I was just filling Elena on your extra-curricular activities." Damon said looking seriously to his brother.
"What are you talking about?" Stefan asked laughing.
"I know about the blood, Stefan." Elena sated to Stefan.
"I'm uh… I'll be downstairs, drinking." Damon said and left the room with Eva following him after getting her dress but with her robe covering her for Damon not see the dress before the time.

Damon and Eva stopped in front of the door that was closed behind them. Eva was worried about Elena alone in that room with Stefan.
"Elena will be safe with Stefan in there?" Eva asked worried about her twin sister.
"Yeah, she will be. I will be hearing the conversation just for safety." Damon reassured Eva of that.
"Thank you." Eva thanked him for everything he has be doing for her and her family.
"Welcome." Damon told her sincerely and the his look turned mischievous. "Are you already dressed?" He asked wiggling his eyebrows.
"You have to wait and see." Eva said chuckling at him.
"Okay, okay. I will be downstairs waiting for you." Damon said descending the stairs when Carol Lockwood came to see if the girls were ready. Eva was already ready, she went inside to help her sister when Stefan got out of the room.

"I was going to tell you." Stefan told her smiling.
"When?" She asked him worried.
"I'm fine. I'm fine, the blood, it doesn't change anything." Stefan said to Elena with worry.
"It's changing you." Elena stated firmly at him.
"Why? Because I kept it a secret from you? Come on Elena, look, giving the way you're reacting right now, can you really blame me for doing that?" Stefan asked her because he thought that her reaction would be bad.
"Are you hearing yourself right now? You've been stealing blood and lying and you say that everything's fine? Everything's not fine, Stefan!" Elena yelled at him worried.
"So what… so you and Eva and Damon all of a sudden have everything figured out then?" Stefan asked a little pissed at her.
"It's not about Damon or Eva. It's about what's happening to you." Elena stated once again getting mad at him.
"I know and I'm telling you that I'm fine. I'm fine. Please, come on. Elena I thought you… I thought you believed in me." Stefan said to Elena disappointed when someone knocked on the door.
"Elena, let's go. The line up's starting." Carol said to Elena.
"I just… I need a minute." Elena said when Carol opened the door.
"You're not even dressed yet." Carol said to Elena and then turned to Stefan. "Escorts wait downstairs, Stefan." She said to him. Stefan nodded and looked at Elena, then he left to wait downstairs.

Stefan after leaving the room, he went into the bathroom and slammed the door. He put his fist into the mirror and broke it with rage that he was feeling in that moment. He was pissed at his brother for telling the truth to Elena.
"Oh God, sorry!" Amber said when she entered on the bathroom. Stefan's face started to change into his vampire face. When that happened, he went towards to the poor girl.

When Eva entered the room to help her sister, she saw that Elena was nervous and worried about her conversation with Stefan.
"Hey twin." Eva said smiling at her.
"Hey. Can you help me with my dress?" Elena asked her sister's help.

Downstairs, the escorts, The Mayor Lockwood and a crowd of people were waiting for the girls to come. Damon was looking around for his brother but he couldn't find him, he just hoped that he would come in time.
"Miss Tina Fell, escorted by Bartholomew Whitmore." The Mayor announced and Tine went down the stairs while upstairs Caroline and the Gilbert sisters were waiting.
"Has anyone seen Amber?" Carol asked the girls.
"Do you see Stefan down there?" Elena asked to the girls while looking down to see if Stefan was there waiting for her.
"Nope, just my boring fill in escort." Caroline said looking above the balcony.
"What happened to Matt?" Elena asked with interest.
"They wouldn't let him out of work. Wait, what happened to Stefan?" Caroline asked her with curiosity.
"I don't know, he just disappeared somewhere, I don't know. What am I doing? I never should have gone through with this." Elena said getting nervous.
"Lena, calm down." Eva tried to calm her sister down.
"What do you mean?" Caroline asked Elena worried about her.
"I need to find Stefan, this isn't me, I'm not this person anymore." Elena said trying to get away from there.
"Lena, don't you dare!" Eva warned her. "We are in this until the end." Eva said trying to stop Elena.
"No, no, no way, no. You had your chance to drop out and believe me I was all for it because there is no way that I could beat you. Elena, you're doing this because it was important to your mom." Caroline said to Elena setting her on straight.
"Miss Caroline Forbes and her escort Jeffrey Lockwood Hamilton." The mayor presented Caroline and then she looked at the girls and went down the stairs.
"Elena, you're next. Then it is you, Eva." Carol said to the twins.

