This is the last actual chapter of this story, sorry the story is so short. Read and review, hope you all enjoy!

"Femur...what about Shadow?" Masa questioned, standing behind his guardian. She sat at the top of the shrine steps, looking towards the mainland longingly.

"Shadow..." Femur murmured, shaking her head. "Maybe, once they're all dead, I'll let him back." She responded, looking down before closing her eyes and falling back onto the shrine floor. "It's just you and me from now on Masa."

"Femur." Unsure what to say now Masa looked toward the mainland himself; he could feel the sadness of the previous guardian and the Chaos users from the hybrid's actions.

"Sis..." Murmured a purple boy with dark blue eyes as he looked at the force field covered floating island, dreadlock-like quills reaching his mid-back. Spiked knuckles covered by familiar white gloves; his stomach, muzzle, inner ears and arms peach. Shorts reaching his knees sky blue and white, his shoes were sky blue with white and pale grey, goggles pale grey and sky blue.

"Rouge has a plan." Shadow told the boy, confident in the bat.

"Mr. Shadow!" The group turned towards the voice, seeing Mascara and Rouge.

"You two really screwed up this time." Rouge sighed as she landed, her daughter beside her.

"Are you trying to say this is our fault?" Sonic growled, unhappy with the turn of events as it was and a certain bat wasn't making him any happier. She looked straight at him.

"That's exactly what I'm saying." The white furred woman responded, the blue hedgehog about to throw a punch at her before his wife grabbed his arm.

"Sonic...don't..." Knuckles said softly, simply holding his arm.

"...Yeah, alright." The ex-hero agreed, dropping his arm...the last thing he wanted to do was make the red woman more upset.

"Mascara, let's go." Said girl's mother stated, picking up the purple hybrid.

"Right." Mascara agreed with a nod, the two flying towards the island.

"Femur, it's Mascara!" Mascara called down as they reached the area above the shrine and force field. After a minute of the girl below not moving the young bat gave a sigh. "Are you sure she can even hear us?" She asked her mother, tapping the barrier...as expected, it didn't let her through.

"Femur, we have Fang, let us in." Rouge stated, waiting as well...however once again nothing happened.

"Sis!" Fang yelled, hurting the bats' ears. Immediately the older hybrid sat up and looked up, the barrier trembled before the top opened, allowing the three in.

"Fang..." Femur breathed, tears in her eyes as her aunt, cousin and brother landed.

"Sis!" Fang exclaimed, running into his sister's open arms.

"Fang...it really is you..." The guardian held the boy close, tears of happiness falling from her eyes. The barrier began to crack before shattering, the pieces falling for a second before disappearing.

"Femur!" The hybrids' parents cried as they appeared in a flash of purple light, the dark hedgehog appearing a moment later in a flash of green. The girl pulled her brother closer, afraid of her parents pulling him away.

"Alright Fang, time to-" Knuckles began, only for her ex-friend to place a hand on her shoulder and cutting her off.

"All she wanted was to see her little brother...what's so wrong with that Knuckles?" Rouge questioned, gesturing to the siblings. They were still hugging, though the older held the younger protectively and revealed her fangs at her parents every time they tried to move as if in warning of taking the boy away.

"If I had a brother...I think I'd want to see him too, Miss Knuckles and Mr. Sonic. She just wants to be with her family." Mascara added, reaching out to hold her mother's free hand. The older bat softly held the smaller hand, knowing that the younger needed the physical contact from her.

"You know she's going to 'outlive' us all, don't you? Femur's 'life' is tied to the Master Emerald, as long as she's in range she'll never 'die'." Sonic pointed out to the little bat.

"I know. Mother explained it to me already." The brown eyed girl stated.

"I think...Femur's willing to watch you all die, if it means she can spend more time with you." Shadow pointed out, everyone looking at the older hybrid...she closed her mouth, nodding.

"I'm going to be alone eventually; I already know that...but isn't it better that I have a lot of good memories to look back on when times get bad?" The glowing eyed girl asked, the blue eyed boy turning in her arms to face their parents.

"I want to see Sis again after this." He indicated simply, holding the arms that were still around him.

"Femur... Fang..." Their parents murmured, looking at one another. They didn't say a word, however after a few moments they both nodded with a smile and turning back to their children.

"Alright." The blue hedgehog said.

"It wasn't right that we took you away from each other to begin with. We'll be living here again." The red echidna explained, peach skinned girls and boy's eyes widening before the boy smiled.

"...No, that's alright." The undead girl disagreed, shaking her head.

"Isn't this what you wanted Femur?" Her aunt questioned, the girl shaking her head once more.

"I just want to see you all; I can take care of the island on my own. As long as you come to visit, that's all I care about." She clarified, releasing the purple hybrid.

"If that's what you want than that's what we'll do." Her mother smiled, her and her husband slowly walking towards their daughter. The red and blue fighter jumped over the boy in front of her, running to the two and wrapping her arms around them.

"I've missed you." She admitted, hugging them.

"We've missed you two." The ex-heroes agreed, hugging her back. The two bats watched with a smile, the black and red hedgehog turning from them and disappearing...he wasn't needed right now after all.

I hope you all enjoyed the ending; there will, of course, be an epilogue. See you all later ^^
