*Ch...13, Part 1*

Appearing out of no where, the two Sayain's crash into the earth below causing a small crater to form in the shape of there glued bodies. Animals near by screeched in panic as they quickly ran for the shelter of their homes, and away from the two human figures. They'd landed in a clearing of the forest, a short distance from Goku's old house, his grandpas house. The area was peaceful, surrounded only by nature and thick trees for miles. The occasional rustle of a plant and whistling of crickets, were the only sounds in the vicinity. The lake to there left was sparkling with the clear reflection of the full moon, so the animals that they'd scared off were obviously nocturnal.

All in all, the place was perfect. Quiet enough for them to concentrate on one another, as well as sufficiently far away from any human civilization. Plus with the moon as bright as it was, there was no need for an additional light source... not that the two Saiyan's would need any with their heightened senses.

Almost forgetting the current situation, the two calmly observe there surroundings while taking in both the beautiful scenery and one another. To anyone else, the two would've looked cool and composed; but they'd both known each other to long to be fooled by outer appearances.

Even though Vegeta wore his usual calm expression and smirk, Goku knew the older was excited, judging by the slight tremble in his arms and acceleration of his heart beat. Likewise, Vegeta knew the younger was nervous based off the twitching of his tail and his hardly noticeable dusty, pink cheeks.. All though nervousness was good in small amounts, Vegeta also wanted his future mate to be comfortable.

"Why choose this place?" Vegeta questions to keep the others mind preoccupied on something else.

Not expecting this type of 'action', Goku shyly stutters with confusion in his voice, "Um... I-It was the first place that came to mind. This... this is the place I grew up."

"I see." Vegeta states as he takes another look around in order to appreciate his surounds more. "Is the space pod you used to travel here still around?" He questions while bringing his gaze back to the form below him.

"I don't know, maybe." Goku smiles. "Why do you ask?"

Shrugging as if it's no big deal, Vegeta answers, "I want to know more about you Kakarot. Even if it's just the little things at first."

The red tint in his cheeks were back and silence was upon them for a brief moment until Goku finally asks, "Why?"

This was the moment, the moment were Vegeta knew he'd have to spill his guts and tell the truth. The truth of why the older was doing all this in the first place. Why he cared, why he yearned, why he craved and most of all, why he loved him. That's right, Vegeta could finally admit it to himself. He loved the clown, not just desired or hungered for...but truly loved the Saiyan warrior. He knew that if he didn't manage to say the correct lines now, he could lose him and possibly his friendship...forever.

'No pressure'. Vegeta mentally snorts, it's not like the fate of the world was on the line of anything...just his whole damn future.

Calming his thoughts, Vegeta decides to do what he normally does; get strait to the point without any fancy words and hope for the best. If things took a turn for the worse, he had no doubt in his mind that Goku could or would beat him an inch from death. He'd heard stories of mating confessions gone wrong; if the dominate was to persistent or pushy, the submissive would sometimes retaliate with a kick between the legs or a simple kei blast to the face. Some he'd even seen come back with their 'family jewels' missing.

With an audible gulp, Vegeta forces back the frightening image and replaces it with determination, "Because Kakarot, I want to court you... I want you to be my future mate." Vegeta finishes with a whisper.

All of his card were laying face up on the poker field; the prince of all Saiyans had nothing left to hide. He hadn't exactly admitted to loving the other pure blooded Saiyan, but the confession of mating was a good start. He knew Earths hero would eventually put two and two together if he hadn't already. But by the look of things, Goku was still trying to process his thoughts.

The younger was silent and almost alarmingly calm. He was shocked, so shocked that his body became num while his mind worked furiously to decipher the meaning of Vegeta's words. Since the day they'd met the two were enemies, polar opposites, and rivals. Goku would go so far as to say the older Saiyan hated him, and at first probably wanted to murder him. But court; even mate?...Didn't that also include the four letter L word? Looking back at their history it seemed impossible.