Jeremy was still talking with Anna about everything. Then Anna heard something with her vampire hearing.
"You're missing Elena and Eva's introduction." Anna told him.
"I don't care." Jeremy said pissed at his sisters for lying to him.
"So, Elena has no idea you read her journal?" Anna asked him surprised he would do something like that to Elena or even Eva.
"She keeps things from me and I bet Eva keeps things from me too, I'm gonna keep things from them." Jeremy simply stated to Anna.
"What are you gonna do now? Now that you know everything that they have been hiding from you?" Anna asked him worried.
"I don't know. There's a part of me that's so angry, you know, that they covered up what happened to Vicki and erased my memory but there's also this other part of me that's glad. I… I don't want to remember Vicki like that." Jeremy explained softly at Anna hoping that she would understand his point of view.
"As a monster?" Anna asked him.
"No, as someone who wanted to hurt me." Jeremy finally concluded.
"When I met you, you were just a part of my plan to get my mother back but then things changed… All the time we spent together… I would never do anything to hurt you, not now. You know that right?" Anna explained to him her point of view.
"Yeah I know that." He said smiling at her but they didn't notice that John Gilbert was behind them hearing everything they were talking.

Stefan was in the parking lot with Amber. He compelled her and now he had her by the arm and was walking with her to his car.
"Where are we going?" Amber asked him scared for her life.
"I don't know." Stefan simply told her.
"I'm in the ceremony." Amber told him with fear in her voice.
"Not now you're not." Stefan said to her pushing her against his car. "You're standing in the parking lot with me." Stefan compelled her.
"I'm in the parking lot with you." Anna said in a monotone voice.
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm not very good to be around right now, I'm a little bit on the edge. I've been drinking the human stuff and it's really screwing with my head. She knows now. God! She wasn't supposed to found out, I didn't want her to found out, now everything's ruined." Stefan started to rambling on.
"You seem sad." Amber told him.
"I'm not sad. I'm freaking hungry!" Stefan said laughing.

Elena was upstairs waiting to be called by the Mayor. Eva was the last one to be called and was nervous too.
"Miss Elena Gilbert, escorted by Mister Stefan Salvatore." The Mayor called her. Elena started to descend the stairs but Stefan wasn't there, so one of the escorts stood on the line. It was David Fell. They went outside to join the others couples. "Oh, change of plans. Miss Elena Gilbert, escorted by Mister David Fell." The Mayor corrected after seeing another young man with Elena.

Eva being the last one, was a little more nervous. She could see that Stefan had disappeared and had to be one of the others escorts to accompany her sister. If Damon did something like that to her? She would kill him.
"Miss Eva Gilbert, escorted by Mister Damon Salvatore." The Mayor called and Eva started to descend the stairs. Damon went to the end of the stairs and Eva took his hand and smiled at him.
"Where is Stefan?" Eva asked him because she heard that Elena was being escorted by another person and not Stefan.
"I don't know." Damon said worried to. Then he took her hand and they joined the others girls and their escorts outside. Jenna and Alaric were outside and become surprised to see Eva with Damon.
"What is Eva doing with Damon?" Jenna asked Alaric.
"Eva called to ask him to be her escort for today." Alaric explained to Jenna.
"What are we gonna do?" Eva asked worried about her friend.
"Right now, we just have to get through this." Damon suggested and the girls and their escorts began to dance. Eva and Damon were dancing and looking into each other eyes and smiling widely. Damon couldn't take his eyes of Eva. She was breath taking. He was completely mesmerized by her beauty. Then the dance ended.

Stefan was still in the parking lot with Amber. He really was on the edge to let the hunger take control of him.
"I don't hurt people. I don't do that. I'm the good brother." Stefan continued to repeat that over and over.
"Do you want to hurt me?" She asked with fear.
"I want to kill you, I want to rip into your skin and I want to feed on your blood." He said looking at her. "Under your skin, pulsating, floating." He said touching her hair and looking at his neck. "Your carotid artery right here. If you puncture this just right you can control the blood flow. It takes practice but it doesn't have to make a mess, you don't have to waste any." He explained to her while touching her neck.
"What's stopping you?" She asked again not knowing the real danger she was in.
"If I do this, if I give in, there's no going back." Stefan said touching her face.
"Then don't." Amber advised him.
"I just want one taste; that's all I need, I just want one taste." Stefan said while his face started to change on his vampire face.
"One taste." Amber told him and he finally bite her and drank her blood.

