Tori phoned the midwife and explained the situation and Emma agreed to meet them at the hospital. After cleaning up the living room, she cautiously went upstairs to see if the couple was ready to leave. She knocked on the door and luckily, Beck called her in. Tori entered the room and frowned in concern. Jade was leaning heavily on Beck struggling to cope with the pain.

"I cant do this Beck! It hurts so- Ahhhh!" Jade let out a pained shriek as a powerful contraction passed through her body.

"You can do it Jade. You're doing great!" Beck tried to reassure her but Jade's excruciating pain was near tangible.

"I think my back is broken." She whimpered.

"It's not broken Jade, it's just the contractions." he once again tried reassured her with a forced smile.

"Oh God! Owww!" Jade screamed, tears pricking in the corners of her eyes. Jade slumped against Beck's chest as he massaged her back soothingly.

"Her contractions are coming really quickly." Tori said anxiously.

"Is it that bad?" Beck asked nervously.

"No, but its not normal." Tori frowned. "She should only be getting them about every ten minutes, and she's definitely getting more than that."

"I'm going to die! Someone help me!" Jade hissed in panicked pain, her chest heaving and her labored breathing shook her entire frame.

"Right... Jade, listen to me ok?" Tori swapped places with Beck and started helping her gently rock her hips. Jade lay her head on Tori's shoulder, groaning in agony.

"Take steady breaths." Tori coached her. Eventually Jade regained some control over the situation and remembered the breathing exercises Emma had taught her.

"How bad is the pain on a scale from one to ten?" Tori asked calmly.

"N- nine!" Jade sobbed, her breathing starting to quicken into short pants.

"Jade listen to me. You have to calm down. I know it hurts, but its just what your body has to do right now." Tori remained composed. "We're not going to let anything happen to you."

"I'm scared." Jade whispered.

"I know, but it's going to be ok. You'll have Elsa soon, just think about Elsa." Tori said soothingly.

Meanwhile, Beck, after timing a couple of Jade's contractions, was back on the phone to the midwife. Something wasn't right.

"Yes, she's been having strong Braxton Hicks all day, and her water broke about ten minutes ago." Beck explained to the midwife.

"And how far apart would you say her contractions are now?" Emma inquired seriously.

"Maybe every two minutes." Beck replied, just as Jade let out an extremely loud wail.

"Beck, could you put Jade on the phone for me?" Emma asked nervously.

"I can try." Beck grimly handed the phone to Jade, who was still leaning heavily on Tori. The midwife talked her down for around five minutes before Jade handed Beck back the phone, seemingly somewhat calmer.

"Beck, I don't want to alarm you, but I don't know if its a good idea to move her." Emma warned seriously. "It's likely those Braxton Hicks she was experiencing was early labor, and from just the sound of her, I think she's in transition."

"What are you saying?" Beck felt his blood go cold.

"I'm saying... Unless you want to risk having your baby in the car, then stay in your apartment."

"Is that safe?!" Fear shot through Beck's veins as he anxiously ran a hand through his hair.

"It's safe, but you need to listen carefully." She cautioned. "You have two choices. Either you phone an ambulance, which will come and take Jade to hospital, or I can come and help her deliver there. I'm registered for home births and I'm only about fifteen minutes away."

"I think Jade would prefer it if you came here." He answered firmly.

"Ok, just make sure she's somewhere clean and warm. Be sure to find some towels that you don't want to use again. My assistant and I are on our way to your apartment. We'll be there as soon as we can. Just remember this is very natural, Jade knows what she's doing, so try to stay calm."

Beck ended the call, then walked over to the en suite to grab a bundle of towels. He returned and placed them next to Tori, who was rubbing Jade's back on the bed. Jade was in no fit state to talk objectively about how she was feeling, as she knelt, hands and knees on the bed. All of her concentration was on breathing through a contraction. He honestly couldn't find the words to tell her why they weren't leaving, but he had a feeling she already knew they wouldn't be going to hospital.

"I love you." Beck whispered, placing a soft kiss on the top of her head.

"Beck, go take five ok? Can you get your Mum here or something?" Tori asked the fluffy haired boy, who seemed completely thrown by the sudden turn of events. Beck nodded and left the room as Tori started rubbing Jades lower back.

