"Miley, please talk to me..." Lilly pleaded.
I was sitting in a toilet cubicle, during class. I know, I'm so naughty wagging but I don't really give a crap.
"Nah." I said, like a little kid and folding my arms.
"Fine then." Lilly answered. A minute later, she managed to squeeze under the space under the door.
"What do you want to do?" She asked softly.
"I guess I have to admit I'm Hannah." I answered, my voice breaking on the word Hannah.
"Miles, its okay."
"No its not. I've kept the secret for 3 years. I don't want to give it up now."
"I have a idea." Lilly said suddenly.
"What is it?" I asked curiously.
"We disguise your voice."
"How?"
"How well can you lip sync?" Lilly asked.
"Pretty well. Why?" I asked confused.
"We record you singing then alter it since for the talent show you have to provide your own music."
"Lilly, you're a genius!" I exclaimed, springing up and giving Lilly a giant hug.
"Now here's Miley Stewart singing One in A Million by Hannah Montana."
I was freaking out. I wasn't going to do the fake recording. I was going to admit that I'm Hannah.
"Here goes nothing." I muttered under my breath.
The music started and I walked out onto the stage.
I started lip syncing along to the music and finished the song.
"Okay, I have a confession to make." I said and the crowd gasped.
I took a deep breath. "This is my real singing." I confessed and sung the first verse of One in A Million.
"Also, I wanted to show you something that I've been hiding for the past 3 years of my life." I ran backstage and got my wig from my bag.
I heard a few gasps and screaming from the audience and I bit my lip. I turned around and put the wig on. I turned back around slowly.
"I'm really Hannah Montana."
Still silence.
"I've been keeping this a secret, having an alter ego because I just didn't want anyone to treat me differently. I wanted to live a normal life, but when I was in Russia something happened and it changed everything, I realized that maybe it would be alright to come out." I trembled as everyone still stared.
I felt as if I was about to run away, but I didn't. I hat to stay strong and let everyone know. I felt someone come up behind me and I turned seeing Jake there with me.
"It's alright Miley, go on, we're here with you." He whispered and soon Jackson and my dad came up to the stage for supporting me. I didn't know they were coming, I only just decided I was telling everyone.
"So, I've decided that I'll have my last concert next week and tell the whole world."
"No, don't Miley." Amber yelled. The crowd nodded in agreement.
"We'll keep the secret." Someone else yelled.
I smiled."Really?"
The response from the crowd was unanimous. Everyone was going to keep my secret.
"Can you do a song?" Someone asked.
"Which one?" I asked.
"Rockstar!"
I nodded to my dad and the music started playing.
Sometimes I walk a little faster
In the school hallway
Just to get next to you
Some days I spend a little extra
Time in the morning
Just to impress you
Guess you don't notice
Guess you don't need this
Sad you're not seein' what you're missin'
On the outside shyin' away
On the inside dyin' to say
I'm unusual
Not so typical
Way too smart to be waiting around
Tai chi practicing
Snowboard champion
I could fix the flat on your car
I might even be a rock star
Sometimes I wish when the phone rings
That it would be you
Saying let's hang out
Then you confess
That there's something special between us
Why don't we find out
But you don't know me
Guess you don't need me
Sad you're not seein' what you're missin'
On the outside shyin' away
On the inside dyin' to say
I'm unusual
Not so typical
Way too smart to be waiting around
Tai chi practicing
Snowboard champion
I could fix the flat on your car
I might even be a…
…rock star
If you only knew the real me
I might even be a rock star
I'm telling you that we are meant to be
Now wouldn't it be nice if you could see
That I really am a rock star
I'm unusual
Not so typical
Way too smart to be waiting around
Tai chi practicing
Snowboard champion
I could fix the flat on your car
I might even be a rock star.
It was two weeks after the karaoke night. Everyone, surprisingly, was treating me like normal. No-one seemed to remember my confession, which I was glad about. It was like it never happened. I sat on the beach, just reflecting as I stared out at the waves.
"Are you okay Miles?"
I looked up to see Jake staring down at me.
"Yeah, I guess so. After everything that has happened, I'm happy that everything has worked out."
"Yeah, me too."
I put my arms out. He embraced me, and soon our lips met in an amazing kiss.
Everything has worked out.
So, that's the rest of the story. I hope you liked it.
