Not my favourite chapter but I tried my best. Hope you like it :)

Only a couple of hours into the party and the apartment was filled with guests. The music was loud, the atmosphere lively and everyone appeared to be enjoying themselves. Cats bedroom and the kitchen had become a hang out for many of the Hollywood Arts students, the balcony for Beck's cast mates and the living room for family. But it didn't take long before everyone started to mix and socialise with each other.
Beck took the liberty of giving guests guided tours of the apartment. The only room that was completely out of bounds was Elsa's bedroom. Neither Beck nor Jade wanted people touching or bringing germs into the untouched nursery, and they instructed the gang to ensure the door was kept firmly shut.
Louise introduced Jade to every Cousin, Aunt and relative in the Oliver family. She'd met some of them before but never this officially. Jade thought she was going to hate talking to them but actually they were all kind of cool, wacky and many of them dramatic. It was nice hearing their funny stories about Beck and most of them seemed genuinely excited to welcome her and Elsa into the family
'So theres only three weeks until the big day?' One of Beck's many aunts asked overexcitedly.
'Uh huh' Jade replied passively. She had already answered this question at least forty times this week.
'Think how big she'll be in three weeks if she's this size now.. Obviously Elsa's going to be a big baby' Several of the other women nodded.
'Haha... no no.' Jade shook her head nervously.
'Beck was a big baby' Beck's grandmother added.
'Oh God, you never told me that' Jades eyes widened, turning to Louise.
'Stop scaring the girl' Louise smirked. 'Have you got everything ready for the hospital?'
'Yeah I think we're set, we just need Elsa now'
'Well, she'll be here before you know it' Another of Beck's elder relatives nodded. 'Does this mean we'll be hearing wedding bells soon?' Jade smiled back uncomfortably as several of Beck's aunts gasped and turned to look at her with demented grins.
'I think... I'm gonna go to the bathroom' Jade excused herself quickly. Louise offered her an apologetic smile and a hand up as the pregnant girl escaped the sudden high pressure of the living room.
Having finally escaped Beck's family, Jade made her way onto the balcony where she found Tori and Andre sitting at the table and getting to know some of the actors from England who Beck worked with on the movie. They were all laughing loudly and seemed to be in some sort of contest impersonating each others accents. Andre was just finishing a rather horrific attempt at a Cockney accent when Jade approached.
'Was that supposed to be a drunken turtle impression or..?' Jade raised an eyebrow.
'I happen to think that was pretty good, right guys?' Andre gestured to the group of brits. None of them agreed, most of them either looking away or mumbling non-confirming responses.
'Sucks to be you Harris' Jade smiled smugly as Andre furrowed his eyebrows at her.
'I thought it was awesome, very Harry Potter' Tori smiled at her boyfriend supportively.
'Aww thanks baby' Andre leant in, kissing her appreciatively on the lips. They were only kissing for a couple of seconds before Jades disgusted groan interrupted them.
'Warn me when you're going to do that.. Or I might just puke' Jade furrowed her brows. A few of the british guys laughed at Jades response whilst the couple just shook their heads at her.
'You are the most hypercritical person.' Andre pointed out. The pale girl just shrugged her shoulders neither denying nor confirming his point. They had spent four years of putting up with her and Beck's PDA's. Andre raised an eyebrow as Tori pressed a final kiss on his cheek.
'Jade.. sit down' Andre ordered caringly, pulling his girlfriend giggling onto his knee.
'Don't tell me what to do!' Jade glared but accepted Tori's seat after only a few seconds of protest.
'Wait you're Jade..? The Jade?' one of the Brits spoke up.
'And you are?' Jade glared in the direction of the voice.
'The name's Calum' A blond haired, british guy introduced himself
'Last name?' Jade raised an eyebrow.
'Bridges' Calum smiled, putting his hand out. Jade frowned and allowed him to shake two of her fingers.
'You don't know who I am?' Calum asked surprised.