"Oww."Jade whimpered softly.

"Does this help?" Tori asked sensitively.

"Mmhm."Jade nodded."Is Beck ok?"

'Yeah he's fine, don't worry about him, he'll be back in a minute, he'll get Louise here for you' Tori explained.

"Where's Cat?"

"Cat's in her room rehearsing. I don't think she even knows anythings going on." Tori reassured her. Jade relaxed in her brief break from the contractions and Tori gave her a supportive smile. She needed a reminder that this was a good thing. This was the end of months of tough pregnancy. This was the end of all the aches and discomfort she'd endured. She'd carried her baby to full term and by doing so, protected and nourished her and now she was ready to face the world.

"I wonder what she's going to look like." Tori wondered out loud. "Do you think she'll look more like you or Beck?"

Jade thought about her answer for a moment before describing her vision of her daughter. "I think she'll look like me, but with the tan I always dreamed of." Jade replied.

Tori chuckled, happy to see Jade still had her sense of humor. "Maybe, or she might be a mini Beck but with snow white skin and your ongoing wrestle with factor 50 will continue."

"If she does, Beck's on suncream duty for the rest of his life." Jade asserted

"I think he's already committed to that with you." Tori laughed.

"Hmm, if he knows what's good for him." Jade managed a smile despite all of the anxiety she was feeling right now. "I don't mind what she looks like, as long as she's ok."

"She'll be ok, Jade." Tori promised, but Jade shook her head.

"I should have listened to you both before when you told me to go to hospital - I'm a horrible mother." She sighed.

"You are not a horrible mother. You didn't know this was going to happen so fast. No one did. Now don't let me hear you say that again." Jade was surprised by Tori's strict tone. Under normal circumstances she would never have let her get away with that, but she just felt so guilty and in a twisted way, being told off made her feel better.

Tori continued to talk to her about Elsa and everything they would experience together in an attempt to distract her from the pain. It seemed to work as Jade breathed steadily while listening to her. That was, until another painful contraction spread across her stomach and Jade's wail interrupted her. Tori rubbed Jade's back, trying to keep her calm. She knew this was a normal part of labor, but it wasn't easy to watch her go through it.

By the time Beck returned, Jade was in tears. His expression pained as he saw how distressed Jade was. Stepping over to the bed, he sat down and cradled her in his arms, desperate to give her some sort of comfort.

"Shhh, it's okay baby. My mum's on her way." Beck hugged the pale girl as she cried against his chest weakly.

"Ugh god! Please never get me pregnant again." Jade wiped her eyes shakily.

"I won't." Beck agreed wholeheartedly as Tori returned with some water.

"Just sip it." Tori handed Jade the water. She took one cautious sip before handing it back. "You're doing so well Jade."

"I need to go on the floor." Jade insisted, crawling off the bed almost primally.

"No, Ja-" Beck protested, but she couldn't hear him over the sound of her loud wails. Beck knelt down on the floor right next to where Jade had positioned herself on her hands and knees.

"Aaaagh! Make it stop!"

"Jade, rock your hips sweetie." Tori instructed apologetically. Jade did and slowly came down from the pain to gasp in deep lungfuls of air. Something was definitely going on down there, something was changing.

'Hows the pain?' Tori asked again

"Horrible." Jade sobbed, already feeling another contraction coming on.

"Breathe through it, Jade." Beck encouraged her, rubbing her lower back.

"I need to push!" Jade announced loudly. Tori and Beck looked at each other in terror.

"Jade whatever you do, do not push." Beck said firmly.

"Beeeccckkkk!" Jade screamed before grunting uncontrollably. The urge to push this baby out was unbearable.

"Tor, phone Emma again please quick." Beck instructed realising he needed to do something

"Here, can you get back on the bed?" Beck asked.

"I can't stand." Jade whimpered and shook her head.

"Just try. For me?" Beck pleaded with her

"If I stand, she's going to fall out." Jade insisted.

