Finn laid in bed, Rachel wrapped tightly in his arms as she slept. He smiled as he gazed down at her sleeping form, his hand clasping the hand laid on his chest, smiling as he felt the engagement ring he had bought for her on her left ring finger. He was surprised he was alive after the way Rachel's Dad had taken their engagement, luckily for him, Sarah and Rachel pointed out, that she wasn't a little girl anymore and had to learn to make her own decisions. After a few choice of words, like Rachel had predicted, bot LeRoy and Hiram calmed down enough to accept Rachel's decision and give them their blessing. He brought her hand up to his mouth and kissed it gently, before lightly rubbing his cheek on her hand, smiling as her eyes fluttered open.
'Mhm Morning' she said, sleepily. She cleared her throat quietly and snuggled into Finn, wriggling her body further up his, so her cheek was against his shoulder.
'Morning, baby! Sleep well?' he asked
'Mhmhm. Did you?' she answered and asked, gently stroking his cheek.
'Slept like a baby' he answered, stretching and smiling brightly at Rachel, who smiled back and kissed his neck. She brushed her knuckles against his cheek as she kissed his lips. His hand traveled up to the one resting on his cheek and laced their fingers together. Finn pulled back and kissed each of her knuckles before kissing the engagement ring that adorned her left ring finger.
'I love you' he murmured, locking their eyes together. Rachel smirked and gently gave him an eskimo kiss.
'I love you too' she whispered back, smiling. A knock at the door a few minutes later, broke their gaze.
'Rachel? Finn? Breakfast is ready' Sarah shouted through the door. Rachel made a noise of disappointment, but moved off Finn. They pulled their discarded piyamas from the night before from the floor and pulled them over their bodies, before joining their hands together and walking downstairs to the kitchen.
'Morning Aunt Sarah' Rachel greeted as she and Finn entered the kitchen.
'Morning Rachel, morning Finn... Sleep well?' she asked innocently, smirking both teens blushed. They all sat down and Rachel spooned fresh fruit into her bowl, while Finn piled his plate with toast.
'So did you have a good time last night? At Pucks party?' asked Sarah, making Rachel freeze and stare at Finn, who answered for the m both.
'Yeah, it was great! Had a really good time' Finn lied, not wanting to worry Sarah about what really went on.
Flashback
'Rachel, are you sure about this?' Finn asked, as he pulled up at Pucks house. Rachel didn't answer for a minute, before she turned in her seat and nodded.
'I'm ready. If I don't do it now, I'll never do it!' she said, trying to fool Finn, who raised an eyebrow and gripped her hand.
'Baby, you don't have to prove anything to me, I loved you then, but I love you even more now! Don't push yourself into doing something you don't really want to do' Finn said.
'I want to do this. Just stay by my side and i'll be fine.'
'Always' Finn told her, before he opened the door and jumped out, before rushing round to Rachel's side and helping her from the car...
Finn was panicking. The second they had stepped foot in the house, Puck had dragged him away from Rachel, before either of them knew what had happened. That had been an hour ago and Finn hadn't seen her since. He had thousands of scenarios running through his head, but he refused to believe them. He scanned the room again. He saw Karofsky talking to someone, he saw Puck making out with a cheerleader, Quinn and Sam looking pretty cosy and Kurt and Blaine making out. He grimaced slightly before shaking his head. Just then, a movement caught his eye and he saw Rachel rushing away from Karofsky. Dread settled through him and he quickly made his way over to his enemy.
'WHAT HAVE YOU SAID TO HER?' Finn screamed at him, towering over him. Karfosky smirked and Finn went to punch him, when Puck yanked him back.
'Get Rachel! I'll sort him out' he told Finn, before pushing him into the direction of the kitchen. Finn ran a hand through his hair and was about to open the kitchen door, when he froze. Rachel had tears streaming down her face, but she suddenly, launched forward and grabbed a glass from the cupboard, before finding a bottle of wine and pouring it into the glass, raising to her lips. Finn knew he should scream or shout or even move, but his mouth and body was paralazyed to the spot. Suddenly, the glass hit the hall opposite where Rachel was standing, wine and all. Finn let out a massive sigh of relief and it was then when his body moved. He flung the door open and rushed round to where Rachel had sunk to her knees in despair.
'Rachel, I've got you! It's me!' said Finn, as she jumped and tried to get out of his embrace. She settled down when it was him and curled into his arms, her head on his chest.
'I didn't drink. I didn't! I swear!' Rachel panicked, thinking he wouldn't believe her.
'It's okay! I saw you throw the glass. I believe you!' Finn reassured her, making her sigh against him with relief. They sat in silence for a few minutes, before Rachel spoke.
'Can we get out of here?' she asked
'Thought you'd never ask' Finn said, making Rachel chuckle lightly...
End of Flashback.
'So, how long you staying for?' Rachel asked Sarah. Sarah looked her favorite niece and mocked a shocked gasp.
