In the early evening of the next day Tori was in the kitchen loading the dishwasher and cleaning the work surfaces. The kitchen didn't even need cleaning but she was desperate to find something to distract her. It had been exactly 20 hours since Jade had stormed out of her house and Tori was counting the minutes. Beck and Andre had been over several times that day between going out and looking for the pale teen. Jade had left with nothing but her car, leaving her phone and her purse in Tori's house. Beck was freaking out, not just because his girlfriend had mysteriously disappeared but also because it was completely obvious to him that Tori and Andre weren't telling him the whole story, they were acting so guilty. He kept asking them to be honest with him but Tori had warned Andre not to say anything about the pregnancy. Jade would never forgive her if they let that slip. But as time went on Tori didn't know how long she would be able to keep the truth from him.

Suddenly there was a knock at the door and Tori ran to the door anxiously. By this point she was sure it would just be Beck or Andre so the relief was even more overwhelming when she realised Jade had finally come back.

'Jade oh my God! Are you ok?' Tori asked pulling the goth into a hug

'I'm fine Tori chill' Jade frowned pushing Tori off of her.

'Where have you been!?' Tori cried exasperatedly

'Just.. clearing my head' Jade sighed sitting down on the sofa and staring at the blank tv. Tori found her behaviour slightly weird but she wasn't going to push her, since she'd only just got back and she didn't want to drive her away again. As soon as Tori was sure Jade was here to stay, Tori went about seeing she was ok. She seemed fine just a little sleep deprived and Tori set about making her some food and forced her to drink some water.

'I went to the clinic' Jade confessed quietly as Tori took a seat next to her on the sofa.

'Oh my god' Tori gasped, turning to face her friend gravely. Jade had never once talked about getting an abortion to her so this had obviously been a spur of the moment decision. 'Did you..?'

Jade shook her head 'I thought about it. I wanted to get control of the situation and I thought if I could just make everything go away..' she admitted her thoughts quietly, 'But I couldn't stop thinking about this tiny baby. Maybe with Beck's beautiful skin or my blue eyes and I just..' Jade had to stop talking as this was way too much.

'I'm glad you didn't go through with it' Tori squeezed her friends arm and smiled sadly. She could sense this had not been an easy couple of hours for her.

'Look, I have to phone Andre and Beck.. they've been out looking for you' Tori confessed.

'Oh Tori why?! I was only gone for a day. What did you tell Beck?' Jade began to panic

'Only that you had been staying here for a while and that you were upset when you left' Tori said calmly pulling her phone out of her pocket and dialing. Jade squeezed the bridge of her nose repeating the word 'shit, shit, shit' over and over. This had completely spiraled out of control. There was no way Beck was ever going to let this go.

About half an hour later, there was a knock at the door as Beck and Andre arrived together. Jade stood up as Tori went over to the door to let the guys in. When the door opened the girls caught a glance at the guys expressions, Beck looked extremely concerned whereas Andre just looked guilty.

'Jade, oh my God where have you been!?' Beck asked, relief overwhelming him as he saw his girlfriend stood in the living room. Jade just shrugged not even looking at him. How could she begin to explain the situation?

'Come on you have to talk to me' Beck said anxiously as Tori and Andre took tentative steps towards the kitchen.

'I live here now' Jade said quietly.

'You live here now?' Beck repeated bewildered. It was silent for a few seconds as Andre and Tori quickly backed out of the room, closing the door behind them.

'What's going on Jade?'

'Beck I..' Jade stumbled on her words, unable to look directly into his eyes. Her heart was racing and she felt so vulnerable about what she was about to say.

'Jade whatever it is, you can trust me' Beck said softly, 'You know that I-'

'I'm pregnant' she interrupted, rushing the words out quickly.

'Wh- what?' Beck's eyes practically jumped out of his head in shock.

'Do I have to say it again?' Jade sniped, sounding wounded.

'Are you sure?' Beck asked still in complete shock. Jade just nodded and Beck ran his hand through his hair exhaling, 'How long have you known?'

'A while' Jade admitted, her voice cracking as the lump in her throat stung. Beck didn't reply and she knew he was waiting for her to elaborate, she took a deep breath before continuing, 'I took a pregnancy test about 3 weeks ago, and my Dad kicked me out'

'Why didn't you tell me?' Beck looked devastated.

'I'm telling you now aren't I? Jade whispered looking up at him. 'Are you angry?' she had tears rolling down her cheeks and she could barely see through the sea of them that filled her eyes.

'No I'm just upset you didn't trust me' Beck stated, hurt evident in his voice 'Why are you crying? You never cry' Beck asked softly, suddenly realising how subdued his usually feisty girlfriend was behaving.

'I don't know' Jade sniffed, wrapping her arms around her body 'It's like I'm this completely different person and all I want to do is cry all the time'

'Shhh, oh babe' Beck said as she broke down. Beck was completely taken aback and stepped closer to her, needing to comfort her.

'I'm so scared' Jade confessed as Beck pulled her into a hug, wrapping his arms around her. 'I've been so scared.'