"I promise you that won't happen." Beck assured her. Jade nodded but cried in pain as Beck pulled her up helping her take slow steps back to bed

"I'm sorry. I'm so, so sorry. It will be over soon." Beck apologized, sitting behind Jade so she could lean against him. She had her legs wide open, the pressure in her lower abdomen excruciating.

"Emma said she'd be here in five minutes. I'll go wait in the hall to let her in. You'll be fine. Elsa will be fine." Tori squeezed Jades hand encouragingly.

"Is Jadey ok?" Cat poked her head around the door just as Jade gave another ear piercing scream.

"She's fine Cat, just come with me." Tori ushered her quickly out of the room.

"I love you. I love you so much." Beck stroked the side of Jades face and ran an anxious hand through his hair as his girlfriend whimpered in pain.

"I need to push!" Jade insisted.

"Just hold on, Emma will be here in five minutes."

"I can't!" Jade moaned. "Beck help me, please!"

Beck knew he needed to get it together for both Elsa and Jade's sake but the reality of what that meant terrified him. He was no where near prepared for this, but he knew Jade couldn't resist her instinct much longer. The agony of watching her fight the urge was just as bad as watching her go through contractions. He got the feeling if she was going to push, he wasn't going to have much control over it. She was going to push. Carefully, he leant forwards and pulled Jades shorts down, throwing them aside. He wished more than anything now that they'd gone to the stupid birth classes.

"Alright, I'm gonna hold your thighs ok? Just do what your body's telling you to." Beck said confidently, somehow managing to keep the fear out of his voice.

"It hurts!" Jade wailed.

"I know baby, I'm sorry. Are you having a contraction right now?" Beck asked sympathetically. Jade shook her head no.

"If you feel like you need to, on the next one you can push, ok?" Jade buried her face into Beck's chest, waiting for the inevitable pain.

"What are we doing Beck?" Jade asked slightly delirious.

"You're having our baby, Jade." Beck could hardly believe his words. "You're helping our daughter, and you're doing great." Beck reassured her. Jade didn't get the chance to reply, as a painful contraction overwhelmed her body and she started to push.

"Slowly! Breathe, breathe." Beck coached her through the task. "Well done, beautiful. Rest now. Are you ok?"

Jade nodded, placing her hands on top of Beck's holding her thighs up. Her eyes closed concentrating completely on what she had to do. During the next few contractions Jade found comfort through her boyfriend's hands. She interlaced her fingers with his when she pushed and dug her nails into his skin when the contractions became unbearable.

"Oh God! I need to push, like a lot!" Jade suddenly screamed louder than ever before, then started crying hysterically. "Where the hell is everyone?!"

Warning signs flashed in Beck's head as he carefully slipped out from behind her. Jade laid back holding her thighs and humming, attempting to momentarily subdue the pain.

Beck took a cautious look at what was going on down there. It suddenly became very clear to him what was happening as he caught a glimpse of the top of their baby's head. Jade was giving birth right now, with no nurses, midwives or doctors around to help.

"Babe, don't be scared, but I think she might be ready to come." Beck admitted reluctantly. Jade wailed, but another contraction ripped through her body and the pressure was too much. She just scrunched her eyes up and pushed with everything she had, almost completely oblivious to her own high-pitched shrieks of pain.

"Jade look at me. Slow down. She's crowning, remember what we read about? Take it really slow, just take steady breaths."

"It huuurrrrtttsss!"she sobbed softly.

"You're almost done. I promise."

With another deep moan from Jade, the head was born. Beck gasped, his hands shaking as he made sure the umbilical cord wasn't wrapped around her neck. It was all he could do to just hold her head gently in his hands.

"Oh my god! Jade-" Beck began to panic. Suddenly, the door burst open and Emma came rushing over to the bed with her assistant and Tori close behind her. Jade cried a sob of relief when she saw them.

"Jade you're a star, just keep panting, you're in control. Beck that's perfect, stay exactly the way you are - do not pull." Emma warned. Tori took hold of Jades hand and kissed her cheek as the midwife slipped on some gloves and knelt on the bed next to Beck, also placing a hand underneath the tiny baby.

