I'm sorry for the lack of updates. My laptop crashed and I am still waiting for it to come back from the shop. It's going to be another few weeks; so I'm updating this from another computer.

So in this chapter I'm jumping head like promised with Lacy and Ezra. I hope it's too your liking and sorry if it's not. Now this is just a starter chapter towards Ezra and Lacy. So of course it's going to be a little slow going at first. And than Ezra's going to play a big role in her life.

Disclaimer: I have nothing to do with Pretty Little Liars

Ezra stood nervously as he waited for Aria and Lacy at the Rosewood Grille. He sucked in a few deeps breaths and let it out. Doing a breath test, making sure he smelt good for his first meeting with his daughter. He looked up and looked back down at his half empty glass of water and picked it up. Ezra than took a sip and placed his back down on the table to look up once again when the door opened up to notice once again it wasn't Aria.

With a deep sigh he looked at his watch. Aria and Lacy was now a half an hour late and he started to wonder if anything was wrong. He stood up on his feet and took his phone out of his pocket only to notice an unread text message from Aria. He unlocked it and rolled his eyes, it said that she was going to be a little late and not to start dinner without them. He turned the ringer on his phone back on and mentally slapped himself for not turning it back on after he had left his meeting.

"Hey, sorry for our tardiness" Aria said rushing into the grille and shrugging off her shoulders, "Lacy, this is my good friend Ezra. Do you remember him?" She questioned her causing Ezra's heart to melt.

Even in the past two months since coming to an agreement of just being friends. Ezra felt the urge to tell her that he couldn't handle it anymore. That what he said at the hotel in Vegas was nothing but a mistake and he is deeply sorry for being that overly protective person that he was. That all he ever thought about day after day and night after night, is just holding her in his arms and placing butterfly kisses all along her neck and any place she would allow him too.

Ezra smiled as Lacy nodded her head, "Your Jays friend too right?" She questioned sitting down across from him. "I remember you!"

Nodding his head Ezra moved his glass of water away from him, "How was your flight?"

"It was okay. My electronics died a half hour after we took off." Lacy looked at her mother, "I forgot to put it on the charger after talking with you. I still had things to pack"

"I'm sorry" Ezra gave her a sympatric smile, "But you're here now and I would like to get to know you"

Lacy looked at Ezra than back at her mother, "Mom, when is Jay getting here?"

Ezra knitted his eyebrows and looked at Aria, "You talked to Jay?" Aria nodded, "When?"

"A couple days ago he called to check in." She answered looking down at her menu, "Is anyone hungry?"

"Yeah sure" Ezra handed a menu over to Lacy and watched as she opened it up, "So about us getting to know one another?" he questioned again, "Would you like that?"

Lacy placed her menu down and shrugged, "I don't know. What do you like to do?"

Ezra laughed, "Bike, read, we could drive around town and I'll show you a few places."

"Like where?" Lacy asked, "Do you know how to play basketball?"

Letting out a little cough Ezra nodded "I do. Is that something that you're interested in?"

Lacy nodded, "Yes. I've tried it a few times and I enjoy it. I played soccer for three years and now I want to try something different. I asked mom if I could join karate but she said no." she sighed and looked at Aria as Aria placed her menu down, "I don't see what the problem with me wanting to have some fun." Lacy pouted, "I want to learn"

Aria rolled her eyes, "We had this conversation." She stated sternly, "I'm sorry, but my answer is final."

"Fine, "Lacy pouted and crossed her arms over her chest.

"Aria, "Ezra looked at her

"I don't want to hear it. You are not tag teaming me on this one." She turned her head and flagged down a waitress, "So just forget it."

"I'll talk to her, "Ezra whispered as he lent over across the table a little, "Just give me some time."

"You can have all the time you want" Aria glared him down, "but I'm not changing my mind"

LINE BREAK

Ezra followed Aria and Lacy out the down of the Grille after he paid for their dinner. He looked at his daughter as she looked around her. Letting out a huge grin that spread from ear to ear he stuck his hands into his pockets and then took a step forward so he stood on the left side of her. "Is there something you want to do right now?" He whispered leaning down a little.

Aria turned her head after getting off the phone and looked at Ezra as he stood up, "What's going on?"

"Can we go get some frozen yogurt?" Lacy asked whipping her head towards Aria, "Please!"

Ezra laughed, "That sounds like fun."

Aria's bit her lip and shook her head, "I'm sorry, but I really need to get back. I have so much to do before the finally walk through."