'The four letter L word...' Goku thought until his eyes widened in realization, 'Vegeta Lo...Likes me!' he mentally exclaimed in disbelief, unable to form the word 'love' in his mind. 'That's what mating means right?... Vegeta said mating was like a human wedding; the only real difference being it lasts forever. Does that mean... could it really be...'

Did Goku even dare to hope? From day one the two had always had their petty disagreements and arguments. (Biggest understatement of the world, Goku knew). Even in todays time Goku could hardly hope that the two of them were even comrades let alone friends. Tonight had been the first of many that the two had actually sat down and willingly participated in anything other then sparing. It was hard to believe there was... more.

He'd know for awhile he had feelings for the older Saiyan. Hell, Goku could even admit to loving the Prince, brash attitude and all. But did Vegeta really have feelings for him as well? Goku needed to know...he needed to assure himself that what he was thinking was true. Did the Prince love him?

Exhaling a breath he hadn't realized he was holding, Goku looks to the Sayain Prince above him and stutters, "Do you...do you really... lo-Like me?" he finishes.

Tensing his shoulders with obvious nervousness, Vegeta drops his gaze to the others still naked chest and asks, "Are you really gonna make me say it out loud."

It wasn't a question, Vegeta knew he'd have to say it out loud eventually. But that still didn't mean he was without nerves or fear of rejection. If this were his home planet, Vegeta would've thought it absurd for anyone to reject a mating with the prince of all Saiyans... Allas, this was not his home planet nor his birth right. This was Earth, and Goku was its protecter.

Stealing his nerves and raising his head with pride, Vegeta looks directly into his last subjects eyes and states with confidence, "I don't just 'like' you Kakarot, I love you...I have for awhile now." He finishes with a slight blush on his cheeks. (That he would later deny with a passion).

Just as he thought he'd gotten over the shock of the previous statement, Goku's eyes widen even more at this new revelation. The chorus of a thousand, 'He loves me...he loves me...HE LOVES ME!' rage in his mind along with a million other questions. With so many thoughts racing through his head, the younger Saiyan just barely manages the single response of "When?" before his voice box shuts down once more.

Although the question was vague, Vegeta knew in an instant what he was asking, "Since the day I first landed on this planet...the day I first met you." he answers.

Gapping, Goku struggles to form his next stuttering sentence, "B-but you...I dont...I-I thought you...hated me?"

"I admit, my first feelings toward you weren't of the loving kind." Vegeta chuckles with mirth in his deep voice, "Other than Nappa and your brother, you were the first pureblooded Saiyan I'd seen in a very long time. Just imagine going through three mating cycles abroad that cursed ship with nothing but thous two to keep you company."

When a look of understanding and horror crossed the younger's face, the Prince simply nodded then continued as if it weren't a big deal.

"If you thought losing control during your heat cycle was bad, imagine what would happen if you couldn't 'do' anything at all. I myself was pretty damn determined to become asexual even if it killed me durning thous years." Vegeta chuckled as if enjoying an inside joke.

Still a little stunned, Goku manages to speak clearly, "I'm surprised you survived. I know if it were me, I wouldn't have. I just remember it being so...intense."

"I'm surprised myself sometimes." Mentally his more corrupt conscious argued, 'Of course, it did help to take my frustrations out by terrorizing innocent people and planets...best keep that information to myself if a wanna stay on his good side.' "Anyway" Vegeta continued aloud, "Like I said, when I first arrived on this planet you were the most...attractive Saiyan I'd seen in a long time. It wasn't love at first sight, but then again I was an arrogant Prince at the time and didn't really care about love so long as there was lust."

"If it helps, your still an arrogant Prince in my book." Goku taunts with a grin on his face.

"Shut up." Vegeta states while mock punching the other in the shoulder. "After you rejected my offer and defeated me in battle, it was then that hate began to take over. It wasn't until the battle with Freiza and seeing you as a Super Saiyan that I began to question my feelings. Hate was replaced with rivalry and rivalry with friendship and after friendship...denial. I was to proud to admit that I had fallen for a third class clown during the battle with the androids. But after I lost you in the fight against Cell,... I knew for sure my feelings were true." He finishes with a sigh. "So now that I've pretty much told you my whole life's story, what's your's? How long has it been for you Kakarot?" He questions, purposely removing the spot light from him.

