Forever ch9

Belle sighed as she stopped her white BMW in font of the familiar building. She was finally back home in Beacon Hills after 4 years. She turned her head towards the back and let a small smile graze her face as she looked at the two werewolves.

Phoebe and Cayden were snuggled up in the back seat, sound asleep. Belle had changed Phoebe about a year after the fire when they realized that the cancer had come back. Phoebe has been a real great help with Cayden especially when Belle was in college, and needed someone to stay with him. The 17 year old was like family to Belle and Cayden and after her dad died Belle felt like she needed to take responsibility for her. She wanted to protect and take care Phoebe, especially since that's exactly what Phoebe's dad did for her and Cayden 6 years ago when her home was burned with her family still in it.

FLASHBACK

"Isabel I'm assuming you and Cayden will be leaving with Laura and Derek in the morning as well." Sheriff Stilinski asked that night just ask Belle was about to leave the police station after giving her final statement. She wasn't able to tell him the truth about what Kate had done to her because all her wounds had healed now that she was a werewolf, so she just told him that she suspected Kate had something to do with it.

"Actually Sheriff my brother and I will not be leaving with Derek and Laura. We will be staying here in Beacon Hills." Isabel said and Sheriff Stilinski raised an eyebrow at that. "Isabel I don't think that's possible. It was Stated in your parents 'will' that if anything were to ever happen to them that one of the Hales were to be given full guardianship of you and your brother. And since Laura is the only Legible living member of the Hale Family she is now your Legal guardian." The sheriff told her

"I don't want to leave. I love Laura but Beacon Hills is my home." Belle whispered and the Sheriff sighed. "Isabel you do understand Laura is the only option of a Guardian for you and Cayden right? If you don't go with her you will be put into the system and if that happens then we won't have any say in where they put you. Belle if you go into the system you may never see you brother or the Hales until you turn 18." Sheriff Stilinski said solemnly.

And Belle gasped at the thought of not being able to take care of her brother. No she couldn't let that happen but she didn't want to be anywhere near Derek. She just couldn't do it. "Are you sure there is no other option." Belle whispered. "I'm sorry belle but there is nobody else that can be a legal guardian for you and Cayden." Said the sheriff.

"That's not entirely true" said a voice from the doorway. Both belle and sheriff stilinski were surprised to see James Carson standing there. "I'm sure you are aware that my wife was very close to the Hale and the Black family before she died." He said and the sheriff nodded

"well I'm sure if she were alive she would have been the first person here offering our home to Belle and Cayden as well as the Hales children, which is exactly what I am going to do. I have already spoken to Laura since she is the legal guardian of Derek, Belle and Cayden but she had declined. She said that's it just to hard for her and Derek to stay in Beacon hills" He said then turned towards Belle and kneeled down so he was face to face with her.

"But she did tell me that you want to stay here, so if you are willing to give me a chance I would really like to ask the court for sole guardianship of you and your brother." he said looking at Belle. "Really. You would you do this for us?" Belle asked and James gave her a small smile.

"Isabel its the least I could do after Everything you have done for Phoebe, you have always been there to take care of her. You babysat her when I was away for work and you were there for her when she was sick and needed a friend, also she's going to need you now that cora's gone. If you are sure this is what you really want then me and Phoebe would would be more than happy to have you and your brother apart of our family as well." He said and Belle got up and gave him a small hug "Thank you" she whispered.

END FLASHBACK

James was like a second father to both Belle and her brother. And it practically broke her heart when he died just after Belle turned 18. To Belle's surprise he had told his lawyers that he wanted Belle to be Phoebe's legal guardian. Belle was touched that he trusted her so much. He could have easily appointed his sister and her husband to be Phoebe's guardian but he chose her, much to his sister's disapproval.

That year Belle had taken both Phoebe and Cayden to London with her where she was accepted to one of London's most prestigious colleges. But a few weeks ago she got a call from Dr Deaton, he told her about what was happening with the darach and the Alpha pack in Beacon Hills.

She knew she had to come and help, after all it was the last remaining members of her FAMILY and her old pack that was in the middle of this mess and since she was done with school anyway she decided it was time that she brought her family home. It seems she was just in time because she caught a scent that she didn't every want to smell again. Deucalion's

she shivered that the thought of him being back here. Truth be told she was scared of him. She knew that she was powerful and she could possibly take Deucalion on but something about him terrified her.

Belle sighed, she didn't have time to worry about Deucalion because this darach was defiantly more dangerous to her than he was, when it came down to it she knew she could defeat Deucalion but a darach would give her much more problem because it had almost the exact same abilities as her but Belle had something the darach didn't. Belle was an Alpha. Belle had become extremely powerful alpha over the past 6 years and with the help of Dr Deaton she had take her emissary powers to a whole knew level not even Dr Deaton thought was possible. But she is the poster child doing the impossible. She chucked at that thought as her mind went to back to a certain memory

FlASHBACK.

"Hello isabel, how are you feeling?" Dr Deaton asked Belle as she walked into the room at the animal clinic. Its been a week since the fire and Dr deaton has asked her to come in so that she could have a check up.

"I'm fine I guess, I'm just so confused." Belle whispered letting a few tears fall from her eyes. She was finding it really hard being away from Derek and Laura. They were the only family she had left and she was regretting not going with them. Laura had promised that she would come visit and told Belle that if she ever needed her for anything she would be there in a heartbeat.

