DaRk SiDe: PaRt 3

As you may or may not have noticed, I added "The Three Eyed One" to the story as well. I've noticed that Fanfiction doesn't even have a section on it. Does anybody know how a new section is made, or if one can be made? I have wanted to write fanfiction for "The Three Eyed One" but there is just no section on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Anyways, on with the story.

The Abandoned Shrine: Third Person

The cave was the same as it had been when Sonic and Tails entered it. Despite his best efforts, the rest of the team voted Sonic out of commission for the duration of their cave exploration. "Sorry, Sonic, but you need to cool down a bit." Hearing that from Tails made Sonic face facts. He was probably just overstressed. A good break would do him good.

Sonic found a nice, flat rock and sat down. The least he could do was stare at the entrance to see incoming enemies. So, like an obedient puppy, he slumped onto the rock and stared glumly out the entrance of the cave. He sighed "well this is no fun."

"Sorry Sonic, but it had to be done." Tails said, "I have to go get some supplies from the X-Tornado, I'll be back soon!" Tails hurried off, leaving the blue blur to deal with Astro and the dull piece of rust known as Caliburn. "Sonic, where was I when you unsheathed me from the rock?" Sonic thought for a moment.

"You were right there" Sonic pointed to a pile of rubble that was overtly glorified by a ray of light shining down on it because of a crack in the roof of the cave. Caliburn hovered over to the pile of rubble and examined the structure carefully. "I had sensed the objects of power here." He said. "When I was here, one was to my left. The other was directly behind Sonic. One more was to my right."

"Let's start with the one to your left." Astro said. "Can you feel it now?" Caliburn concentrated, facing toward the general direction of where he assumed the object to his left had been. He felt a dim presence under the ground, directly in front of him. It radiated of good tidings and happiness. He hovered so that his point was pointing directly at the spot. "I have found it. It is underground, but the exact location is right here."

"Alright, I can take it from here." Astro walked over to where Caliburn was pointing. Astro flew up into the air, then flew back down with a flurry of punches, effectively beating the ground out of the way. Two minutes later, Astro flew back up. "I think I found it, it's a green ring. It's radiating this amazing feeling! It makes me feel happy." Sonic gave Astro a knowing smirk.

"That, Astro, is the ring of Happiness. It's a very good ring to start with. It's capable of neutralizing any of the other negative World Rings."

"World Rings? What are those?"

"The World Rings allow you to manipulate stories and worlds, mending them together. Each one represents a heart that makes up a story. This one is Happiness." Astro nodded, and dove back down into the hole. He came back up holding a rather large green ring, slightly glowing. He gave it to Sonic. Sonic reached out for it with his gauntlet. As soon as the ring touched the gauntlet. The ring started to glow so brightly that it bathed the entire cave in soft green light. Everyone gasped as the ring shrunk and fell into place in one of the ring shaped grooves on the gauntlet.

Sonic tried to pull it out, but it wouldn't give. The ring was fused with the gauntlet. "Whoa, talk about a fancy entrance." Sonic had just finished talking when Tails flew in, seeing everybody gathered around the green metal glove that was now visible to everyone. There was silence. Tails scratched the back of his head, "Did I miss something?"

Eggman's Base: Third Person

Sharaku had seen Eggman's betrayal through his newly created spyscope. He took a step back, appalled at the monstrosity the doctor had sent for him. I need to make myself scarce he thought. Just as he had begun to build a drill vehicle, though. The door shook, then started to slowly fold in on itself. Suddenly, a drill seemed to be all that was needed. The drill was built in considerably less time than he would have normally taken to build it.

Sharaku commenced to call upon the Red Condole for power "Abutoru-Damuraru-Omnisu-Nomnisu-Beru-Esu-Horimaku! Here comes Red-Ugh!" Sharaku was suddenly flung to the other side of the room, dashed against the wall, and then back; screaming the whole way. "Gaagh!" he was dashed into the ground, and the power finally stopped moving him. He struggled to his hands and knees knowing he would see Meogi looking down at him from the door.

She faced the palm of her hand toward Sharaku, and a bright orb emanated from it. That was when things got tricky. Suddenly, a brighter light flashed in between both of them. Meogi, thinking it was Sharaku, shot the psychic burst prematurely, determined to catch him off guard. Such a burst was actually more powerful than a focused one, but they blew out in large explosions of psychic power. So, it just so happened that when Shadow fully materialized, he was literally blasted off his feet and soared over Sharaku's head.

Shadow grunted as he was flattened against the wall, and fell on top of Sharaku. Just like that, both of them were down; but only for a few seconds. Meogi was just as shocked, and if she was going to make any smart remarks of how she easily defeated both of them, they were swallowed. Sharaku was first to regain his sense of reality. He quickly charged up and shot a premature shot of his own from his eye, and Meogi was sent flying.

Shadow gingerly lifted himself off the ground, letting Sharaku get up. He had never been hit with psychic energy, especially not out of the blue; it had knocked all the air out of his chest and thrown him into the wall like if he was a rag doll. Needless to say, Shadow was thoroughly shocked. Since he had been thrown into the three eyed boy, the girl with three eyes would be the one he should thank for his unexpected welcome.

Was this one of Eggman's bases? He could find out later; at the moment, he had certain matters to attend to. Meogi was just about to bring the roof down upon both of them when Eggman's voice boomed in her head "don't let them destroy the base! If we lose the base, we lose everything! Lead them away, do something, but GET THEM OUT OF HERE!"

"Yes, doctor." Eggman couldn't tell if that was truly a confirmation of his orders or if she was mocking him. Meogi charged up her psychic powers so that she could levitate. Then, she proceeded with her strategic retreat. "She's getting away! Quickly, we must follow her!" Sharaku called out "Abutoru-Damuraru-Omnisu-Nomnisu-Beru-Esu-Horimaku! Here comes the Red Condole!" Suddenly, the harpoon-shaped God-staff appeared, and Sharaku stepped onto the shaft, using the Red Condole as a makeshift hover board, and gave chase to the flying three eyed girl.

Shadow stood there for a few seconds, wondering if he was just having a weird dream. Then, he too hovered after them, determined to fire questions at the boy until he was satisfied with what he heard, AFTER dealing with the girl who made him look like a not-so-ultimate life form.
