Forever Chapter 8
Belle woke up very early the next morning. It was saturday, and today she and derek were going to spend the day together. They haven't really had much time for each other lately so she was really excited.
She quickly rushed into the bathroom and started to strip, she turned on the water and waited for it to get hot before jumping in. She felt all of her muscles relax under the heat of the water.
Once she was done in the shower she stepped out. She pulled out two towels from the rack, she rapped one around her head and used the other to dry herself. Once she was done she went back into her room and proceeded to get ready for the rest of her day. She look for something that she would look really hot in but still casual enough that it would not make her look like she's trying too hard.
She was really confused about her feeling for Derek as of lately. She couldn't deny it any longer because the truth was she was attracted to him and that scared her. She really has tried to ignore her feeling because she really didn't want ruin the friendship they had. 'he wouldn't ever return my feelings anyway.' She thought to her self. She pushed all those thoughts to the back of her head and she finish get ready.
She was done about half an hour later. It was still early and if she knew Derek he was probably still asleep. She decide to just relax with a good book until he was ready to leave.
About an hour later Belle heard someone coming down the steps, she looked up from her book to see Derek heading out the door "Derek wait were are you going. I thought we were going to the movies today." Belle said as she caught derek before he could get into his car. "Shit. I totally forgot Belle sorry. I..I actually made plans with kate today, so could we do it tomorrow." Derek asked with a bit of a pleading look
"Look I knew you probably don't want to hear this but I don't think you should trust Kate so much okay, something about her just doesn't feel right." Belle said looking up at him. "Belle what are you talking about." Derek sighed "Look Kate is harmless, she would never do anything to hurt anybody." He said brushing her off.
"I get bad vibe from her Derek and I've never been wrong about these thing. You have to trust me Kate is up to something and we're all going to end up getting hurt if you don't stay away from her." Belle pleaded with Derek hoping he with listen
"You have no idea what your talking about. You don't know kate like I do. She loves me and I love her. She would never do anything to hurt me. I trust her with my life." Derek said getting annoyed with belle, he didn't understand why his best friend was trying to ruin his relationship with kate.
"Derek please you have to listen me. Kate is bad news. Derek please you have to believe me. Were all going to end up getting hurt or worse if you stay with her!" Belle shouted irritated that Derek was not taking her seriously.
"Why are you doing this Belle huh! Do you want me to be miserable for the rest of my life. Kate makes me happy. And I'm not going leave her just. Because your freak of nature power is telling you that she's dangerous." Derek screamed, to angry to care that he may have hurt her feelings.
"Derek... " She paused before speaking again "You have to trust me on this please. Look you are looking for a replacement to paige, You can do so much better. Kate can't be trusted." Belle said more quietly. Derek was started to get really mad. He didn't like Belle talking about kate like this. "You know what your just jealous. You don't know what you talking about. Kate is great. She knows how to keep me happy. Something that you will never know how to do. She is so much more of a women than you will ever be." He Said in a low sneer.
Belle let one single tear slip her eye, she couldn't believe that derek is being so cruel to her. "You know I could spread my legs for every guy that walks pass too, but will never make me a women and it definitely does not make her more of a women than me just because she is doing exactly that. If you are willing to trust her just because she's having sex with you Derek, than your more pathetic that I thought." She said as more tears fell.
"There only person thats is pathetic here Belle, is you. You will never be anything like kate. She is beautiful and just amazing. You will never be good enough for anybody." Derek said before he got into his car and drove away.
He was already regretting everything he said to Belle. He didn't mean any of it. He knew Belle was beautiful. She was the most beautiful girl he has ever seen. More so than Kate and Paige. And she could probably get any man she would ever want. She just made him so mad today and he just said anything that he knew would hurt her. But he's regretting it more than anything now.
Belle fell to her knees in the spot were Derek's car had just been. Unable to control her sobs. She couldn't believe that Derek would say all those things to her. It feels like he just plunged his hand into her chest and pulled out her heart.
She continued to crying until she was physically unable to do so anymore.
She got up. She needed to stop kate herself. She didn't know what kate was up to but she wasn't going to let her get away with it.
