Harry walked over and hugged Hermione, "I'm Sorry." He said quietly squeezing his best friend, "I Love him I really do," she sniffed her voice muffled as she buried her face in his chest. Inside, the guilt was eating her alive. How could she do this?

"And we'll stick by you the entire time." Harry replied.

The Guilt intensified.

Chapter 5

At some point Hermione had closed the blinds which was good, because currently Draco was sitting on her couch and she was seconds away from cussing him

out."Unlike you Granger I was playing my role." he sneered halfheartedly. "Ugh, I'm Sorry Okay?" She said through clenched teeth, I mean come on. It was just a

mistake. "If it makes you feel better it won't happen again." she said in a mocking baby like voice, placing her hands on her knees and bending over, as if talking to a

small child. He simply rolled his eyes, not alerting her to the perfect view down her shirt; he tore his eyes away forcefully. "Don't we leave tomorrow Night?" He asked

changing the subject, If so he had to pack.

"Yes I believe so." She replied a small frown crossing her face. She didn't want to see her family so soon. Let alone her cousin, they were always poking and prodding

and digging and lying to her and about her. Yet she loved them anyway. "Then we have to go shopping." he said matter of factually a slight drawl in his silky voice,

disbelief flickered across her face, "For what the trip? It's only a week long..." her voice trailed off. "If you have in your closet what I think you have, then we need to

go immediately, go get dressed." He said pointedly shooing her off with one pale hand.

She didn't fight it too much after all she liked shopping, to a certain extent. She simply pulled on a pair of black sneakers, a Muggle brand called converse. She wore

them when she could, they were good for everything, plus she knew it would make Draco upset. After shrugging on a lightweight, dark faux leather jacket she

grabbed her bag and pulled her hair back in a ponytail. She exited the room, and Draco tsked shaking his head, but he didn't say anything. She had her Galleon Card

and her wand in her bag along with a multitude of other unnecessary things. "Ready Draco?" she said, getting used to his name on her lips. The engagement ring felt

heavy and foreign on her fingers, but it was beautiful, that much was true. "C'mon Granger," he muttered grabbing her hand and disapparating away.

They arrived with a crack, the sound alerting the woman behind the desk of their arrival. She glanced around, this place reminded her of a doctor office, with its

carpeted floors, and dark colored walls, and she arched a brow at Draco as he pulled her along. She felt under dressed, regretting the shoes immediately, the woman

behind the desk was blond, not stark blond like Draco, but a yellow blond. She had tanned skin and dull green eyes. "Mr. Malfoy!" she chirped, a flirty smile on her lips,

now it was her turn to scowl, she did but briefly. The blond glanced at her disdain flickering in her eyes as they roamed over her, she sneered, long enough for the

blond to catch it but only briefly.

Draco chortled under his breath arching a sly brow at Hermione. "Hello Deana," he hummed leaning up against the corner still holding onto her

hand, he brought it up briefly and kissed her knuckles, causing Hermione to blush a bit.w "My fiance and I are heading out of town for a while, is Myra in?" he asked in a

soft drawl.

Deana looked shocked for a moment her eyes flickering to Hermione, then the woman was easily mesmerized by Draco's voice, and it made Hermione scoff. "Of course,

head right on back" she said sitting back down behind the desk. Draco flashed her a blinding grin and headed to the back, not letting go of Hermione's hand. He

pushed open a set of ebony double doors, and Hermione was impressed, everything looked expensive and elegant, like somewhere a Malfoy would shop. She would

by a few things; she didn't see the point in indulging in clothing that probably cost more than her apartment. Suddenly a woman short in stature exited a door that

was partially hidden, she had thick curly hair that was cut short on the sides and even shorter in the back, but longer on the top hanging in her eyes, she had coffee

colored skin, and her eyes were a chocolate brown a shade darker than her own.

The woman wore a yellow slightly tight fitting button up shirt with a gray high waist pencil skirt that had gold buttons. She wore a pair of black stockings

with intricate rose patterns, and no shoes. "Myra." He said softly a small smile on his face, the woman smiled back at him giving him a chaste

hug and kiss on the cheek, "Hello Draco, and… Hermione Granger?" she asked surprise coloring her tone, she hugged Hermione briefly, smelling of honey and

something sweet. "Hello." She replied softly feeling terribly out of place, why were they here of all places?

"Hermione and I are going away to Alaska for a week, and we need some clothing fitting for the weather" he said with a slight tilt of his head, one hand in his pocket

the other finding its way back into Hermione's. "Ooh, Alaska?" she said with a smile, "This is going to be fun". Suddenly the woman lost her sweet expression is

hardening into something cold, "Ladies get out here now." She barked over her shoulder, encircling the duo like prey. Four women came hustling out wearing and all

black uniform; they had quills and parchment in hand. They surrounded us waiting for Myra's order's I suppose, and when she began talking, the quills began moving,

the women listening attentively. From what Hermione could understand, she had ordered several silk shirts for Draco, coats, boots, pants, and watches and for her? It

sounded like 6 pairs of shoes and 6 pairs of boots, and only Merlin knows what, she was unsure honestly. 5 seconds after Myra stopped talking and the women ran

off, to get what Myra had ordered I believe, scrambling like mice.

"Oh, they'll be busy for a while." Myra said with a wave of her hand, her facial expression sweet again.

She took out her wand flicking it, transfiguring 3 bar stools, they all sat down just as a red haired man came walking out he was tall, well-built and pale. His hair hung

in his eyes as he walked; he came over to Myra, placing a chaste kiss on her lips. "Hullo love. Draco and…Mrs. Granger?" he asked, sounding as shocked as Myra did.

Hermione blushed, "Hullo-"the red head interrupted "Nixon." He supplied with a slow smile watching Hermione with blue eyes. She smiled albeit awkwardly, Nixon sat

down next to Myra after transfiguring another stool; he glanced at Hermione's engagement ring. "Tamed the dragon have you?" Nixon asked with a small laugh, for a

moment Hermione was confused then Myra saw the engagement ring, "Draco!" she yelled slapping the blond on the arm "How come you didn't tell me!" she said with

a small pout, her eyes bright and happy, Hermione's face had heated up again. Draco shrugged, "just wanted to see how long it would take for you to notice." He said

with a tiny smile, "Oh, tell me everything, from the beginning of course." Myra said happily, "We fought over a book." Hermione supplied, "He being the pig headed

brat he his thought he was going to get the best of me, we fought for an half an hour and almost got kicked out of the store." Hermione said smoothly, "Twice." Draco

added.

For the next few minutes, that was how they continued, telling stories one adding onto the other. After lying to her best friends, this wasn't so hard. Eventually the

employees came back with the ordered clothing, Hermione was a bit worried over the bill, and she was going to spend the galleons though she didn't want to look

even more awkward. She pulled out her galleons card, but Draco had beat her to it she tossed him a tiny glare as he paid. Once they were out of the posh store,

Draco promising to keep in touch with Myra, they headed back to Draco's place. Once they arrived she elbowed him in his ribs with a small scowl, "I can pay for myself,

thank you." Draco grunted stepping away from the brunette. "You seem to have forgotten Granger, a few thousand dollars won't even put a dent in my bank

account." Hermione's eyes widened, 'A few thousand?! How much did all this stuff cost anyway!?" Hermione sighed, Draco shrugged "Use your imagination." He said

cheekily, "I'm off to pack."