Lacy pouted and looked up at Ezra, "It was nice to meet you" she turned her head back towards Aria, "Alright I'm ready"

Ezra watched as Aria took Lacy's hand and she looked up at him, "I'm sorry Ezra, but this was fun. Maybe we can do it again next weekend?"

He nodded, "Or maybe I can take Lacy? I mean it's still early and I can drop her off after we're done" he shrugged, "Please, I really want this" he whispered for only Aria's ears. And when Aria placed her lips into a flat line he whispered again, "I don't ask you for much Aria. But please"

"Okay, if she wants too." Aria looked down at Lacy, "Do you want to stay with Ezra? He'll take you to get some yogurt and than drop you off at the Hotel"

"Can I?" Lacy asked with a little too much excitement. "I mean, I won't be doing much at the hotel and I don't want to go back just yet." She smiled

Aria laughed, "Okay,"

Ezra stuck out his hand, "What flavor do you want?" he asked taking her hand.

"I'm not sure. But I think I want something like strawberry" she replied, "What about you?"

Ezra made a thinking face and scrunched up his nose; "I think I want strawberry too" he smiled and looked up at Aria, "Thank you. We'll see you soon"

"Watch my baby, Ezra, or I'll have to kick your butt" she joked, "And don't get her back too late"

Ezra nodded while holding a not so tight grip on Lacy's hand, "I'll guard her with my life Aria. I promise you!"

LINE BREAK

Ezra parked a few spaces away from yogurt land and hopped out of the car. He then walked around towards Lacy's side and opened the door for her. She thanked him and looked around her. It was only a Friday, meaning there were so many people out at and about. She looked up at Ezra once more when he had offered his hand for her to take.

Once inside Lacy looked around for the strawberry flavour that she wanted and grabbed a bowl. And when she thought she had a good amount she turned to look back up at Ezra "Is it okay if I add gummy bears to it?" She asked politely

"Anything you want" Ezra smiled nodding his head, "You can even put some m&m's in there too!"

Lacy made a gross face causing Ezra to snort, "You look like your mother just now!" he told her

"Thank you!" She replied with a smirk, "Grandma Ella say's that I act just like mommy when she was my age." Ezra nodded, "And that I need to sometimes keep my comments to myself"

"And what do you think?" He asked taking the bowl from her hands and putting it on the weigher

Lacy shrugged her shoulders and looked towards the door when a few high school kids called out "Hey Mr Fitz" Ezra turned and smiled as he did a little wave, "You know them?"

He nodded, "Their in my class" he replied giving the cashier their payment "Here you go!" He handed Lacy her bowl, "So what have you seen so far? I know Jay took you to a few places while he was here"

She licked her lips, "We went to the Zoo in Philly, he took me to the movies a few times. Then we go to the park or the library" Lacy then took a spoon full and smiled at the taste. "Do you think you really can get mommy to let me do karate?" She questioned with the sweeties look in her eyes

Letting out a sigh Ezra nodded, "I know I can. Your mommy is just scared that you would get hurt. And although that is possible; we just have to show your mommy that everything would be safe. You'll start off slow and work your way up."

Lacy smiled, "I hope that's going to work. I hate staying in those Hotels all the time." She looked at her bowl again and moved her gummy bears around. "I miss Jay" she mumbled.

Ezra bit his lip trying his hardest not to spill the beans. The deal was that he was able to get close to Lacy, but he and Aria both were supposed to tell her together. But at this point all he wanted to do was tell Lacy the truth. He wanted to blurt out that he is the father and Jay, is only a part of her life.

Sucking in a breath Ezra looked at his watch it was only a half hour since they had been there and he already felt as if he would get nowhere. "You want to go to the book store? Maybe get a few things?" he asked placing his elbows on the table, "Or we get walk around and enough the night. That way you don't have to go back so early"

"The book store sounds great" Lacy answered, "Thank you for letting me tag along"

LINE BREAK

As the clocked neared eleven Ezra pulled up to the front of the Hotel and thanked the valet as he took the keys from him. The valet waited until Ezra had taken Lacy out form the back seat and cradled her in his arms before driving off.

With a few looks from the hotel staff Ezra smiled at each and every one of them. He pressed the elevator button and waited a good minute as it returned from the third floor. "Hey dad," Malcolm said stepping to the side.

"Hey Malcolm" Ezra smiled and let Malcolm hit the floor level, "Have you seen Aria?"

Malcolm nodded, "Yeah, she and Carol are fighting in her office. They've been at it for hours because Carol doesn't agree with all this new help."