She decided too take a walk for now. She just needed to clear her head for a little while. She started walking towards the forest. Unsure of where she was going. She just let her instincts guide her. She walked until she came across a small wooden cabin. She's been pass here many times but has never been inside. she heard a sound coming from inside which she found unusual because she knew for sure that the cabin was abandoned. She got a bad feeling from this place, she knew it was a bad idea going in the cabin but she couldn't help it. She was just to curious for her own good.
She took a small cautious into the cabin and stopped then looked around before she continued to move. "Well look what the cat dragged in" was all Belle heard before everything went black.
The next day
"Derek have you seen belle." Leah asked the next day just as derek was about to leave. "No I haven't seen her since yesterday morning." He said. Leah sighed, "She told me yesterday that she was going to stay with phoebe last night since her dad is out of town but she should have been home by now, its already 6pm." Leah sighed and Derek look at her. He could tell she was worried "Derek do you have any idea where she could be." Leah asked, she was really getting worried now. Derek sighed and looked at leah with an annoyed expression. "Look I'm sure she's fine, she and I got into a fight yesterday and now she's just being a brat. She probably wants me to get worried about her so that ill go look for her. And that when I find her ill be so relived that she's okay that ill forgive her. But that not going happen, Belle needs to grow up and realize that not everything is about her." Her said unemotionally before walking out the door. Leah glared at Derek's back. She could tell that deep down HE didn't even believe that story he just spewed out. She was really worried now. She looked out of the window and watched as the sky got dark.
At the cabin
"Looks like our guest has finally awoken. Its seems has you've been out for a few hours. I was beginning to worry that you would miss the show." Said a voice that belle couldn't quite make out yet. She shook her head hoping her vision would clear up a bit. She realized that she was tied to a chair and had some kind of wire attached to her side.
She was still pretty out of it but she could make out two figures. One was definitely a man, the other she guessed to be a women. She let out a gasp as her vision began to clear and she finally realized who her captors where. Belle sneered as she took in the smug look on kate's face. She noticed that the man that had left, she still didn't get a look at his face.
"What do you want with me. Your not going to get away with this. You are just wasting your time, my family will realize I'm missing and they will come looking for me." Belle all but growled. "That's the problem with you filthy mutts, you'll assume that everything is always about you. Trust me look for you is the last thing on their mind" Kate smirked " you see I may have sent them a text from your phone saying that you are staying with a friend tonight since you are so upset With derek because of that little fight you had with him."
Kate smirked when she registered the shock on Belle's face. "Oh sweety, didn't you know that Derek tells me everything, he even told me about your families Dirty Little Secret...'woof woof' " She said in a sickly sweet voice.
Belle was silent. She could believe that Derek had told kate about their pack. "Oh I wish I had a camera right now. The look on your face is priceless." She said smiling. "So you know our secret what are you going to do now huh, Derek will never forgive you if you hurt anybody in our family." Belle said. "Do you really think I care what Derek thinks about me. All I care about is riding the world of monsters like you." Kate said. As she turned the dial that was connected to electrocution wires that were placed on belle's side.
Belle let out a strangled scream followed by a sob. Kate stopped after 5 minutes. The pain was excruciating she wasn't sure if she could take another electrocution like that. She may be an emissary with unique powers but the fact is, her body was still that of human. She couldn't heal fast like a werewolf, and she was sure she wouldn't survive it if she was electrocuted again.
"That's right Belle scream like the bitch you are." Kate said as she turned the dial again but only for a few seconds. She didn't want to kill her just yet. She wanted Belle to be alive when she killed her family. She wanted to see the look on her face when she realized the entire pack was dead. She was going to save this little girl for last and was going to relish in the fact that she destroyed the one girl that meant the world to Derek Hale.
"Stop it, Why are you doing this to me I'm not even a werewolf. My pack, we don't hurt anybody. Please don't hurt them." Belle whispered in a almost broken voice. She didn't think she could stay awake any longer she was just to exhausted from all the torture. "Oh sweetheart I'm just getting started with you." Kate said as she pulled out a knife and plunged it into belles legs. Belle let out a scream as she passed out from the pain.