When the next contraction came, Jade pushed and with one last, deep moan the baby's tiny body was born, straight into her father's arms. With Emma's instruction he quickly lifted the tiny person and placed her gently on Jades chest. He couldn't help but feel relieved that Jade was through the worst. He couldn't stand to see her in that much pain anymore. But his relief was short-lived as he suddenly became frighteningly aware that his daughter was silent.

Emma rubbed the newborns back and chest with towels to encourage her to breathe whilst her assistant routed in her bag for a suction. She handed it over and Emma began to suction the babies mouth. Everyone watched in silence. Tori held tightly onto Jade's hand as her chest moved up and down taking in fast, heartbroken breaths. Beck was just completely paralysed.

"It's alright, she'll be alright." Tori whispered into Jades ear. Jade closed her eyes, unable to watch anymore. If she lost Elsa now, she'd just die.

After what felt like the longest minute of her life, suddenly Jade heard a tiny spluttery cough and an angry little cry. Her eyes opened wide and saw her daughter squirming on her chest. She looked up, her eyes meeting Beck's equally terrified ones before wrapping her arms around the tiny bundle.

"Hi beautiful, I'm your Mummy." Jade's voice broke as she cuddled the newborn closely, "I love you. I love you so much,"

Emma cut the cord as Beck sunk down on to the bed in impalpable relief. Jade just sobbed, holding her daughter protectively in her arms. The baby seemed to have finally found her lungs and was crying loudly to prove it. The state of shock both Beck and Jade were experiencing was more intense than anything they had ever felt.

"Elsa Rose Oliver yeah?" Jade cried, looking up at Beck for confirmation.

"Elsa Rose Oliver." Beck agreed, completely overwhelmed. He leant forwards and kissed Jade tenderly on the lips in their first kiss as parents.

"It's okay Elsie. We love you so much. You're safe, you're so safe." Beck cooed to the wailing newborn. Her cries eventually began to soften as Jade and Beck soothed her. She recognized their voices and it calmed her in a world where everything was different than what she was used to. Elsa blinked, looking up at her parents and Beck literally felt his heart ache with love when he realized she had the biggest bluest eyes he thought he'd ever seen.

"Now that's what you call making an entrance." Emma exhaled, smiling as the new parents cuddled with their daughter. Tori and Beck allowed themselves to laugh and the tanned teen pressed a tender kiss to Jades temple as she fought to get her breath back. Elsa was everything. They were all overwhelmed with love and emotion.

After giving them a few more minutes to bond and recover from the shock of the birth. Emma took Elsa aside to do her medical check and clean her up whilst her assistant checked over Jade. The second the midwife took the baby from her, Jade covered her face with her hands in a mixture of shock, relief and exhaustion.

"Hey, we're all so so proud of you." Tori gave Jade a gentle cuddle. "I'm going to go make sure Cat's alright. Is that ok?" The pale girl nodded, letting Tori go find the little red head who was alone downstairs. Elsa let out an agitated cry and Jade turned her head in the direction of the baby, another wave of tears overwhelming her.

"Jade?" Beck spoke softly, seeing her distress. "Babe its okay, you'll get Elsa back in a second. She's fine, Emma's just cleaning her up."

"Hold me." Jade whispered weakly. Beck didn't hesitate to wrap his arms around her and hold her close to his chest. She was shaking and crying, but happy and elated and completely in love all at the same time.

"Are you alright?" Beck asked worriedly. Jade nodded leaning against him.

"I love you so much. You did amazing and I'm more proud of you than you'll ever know." Beck whispered, stroking her face and tucking a couple of stray wisps of hair behind her ear. Jade closed her eyes, her fingers finding his as they held hands just wanting to hear that their daughter was ok.

A few minutes later and Emma came back, cradling the newborn "Congratulations, you have a beautiful, healthy daughter. She weighs 8lbs and 4oz and was born at exactly 10:44pm June 28th."

Elsa squirmed, crying loudly "I think someone wants her Mummy." Emma smiled placing the newborn, now swaddled in blankets, back on Jade's chest. Jade wrapped her arms around Elsa and snuggled against her. She could feel the newborns chest rising and falling as she took in some of her first breaths. Jade knew she'd never been more relieved to feel a person do that in her entire life. Pregnancy had been the hardest thing Jade had ever experienced in her life, but somehow, she knew every moment of pain had been worth it. Elsa was beautiful and sweet and perfect and she meant more to her than anything in the whole world.