The girls were on the stage after the dance when Caroline noticed that Amber wasn't present on the stage with them.
"Where is Amber?" Caroline asked to the sisters.
"I don't know." Elena said shocking her head.
"Me neither." Eva did the same thing that her twin sister did.
"Before I crown the winner, I'd like to offer a personal thank you to all of these young ladies for their efforts to better our community." The Mayor said turning to the crowd that was present. When everyone calmed down after the applauses he prepares himself to announce the winner. "So, without further a due it is my honor to announce our very own Miss Mystic Falls, Miss Caroline Forbes!" The Mayor announced.
"Congratulations!" Elena said to a surprised Caroline.
"I'm so happy for you Caroline." Eva said to her friend.
"I actually won!" She said still in shock. The girls embrace Caroline when the Mayor put the banner around her shoulder.

After the twins were alone, Eva took Elena to a corner where they could talk safely about Stefan whereabouts. Elena was really worried.
"What happened to Stefan? Why he wasn't here? Damon told you anything?" Elena fired so many questions at her sister.
"I don't know. Damon doesn't know anything and he went look for him." Eva explained to her sister.
"Are you sure? You are not hiding anything?" Elena asked her sister again.
"Yes, I am. Calm down." Eva pleaded to Elena and hoping that Damon would find Stefan soon before he would do something stupid.

John Gilbert and Sheriff Forbes were in the bathroom where Stefan was earlier and they found blood on the mirror that was broken by Stefan's punch.
"There is blood on the glass." John said to the Sheriff.
"Get me Damon Salvatore." She stated when they looked at each other.

Stefan was still in the parking lot with Amber and still drinking her blood from the neck.
"I can't do this." Stefan said stopping drinking.
"What's the matter?" Amber asked him in a monotone voice.
"I can't do this." Stefan repeated once again.
"It's okay, it doesn't hurt that much, just not so hard next time." Amber told him.
"Oh god, oh god, oh god! I can't stop." Stefan said and touched her face. "Why aren't you afraid of me?" He asked her.
"You told me not to be." She answered him.
"What? What's your name?" Stefan asked her trying to know about her.
"Amber." She tells him.
"Listen to me, Amber. I need you to be afraid of me. I need you to run like hell do you understand me? Run, run now!" Stefan compelled her and she started to run afraid.

Damon was waiting for Elena and Eva, for them to join him to look for Stefan. They were really worried about him.
"What is it, did you find him?" Elena asked him worried.
"There were signs of a struggle in the upstairs bathroom." Damon said to the girls while Bonnie was watching them. "There was blood and that Amber girl is missing." Damon said looking at Elena.
"Oh my god! He wouldn't hurt her, he won't!" Elena said to assure herself.
"Lena, the blood is controlling him, we don't know if he didn't hurt her or not." Eva said worried because she was always has been there to help her sister but now she wanted to Elena see the bad side and the good side of being a vampire.
"Let's just find him, okay? Let's get your coats come on!" Damon said picking the girls hands and has they leave, Bonnie followed them.

Amber was running but then she fell into Stefan. He had used his vampire speed to catch up with her.
"You said to run!" She said to him yelling and fear in her voice.
"I changed my mind." Stefan said and he bites her. Amber started to scream when he started to drink her blood.
"Stefan!" Elena screamed at him with horror on her face when she arrived with Damon and her sister. Bonnie arrived five seconds later. When he heard Elena screaming he released Amber.
"Stefan, come on get control. It's okay, come on. Breath through it man." Damon said trying to get his brother to calm down. Then Stefan turned to his brother and caught him by throwing against a tree. Eva went to Damon and helped him to get up.
"Stefan stop it!" Elena pleaded to her boyfriend. All of the sudden, Stefan started to hold his head and when they looked, Bonnie was casting a spell that hurt him, it was giving a migraine. She stops, when she saw that Stefan was weak.
"It's okay. Stefan." Damon said once again trying to calm his baby brother. Stefan ashamed with what he had done, he ran away from them.
"Are you guys okay?" Eva asked Elena and Damon, and both of them nodded their heads but had worried looks on their faces.