'Oh I know who you are..' Jade analysed the guy carefully whilst the rest of the table watched the interaction interestedly. She'd already heard all about Beck's costar and now close friend 'So.. Beck tells me you like scissors?' Jade asked curiously.
'I love scissors' Calum confirmed. 'Favourite movie?'
'The scissoring' Jade replied easily.
'The first or second'
'The second was amazing but the first is a classic' Jade replied.
'Well obviously.. Tawny Walker Black is legendary.'
'Tell me about it, I want to marry that woman' Jade exclaimed
'What about Beck?' Andre exclaimed.
'Oh he knows' Jade smirked turning back to the blond 'Coffee?'
'You have some?' Calum widened his eyes eagerly
'Ugh no.. Beck won't let anyone bring it in the apartment' Jade scoffed 'I just want to smell it not drink it!'
'I can't function without coffee. I'd be having withdrawal symptoms for months if I quit cold turkey.' Calum confessed.
'Ha! Trust me I learned the hard way that coffee and pregnancy don't mix.' Jade shuddered.
'Do I even want to know?' Calum asked skeptically.
'You really don't' Tori shook her head.
'Wait.. so you're like the British Jade?' Andre confirmed, only just catching up with what was going on.
'Nope. She's just the American me' Calum smirked leaning back in his chair.
'Excuse me Bridges I think you'll find I'm the original here' Jade furrowed her brows.
'Let me see.. West. I think you'll find i'm older than you so that makes me the original by default.'
'I have a feeling this is going to go on for a while' Tori whispered to Andre as she listened to the pair bickering.
'You wanna get out of here?' Andre whispered back
'Out of here?' Tori questioned.
'Upstairs?' Tori looked around at the rest of the party guests who were all chatting and barely paying attention to them and nodded, biting her lip seductively. They were seconds from slipping away when Jade turned to Tori with an anxious look .
'Could I talk to you for a sec?' The pregnant girl asked seriously. Tori pushed Andre's arm from around her shoulders almost guiltily
'Are you okay?' Tori asked, nodding towards her stomach 'You're not..'
'No stupid. I just need to.. ask you something. Alone' Jade glanced at Andre.
'Okay..' Tori gave Andre an apologetic look. Jade stood up and made her way inside.
'What about you know.. upstairs?' Andre said quietly.
'Later maybe' Tori smirked kissing the disappointed guy on the cheek and following Jade back into the apartment
'Sooo what's all this about?' Tori asked intrigued as Jade locked the bathroom door behind them. The pale girl had a determined look on her face when she turned to her.
'I need to ask you something' Jade repeated firmly.
'You've made that clear' Tori raised an eyebrow.
'You're my best friend right?' Jade expressed. Tori widened her eyes, those being the last words she thought would come from her mouth.
'Uhh yeah. I mean you've never explicitly said that before but sure.. we're best friends' Tori said confused.
'Ok' Jade sat down on the lid of the toilet, biting her nails anxiously. She appeared to be struggling to find her words. 'I want..' Jade began. 'I mean if you don't mind' Jade stopped and shook her head.
'Is this the same thing you wanted to talk to me about before when you made up that dumb phone excuse?'
'No' Jade lied.
'Uh huh?' Tori raised her eyebrow skeptically, taking a seat on the corner of the bath and crossing her legs.
'Would you help me?' Jade sighed.
'Help you with what?' Tori asked but Jade shook her head.
'You know what It doesn't even frigging matter!' Jade snapped angrily, standing up and making her way over to the door.
'Jade!' Tori called after her as she unlocked the bathroom door. Jade swooped away as fast as she could. Even at nine months pregnant Jade could get away quickly when she really wanted to and this was one of those times. Bewildered Tori left the bathroom and went to find her friends.
The party continued and Beck's parents being the dramatic people they are gave hilarious speeches in celebration of their sons birthday. Everyone was dancing and having fun as the night went on. But by half eleven Jade needed an escape. She went into the kitchen and leant against the counter exhausted. Her back hurt, her feet hurt and not to mention Elsa kept kicking her repeatedly in the stomach.