Administrating Jade with a strong dose of pain killers, she safely delivered the afterbirth and allowed Emma to give her a full health check. Only an hour after Jade had given birth, Emma could confirm that Elsa was perfectly healthy and that Jade was recovering normally.

'I thought it was supposed to take several hours? How long was that like 2-3?' Jade asked confused.

"45 minutes." Beck shook his head in disbelief.

"Well, Honestly I think you were probably in active labor at least the whole of today." Emma admitted. "You were fully dilated when she was born, so she was more than ready to come when she did. I think you did pretty amazing resisting it for that long, to be honest."

Beck just shook his head, trying to suppress the flashbacks he was enduring of Jade begging him to let her push.

"It's unusual for a first birth but not unheard of." Emma reassured them. "Beck you did my job for me. Do you feel like a career change to a midwife?"

"I really really don't." Beck groaned. Emma chuckled and left the room to call the hospital for advice on the situation. Suddenly Beck became very aware that they were on their own. It was a surreal moment, just the three of them together and neither Beck nor Jade spoke for a few minutes, their attention entirely focused on the tiny person in front of them.

"Are you sure you're ok?" Beck asked seriously. Even though he trusted Emma completely, he was slightly traumatised after seeing Jade in so much pain. He just couldn't comprehend how a person could go through all that and come out ok. Jade hadn't stopped crying since Elsa was born, not having any other outlet for all the emotion she was feeling.

"I'm ok." Jade reassured him. Beck wiped a tear away from her cheek and felt his heart melt as he watched Elsa snuggle against Jades chest, searching for her breast.

"God, she's so beautiful." Beck stared lovingly at his daughter.

"She's got your lips." Jade noted.

"She's got your eyes." Beck smiled. Jade looked at him and then back down at their daughter. They made her. They made this person and they were already completely and overwhelmingly in love with her.

They were by themselves for another ten minutes until Emma returned along with Louise, who had arrived and was completely in shock. She couldn't understand why they weren't already in hospital but Emma reassured her that despite the birth being unusually fast it was uncomplicated and both mother and baby were healthy. Providing they remained that way over the next few hours then they didn't need to go anywhere.

"Do you want to try and feed her?" Emma suggested as Elsa continued to nuzzle against Jade's chest. Jade nodded, kissing Elsa on the cheek as Beck grabbed a few spare pillows and stacked them behind her. The midwife helped guide Elsa's tiny lips to Jade's breast for her first feed. She was sort of getting the hang of it, but because her mother was still so shaky after going through the birth, she was finding it hard to latch on.

"Beck, could you just put your arms here like this? It will help her be steady." Beck wrapped his arms around Jade and then under her own shaking ones holding Elsa. Finally the newborn could feed comfortably and she sucked, soothed by the warmth of her mother. Louise wiped a tear from her eye as she watched the new parents work together to take care of their daughter.

"You three look beautiful together." Louise nodded. Jade smiled properly for the first time since the birth and looked up at Beck who smiled back, kissing her playfully on the nose.

"She'll probably feed for about half an hour and, then she'll be sleepy. I'll come back and help you shower and change so you can get some rest ok?" Emma explained. Jade nodded, just watching Elsa intently. Louise followed the midwife out of the room and once again they were on their own. Beck wasn't sure he'd ever get used to that feeling.

"I feel so weak." Jade admitted as Beck held her arms securely. "Shouldn't I be able to do this by myself?"

"It's ok, no one expects you to do everything just yet." Beck reassured her but Jade didn't seem convinced.

"You brought Elsa to us, without help, without anything. You're the strongest person I know." Beck pressed a kiss to her temple "I just-'I love you so so much."

"I love you too and Elsa, she's perfect Beck."

Jade leant her head on Beck's chest and they both just sat still in disbelief, watching Elsa as she nursed peacefully. Her entrance to the world was dramatic and neither of them could say that they'd willingly go through it again but she was here and healthy and that was all that mattered to them. Elsa Rose Oliver had officially exploded into their lives.