When she woke up again she realized it was morning. She noticed that kate was gone but the man that she saw before was back. He had his back to her so she couldn't see his face. She turned around and Belle gasped. "I see you remember me, long time no see." Said the man. It was the hunter that she attacked at the distillery when she saved Deucalion. "You know we haven't really been properly introduced. My name is Kain." He said as he kneeled down so that he was eye to eye with her. He took his hand and ran it down the side of her face. "You really are so beautiful do you know that?. Its to bad that Kate is going to kill you but I'm sure we can have some fun before that right?"
"Get you filthy hands of me" Belle sneered at him. Kain gave her a small smile before his fist collided with her face. Her head snapped to the side before she brought it back to look at him. She refused to show him any weakness, She refused to let him win.
"You don't get to speak until I ask you to." He said as he turned the dial to electrocute her and Belle's screams pierced the air. He stop the electrocution and turned back to the small table by the window. Belle didn't have any strength left to even worry about what he was doing.
She let her head fall back on the chair as her face scrunched in pain. She tried to get her hand free. If she had at least one of her hands free she could use her abilities. She wiggled her hands trying to get them free, one of the ropes did came loose but not enough to get her hand out. Kain turned back around with a sadistic smile and a dagger in his hand "Lets have some fun shall we." He said as he walked towards her and belle just shut her eyes.
Back at the hale house.
Derek sat in his room looking at the ceiling. It was a saturday everybody as at home. They were planning to have a nice family lunch but something didn't feel right. When he came home last night Leah had showed him the text that Belle had sent. He knew he should have been relieved that she was safe but something about the text didn't sit right with him.
He was really worried about Belle, he couldn't shake this feeling In his heart that something was seriously wrong with her. He knew that he hurt her when he said all those things to her and he regretted every last bit. He promised himself that he would make it up to her the moment she got home. She was his Best friend and she meant the world to him, he didn't know what he would do if anything ever happened to her.
He decided to go look for her and make sure she is safe himself, the pack wouldn't mind to much if he missed lunch. Laura was already not going to be there because she was going out, so he knew that they couldn't really say anything if he skipped lunch too.
He raced out the door and tried to follow her scent since he couldn't thing of any friend of hers that she possibly want to stay with. He was really worried now because her scent was leading deep within the forest he doubted that any of her friends lived out there. But his stomach dropped when he realized Belle's scent wasn't the only one he was picking up. "Kate"
In the cabin.
Belle held in a scream as Kain dragged the dagger across he skin again. Belle didn't think she could take anymore of this, the pain was unbearable. She still couldn't get that one hand out properly. The rope had come loose but her hand was still tied. She was ready to give up but She decided to give it one final try. She tugged he hand hard and relief washed over her when her hand came free
"Once kate gives me the okay, I'm going to rip your head off" he sneered. "Don't be so sure". Belle said as brought up her free hand and held in front on her. She closed her eyes and concentrated.'Come on belle you can do this just like Deaton showed you.' She thought to herself. She let her energy consume her, the power generate all over her body then she brought it just to her fingertips and directed it toward Kain. His eyes widened in fear as he realized that he was in some serious trouble.
His body flew back into the opposite wall. Belle felt her heart sink when he go up again. It wasn't strong enough, she was just to drained out. She shut her eyes he came towards her. He grabbed hold of her hair and pulled her up. She used the dagger to cut the rope on her wrist and ankles and threw her on the ground.
He got on top of her and held the dagger to her throat. "Now your really going to pay, I'm going to make you wish you were never born." Belle finally couldn't hold it in, she let her tears cascade down the side of her face. "How about we have some real fun now." He said as his hand reached the bottom of her shirt. But Before he could do anything he heard a loud growl run through the Cabin.
Kain look to the door and saw a boy with an outraged look on his face his eyes glowed blue and his nail turned to claws. Before kain could say anything Derek lurched forward and ripped out his throat and let his now dead body fall to the ground.
