Season 8

Sister

It was autumn, the sun was rising and Phoebe and Coop were at the top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. It was beautiful overlooking the city.

"Can't beat this for a romantic date." Phoebe said.

"I wanted to take you some place beautiful and memorable for this moment." Coop got down on one knee and proposed.

Phoebe and Coop had been dating for most of the year and it was everything Phoebe ever wanted. It was blissful, nothing trying to separate them, it wasn't a constant fight. It was only love at its best.

"Absolutely, yes! I love you." Coop put the ring on her finger then she jumped into Coop's arms.

Back at the manor, Melinda and Sam were having a movie night and were watching Amityville Horror since Melinda likes horror movies.

"Thanks for this." Sam said.

"For what?" Melinda questioned.

"Spending this time with me."

"You don't have to thank me. I haven't had much time in my life to be a daddy's girl and I like it. Halliwell's don't seem to have much luck with men when it comes to fathers or love. I've been filled in on a lot of family history and I either haven't heard anything about a father or the father either left or died when they were young. Not to mention relationships. I heard grams was married multiple times. We all know mom's situation. I just hope all of that is broken with this generation." Melinda looked at the TV screen then screamed.

"Why do you like this stuff, Ms. I Don't Scare Easily?"

"I don't know." Melinda laughed. "I have a question. What use do I have with a power where I can travel between realms and universes. Who needs such a power?"

"It's not a power you'll need very often but it could definitely come in handy from time to time. You never know when you might need such a power."

The next morning, the family came together for breakfast. The kids were with Victor. Phoebe and Coop just walked into the dining room.

"You made it!" Piper exclaimed.

"Yeah! Did you and Leo enjoy your night alone?" Phoebe asked.

"Yes we did." Piper said.

"Breakfast looks delicious... We have an announcement to make. We're getting married!" Phoebe exclaimed.

They all rejoiced, happy for their sister.

"We want to do it soon, before this battle takes place." Phoebe said.

"We couldn't be happier for you. Coop, we happily welcome you to the family." Piper said.

Victor brought the kids back a few hours later.

"Daddy! Coop and I are getting married." Phoebe announced happily.

"I'm happy for you sweetheart." Victor hugged Phoebe. "Congratulations to both of you."

"We're thinking of getting married in a few weeks. I wish Prue could be here for this." Phoebe picked up a picture of her, Piper and Prue that was sitting on the table and had a vision.

* Prue was sitting in an old jail cell. *

Phoebe gasped as she does when a vision ends.

"Prue." Phoebe said.

"What did you see?" Piper asked.

"... Prue... In an old jail cell like medieval old."

"That doesn't make any sense." Melinda said.

"It doesn't but it was her. I know it and though it looked like the past it didn't feel that way."

"What are you saying?" Victor asked.

"I don't know." Phoebe replied.

The sisters came together that night around the fireplace with hot cocoa.

"We haven't talked about your vision since you had it." Piper said.

"I've been trying to process it, analyze it. I got that vision for a reason. I want to know what it is."

"Try to get another one." Piper said and went over to get the picture to give to Phoebe.

Phoebe held the photo and concentrated until she got another vision.

* Prue was in the cell moving a disgusting looking plate of food back and forth telekinetically. A pretty blonde in her early twenties came to her cell wearing a beautiful gown.

"Fia." The girl said to Prue.

"... Sarina."

"I loved you, you know. I looked up to you. You were like a mother to me but you were just too driven by power. No one else mattered anymore. You hurt a lot of people. I had to take your thrown as queen and right all your wrongs. You're so damn powerful, we couldn't even kill you. Like I said, I love you. I really don't want you to die but I can't let you out of here."

"I've changed. I'm not the person you think I am. I'm good."

"If only I could believe that." Sarina walked away.

"Ugh. Why the hell did you guys let me be reborn just to rot in a damn cell, in another world I must add? All the good I've done and this is my reward. I wanted to come back so that I can help people. I wanted to live again. I'm not doing either. For the life of me I can't understand the purpose of this. I don't understand my purpose." *

"It's Prue! She was reborn in another world into the body of a queen, a bad, powerful one it seems. She's in prison for whatever the queen did and she's questioning her purpose for getting a second chance if she can't do anything." Phoebe explained.

"You have visions for a reason. We wanted to know the purpose of this one." Piper said.

"Maybe you had these visions because we have to save her. We have to save our sister." Melinda said.

"Is that really true or are we being selfish because we want our sister back?" Phoebe asked.

"If that were true you wouldn't have had the vision." Piper said.

"And I think there's a reason Prue remembers who she is. Normally, souls don't remember their past lives, obviously and if they do it's for a reason. My grandmother told me that our destiny is not what anyone expects. Not even Melinda Warren saw it all when she had her vision. She said I was always apart of this destiny but no one knew and no one was supposed to. What if that means no matter how everything played out, if I wasn't adopted, if Prue never died, however it played out our final battle always included the four of us... Even if Prue was in someone else's body when it happened?"

"Interesting theory." Phoebe said.

"I like it. Everyone's asleep. Melinda can travel between worlds. Let's go find our sister." Piper said.

"I guess this power does come in handy from time to time." Melinda said.

"Let's just take a moment and take this in. We're about to find Prue and bring her home. We never imagined that would ever happen." Phoebe said.

"It's amazing but I can't get all emotional until we find her." Piper said.

"Ready?" Melinda asked. The sisters held hands and Melinda focused on finding Prue and soon enough they found themselves outside the cell that Phoebe saw.

