Hey everyone! Sorry it took so long to update! Last weekend was very busy with finals and all, but I have an announcement to announce:

After today, THERE'S ONLY 9 MORE CHAPTER'S IN THIS STORY! 9! I know right? Chapters go by fast when you're having fun; or something like that.

Anyway, since only TWO people reviewed last chapter's COTC, there is no new one.

WAITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT! Recap: Last chapter, Snowpaw and friends were beginning the battle!

NOW WE BEGIN THE STORY...

Chapter 20

Snowpaw lunged forward along with her clanmates and friends. They were already getting into the heat of battle. Rainstar and Blazeheart were fighting somewhere, and Frecklestar was protecting her kits. Snowpaw made a lunge for a cat twice her size. I know something you don't! The fact that I am faster!

Snowpaw sunk her claws deep into the warriors' red tabby fur. It tried to slash at her, but Snowpaw was too fast. She had faith in her speed, and she used that to her advantage. The big red tom was indeed huge, but very clumsy. His big bear-like paws swiped at air. Snowpaw clawed up his back and latched onto his throat. The tom yelped in surprise, and fell to the ground. Snowpaw looked at other cats fighting. Some had joined Blazeheart's side, and other's were fighting for Rainstar. The two toms were still going at it hard, but Snowpaw didn't know who to fight next. She saw Whitepaw battling an apprentice-looking she-cat. Both had bad wounds. Snowpaw charged over to join them.

Suddenly, a figure rammed into her. A gray tail flashed in front of her. She bit down, hard. Snowpaw got up and started swiping at the she-cat.

"Rainstar says no mercy!"she yowled, and other cats nearby started chanting the phrase. Snowpaw slashed at the she-cat's stomach as best she could. The gray cat leaped out of the way and rolled Snowpaw over. Snowpaw felt sharp pain in her face. That cursed cat must be clawing at my face! Snowpaw summoned her strength, and kicked the she-cat in the stomach. She stood up, and lunged towards the cat. Snowpaw bit one of her paws, and held on tight. A sickening crack made Snowpaw drop her paw.

The gray she-cat's shoulder was at an odd angle, and she was limping towards Snowpaw. She looked towards Snowpaw with angry amber eyes.

"You aren't going to get away with this!"she hissed in pain. The she-cat jumped to land on top of Snowpaw, but Snowpaw rolled out of the way. She yowled as sharp pain traveled up her shoulder. A gray tabby tom was standing over her.

"Did you do this to Silver?"he asked angrily.

Snowpaw flattened her ears."It's a-"the angry tom didn't let her finish. He leaped on top of her and grappled for her neck. Snowpaw shoved him off and quickly got up and was racing towards Flameheart.

"Flameheart! You have to save me!"Snowpaw cried. The orange warrior shoved the warrior he was fighting aside, and clawed open his neck. He ran towards Snowpaw, but as he got closer, Snowpaw realized he was going to try and kill her!

"Corner her!"Flameheart yowled. Snowpaw was now surrounded. The three cats were moving in on her. She looked from one to the next.

"Why, Flameheart?"she growled.

"Because you are meant to die here! YOU caused my mate to die! I want to ensure your death is painful, so don't get too comfy!"Flameheart leaped into the air. The other two cats lunged for Snowpaw. She leaped and turned, and started running. Snowpaw was hissing in pain, as her shoulder was bleeding badly, and stung with every paw step she took. Flameheart and the other tom were gaining on her.

Snowpaw tripped over a twig."HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLPPP!"she yowled. Her fur was blood stained, and she was exhausted. Quickly, Snowpaw looked up. God, please send help down here. I cannot fight two skillful warriors.

Snowpaw felt a soft wind that seemed to say,'Yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss'.

"Looks like the little brave kitten is trapped!"the gray tom sneered as he stepped closer. Snowpaw turned to run, but a large log was in her way!

"Snowpaw, I hope you don't mind being ripped apart!"Flameheart was preparing to leap, when a large brown tabby tom leaped over the log. Three others followed; a gray she-cat, a brown tom, and a gray tom.

"I don't think that's going to happen!"he growled. Snowpaw's eyes widened in shock.

"Hawkpaw!"she yowled. He turned his the same kind, blue eyes towards her.

"It's Hawkfire now."he mewed gently. He turned back around towards Flameheart."Were you going to hurt Snowpaw?"he growled, taking a step forwards. The other three cats stood around Snowpaw, like guards.

"Of course not! We're from the same clan!"Flameheart looked nervous in front of a cat the same size as him. He glanced at the gray tom.

"Uh huh. Sure. And pigs fly,"Hawkfire retorted. Hawkfire lunged at Flameheart, and the gray she-cat and gray tom went for the other gray tom. The brown tom helped Hawkfire with Flameheart. Snowpaw looked around. All though Hawkfire had come to save her, the other cats weren't having such luck. She spotted Whitepaw surrounded by a group of apprentices. He was battling fiercely, but his efforts seemed as though they were in vain. Snowpaw heaved herself to her paws.