Belle hasn't spoken to Derek since they left for New York City. She feels to guilty to speak to him, she really regrets everything she said to him and she wish she could take it all back. She really didn't mean any of the things she said to him, she knows it wasn't his fault but she was just so angry at him for trusting kate. She also knew that because of her he probably now blamed himself for the death of their family. She just hope that one day he would be able to forgive her and she prays that he will forgive himself.

She was brought out of her thoughts by Dr Deaton. "Yes even I am highly baffles about all of this." He said nodding in agreement. "Dr Deaton how is this even possible. I wasn't even bitten, how am I even a werewolf let alone an alpha?" Belle asked her voice getting louder with each word.

"Honestly Isabel when it comes to you I've come to learn to expect the unexpected. I do have a theory however." Deaton said and belle sighed. "Well are you going to tell me this great theory you have about my unexpected 'werewolfness'" Belle said and Deaton smiled.

"You know Belle, around the time you were born Talia came to me in need of some information. She wanted to know if it were possible for a wolf to be born an alpha. I didn't think anything about it at the time, but I now think that you were the reason that she came to me. I believe you WERE actually born a alpha Isabel." Deaton said. "No, no that can't be. I, I wasn't a werewolf before THAT NIGHT Dr Deaton." She said. She was really beginging to freak out. "You know Belle Alpha have extraordinary powers. And Talia was a very powerful alpha, if she wanted to she could have easily put a bind on another werewolfs abilities rendering them powerless making them seem almost human." Deaton said and this left Belle very confused.

"Why would she do that to me though, why would she bind my wolf." Belle asked frantically. "Think about it Isabel you were a baby. And an alpha at that. You wouldn't have been able to control the shift and it could have been dangerous to you as well. And plus the extent of your ability are unknown and If word got out that you were born an alpha that would have put you in grave danger. I honestly believe that your parents and Talia did what they did to keep you safe" deaton said

Belle let out a breath that she didn't know she was holding in, this was a lot to take it. Sure she understood why they would have done it but that didn't make any of this easier. They should have at least told her the truth. At least then she would have been some what prepared for this outcome. To tell the truth she was terrified, what if she was unable to control the shift. What if her been born an alpha ment that her wolf would control her instead of her controlling her wolf. "So do you think that Talia dying is what broke the bind she put on me?" She asked "exactly" Deaton replied.

"I still don't understand. I didn't think that I could be both an emissary and a werewolf its impossible right" Belle asked "Belle you should know by now that you are very different from everybody else. You are special, I've seen you do incredible things. Things that are suppose to be impossible. You have powers that I can only dream of. You've done things I never thought possible. You've once again outplayed the balance of nature." Dr Deaton said seriously.

"Okay I get it I'm different, fine. But have you ever heard of someone else being born an alpha?" She asked. "Have I ever told you the legends of the alphas?" He asked and Belle shook her head. "It is said that there are three types of alpha's. The first one is the normal alpha the one who gets that power from another alpha dying..." He said and Belle nodded her head before Deaton continued again.

"The second is called a true alpha. A Beta or Omega can become an Alpha through strength of character or force of will alone. These are called "True Alphas" and are very rare. If a true alpha dies without being killed by another wolf that power will be passed thought the family... Talia's power and abilities came from a true alpha and now so does Laura's." Deaton said and Belle froze.

"Wait how is that possible." She asked surprised "over a hundred years ago one of the decendent of the Hale pack had become an alpha through strength of character alone. He was a true alpha. That power has been passed down through each generation making the Hale pack the strongest in our world. It is reason that Talia is able to phase into a actual wolf. That's also the reason why every other werewolf alpha or not had feared her." Deaton said.

"So Laura is technically as that power now but can she phase into a real wolf also? and also what if someone killed an alpha decendent of a true alpha will they have that power too?" Belle asked curiously.

"Yes she will be able to phase just like her mother... If its a blood relative of a true alpha that were to kill him/her then that person will also have the abilities the same abilites I suppose." Deaton said thoughtfully

"Okay so what's the last alpha." Belle asked. "This one is said to be a myth because nobody has ever witnessed this happen before. Well until now." Deaton said giving Belle a pointed look. "The last one is called a Pure Alpha, a werewolf who is pure of heart and soul will be BORN an alpha. They were said to be very powerful and also have the ability to Phase into an actual wolf and other extraordinary abilities none have ever seen before. I strongly believe Belle that you are the PURE ALPHA.

END FLASHBACK

She was brought out of her thoughts by a sleepy voice coming from the back seat. "Are we there yet" Cayden asked as he stretched waking Phoebe up in the process. "Yes kiddo were finally home. She said as she got out of the car and opened the back door ushering both of the out of the car. "Gosh I'm so happy to be home, I really missed Beacon Hills" said Phoebe as she ran into the Carson house. Well it was more like a mini mansion. Phoebe's father was actually quite rich when he was alive and now all that money went to Phoebe but Cayden and herself did get a small amout each of that fortune also.

Not that she was complaining, after all she and Cayden inherited a very large amount after the fire, infact so did Derek and Laura. After all the hale pack was loaded.

Her mind then went to Derek she knew that he was back in town as well and she knew that sooner of later they would meet. Fear soon set in. Does he hate her now? Will he even want to see her let alone talk to her? She really has missed him, more than anything else in the world and can't help but wonder if her missed her too.

She shook she head trying to get rid of those thoughts she could worry about that tomorrow. Right now all she wanted to do is have a nice shower and go to bed, which is exactly what she did. But from the moment she closed her eyes she only dreamed of one person and one person only. Derek Hale