"Prue." Piper said.

Prue looked up surprised to hear the voice then looked over to her sisters. She went to the bars of the cell.

"Oh my gosh. What are you all doing here?" Prue asked.

"I had a vision." Phoebe said.

"We're here to save you." Piper said.

"Give you a purpose." Phoebe said.

"I don't know. I died. That's not my life anymore. I'm not supposed to try to continue my old one. That's why I'm in a whole other world."

"Well little sis has a theory about that." Phoebe said.

"I think we were supposed to find you and that's why you remember. I think it's why you really have no purpose here because your purpose is with us." Melinda said.

"Why would I have a vision of you if I weren't supposed to find you?" Phoebe asked.

"What kind of world is this? " Melinda asked.

"The opposite of our world. Magical beings are the norm, people without magic are rare. The more magic you have, the more powerful you are. That was the problem with the queen whose body I took over when she died. She was power driven, it drove her mad."

"That explains things. Are you ready to go home?" Piper asked.

"...Yeah." Prue replied. Melinda orbed over to her and brought her to the other side of the bars. Then she took them all back to the manor in their world.

"It's real. You're here." Piper said and the four sisters hugged, all of them with happy tears.

"I never thought I'd see this place again. I can't believe I'm here with all of you... What do I do now?" Prue asked.

"Live with purpose." Melinda said.

"I hate to welcome you home like this but we have a battle we all must fight together." Piper said.

"That sounds like a job for the Charmed Ones." Prue said.

"We're all The Charmed Ones, the four of us." Melinda said.

"Then I can't wait to get back into the swing of things. What and when is this battle?"

"We don't know yet but it's coming." Phoebe said.

"Ok."

"On a happier note, I'm engaged to a Cupid." Phoebe announced.

"Really? That's wonderful, a Cupid is perfect for you, much safer too. I'm so happy for you!" Prue exclaimed.

"Now you can be in the wedding. I know before I was all, I want a normal wedding but this time forget it. I'm going to keep it small and hey, bring on the abnormal."

"I have a lot of catching up to do with all of you but I couldn't be more ecstatic right now." Prue said.

"I think we all feel the same." Piper said.

"Question, where am I going to sleep?" Prue asked.

"I guess you want your room back." Melinda said.

"Don't be ridiculous. It's your room now. I do not want it back. The couch or the attic is fine for me for now. Anything is better than that cell. I'll just crash on the couch tonight since I'm right here. I'm so tired." Prue said.

"I'll get you some blankets." Piper said.

The next day, Jim came downstairs and was caught off guard by the woman in the living room.

"Excuse me. Who are you?" Jim asked.

"You must be Jim. I'm-"

Everyone else came downstairs.

"Prue?" Leo was surprised.

"Leo!" Prue exclaimed and ran over to hug Leo.

"See this is what we wanted to tell you all before we were all up and at 'em." Piper said.

Everyone sat around the living room.

"I'm confused." Jim said. "I understand spirits. People coming back, I don't understand. She doesn't look like the Prue in the picture.

"I guess only people who recognize her soul can see she's Prue." Melinda said.

"How is this possible?" Leo asked.

"Remember the vision I had yesterday? I got a better vision and we found her. Prue was given another chance with all of her memories in tact. We think she's supposed to be apart of the final battle with us." Phoebe explained.

"So you're back for good?" Coop asked.

"Looks that way." Prue said. "It's nice to meet you by the way. You have no idea how happy I am that you and my sister found each other."

"Thank you." Coop said.

They heard Chris crying on the baby monitor so Piper and Leo went up to get him, Wyatt and DeDe and came back a few minutes later.

"Oh my gosh! These are your babies? My niece and nephews?" Prue took DeDe into her arms. "It's Melinda from the future!"

"You never even met her." Phoebe said.

"I remember her picture and she's just as beautiful as I remember and you got bonus babies! Hi! I'm auntie Prue! What are their names?"

"You're holding Prudence Melinda." Piper said.

"You named her after me? How sweet."

"We call her DeDe. This is her twin, Wyatt and this is Chris." Piper said.

"How old are they?"

"Three and one." Piper said.

"This was meant for you, Piper. Phoebe and I always called you the mom." Prue joked. "I always wanted to be a mom."

"Now you can be." Piper said.

"We have to call dad and Darryl, let them know you're here." Phoebe said.

"That would be great." Prue said.

Victor and Darryl came over later. It was a lot to take in for them but they were happy to see her and they could actually see Prue and not the face of Fia.

The sisters casted a spell afterward to make sure that no one else out of their immediate circle would recognize Prue.

"There is something else I want to tell you all." Phoebe started. "After the battle, whenever it is, we're moving out. We would do it sooner but that probably wouldn't be best under the circumstances."

"Don't leave because of me." Prue said.

"I'm not. Coop and I had already talked about this before we knew about you. We were already pushing it with eight people living here. It's just time." Phoebe said.

"I think it's safe for us to start branching out on our own but after the battle and not a minute sooner." Piper said.

A few weeks later, Phoebe and Coop were married with the Handfasting ceremony. Grams married them. All the sisters were by Phoebe's side as bridesmaids. Just the ones that were closest to them were there. Phoebe wanted to invite Elise but considering she wasn't having a normal wedding and Elise knew nothing about magic, Phoebe couldn't very well invite her. The wedding was very small but it was sweet and beautiful. It was actually perfect.