'Baby please, do you have to do that to Mummy? I love you but I could really, really do without' Jade whispered as she soothingly stroked her stomach. She was just about to speak again when she felt someone come up behind her and a pair of warm hands began to lightly massage her shoulders. She instantly recognised the scent of her boyfriends cologne.
'Is she beating you up?' Beck chuckled pressing a tender kiss on her neck.
'I think she thinks my vital organs are her toys' Jade leaned against him seething. 'It hurts'
'Not long now beautiful' Beck continued to rub her tender body lovingly. 'I haven't seen you all night long.. are you having fun?'
'I am. I wasn't sure about this.. being so close to the due date and everything, but I'm glad we had this party. Are you having fun?' Jade reciprocated the question.
'More now I'm with you' Beck whispered into her ear. Jade smirked and hit him lightly in the chest as her boyfriend just grinned and captured her lips in a kiss. For a moment Jade completely forgot about all the aches and pains she was feeling. Beck had the ability to do that.. to just whisk her away into another world.
'I still have to give you your present' Jade whispered when their lips parted.
'You know you don't have to get me anything.. I think having my baby is a big enough present for a long time' Beck stroked her hair.
'Yeah yeah.. I still got you something so you better be grateful' Jade said warningly
'I am grateful' Beck replied.
'Good, but you'll have to wait until tonight. I don't want anyone else to see it'. Beck raised an eyebrow suggestively and Jade rolled her eyes. 'Don't get your hopes up for... that. I mean I'll try, but no promises.'
'Hey no, that's not happening. We're not going to "try" if you're not comfortable. No birthday sex.' Beck commanded.
'I never thought I'd hear you say that' Jade just laughed cuddling up to his chest
'Luv ya' Beck said softly, kissing her hairline.
'Hmm you better' Jade replied, keeping her eyes closed and just letting him hold her. They stayed that way for another ten minutes. Just escaping the madness of the party and cuddling together.
Around one in the morning, many of Hollywood Arts students decided to have a round of Karaoke and Cat and Robbie ending up having a sing off which ended in the majority of the room singing a massive Grease mashup. The only person from Hollywood Arts who didn't really join in was Tori. Beck found her sitting at the top of the stairs and watching the party going on below her.
'Has err Jade talked to you yet?' Beck asked carefully.
'Has Jade talked to me about what?' Tori raised an eyebrow.
'Stuff' Beck shrugged.
'Come on Beck.. One of you has to say something'
'It's not my place to tell you' Beck admitted.
'She's tried to talk to me about something a few times today but she keeps changing the subject' Tori sighed perplexed.
Beck shook his head unsurprised. It took Jade long enough to approach him about it. 'Try one last time' Beck smiled 'Maybe you could try rescuing her from my Mother. It seems as though someone has decided to hold a guess the size of Jades stomach contest and by the look on J's face she's about to murder' Tori peered down into the living room where Jade was sat shaking her head profusely as Louise held up a tape measure, pleading with her.
'It's either you rescue her or I do... and it's my birthday I don't want to fight with my Mum on my birthday' Beck feigned upset. Tori chuckled quietly and stood up.
'Just because it's your birthday' Tori joked stepping down the stairs to the living room. Working her way through the crowd of mostly women who were now surrounding Jade, Tori managed to get to the pregnant girl who looked completely relieved to see her.
'Sorry everybody it's an emergency! Jade is needed in the kitchen.' Tori helped the pregnant girl up who breathed a grateful sigh as they wormed their way through the guests and over to the kitchen.
'Thank.. God..' Jade shook her head, releasing a stressed breath. 'Theres not really an emergency right?'
'No I just thought I'd get you out of there. Feel alright?' Tori asked concerned. Jade looked a little pale for Tori's liking.