That lovely shade of red was back on Goku's cheeks as he answers, "Well, you know from the Dare that I've felt... lust for you during the battle against Majin Boo. But...I guess for me it also started when we first met. Unlike you though, it wasn't attraction at first sight but curiosity. The curiosity of wanting to know more about you and our race. I didn't know it at the time, but when I first arrived on planet Namek my feelings for you were already much deeper. And then...and then when I watched Frieza murder you I- I..." Turning his head to the side, Goku fixes his gaze to a random tree and continues in a softer tone, "You were the main reason I was able to become a Super Saiyan that day you know. Krillin, Piccolo, Dende, Namek and everyone else that monster killed...Although I'd like to say it was because of their sacrifices that I was able to brake through to the next level...It was actually because of you. From the moment your body stopped breathing... from that moment onwards I could feel my power levels rising, but steadily. I hate to admit it, but every other death after yours was just water over flowing in a creek. Even without their deaths I would have eventually reached that level with yours alone." He finishes on a sad note.

Vegeta had never known; never known his death had affected the other so much. It was obvious from his morbid expression that he didn't like to talk about the subject much. Which was probably why he'd never known in the first place. He'd just assumed, like everyone else that the rage from the death of his best friend along with the sorrow of almost losing the Namekian had driven him to the next level. He knew his death had played a role in it, but never realized just how much of one.

He felt terrible and ashamed. Goku had cared about him so much before and after that battle, but he had been to busy harboring thoughts of revenge and denial to even notice. He must have been hurting and confused. Hell, if homosexual relationships were frowned upon on his home planet, he'd be just as confused as him. Earths hero had just admitted to caring more for a previous enemy then his own family and friends. It must have been one hell of a wake up call.

Leaning in, Vegeta rests his forehead against the broad, muscular chest in front of him, while lovingly entwining there tails together. Goku stiffened at the contact for a brief few seconds, but then gradually relaxed and lifted his arms to the Prince's waist to bring them closer together. They stayed in this position for a few comfortable minutes until Vegeta finally spoke up in a soft whisper, "I'm sorry."

Surprised, Goku moves his gaze back to the Saiyan above him and asks in a confused tone, "Why?"

Raising his head to meet the others gaze, Vegeta slides forwards until his lips are an inch away from the Saiyan below him, "For not realizing sooner" he vaguely answers.

Before Goku can comment on his confusion, Vegeta leans in the rest of the way and connects their lips. Unlike their previous kisses this one was soft, tender, gentle and...Loving. There was no tongue or teeth involved, only the passionate action of lip upon lip. And although the usual intensity was missing, their was still the presence of warmth that made Goku feel cherished.

With deep longing and regret, Vegeta slowly withdrew his lips while opening the eyes he never remembered closing in the first place. Below him, Goku was flushed and breathing slightly heavier then a few minutes before. The clear look of love and need in those eyes gave Vegeta the courage to state his next question.

"Kakarot... I-I won't ask you to mate with me here and now... not because I don't want to, but because I wish to do this the right way; but...for the here and now would you consider being in a relationship with me?" He holds his breath, refusing to make a sound while praying silently in his head.

Goku was practically breaming with happiness at the older's confession. He'd been waiting a long time for this admission and could hardly believe the moment was here. Unable to express his joy verbally, Goku instead decides to let his actions speak loader than words.

Tenderly working a hand up Vegeta's spine, it comes to a stop at the nap of his neck as he encourages his Prince to descend once more to meet his lips once again. Like Vegeta did for him in the previous joining of lips, Goku conveyed all his passion and love into a single kiss that left both Saiyan's wanting more. Now that the two knew their feelings for one another were the same, they'd be damned before anyone could stop or interfere with this moment.

Part one is done and part two is on the way, I promise :)