'Hey it's alright' Beck stroked her hair lovingly 'You should have told me baby, you didn't have to go through this by yourself.' Beck was shocked by the amount of crying she was doing - she was normally so strong.

'Close your eyes' Beck said calmly, looking down into her teary face. As soon as her eyes fluttered closed her body reacted naturally as it would if you hadn't slept all night and she held onto him fatigued. Beck carefully took her into his arms and carried her upstairs to the guest bedroom. Laying her down on the bed, Beck tucked her into the duvet and she buried her face into the pillow.

Beck slid into the bed next to her and Jade lifted her head from the pillow and looked at him vulnerably. He motioned her closer to him and without hesitation Jade snuggled up to him fitting neatly into the space between his arm and his lean torso. She could feel the steady beat of his heart and the gentle rising of his chest as he breathed and she was calm. It was the calmest she'd felt in a long, long time.

'I'll take care of you' Beck promised, pressing a sweet kiss to her temple, 'I'll take care of both of you' he repeated placing a hand gently on her stomach. Jade felt weak and she pressed her face into his chest crying tears of relief.

'Sleep' Beck suggested once her tears began to subside. He could tell she was exhausted and he was no expert but he knew all this emotional stress wasn't healthy for a pregnant woman. But he needn't have said anything as her breathing had already become heavy and her eyes were almost completely closed as he kissed her goodnight.

Once he was sure she was asleep, Beck allowed himself to fully take everything in. He couldn't believe they had let this happen. He placed his hand over Jades stomach protectively and for the first time he felt the slight swelling of Jades stomach. It was overwhelming and although he knew he should be angry with himself or the situation all he could feel was an immense love for Jade and for this tiny person - half him, half her.

Beck stayed with Jade for 6 hours. It was almost midnight by the time Beck ventured out of the room and he kissed her on the cheek and crept downstairs. Jade was obviously going to be out of it for a while and he needed to talk to Tori. Tori was watching a movie when Beck approached but she muted the tv as soon as she realised he was there.

'Hey' Beck said earnestly taking a seat on the couch opposite the half Latina.

'Oh hey' Tori replied, seeming surprised to see him downstairs, 'Is everything alright?' Tori asked nervously. Beck exhaled, that was a difficult question to answer right now.

'I guess you knew about this right?' Beck asked. Tori nodded and he couldn't help but feel a little hurt that she had known before him.

'Don't hold it against her she hasn't been thinking straight' Tori said apologetically, after seeing his reaction.

'How has she been holding up?' Beck asked curiously.

'Honestly?' Tori asked. Beck nodded; he only wanted the truth from now on, no more cover ups or sugar coated stories.

'She's had insane morning sickness and is basically an emotional wreck' Tori confessed 'But she's coping' Beck exhaled once again and covered his eyes with his hands.

'Just tell me everything.'

When Beck made his way back upstairs he was surprised to see Jade had actually woken up since he'd been downstairs. Leaving the door slightly ajar he stepped back into the room and approached the bed. Jade had changed into one of his many shirts that she had borrowed from him at some point or another and some pyjama shorts and her baby bump was just showing. To him she only looked more beautiful but the miserable look on her face interrupted his thoughts.

'Whats up Babe?' Beck asked concernedly, taking a seat next to her on the bed.

'I don't feel well' Jade confessed, holding her stomach and grimacing.

'Oh, Tori told me about the evening/morning sickness.' Beck said beginning to rub her back sympathetically. 'Can I do anything?'

Jade sighed and rested her head on his shoulder 'This helps a bit.'

'Then I'll do it all night if thats what it takes' Beck said continuing to rub circles on the small of her back. A shadow of a smile spread across the pale girls face.

'Was that a smile Miss West?' Beck asked teasingly.

'You're a sap' Jade pointed out. Beck just smiled and kissed her lips softly. It was a caring kiss. Wrapping his arms around her gently he pulled them both back onto the bed and kept rubbing her back as she rested tranquil on his chest.

'Beck.. I know we didn't plan this and I know were young, but a part of me just really wants this' Jade confessed in a whisper, anxiously awaiting his reaction.

'I know' Beck said quietly, kissing her cheek, 'I do too.'

'Really?' Jade asked hopefully

'We have to grow up now. No more stupid fighting because it's not going to be easy, it's going to be really, really hard.' Beck said seriously 'But I want a baby with you; always have.'

Jade kissed him fully on the lips at this point, for the first time in her pregnancy feeling completely happy.

'Are we crazy?' Jade asked.

'Maybe' Beck smiled 'But I've never been surer of anything. Things happen for a reason you know? No more being scared ok?'

Jade shook her head, 'I'm not scared anymore'

'I love you' Beck rubbed his nose against hers,

'I love you too' Jade snuggled into his embrace.

Tori came upstairs a little while later and peeked into the guest room. Beck and Jade were both fast asleep, legs tangled together and holding each other close. Tori smiled faintly before dimming the lights a little and closing the door. It didn't matter how crazy things got, Beck and Jade always came back to each other. They just couldn't help it.