Derek look down at the withering body on the ground. "Belle" he whispered as he bent down to her. Belle didn't say anything she just let out a small sob. "Oh Belle I'm so sorry." Derek said as he pick her up. "Belle please say something. please just say something baby." Derek said trying to hold back a sob of his own.
"Kate. She's going after our pack." Belle whispered and Derek froze "she's a hunter derek. That guy in there, works for HER." Derek didn't say anything back he just continued walking.
When they got closer to the house she could only see smoke. Panic set in and Derek sprinted toward the house with Belle still in his arms. He stopped in front of the burning house and sunk to his knees. "No! Mum! Dad!" He yelled before running towards the house. Just before he got to the door someone grabbed him and held him back. He looked at the person and realized it was Laura but something was Strange about her. Then he noticed it, her eyes were not their usual gold color but were Red. He couldn't believe it, that could only mean on thing. Their mother was dead and Laura was now the alpha. He started struggling again trying to break free of his sisters grasp.
"No let me go! let me go! I have to help them Laura, Let me go!" Derek screamed as a few tears fell from his eyes, Laura just held him tighter. They both stopped in their tracks when they heard a loud, fierce growl followed by a painful howl. Laura held her head and sunk to her knees, who could have so much power to bring an Alpha to her knees. Derek held his head but it didn't affect him as much as it did Laura which confused him, she was the Alpha not him. They turned there heads back and stared with a look shock.
She was on her knees. Her eyes were closed and face scrunched up in pain. They watched in amazement as her nails grew in claws and her face grew large side burns. Her face change into that of a monster, but what surprised them the most was when she opened her eyes. Laura let out a small gasp, her eyes were blood Red. Belle was an alpha.
Belle held her held head in pain. What was happening to her. Her body started healing, her vision become more clear and her hearing more prominent. That's when she heard it, it was coming from inside the house. He was crying, calling for help. She had to save him, she is suppose to protect him. Belle got up and ran inside the burning house, she ignored Derek and Laura's screams for her to stop. She had to find him, she had to save him.
She ran into the lounge that's when she saw him. Cayden was curled up in the corner on the room, his face ducked in his hand. She picked him up and raced out of the house just as the roof collapsed. She and Cayden were both on the ground breathing heavily, she did it, she saved her brother.
Soon grief took over her when she realized that everybody else in their family was dead. She was able to think more clearly now that her wolf was contained. She couldn't believe it they were dead. Also she was a werewolf, was it even possible. She felt a hand on the shoulder and looked up to see Laura kneeling beside her with tears streaming down her face.
Belle was shaking so much so Laura took Cayden from her arms and held him in her own and she put her other arm around Belle holding her close as she cried her heart out for the pack, their family.
Soon the police were there. The fire department had already put out the fire and were currently taking whatever was left of bodies out of the house. Belle, Derek and Laura had just given their statements.
Right now Laura was trying to get cayden to sleep in the back of one of the police car. Belle was sitting at the edge of the forest when Derek came and sat next to her. "Belle..." He was cut of "Don't, Just don't." Belle said looking at him. "I'm sorry" derek whispered. "I hate you." She said looking at him and Derek looked at her stunned. "You don't mean that, your just hurt and angry" Derek said "No I mean it. This is all your fault. I warned you about her and you didn't listen. There all dead and Its all your fault." She said as her tears streamed down her face. "Belle please" derek begged. "No Derek. I can't even look at you! Do you even know what they did to me in that cabin. I...l want you to leave." She said and Derek looked at her shocked. "Wait you can't mean that. What are you going to do huh. Your 15 years old. You can't take care of Cayden by your self. Belle Please don't do this." Derek begged again. "I can take care of Cayden just fine by myself. But I can never forgive you for this Derek. I hate you!" Belle screamed it broke her heart as she said every word but she was so hurt, she was just to upset to really think about what she was doing. "I Want you to Leave Derek and I don't want you to ever come back. I never want do see you again." Belle said and got up before say anything.
That night Derek and Laura Left beacon hills. He never saw nor spoke to belle since that day. But his mind and heart never drift far from her.