The Sheriff and her deputies arrived when Damon, Bonnie and Elena were still there waiting for something. They wanted to know if they knew who had attacked Amber.
"She doesn't remember what happened." The Sheriff said to Damon.
"It's a good thing the girls got here when they did, she lost a lot of blood." Damon explained to the Sheriff.
"You didn't see anything?" The Sheriff asked to the girls.
"I didn't." Eva said to the Sheriff with a certain voice to not let doubts.
"No, we just found her and then called Damon." Elena said after a long pause and she and Eva looked at Bonnie.
"Is she gonna be okay?" Bonnie asked worried.
"It looks like it yeah. Why don't you girls get back to the party? Damon and I can take it from here." The Sheriff said to the girls.
"Okay." Elena said and Bonnie followed Elena.
"See you later." Eva said to Damon and then kissed his check, and then followed her sister and Bonnie leaving Damon with the Sheriff.
"They didn't see the bite mark?" The Sheriff asked Damon. She didn't want innocent girls to know the truth for a while.
"No, I got here before they got too close. There was too much blood, they couldn't see it clearly." Damon told her and then looked at the Sheriff.

Bonnie went to her car and the twins Elena followed her. They wanted to talk with their friend to know why she helped them.
"Bonnie, can we talk about this?" Elena pleaded with Bonnie.
"There's nothing to talk about." Bonnie stated to them.
"Bon, please, tell us what you really feeling." Eva pleaded with Bonnie.
"Bonnie, please!" Elena pleaded too.
"I told you I wasn't gonna make you both to choose but I need to make the choice for myself. Please just leave me alone." Bonnie pleaded to her friends and got inside the car and drove away. Both twins looked sad with what Bonnie had sad.

Jeremy was still talking to Anna when Jenna called him to leave the party.
"Jer, are you ready?" Jenna asked him.
"Just a sec." Jeremy said turning again to Anna.

When Jenna turned to leave and wait for Jeremy outside, she ran into John.
"Who's that girl with Jeremy?" John asked pointing to where Jeremy was with Anna.
"His friend, Anna." Jenna simply said to him not wanting to talk with him.
"What's her story?" John asked interested.
"Why so nosy?" Jenna asked surprised by his questions.
"I'm just curious; he really seems to like her." John said to her not liking to see his nephew around vampires.
"She's new in town, I think. She and her mom Pearl, the family who you're so rudely trying to prevent from buying Grayson's building." Jenna explained to him.
"Her mother's name is Pearl?" John asked her looking at Jeremy and Anna.
"Yes, so?" Jenna asked not seeing a problem at all.
"Well, I believe I already know all about her." John stated simply and left Jenna alone on the room.

When they watched Bonnie leave, Elena had almost tears on her eyes. First, Stefan couldn't control himself around human blood and now Bonnie didn't want talk with them and their friendship. The worst part, she didn't want to make them to choose between the Salvatores and her.
"Are you okay, Lena?" Eva asked worried with Elena.
"No, are you?" Elena asked with a cracked voice.
"Me neither. Let's go wait for Jenna and Alaric, okay?" Eva asked her picking up her sister hand.
"Yeah, let's go." Elena agreed and squeezed her sister hand.

When Alaric went out to pick up the car, Elena and Eva were waiting for him.
"Good, there you, girls are. Jenna wanted me to get the car." Alaric explained to them and when he looked at Elena and Eva, they weren't okay, especially Elena. "What happened?" He asked worried.

When Damon was getting inside his house, Anna was waiting for him to talk.
"All right now, this is getting weird." Damon said sarcastically.
"We're here to talk." Anna said to him and her mother, Pearl arrived.
"Not in the mood, today's been a no good, very bad day." Damon stated and went to his cabinet to pour a drink.
"Annabelle tells me you're looking for something I took from Jonathan Gilbert." Pearl said to him and Damon got interested.
"I'm listening." Damon said and she gave him the device. "What is it?" Damon asked her interested.
"Jonathan was passionate about his inventions. He confided in me that he had created a detection device meant to track down the town's vampire element." Pearl explained to him about the device.
"It was a pocket watch." Damon said remembering the watch.
"That's what it turned out to be yes. But that's not what I stole. I discovered my mistake when I saw the watch in Jonathan's hand, the night they took us, it's stile pointed at me." Pearl explained to him how she got caught.
"So what is this?" Damon asked her looking at the object in his hands.
"I have no idea but now it's yours." Pearl said to him prepared to leave the house.
"What's the catch?" Damon asked expecting something that Pearl wanted in return.
"There is no catch. My daughter wants to stay here. I want to stay here. You refused to trust us and for good reason. Consider this an apology." Pearl said and they left with a very confused Damon behind.
"What the hell is this?" Damon wondered and sat down on his couch.

