Katniss Everdeen stared at Gale through the gap in the trees, this was one of their hunting games, kind of like hide and seek. Gale tiptoed cautiously expanding his senses out to hear Katniss. She grinned and readied herself to pounce but just as she tensed her muscles Gale whipped around and pulled her out the tree he stumbled and they landed on the floor Katniss on top of Gale, she laughed along with Gale until she realised how close they were his nose touched hers she stopped laughing abruptly and held her breath unsure of what to do. Gale leaned in close to Katniss and slowly brushed his lips against hers. The kiss lasted only a few seconds before Gale pulled away.

Katniss stared at Gale intently she thought to herself What has just happened? I've always had feelings for Gale but this? This was completely unexpected.

Katniss's POV

It has been two weeks since Gale kissed me, I've been completely avoiding him. I didn't go hunting with him last week, but I can't act like nothing happened, it's always on my mind.

I walk into school and straight to my locker, Gale is opposite me with a couple of friends around him. I see some of the girls from his year looking at him, I don't know why but I feel anger boil in my blood, I clench my hands and then unclench them and before I can even realise what I'm doing I walk over to Gale pushing through his friends. He raises his eyebrows and I smirk pushing him against the lockers. I press my lip against his slowly at first, Gale kisses me back his hands snake around my waist and he pulls me closer. I tangle my hands in his hair I heard a girl gasp and I smirked against his lips and I pull away cheeks flushed

"Wow..I just... wow" Gale breathed I grinned and tapped his nose spinning on my heels I turn away leaving Gale dumbfounded Let the games begin...

Gale caught up with me by the end of school he slipped his hand into mine and we carried on walking. I sneaked a look at him from the side, his jaw was defined and his blue eyes sparkled with joy, I looked down at his attire, his shirt was tight enough that you could see his abs I rose an eyebrow he had definitely been working out. Gale noticed me staring

"What?" I shook my head and we carried, on to my house I could hear Lady in the back yard. Prim mustn't have fed her yet which probably meant we she wasn''t home, I turned to Gale wrapping my arms around his waist "We have the house to ourselves?" I nodded and Gale smirked and picked me up I wrapped my legs around his waist he trailed kisses down my neck and lay me on sofa, I squirmed as he scattered kisses over my collar-bone, he went to unbutton my shirt and I pulled away shaking my head

"No" I managed "I'm not losing my virginity on a couch" He touched my lips with his fingers and nodded, I pulled him close kissing him passionately I put my hands around his neck and I flipped us over so I was on top "Gale I-" The door opened and in came Prim

"Katniss where are you? I know your here you shoes are on the floor" I peeked over the couch to see prim in the kitchen with a goats cheese. She wandered back outside and I jumped of Gale pulling him up and shoving him into the bedroom the door he tried to argue I hushed him. Just as Prim walked into the room, she smirked "You're hiding something Katniss" I blushed shaking my head furiously "Hah you're hiding someone aren't you Katniss, So unless you want me to tell mum I suggest you tell me who it is" I scowled. This is not going to be good
