Sup y'all? How iz everybody? It es Saterday, and I'm sorry I haven't updated in like, forever, but I've bean really busy with school and such. Please enjoy this short chapter. I have a message at the bottom for people who never review. I'm kinda pissed, actually.
Chapter 25
Snowpaw was waiting patiently for Morningstar and Blazeheart to begin. Several cats were being made warriors, and a few new apprentices. Finally, Morningstar called, "Let all cats old enough to catch a rabbit gather beneath the Sandy Dune for a clan meeting!"
Whitepaw came over and sat by Snowpaw, who was sitting next to Sweetwind.(I forgot to mention she was in the medicine den last time because she wasn't feeling good; now she's fine.). All of the cats started gathering in a large semi-circle around the Sandy Dune.
"Today, several Windclan and Forestclan cats become warriors. Will Quillpaw and Silverpaw please come up here,"Morningstar called. Snowpaw whispered,"Good luck!"as the two cats rose and stood in front of their leader.
"I, Morningstar, leader of Windclan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on these apprentices. They have trained hard to understand the ways of your code, and I command them to be warriors in their turn. Quillpaw, will you defend the warrior code, even at the cost of your life?"Morningstar looked down on the gray tabby.
"I do."he choked out.
Morningstar turned her gaze towards Silverpaw."Silverpaw, will you defend the warrior code, even with the cost of your life?"
"I do."she meowed confidently. Morningstar lifted her gaze towards the rest of the clan.
"Then by the powers of Starclan, I give you your warrior names. Quillpaw, from this moment on, you shall be known as Quillfall. Starclan honors you for your honesty and integrity. And Silverpaw, from this moment on, you shall be known as Silverfire. Starclan honors you for your great hunting skills and easy-going temperament."
"Quillfall! Silverfire! Quillfall! Silverfire!"the clan cheered. Morningstar continued,"And now, Blazeheart will make some of his cats warriors!"
The clan cheered loudly. It was a night of celebration!
"BLAZEHEART! BLAZEHEART! BLAZEHEART!"
"Alright alright, settle down. I need Whitepaw, Bronzepaw, and Snowpaw, all to come up here. This is a proud day for Forestclan. By naming warriors we show our clan will prosper and remain strong, despite the troubles we've been through recently. Now, I, Blazeheart, deputy of Forestclan, and its true leader, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on these apprentices. They have trained hard to understand our code, and I command them as warriors. It is time. Do you all promise to defend your clan, even at the cost of your life?"
"I do!"they all replied in unison.
"Then, from this moment on, Whitepaw shall be known as Whitestorm; Eternalclan and I both honor your courage. Bronzepaw shall be called Bronzefur. Eternalclan and I both honor your loyalty. Snowpaw, you shall be called Snowflake. Eternalclan and I both honor your bravery and unfearing nature!"
"WHITESTORM! BRONZEFUR! SNOWFLAKE! WHITESTORM! BRONZEFUR! SNOWFLAKE!"the cats cheered. Snowflake saw Hawkfire, Quillfall, and Silverfire and Heatherpaw and Ravenpaw cheering her name the loudest. She felt extremely grateful for all of her friends and family. This is almost like home, except we don't have a warrior code.
"Now Briarpaw would like to announce something."Blazeheart stepped back, and Briarpaw stepped forward, standing proud and tall.
"Today, my siblings got their warrior names, and my fallen siblings, Emberpaw and Thunderpaw, should've been with us here today, but most of all, my mother and father should be here. We shouldn't be here, but in our home, and today, I would like to honor the fallen."
The entire camp was gripped with sudden saddness and sorrow. Many cats were remembering those they had lost. Snowflake sighed heavily and leaned into Hawkfire."I wish my mom was here,"she muttered into his ear.
"Me too. Well, at least for you,"he nuzzled her.
Briarpaw continued,"And I would like to take the name Briarstorm, to honor the fallen, and my clan's troubles. I am now a full medicine cat of Forestclan!"
"BRIARSTORM! BRIARSTORM! BRIARSTORM!"the clan cats cheered. Once everyone had settled down, Bronzefur clambered up onto the Sandy Dune.
"I'd like to make an announcement,"he meowed, dipping his head towards Morningstar."I will be moving in with the Windclan warriors."
Shocked mews rang out across camp. I KNEW that would happen! Snowflake thought, shaking her head. Blazeheart stepped forward again."Do you really wish to live with Windclan and call them your home?"
"Yes Blazeheart, I do."Bronzefur replied, dipping his head.
"Why?"
"Because I wish to take Silverfire as my mate."Broznefur scuffled his paws in embarrassment. He had just told two clans about his love for a cat outside his own clan.
"Well, I wish you good luck, because today is the day we are going to battle Rainstar; for good!"Blazeheart yowled. All the cats from Forestclan started cheering madly.
"Whoa whoa whoa." Morningstar mewed as she stepped up beside Blazeheart."Blazeheart, we didn't have this scheduled in our meeting; did we?"
"No, Morningstar, we didn't. But I decided this clan has stayed in hiding long enough. Tomorrow at dawn, we take back the forest, so everyone needs to get a good amount of sleep."Blazeheart leaped off, and Morningstar padded into her den.
Snowflake sighed and followed Whitestorm and Bronzefur into the warriors den. It was a large cave, and there was plenty of room. Snowflake saw a nest open, and took it. Everyone was very tired from the ceremony, and quickly fell asleep.