"I'm coming, Whitepaw!"she yowled. Snowpaw knew she would have to find a cat that was on their side, because she and Whitepaw couldn't defeat that many apprentices. Snowpaw thought of several cats; Badgerclaw, Sunfall, and...Thistlejaw! He was always loyal to the clan! Snowpaw looked around for them, and she spotted Thistlejaw first. He was wrestling with Wildfern! He must think we're here to attack the clan, but really we're only attacking to get rid of Rainstar.

Snowpaw ran as fast as her shoulder would allow, and when she finally got there, Wildfern was easily beating Thistlejaw.

"Wait!"Snowpaw yowled. She ran in between the fighting cats. She shoved Wildfern farther back."Thistlejaw, we aren't attacking Forestclan, we're attacking Rainstar!"

The senior warrior cocked his head."Snowpaw, is it really you?"he asked, his amber eyes wide with astonishment.

"Yes, it is, Thistlejaw. Stop fighting, will you?"Snowpaw came closer to the large tom. He looked at her with annoyance.

"Fine."he meowed. He was turning around to go fight one of Rainstar's warriors.

"Wait... um... Thistlejaw?"

"What now?"he growled, turning back around.

"Can you help Whitepaw and I fight some apprentices?"Snowpaw asked nervously.

"Yes."he dashed off to go help Snowpaw's brother.

Whew! That was close! Snowpaw thought. She saw Badgerclaw fighting near the nursery entrance with...Sweetwind! Snowpaw ran with a slight limp. Not my adoptive mother and mentor fighting! Snowpaw thought in agony.

"STOP!"she charged past the cats and whipped around. Both were staring at her like she was growing trees on top of her head.

"Snowpaw, I was defeating this- this-mangy flea-pelt, and you-"

"Shut up, Sweetwind!"Snowpaw spat. Her tail was beginning to fluff up, and her green eyes were narrowed with anger."That is no way to talk to my adoptive mother!"

Sweetwind growled,"You're my apprentice! You have no right to talk to me like that!" Badgerclaw remained silent. Snowpaw limped forward towards Badgerclaw. She looked up at Badgerclaw, her amber eyes dull and lifeless.

"I need something of you, Badgerclaw."Snowpaw meowed."I need you to help Whitepaw and I fight off some apprentices."

"Okay."Badgerclaw meowed. Snowpaw's jaw dropped; a spark in Badgerclaw's eyes had come back."Maybe there is hope,"she muttered as she ran off to help Whitepaw and Thistlejaw.

"Sweetwind, guard the nursery as if it were the one in Windclan."Snowpaw ordered.

"But I'm-"

"I don't care that you're my mentor right now. My clan is in need of dire help, and you were in line to help it. So do what I tell you."Snowpaw looked around for Sunfall. He was fighting with Coppertail. As Snowpaw approached, Coppertail stopped fighting and looked at her.

"What do you-"Sunfall had tackled him. Coppertail hissed and swiped at Sunfall's eyes. He got his nose, and Sunfall nipped for Coppertail's neck.

"Sunfall, STOP!"Snowpaw rasied a paw and slashed Sunfall's hind quarters.

Sunfall turned around and growled, "What?"

"Go help Whitepaw and I fight off some of Rainstar's apprentices. Now!"Snowpaw roared, but Sunfall looked like he wanted to kill somebody.

"No. I believe the forest is better under Rainstar's rule!"he declared. Anger more powerful than all of Eternalclan put together rumbled in Snowpaw's stomach. Without even thinking, she sunk her claws deep into Sunfall's shoulder fur.

"How DARE you say that! You and I both know that my mom was FAR better a leader!"Snowpaw wrenched her claws free and hit Sunfall's head as hard as she could. Sunfall head-butted the ground, and Snowpaw rolled out of the way just in time.

"Rainstar has made this clan big and powerful!"Sunfall yowled, and he lunged for Snowpaw's throat. Snowpaw crouched and leaped into the air, claws outstretched. Sunfall raised a paw to swipe at her face, but Snowpaw dodged it easily. She saw his golden tail and bit down on it; hard. Sunfall was unprepared for Snowpaw's action, and landed with all four legs sprawled out. Copptertail leaped onto his back and bit his shoulder, and he held on. Sunfall screeched and finally the two cats let him go.

"This won't be the last of me!"he growled as he ran off.

Snowpaw and Coppertail were bounding over to help Whitepaw, when Blazeheart's mew broke out across camp,"Windclan, REATREAT!"all of the cats started streaming into the forest. Snowpaw looked around. She had an idea.

Awesome huh? Yeah I know. I wrote it. JK! Usually I'm not very good at writing things like this!