'Yeah I think I just need some air' Jade assured her
'Alright lets go sit on the balcony' Tori suggested. The two girls made their way outside to the empty balcony and Jade sat down on one of the outdoor chairs, resting her head on the table.
'Are you okay?' Tori asked, anxiously taking a seat next to her
'I'm fine' Jade reassured her.
'Uh huh.. and the truthful answer' Tori replied skeptically
'Tori..' Jade lifted her head up to look her in the eye seriously 'I'm fine. I'm not made of paper you know'
'Okay but you'll tell me if you're not fine.. yeah?' Tori insisted.
'Oh my god, please let me strangle you!' Jade groaned.
'Alright, alright I'll stop' Tori smiled, Jades violent sense of humor confirming that she was probably ok.
Jade closed her eyes, enjoying the feeling of the cool night breeze against her warm cheeks. Tori just looked out into the hills for a moment, admiring how beautiful Hollywood could be, in a sort of unconventionally elegant way. It was a peaceful moment.
'So.. you've been trying to ask me something all day?' Tori tactically broke the silence.
'No I haven't' Jade denied instantly.
'Jade come on.. It's me' Tori rolled her eyes exasperatedly. The pregnant girl just looked away, refusing to make eye contact with the tanned girl.
'Just ask me! What could possibly be so bad?' Tori cried.
'Fine..' Jade sat up. Tori kept quiet.. thinking if she waited she'd have to tell her. A whole three minutes passed before the pregnant girl spoke again
'I wanted to ask you if you would mind..' Jade trailed off towards the end of her sentence.
'What?' Tori listened carefully. Jade scowled as if it were her fault she hadn't heard her.
'I just want.' Jade stopped mid-sentence. Tori couldn't help but let out a slight chuckle. She had never seen Jade struggle so much to talk and it was kind of hilarious to watch.
'Why are you laughing?' Jade looked horrified.
'I've never seen you fight this hard to get words out' Tori smirked. Jade gave Tori one of her infamous death glares.
'Alright I'm sorry, what were you saying?' Tori backtracked.
'Forget it. If you're just going to laugh at me then I don't want you there anyway' Jade mumbled.
'Want me where?' Tori asked confused.
'Nowhere' Jade shifted looking uncomfortable. It was then that Tori noticed Jade unconsciously cradling her stomach and it suddenly clicked. Tori knew exactly where "where" was.
'Wait what?' Tori exclaimed in shock. Jade scowled defensively as Tori shook her head rephrasing her question 'I mean you want me there?' Jade nodded still not meeting her eye.
'Are you sure? I don't want to get in the way. What about Beck?' Tori said in surprise
'Look..' Jade sighed feeling self conscious 'I love and trust Beck completely and he's Elsa's Dad. I'll need him with me more than anyone in the world. But Beck's a guy, he's not going to get it. I trust you and I'm comfortable with you and I don't feel like that with a lot of people.'
'You want me with you when you're giving birth?' Tori confirmed. Suddenly feeling extremely honored and smiling sappily.
'Shut up. I hate you' Jade snapped at how blunt Tori could be about it. Those were the words she'd been trying to find the guts to say all day and then Tori just goes and says them like they're not even a big deal. Tori just smiled at Jades defensive response and lightly took hold of her hand.
'Beck said you've been worrying and freaking out about it recently' Tori approached cautiously. Almost the second the words left Tori's lips, Jade snatched her hand away.
'I'm not!' The pale girl glared.
'I wouldn't blame you if you were' Tori shrugged
'Look will you do it or not?' Jade sighed irritatedly.
'Jade if you want me to be there, then of course I will. Is that really what you were so worried about asking me?' Tori watched her response carefully.
'Well its not like I'm just inviting you out to Nozu. This is kind of a big deal for me.' Jade mumbled.
'I know.' Tori replied, not intentionally trying to trivialise Elsa's birth. 'It's a big deal for everyone. Everyones excited, I can't even begin to imagine how you're feeling about it.' Jade just shrugged and looked down at her nails.