'Trying to get rid of me Rachel?' she asked
'No, not all! I just wanted to know how much food I should from the supermarket tonight'
'You're best asking your Dad about that one. I'll be here for as love as you want me around' Sarah said, gently, making Rachel smile...
Later that day, Rachel and her Dads, along with Finn and Sarah, spilt up to do the shopping.
'I can't believe you said that' Finn told her as they headed for the sweets and soda aisle. Rachel giggled.
'Well, it's true! We would get it covered quicker! Its a big supermarket!' she protested, as she turned up the sweet aisle. She looked at the different sweets before grabbing a bag of 'Sour Dummies' off the shelf and throwing them into the basket Finn was holding. She chucked a big bar of chocolate in as well, for Finn.
'So, where to now?' Rachel asked. Finn snapped his attention back to Rachel.
'Huh?' he asked, not hearing a word of what she had said. Rachel rolled her eyes and repeated her question.
'Oh... erm, the baking aisle' he said, looking at the shopping list, Rachel had made.
'Come on then' she said, grabbing his hand and pulling him down the isle to the baking stuff...
Back at Rachel's house, an hour later, they were all scattered round in the living room. Rachel and Finn had the couch, while Hiram and LeRoy had the other one with Sarah sat on the floor near their feet.
'So, what movie do you want to watch?' Sarah asked, as she flipped through the movies channels. Finn braced himself for having to see through Funny Girl again for the thousandth time, so he was slightly surprise when Rachel squealed Titanic.
'Oh great! Three hours listening to you girls fawn over DiCaprio' LeRoy muttered. Two pillows hit his head a moment later, while Finn and Hiram stifling their laughter.
'Never insult Leo, Daddy!' Rachel said, before settling down against Finn and watching the movie...
Finn flushed the toilet and washed his hands, before making his way across the landing. A movement in Rachel's room made him freeze. He pressed his ear against the door and listened to his girlfriend in her room. She seemed to be looking for something. He was about to open the door, to see what it was she wanted, when her head popped up round the stairs.
'Finn, it's-' He clamped a hand over her mouth, pulling her towards him. When she was safely on the landing, he let her mouth go, pressing a finger to her lips.
'Be. Quiet. There's someone in your room' he mouthed at her. Luckily, for him, Rachel could lip read and her eyes widened in fear. Before he could stop her, she turned and rushed downstairs, returning moment's later with Sarah, LeRoy and Hiram, who was holding a rolled up magazine.
'What? It's to stop the intruder?' he defended himself.
'What are you going to do? Beat them up with an 'Elle' magazine?' Rachel hissed incredulously.
'If it comes to that yes!'
'SHH!' Hiram and Finn said. Sarah counted to three with her fingers, before banging the door open, interrupting the intruder. Rachel and Sarah's eyes grew wide at the intruder, who was stood frozen in the middle of the half destroyed room.
'Katy?' Rachel questioned, confusion laced in her voice.
'I knew it!' Finn suddenly exclaimed, making Rachel's attention go from Katy to her fiance.
'Knew what?' she questioned. Finn stormed into the room and searched around for it, eventually pulling a bottle of wine from under Rachel's pillows. Rachel's face grew pale as she slowly pieced things together.
'I saw you earlier at the supermarket. You weren't buying this for you, you're only sixteen. I remember Ryan telling me a few back!'
'Don't mention his name! You haven't got a right!' Katy growled
'You don't live round here, but Ryan brought you round one time when he was visiting for the day. You very nearly got off with Puck, if I hadn't caught you and stopped him'
'EXCUSE ME?' Rachel squawked, her eyes wide at Finn's announcement.
'Yeah. She's lucky I stopped Puck from making a huge mistake... You were using this' he motioned to the bottle in his hand 'to make it look like Rach had had relapsed! What's the matter with you?'
'Relapse? She's already had one, haven't you, Rachy?' Katy taunted Rachel. Rachel shook her head frantically.
'No! No, I haven't!'
'Yes, you did! Last night at Puck's party!' Katy said
'I was with her! She very nearly drank, but she threw the glass, wine and all at the wall!' Finn defended his fiancee. He wasn't going to make Katy put doubts in their heads, before a thought struck him.
'Wait. You were at Puck's party?' Finn asked, before he realized who was behind the wheel of the car what had nearly hit them yesterday. 'OH MY GOD! You! It was you who nearly hit us with the car yesterday, nearly ran us off the road!' Finn shouted.
'Oh please that was Rachel's fault. She should've had her eyes on the road' Katy replied. Finn opened his mouth to say something, but Katy pressed on. 'And to answer you're other question. She had a drink last night. I saw her pour it, Vodka and Coke, with a slice of lime and ice'
'I DIDN'T!' Rachel screamed. A small doubt entered Finn's mind. The way Katy had described Rachel's drink was exactly how Rachel would have it if they were at a party.
'Rachel... Truthfully, did you have a drink night?' he asked, as five pairs of eyes settled on Rachel, waiting for her answer...
