Bella Pov

"These belong to you I believe?" I heard Severus' voice.

Looking up he had a small stack of postcards in his hand, I frowned but took them from him anyway, I flicked through them quickly and a small smile spread across my lips, they were from Jasper.

There was a picture of him and a beautiful ginger girl, who he had explained was another Vampire - Anya Ross, in Ireland. There were some more pictures of Jasper and Anya with a pair of Vampires in Germany, exclamations of how much he loved travelling.

Flicking through all of them I couldn't help but grin as the other Vampires that were now travelling with Jasper added bits in and signed the bottom as well. The latest card was from China, there were pictures of 5 Vampires on the Great Wall and a hastily written down explanation that they were going to Guilin before visiting the Yangtze River and then going to Mongolia.

"Thanks Severus." I muttered, the Potions Master's lips turned up slightly at the corners and he nodded before leaving the room. This paperwork was getting tedious, Dumbledore had just dropped it on her saying that he could trust her to do it then flounced off, well more like strode away purposely, but you know.

I had made sure that the Ministry papers which would clear his name were fixed first before arranging all his others bills and finally a small, private funeral. I hadn't been asked into any Order Business as of late, for which I was extremely grateful.

I had found that my insomnia had reared its ugly head since I got Remus' letter and have been surviving on coffee and an hour of sleep a night, if that. I was running on fumes and even they are burning out too fast, my eyelids felt like lead but every time I tried closing my eyes images flashed constantly; Sirius, the fire which must have killed my family, Charlotte and Alexander, Sirius, Minerva when she found out about Nicholas, Gideon and Fabian, Sirius, Severus' reaction to losing Adomir, Sirius… it was a never ending cycle of vicious torment.

Currently I was writing a list of who should be invited to the funeral; Me, Charlie and the Weasley's, Harry, Hermione, Dumbledore, Minerva, Poppy, Rosmerta, Remus, Tonks, Moody there wasn't anyone else I could think of. Severus was welcome to come but I doubted he would be there. It was a memorial service as there was no body, but he would have a headstone all the same, no wake though, that was asking too much.

I sighed; the constant papers and unrelenting thoughts were giving me a headache, I needed to sleep. Wandering upstairs I nodded to Remus as I went, he at least, to some extent, knew what I was suffering through, I entered the room offered to me and Charlie and dropped onto the bed.

Unable to keep my eyes open, I allowed them to close; my last conscious thought was only to nap for an hour or so.

"Your necklace is beautiful." Sulpicia said.

Unconsciously I fingered the small necklace around my neck; it wasn't very big only about 2cm at its widest point but it was special to me. My mother had given me it as a Christmas present a week before she had died.

It was a blood ruby cut into the shape of a heart; a tiny silver snake with black diamond eyes wound tightly around the pendant and bit onto the chain which was intricately woven to look like a very thin vine.

It was a family heirloom I was told, meant to be passed down to the eldest Black daughter in each family or should there be no daughter, it'd be passed to the eldest son to pass onto his daughter and so forth. Bellatrix Lestrange should have one but instead of a ruby heart it should be sapphire. It was of course passed down from Pollux Black to Walburga to my mother; Cassandra and then to me, it should then be passed down to my daughter should I have one.

"Thank you. It's a family heirloom."

"I killed Sirius Black! I killed Sirius Black!"

Flames licked my arms and smoke filled my lungs, the house was falling around me, the constant crackling of the fire drowning out any other noise. I couldn't breathe. I couldn't breathe but I needed to get Severus. "SEVERUS!"

Rushing through a crumbling doorway into the living room, pictures were diminishing into nothing but ash, "ADOMIR?"

Sirius is dead.

Benjy grinned up at me from the foot of the stairs, "C'mon slow poke, presents!"

"You didn't know Sirius like I did!"

"Are they really dead Bella?"

"I'm so sorry Remus."

The inhuman cry from him as reality finally came crashing around his feet was heart-breaking, there was a pounding of feet and healers came rushing into the room to drug him. Tears flooded my eyes, the werewolf had already lost so much for being who he was and now life had to go and throw this at him.

Still listening to the struggles I left the room, leaning against the wall behind me and trying to stop myself from crying.

"I killed Sirius Black! I killed Sirius Black!"

"Mummy, look at the flowers I brought you." A dirty 6 year old me grinned at my Mother; caked in mud and grass stains holding out an uneven bunch of daisies, tulips and roses which I had picked from the garden

"They are beautiful honey, I shall put them in water now." My mother smiled.

"Your family were killed in a Death Eater attack."

"Do try and pay attention lest your fall asleep and drown in your cauldron." Snape drawled behind me. I jumped, barely managing to catch my quill before I dropped it on the floor in a half-asleep state of mind.

"I killed Sirius Black! I killed Sirius Black!"

My eyes snapped open. Apparently I wasn't sleeping now then either, glancing at the clock by my side I growled when I realised I had only had my eyes closed for 30 minutes. Swearing colourfully in varying languages I stormed downstairs towards the coffee.

I shoved past Bill Weasley as I went, not bothering to respond to his questions. Throwing open the kitchen door; I ignored the shocked looks sent my way as I launched myself towards the pot of coffee on the side.

Then my one-track vision on the glorious black coffee was obscured by a person. "Move now or so help me you will be out of the fucking door and in China before you can draw your wand." I hissed scathingly.

Moody looked at me unimpressed, his magical eye whirling in its socket. "You have three seconds before I remove your other arse cheek."

"I would move now if I were you mate, she wouldn't hesitate start a duel." Charlie spoke up.

"No. She's had enough coffee." He replied gruffly.

"Tell me Alastor; have you ever fought a woman who is lacking so desperately in the sleep department, facing caffeine withdrawal, has had no pain killers and is on her period, before?" I asked sweetly, head tilted to the side.

"No."

"Then move your fucking arse, because I tell you now; not even Voldemort, Grindelwald and Dumbledore together could stop me from getting to that coffee pot." I hissed, wand coming up to point at his face.

Moody glared at me. Still he took his time as he moved out of the way allowing me access to the coffee. I must say I am surprised I didn't start foaming at the mouth when I told him nothing could stop me.

I glanced at the clock on the wall; it was only 11:30…It's going to be a bloody long day.

R + R? Pretty please? :)