'Are you nervous?' Tori probed.
'Look.. I can tell you want a heart to heart about it or something but I really, really don't.' Jade replied honestly.
'It might help if you talk about it' Tori suggested.
'It's not going to help.' Jade insisted, shaking her head. Tori sighed and looked at her friend carefully. She really didn't need her to tell her how she was feeling, the answer was written all over her face. Jade was scared.
'Give Tori a squeeze?' Tori held her arms out, deciding they needed to lighten the mood.
'You can come to me' Jade smirked, not about to move from the comfort of her chair. Rolling her eyes, Tori wrapped her arms around her friends large stomach and gave her a proper hug. She felt Jades weight as the pregnant girl exhaustedly rested against her. It was heavy for Tori for just those few minutes so she could imagine how exhausting it must be for Jade to carry that weight constantly. Jade relaxed just letting Tori hold her. She was just so relieved that the tanned girl had agreed to be at the birth. Tori was more involved in this pregnancy than anyone else and aside from Beck, she was the only person Jade actually trusted around her pregnant body. To not have Tori there would just feel wrong.
A mere six months ago Tori was the last person in the world Jade would have wanted as a birth partner but a lot of things were different now, her friendship with Tori being one of the biggest changes. She knew she was strong enough to do it without her.. but did she want to? Hell no.
By two am, most of the guests had dispersed and only close friends and family remained. Beck and Jade were in the living room slowly swaying to an old John Mayor album. Beck had one hand wrapped around Jades back and the other supporting her stomach as she just snuggled against him peacefully. They were vaguely aware that people were watching them but they really didn't care just enjoying being in each others arms.
Tori stood in the kitchen watching them intently. The couple just seemed so comfortable with each other and she couldn't help but envy that closeness they seemed to possess. She was still in deep thought when she felt Andre's arms slipping around her waist.
'Hey' Andre kissed her cheek softly.
'Hi' Tori replied leaning back against his chest. They didn't say anything to each other for a while both of them just watching Beck and Jade dance.
'Do you think we'll ever be like them?' Tori whispered softly. Andre gave his girlfriend a strange look, eyeing her washboard flat abs before replying nervously 'Like what now?'
'No I don't mean that' Tori smirked, hitting the dreaded guy lightly on the arm. Tori nodded back at the dancing couple 'Just.. like that'
Andre looked back at Beck and Jade. Jade was leaning against Beck's chest and had her eyes closed as they both rocked slowly to the music. Beck was looking down lovingly like he had his whole world in his arms. Pressing his lips to the top of the pregnant girls hair he just stayed like that for a few seconds.
'Are you falling asleep?' Beck whispered into Jades ear.
'Mmhm' Jade mumbled.
'Do you want to go to bed?' Beck asked softly. Jade slowly shook her head and nuzzled a little closer to his chest. Beck stroked a strand of her hair behind her ear and rubbed her back softly. 'Ok well I've got you'.
Turning away from the couple, and looking back down at Tori, Andre smiled and nodded 'I hope so.' Tori tilted her head back and closed her eyes as their lips met in a soft and sleepy embrace. It was only when Tori opened her eyes she realised they'd been kissing for almost ten minutes.
'Maybe we could do the upstairs thing now?' Tori whispered seductively. Andre looked over at the living room to make sure Beck and Jade were definitely preoccupied before allowing Tori to take him by the hand and lead them quietly up the stairs.
It was late and they were sleepy but it was as though the tension and lust in their relationship hit them all at once. They snuck into Beck and Jades bedroom and locked the door behind them. They were kissing intensely as they crashed down onto the bed and began to pull the clothes off each other. Andre's hot breath on her neck caused tingles down Tori's back as he pressed tender kisses to her skin.
Tori sucked on Andre's lips, hungry for more and feeling nothing but desire. It was only when Andre's hand slip into her panties that her breath hitched. She froze, allowing that small inkling of doubt to overtake and overwhelm her. She let him continue but stopped reciprocating, unable to think straight anymore. But when Andre's hands wandered a little further she realised she couldn't do this and abruptly pushed him away.