After an hour he heard a car being pulled into the driveway of the Boarding House. He heard the heart beats and recognized has Elena and Eva's heart beats. When they entered the house, they saw Damon, on the living room.
"Hey." Eva said and went to sat down beside him.
"Hey, girl. How are you? And you Elena?" Damon asked both girls.
"We are good. So, what are we going to do about Stefan?" Elena asked him.
"I don't know." Damon said and pointed to his hear which made them understand that Stefan was at his room.
"Okay." Elena said and then she saw Eva picking up the a pen and paper and then gave the signal for Damon tell them his plan, while Elena showed them that she had a vervain dart with her and took the pen from Damon and wrote her plan. The others after reading everything they nodded their heads. Elena went upstairs and left both Damon and Eva alone, so they could talk some more.
"So, I wanted to thank you once again for being my escort on this pageant." Eva thanked Damon once again.
"No need to thank me. I did with pleasure." Damon said looking into her eyes and started to lean again into her face.
"I will always thank you for everything you do for me and my family." Eva whispered and started to lean into him too. They finally closed the gap between them and started to kiss passionately. Damon laid Eva with her back on the couch and both continued to make out on there. He knew that Eva wouldn't sleep with him until he figure out his feelings for her and for Danielle.

Stefan entered his bedroom while he tried to calm himself down when Elena arrived to talk with him and put her plan into action.
"You shouldn't be here." Stefan advised her afraid he would hurt her.
"I know." She said to him simply.
"Now you know." Stefan referred to himself when he consumed human blood.
"That wasn't you." Elena stated to him knowing right now she had to put her plan into motion.
"Oh, it was absolutely me. A monster, a predator, that's who I am Elena." Stefan fired back to her.
"That's what the blood makes you." Elena stated trying to defend him.
"The blood brings out what's inside of me and if you think any differently then you're an idiot." Stefan said without hesitation.
"I know this isn't you Stefan." Elena fired back at him.
"I wanted to drain every ounce of blood from that girl's body." Stefan stated to her, the truth that she didn't want to hear.
"No." Elena said stubbornly.
"It's who I am Elena." Stefan continued saying the same thing over and over again.
"No, you can't scare me off." Elena stated once again.
"Why would you risk it? Why would you come here?" Stefan wondered to her.
"Because I did this, this is my fault; I'm the one who made you drink the blood." Elena said to him feeling guilty.
"All you did was exposing me to who I really am." Stefan said to her.
"This isn't you." Elena said to him trying to calm him.
"Stop saying that!" Stefan screamed and then she started walking towards him. "Don't get any closer to me." Stefan tried to warn her.
"I'm not gonna let this happen to you." Elena said to him with worry.
"Stop." Stefan said to when she continued walking towards him.
"Stefan, I'm not gonna give up on you! I believe in you!" Elena pleaded to him.
"Stop!" Stefan pleaded with her and he pushed her against the wall roughly and slammed his fist into the wall. "Stop!" He pleaded once again. Then he looked at her face and saw that she with fear because of him. "I'm so sorry." Stefan apologized to Elena after seeing the fear in her eyes.
"It's okay. It's okay." Elena said to him while he put his head on her shoulder and then he began to cry.
"I don't know what's happening to me." He said with a cracked voice.
"It's okay, Stefan. It's okay. You're gonna be okay." Elena said consoling Stefan and took the vervain dart from her pocket and stabbed him with it. He fell into the floor, while Eva and Damon entered in the room, she looked at them.
"Sure you want to do this?" Damon asked her to be sure.
"I'm sure." Elena told him and Damon picked Stefan up. Then they both took him to the basement where the Damon was locked up once by Stefan.

When Stefan was finally in the cell, Damon closed the door and hoped they could help his little brother.
"There's no guarantee it's going to work." Damon said to Elena.
"It has to." She said with hope in her voice.
"Coming?" He asked the girls.
"I'm gonna stay here." Elena said sitting down.
"I'm gonna stay here with my sister." Eva sat down on the opposite wall and Damon did the same thing but he sit down beside Eva. Elena looked at both of them and thanked them with her eyes.
