I'm afraid I have nothing to say, so; read, review and enjoy!
Blinking with a groan the guardian pulled herself up into a sitting position front of her charge, hand quickly going to her head with another groan. Her head was pounding painfully; it was likely a side-effect of connecting her mind so completely to the Master Emerald for so long.
"Are you alright?" The hybrid froze at the familiar voice, slowly turning to see none other than her parents standing behind her. The dark hedgehog had awoken as well, slowly sitting up. The girl's eyes narrowed at the blue hedgehog and red echidna.
"What are you doing here?" She snarled, ignoring her mother's question and her headache as she stood.
"I got a feeling that the Master Emerald needed to be protected...when we showed up you were both unconscious." Knuckles explained, her daughter crossing her arms in displeasure.
"If anyone else would receive such a call I wouldn't have called her." Masa stated...no one noticed Shadow staring at him with slightly wide eyes.
"I see...where is Fang?" Femur asked, her father looking at her sadly.
"We can't allow him here...you know that." Sonic pointed out, causing his daughter to close her eyes and give a small noise of sadness.
"I figured as much." She admitted, looking at the floating emerald. "I think it's about time...that I stopped playing around."
"Femur?" The projection questioned, the adults all looking confused. Throwing her cellphone at her trainer, the glowing eyed girl held out her hand.
"Chaos Magic." She said calmly, snapping. Rips appeared before the adults, sending them flying off the island before they could realise what was going on.
"Knuckles!" The green eyed man yelled, diving for his wife before pulling out the purple Chaos Emerald and trying to Chaos Control back up to the island, only to find it didn't work. Panicking as the couple fell towards the water he Chaos Controlled them to the mainland, Shadow doing the same once he realised getting to the island impossible.
"What the hell was that about?!" Sonic demanded angrily as the three appeared on the shore, his rival ignoring him as he looked at the island.
"The island..." Knuckles whispered. The blue hedgehog turned to face it, letting out a short gasp...it was surrounded by a green force field. The dark hedgehog looked at his green Chaos Emerald for a moment, holding it above his head.
"Chaos...Control!" He called, however the flash did not occur...he did not move.
"She said 'I'm not playing around anymore'...she's cut off the island from everyone!" The ex-guardian realised, falling to her knees.
"Can't you break through that barrier?!" The ex-hero questioned, the purple eyed woman shaking her head.
"Only someone with a better connection to the Master Emerald than Femur could break through it or shut it down." She stated sadly.
"And there isn't someone like that..." The green eyed man murmured sadly, kneeling down to his significant other and pulling her close in a hug as her eyes began to tear up.
"Call the number in the phone." Shadow instructed, tossing the cell phone to the woman.
"W-what?" The echidna looked at him in shock, confused.
"Just do it!" The red eyed man snarled, causing the woman to gulp and nod.
"Hey Femur, what do you need?" Came the voice of the bat as she answered the ringing phone. The red fighter had to stop herself from gasping and dropping the phone...it had been years, the voice had changed a bit, but she still knew who it was.
"Rouge..." She whispered, silence filling the other side of the phone.
"...Knuckles." Rouge said, about to hang up the phone.
"Give it to me." The black and red male held out his hand. Without question the red fighter gave it to him.
"Shadow?" The white bat asked, confused. "What's going on? Why are you using Femur's phone, and why is Knuckles there?"
"We aren't on the island. This is the only way I knew to contact you...Femur sent us flying and has cut the island off from outsiders; we can't Chaos Control there and there's a green barrier around it."
"What?!" The ex-thief fell silent for several moments as she processed the information. "What happened, why did would she do such a thing?!"
"...I'm not sure." Shadow admitted, looking at the island again.
"Ok, ok. What happened before she sent you flying?" The white flier probed, trying to understand the situation better so she could figure out what to do.
"She was talking to the Faker and the Echidna...they were on the island." He didn't really feel like explaining his little adventure in the Master Emerald.
"What about?"
"Why they were there...then where someone named Fang was, they said that this 'Fang' wasn't allowed on the island. She said something about 'not playing around anymore' after that and ejected us from the island."
"Fang...that's it! Her brother!" The teal eyed woman realised. "Give me to Sonic!"
"She wants to talk to you." Shadow stated, passing the phone to his rival.
"You got some plan to fix this?" Sonic asked into the phone, foot tapping.
"Bring Fang to the coast, we'll be there as soon as we can." Rouge instructed.
"What do you plan to do?" The blue hedgehog asked.
"Give her what she wants." The bat responded simply, hanging up.
What did you expect Femur to do? She's finally given up on seeing her brother...so why let anyone on the island if she can't see him and the Master Emerald may be stolen? Hopefully Rouge's plan works.
