Christine clapped and gave Erik an appreciative smile when he had finished playing his new composition he had written for her. Christine sensed adoration and awe in the composition, and was in tears from the piece because it was such a beautiful piece. She noticed Erik giving her a concerned look, and she quickly wiped away her tears and put on a magnificent smile for him. "That was absolutely beautiful Erik; I loved how you had managed to put so much emotion into the composition," Christine said sincerely.
Erik gave Christine a wide smile, "Thank you my dear," he replied, " I saw you crying and thought I had done something wrong; I didn't realize you were crying in joy." He then stood up and approached Christine, and then sat down beside of her. "I meant to put that much emotion in that composition my dear. I wanted you to know that I do have feelings for you. I hope that doesn't scare you away now that I am telling you this." He looked at Christine and saw her give him a shy smile.
Christine looked into Erik's eyes and said, "Erik, I believe you aren't the only one having these certain feelings. I think I am having feelings for you too. I certainly hope I don't scare you away." She gave Erik a teasing smile, "I am not scared because you have feelings for me Erik." She started blushing and glanced at her feet, hoping Erik did not notice that she had begun blushing.
Erik laughed softly. "I promise you my dear that you aren't going to scare me away anytime soon, as it is very hard to stay away from you my dear." Erik gently lifted Christine's face and noticed her blushing. "Why are your checks turning pink my dear?"
Christine started to blush a little more, "I don't know Erik," she replied, "I guess I am surprised I even told you that I am beginning to have feelings for you."
"Don't feel ashamed my dear," Erik said, "We both cannot control that we are obviously attracted to one another." He smiled. "You are actually the first person I have felt this kind of attraction for to be honest. What about you my dear? Have you ever felt this kind of attraction towards anyone?"
Christine blushed, "Well, I suppose I can say when I was about eight or nine years old I had feelings for this one boy that I hang out with during the summer," She replied. She had almost forgotten about that summer she had met Raoul, and how they had met every day on the beach for a summer until his parents and he had moved away.
"Ah," said Erik, "did he not share the same feelings for you? I cannot imagine a guy turning you down my dear. You are too beautiful to reject."
"His family moved away at the end of the summer and I have not seen him since then, but that attraction that I felt for him is long gone now" replied Christine. Sometimes she missed spending time with Raoul, though she doesn't feel the same attraction to him as she used too; that had went away a few months after his family had left town.
"I'm sorry my dear. I didn't realize that is what happened," replied Erik. He stood up, "Shall I take you back to your room for the night my dear?"
Christine smiled up at Erik. "Yes, you may Erik." She stood up and took the hand Erik was holding out to her with a smile. "When we meet again, may I have Meg meet you? She has been dying to meet you."
"Of course my dear," Erik said, "Will tomorrow be a good time?"
Christine nodded, "It will be a good time." She smiled at Erik and wondered how her best friend would like Erik. She hoped Meg and Erik would not hate each other, as she wanted Meg and Erik to become friends as well. Christine gently hugged Erik; afterwards they headed toward Christine's room.
I hope you have enjoyed this chapter. Sometimes it takes me awhile to come up with ideas for this, so thank you for bearing with me. Feel free to leave a review if you would like, and I'm hoping to come up with the next chapter's idea soon.
