HEY! I literally just wrote this and it's short and probably has errors…but I just wanted to get something out for you guys :)
This chapter is addressing Elsa's powers/What she's the goddess of. The winning suggestion (I hope you don't mind me mentioning, I just want to give you credit) was melystar12's idea that was said in a lovely review, "I think Elsa should have powers related to water. A goddess of the sea, fitting a personality of strength but also being gentle." I though this was this perfectly suited Elsa so thank you so much :) Thanks to everyone else who suggested as well, all of your ideas were amazing and it was hard to choose. I think it was wise not going with ice like in Frozen, and with water I have a couple of ideas regarding Loki and his ice… So stay tuned!
Anyway, enjoy!
"I'm bored." Thor sighed dramatically as he glared at his brother and sister. Loki, unaware of the world around him, was engrossed in a novel, too enthralled to even listen to Thor's whining. Elsa was busy too, but instead of playing with her dolls, she was staring intently at a goblet of water.
Frustrated at his siblings' lack of empathy, Thor repeated louder, "I'M BORED."
Rolling his eyes, Loki continued to read, only averting his gaze to glance at Elsa, who still remained focussed on her goblet. Thor flopped to the ground in an irked manner as he sensed that Loki and Elsa were not interested in playing.
"What are you doing?" Loki quirked; obviously interested in his sister's immense concentration on the inanimate object.
"Shhh!" Elsa cried, not even deterring her eyes from the chalice.
Thor sat up, "Can we play a quiet game?"
"No." Loki deadpanned his brother, focussing back to Elsa.
The little one squinted harder and clenched her fists, with still no result or action.
"Are you trying to perform magic?" Loki tried, however receiving an inaudible response of the shake of her head.
"I know! This can be a guessing game!" Thor interrupted, disregarding the glare earned from his brother.
Elsa continued to stare at the goblet, frustration evident on her facial features.
"Oh, I know," Loki grinned, "Water?"
Elsa let out a sigh in agreement, looking away from the goblet at last.
"Ohhhhh!" Thor beamed, "You're thirsty?"
"No Thor!" She huffed as her cheeks went red. Sure, sometimes his foolishness was of amusement, but Elsa was beyond frustrated.
Loki intervened before Elsa would explode, "Brother, she's trying to morph and control water."
"Why?" Thor continued; his face puzzled as his siblings stared at him in disbelief.
"Because I'm the Goddess of water!" Elsa wailed, her hair unruffled as she stomped on the marble ground.
"Ohhhhh, I get it now!"
Loki hissed under his breath, "Imbecile."
Normally Elsa would scold Loki to not call Thor names, but she was far from concerned. She just wanted to be able to control water. A seemingly simple task for someone who was supposedly apt at the skill, however she still couldn't move the liquid at her whim.
Elsa fought back the tears stinging her eyes, being six years old could be emotionally draining.
Loki had returned to his book, his interest obviously dwindling. Thor continued to mope around on the ground. Elsa decided to return to the goblet for one final time, determined to master her given ability.
Inhaling deeply, she cleared her mind, forcing all of her focus on the task ahead. She studied the goblet and it's contents intently, her eyes thoughtful rather than potent. This time felt different somehow, she felt lighter, clearer.
Loki had the spine of his book under his nose, watching his sister as she concentrated. Thor had averted his attention to his sister too, fascinated by her composure. The only ability he could muster from his attribute of thunder was to occasionally make the skies darken. Both brothers wanted to see her capability, something she hadn't been able to express until now.
To all three children's amazement, tiny droplets travelled from the inside of the goblet to hover in front of Elsa's eyes. A small smile graced her lips as she continued to move the beads of water. Both brothers were in awe as they watched the drops dance in the air, and Elsa giggled in delight.
Interrupting the silence, Thor raced towards his Elsa, "SISTER THAT IS ASTOUNDING!"
Elsa quickly glanced to see her brother charging at her, probably wanting to make a game out of the floating raindrops. Her focus was broken as soon Thor neared, and the water plummeted to the floor. Thor still hadn't slowed, and when he was close enough, he slipped on the now wet floor. In doing so, he collided with Elsa, knocking her off her feet.
"THOR!" She cried, the goblet was now spilt on the ground and she was covered in water.
Loki snickered at his siblings, "Well, that was something."
Ignoring her brother's comment, Elsa sat up from the puddle and grinned madly, "I did it! I morphed the water!"
"I saw! And you made a game out of it!" Thor beamed as he shook his soaked hair.
Loki smiled, "You only moved a few droplets Elsa, but it's progress."
Carefully standing up, she laughed, "I'm going to tell Mother!"
Please review! I would love to hear your thoughts, plus, I would love suggestions for what the next chapter should be about :)
See you soon xx
