Wow... I am such an aft. Sorry for taking... Well months I guess to update. Life's just been busy and hard. So, I apologize for the heart attacks and that I took so long. I just hope you guys don't hate me. So, here's the next chapter. Oh, and I'm sorry if it seems I'm rushing through things, but I can't really due much until Eva finds out about the Autobots.
Oh! And I agree with one of the Guest Reviewers. I think the twins spilling the beans would be the perfect way to do it.
Disclaimer: I do not own transformers, all rights go to Micheal Bay and Hasbro. I own my OCs and the plot.
Chapter Six; First Days of Training
** Day one **
The rest of the day I just toured the base with either some of Optimus' team, or with Lennox and Epps. At least I can say I won't be getting lost any time soon. That night, I'm surprised I even got any sleep, yet some how I did.
When morning came around, I made sure I had a couple note books with me and headed to the mess hall. Grabbing a granola bar, I waved at Lennox and the guys before rushing to the Med-Bay. If what I was told yesterday -keeping in mind this information came from multiple people- I don't want to piss off Ratchet, especially on the first day.
When I got to the large doors of the Med-Bay, I gulped. God don't let me screw up. Knocking, I waited for an answer.
"Come in."
A gruff sounding, slightly annoyed Ratchet called out. Pushing open the smaller door in the large one, I walked in. All the huge equipment was still there, and I still was curious why it's so big.
"Morning."
I smiled softly, walking over to the medic. He was leaning against a desk, an emotionless expression on his face.
"This will be your desk."
Is all he said, not returning my greeting. Sighing a little, I nodded and placed my note books on it, along with some pens and pencils. Once I did, I turned to look at my new mentor.
"So, what are we doing today?"
I tried my best to not show my nervousness. I really did not want to screw up. If he noticed this, Ratchet didn't comment on it and walked over to a smaller bench I just noticed. On it was a soldier.
"Yesterday I said I would teach you what this equipment was, but I've since revised that plan."
When we were beside the soldier, I noticed it was one of the ones I had met yesterday. I'm pretty sure his names was Jacobs. He had short black hair and greyish blue eyes. Making eye contact, we shared a quick nod.
"Before I teach you anything, I want to see what you know. So you'll be giving Jacobs a routine check up."
I looked at him, slightly shocked before nodding. Really? That's actually easy. Grabbing the clip board on the check up bed, I quickly skimmed over it before going through the check up. The whole time, Ratchet seemed to watch me closely. And I'd just like to put it out there, that with him doing so it was a little harder to do the check up.
When I finished writing stuff down on the paper, Jacobs looked at me with a smirk.
"So what's the verdict Roberts?"
Looking up, I gave a smirk right back at him.
"You're healthy as a horse."
Putting the clip bored down, I waited till Jacobs left before turning to Ratchet.
"How'd I do?"
I kept my voice even and my face straight. Ratchet picked up the clip bored and I watched as he looked it over. When he was done, he nodded.
"Good."
He then walked over to a corner of the room, grabbing a few files and papers before walking over to my desk. I followed him over, a little curious in what he was doing.
"I want you to take these procedures and go some where like the Mess or your room and take notes on every one of them."
He ordered, ignoring my confused face.
"Come see me when you're done."
I stood there for a moment, gaping. When he gave me a look that almost dared me to do something, I gulped and nodded.
"Yes sir."
Grabbing the files and my note books, I walked out of the Med-Bay. Navigating down the halls, people moved out of my way. When I got to the Mess, I went to an empty table and pulled out the file. Opening it, I was surprised at what was inside. It was a bunch of medical procedures that we were taught in University. Granted, they were more complicated ones but still.
"Seriously?"
I groaned. Did this guy not trust me or think I was capable of being a medic? Or was he just trying to get rid of me? I mean, it's clear he doesn't like me. Sighing, I grabbed a note book and put the procedure down as the heading.
It didn't matter what he was trying to do. I would make him see that no matter what he throws at me, I can take it.
** POV Change **
Later in the day, Optimus and Lennox went down to the Med-Bay to see how Ratchet and Eva were getting along. What they didn't expect to see was the CMO in his bi-ped form, preforming a routine check up on one of the wreckers.
"Ratchet?"
Optimus questioned, gaining medic's attention.
"Where's Eva?"
As soon as he spoke her name, Ratchet rolled his optics and went back to the check up.
"I sent her off to read over some procedures. She's no good to me until Mearing approves her with knowing what we are. And I have my own work to do."
The Prime sighed deeply, shaking his helm.
"That may be, she's responsibility and you should know where she is."
"Actually,"
Lennox spoke up.
"One of my men said she was in the Mess, a bunch of papers spread out around her."
Hearing that, Ratchet shot Optimus a knowing look.
"See. As long as she doesn't walk into the Rec room, she should be fine."
** Day Three **
** Eva's POV **
"That's it!"
I groaned, throwing my hands up in the air. This was the third day of going through these files and I was only half way done. I was currently in my room, my shoes off and my gun on my beside table. The desk was littered with papers and note books, two already filled up.
"I can't take it."
Needless to say, I've been getting a case of cabin fever. That or plain brain explode. Either way, I couldn't do this. At the very least, I needed a break. Pulling on my boots and strapping on my gun, I pulled my hair into a pony tail before walking out into the hallway. Some soldiers were walking around and a few nodded to me, in which I nodded back.
Maybe if I could go to the Rec. room. Epps said if I needed to relax, that was the place to go. Nodding to myself, I made my way through the hall ways to the Rec. When I got there, I slipped in relatively unnoticed. This was mostly because Skidz and Mudflap were fighting... again. I wasn't quite sure what, and no one seemed to be breaking them up.
I was about to go over there when the two teenagers just disappeared. Right out of thin air. My eyes widened and I stopped, mouth open. H-how the hell? Seconds later, there was the sound of gears and metal grinding. To the left of the group were a neon green Chevy Beat and a red-ish orange Chevy Trax, and the noise seemed to be coming from them.
Right before my eyes, they folded in on them selves and transformed into two robots. Robots distinctly like the ones in Chicago. What was more, they then started to punch each other and roll on the ground.
"Ya ugly aft head!"
"We're twins ya genies! That makes ya ugly too!"
When they started arguing, they sounded like Skidz and Mudflap.
W-what? Unconsciously, I started shaking as there was more gear grinding noises. This time, the Camero changed into a robot. It was taller than the other two, and I immediately recognized it as one of the ones I saw in Chicago.
"N-no w-way."
I stuttered, watching as it broke the two apart and smacked their heads together. It then threw the two in my direction. Seeing as I was frozen in shock, I couldn't move as they landed three feet in front of me. Neither one noticed me as the stood up.
"OW!"
The green one, who sounded like Skidz shouted.
"That hurt Bee!"
The other one, who sounded like Mudflap, groaned. Bee? That's Bumblebee's nickname!
"That means..."
I spoke aloud, and loud enough for others to hear me. When they did, the two bots in front of me turned to face me.
"Oh! Hey Eva!"
Skidz called out, before realizing the look on my face. I was shaking, and I felt myself pale.
"T-this... Y-you c-can't b-be... I-it's n-not p-p-possible."
I stuttered as Bee walked over to me slowly.
"Eva... Pleaselisten-"
He started to say, but I bolted. I was running faster then I think I ever had and ducked through halls till I got to my room. The whole while I heard people yelling for me but I ignored them. My mind was back in Chicago, that one robot chasing me.
Running into my room, I locked the door, going into the bathroom and locking that one too. I then proceeded to empty my stomach in the toilet.