Ezra nodded, "Can you take Lacy to the room and watch her till Aria comes up? I know she wouldn't mind"

Malcolm knitted his eyebrows, "Aria didn't tell you?"

"Tell me what?" he asked getting off on their floor

"She has a nanny. Do you really think Aria would let Lacy roam around the hotel by herself?" He chuckled, "Just knock on the door"

"Can you do it?" Ezra insisted, "I'm going to defuse the bomb downstairs."

"Fine," Malcolm rolled his eyes, "And then I'm going home"

"Thank you!" Ezra carefully handed Lacy over to Malcolm, "I'll see you at house and drive safe."

LINE BREAK

Aria rolled her eyes for what seemed the millionth time that night. As she listened to what Carol had to say about her concerns for these 'new employee's/old people' Aria kept looking down at her watch to see the time. She knew that sooner or later Ezra would be returning with Lacy. Aria just didn't want this so called disagreement with Carol to run any longer and have Ezra and Lacy listening on it.

"You know?" Carol huffed taking a few steps towards Aria, "None of this would be happening if you just had done your job. You're too busy running off with your boy toy, and trying to figure things out. That you've neglected all of your responsibilities with the hotel."

Aria looked at her in shock and a little taken back by that "I've been the one carrying this hotel" she retorted as her voice raise, "You don't get it do you?" Carol knitted her eye brows in confusion, "Keith told me that if this hotel doesn't generate the income within summer. That everyone here will be out of a job. He's planning on shutting it down and closing its doors. I have worked my ASS off to make sure everything is in place. To make sure the proper investors and 'high maintenance people' arrive. To make sure all the proper training goes into this business." Aria huffed, "I could fire you right now for all of the shit you pulled. You think I don't know about the late night drinking fest that you and some of the employee's have been up to? You think I don't know about all of the rowdy things that you've been pulling?" Aria got into her face, "This is not your college hangout. You don't get to open up a bottle of wine and think that it doesn't go un-notice. This is Rosewood for crying out loud. People love to talk."

Carol huffed a few breaths before taking a step back, "Did Malcolm tell you all of this?" She yelled, "Because it's not true."

"Really?" Aria questioned looking her in the eyes, "For one! Malcolm didn't have to tell me anything, I review the cameras every other day. And two!" She opened the door, "Pack up your crap and get the hell out of here. I don't need your kind of attitude in this hotel. And if "your people" Aria said making quotation marks with her fingers, "Want to follow you! Don't let the door hit them on their way out"

Ezra took a few steps back as Carol pushed Aria on the side letting herself out of the office. He looked down at his feet before looking back up to Aria looking at him. "I'm sorry!" Ezra whispered

"For what?" Aria asked confused.

Ezra shrugged and looked back down at his feet once again, "For everything. I know I've been putting a lot of pressure on you!" He looked around him before looking back at Aria, "I'm sorry!"

Aria rolled her eyes and walked into her office, "I don't get it." She sat down behind her desk "One day, you're telling me that I broke your heart and that you can never forgive me. And the next thing I know you want the world from me." Ezra nodded, "You wrote a book about us, in your words no less and expect me to be okay with it. What about my feelings? What about what I had to go through?" She stood up, "What about what I did on late nights year after year thinking that maybe if I just close my eyes and prayed that everything can go back to the way that it was." Aria started to cry, "I thought about you- every day since I left" Ezra walked around the desk and squatted down next to Aria, "I thought about what you might be doing. I thought about how; if you ever found out about Lacy. How it would affect you."

"I'm sorry" Ezra whispered, "I never meant for-"

"No," Aria shook her head, "I can't do this anymore" She pushed her chair away from him, "I need this to only be a friendship kind of thing. I will tell Lacy that you are her father and you will get to spend time with her," She stood up and walked towards the door, "But no feeling sorry for something that you know is true"

"And what's that?" Ezra cut her off licking his lips.

Aria turned her head a fraction of an inch, "That I am the very reason why you started drinking. That everything you basically wrote in your book is true." She let the tears fall, "And I'm sorry. I really am. But there is nothing we can do about it. The only thing right now, is for Lacy to know the truth and for us to move forward. And individual parents." And with that Aria walked out of the office leaving a stun Ezra standing there with an open mouth.

So what did you think? Sound off in a review- you know I love hearing from each and everyone of you!

Question: Do you think Aria has a point? Or is her reaction towards things out of anger and frustration?

Thanks again to those who are keeping up with this story, it means a lot to me.