'Oh God.. I'm so sorry' Tori covered her face with her palms, her heart racing. She couldn't believe she'd done this again.
'Shh baby it's ok' Andre cautiously placed his hand on her cheek but she flinched away. Her breathing jagged as she became more and more freaked out. 'Don't cry.'
'Ugh shit' Tori panicked, pulling her clothes back on as fast as she could. 'Errr I just remembered.. my parents gave me a curfew.. I have to go.'
'Tori. Please can we talk about this?' Andre quickly pulled his shirt back on and stood up.
'I'm sorry Andre I just can't' Tori let herself out of the bedroom and fled as fast as she could. Tears were streaming down her cheeks for unknown reasons and all she knew was she needed to get out.. now.
Beck and Jade were cuddling on the couch when Tori bounded down the stairs. Both of them looked up startled by the sound of her heavy footsteps and watched concerned as she ran past them and out of the front door.
'Tor wait!' Jade shouted, trying to follow her. They had no idea what was going on but it was obvious that something had really upset her and it was late and dark outside. 'Beck go after her.. I'll never catch her' Jade anxiously ordered her boyfriend. The tanned guy ran out of the apartment in the direction he saw Tori go. It was difficult to see as it was the middle of the night, but he could vaguely see her silhouette striding quickly down the street and he jogged after her.
'Hey!' Beck said softly when he caught up with her. 'What's going on?'
'Nothing' Tori sobbed, continuing to power walk down the road. Before she could get any further away Beck grabbed her wrist and she fell into his arms upset. Beck held onto her in the street, hugging her tight against his chest. He had absolutely no idea what was wrong and she refused to tell him but there was no way he was going to let her walk home like this.
'I'm not going to make you tell me what made you so upset..' Beck said, once she'd finally calmed down 'But I'm going to give you two choices. Either you come back to ours and you can stay with Jade in our room or you let me drive you home.' Tori sniffed loudly and wiped away the last few tears with the back of her sleeve.
'I just want to go home' Tori whispered quietly.
'Ok.. we can do that' Beck rubbed her arm supportively before walking her back in the direction of the apartment. Somehow he'd managed to grab Jades car keys on his rush out of the house so opening the passenger door he let Tori into the car. Jade was peering out of Cats bedroom window and looked worried. Beck caught her eye and gave her a sign that she was ok before climbing in the car to drive Tori back to her house.
Tori didn't speak for the entire journey home. Having absolutely no idea why she'd reacted the way she had. Just something inside her told her to run. Pulling into Tori's driveway, the tanned girl unbuckled her seatbelt relieved to finally be home. She was about to quickly run inside when Beck spoke up.
'Tor.. whatever it is that upset you tonight. It will be okay' he said gently. Tori exhaled and shook her head.
'I just don't see how' Tori looked down embarrassed.
'Let me give you the advice I always give Jade when she's upset' Beck placed a gentle hand on her shoulder. 'It's the same advice I'll give Elsa if she's ever upset. So you know I mean it completely.' Tori nodded listening carefully to him.
'Everything seems worse when it's just happened. Get some sleep. Tomorrow you'll wake up with a clear head and everything won't seem so bad.' Beck said seriously
'I guess that's good advice' Tori sniffed, wiping her eyes. 'Thanks for driving me home, sorry if I ruined your birthday'
'No problem and you didn't don't worry. Text one of us tomorrow ok?' Beck said seriously.
'Ok' Tori nodded.
'And remember.. get some sleep, you'll feel way better in the morning' Tori nodded and gave the fluffy haired boy a small smile before letting herself out of the car. She ran inside straight up to bed and followed his advice but as she lay in bed thinking over everything that had happened, only one question occupied her mind. Had she ruined her relationship for good this time?
Calum may or may not be important in the future ;)
