Finally updated it :) Sorry for the delay, I've had so much going on. I hope you enjoy :)
I walked around aimlessly in the back trying to kill time until I absolutely had to meet up with the guys so they could walk me out for my match with Kaitlyn. I knew it was time for me to start heading over when anyone who I passed with a headset was telling me to go before I missed my mark. I was already dressed in my ring gear so security walked me up to where I would make my entrance. When I arrived there, the guys were already waiting for me. I avoided eye contact with all three of them and did some pre-match stretching to get my blood flowing. When I heard Kaitlyns music play, that's when the butterflies in my stomach started to kick in. I approached the curtain and the guys were waiting behind me.
I turned around and looked at all three of them for the first time. "I want you guys to walk me down half way and then turn around and leave."
"We're suppose to be at ringside for your match," said Seth.
"Randy is suppose to interfere in my match. It would be weird if he jumped in the ring and you guys did nothing to stop him," I said.
"Alright Lexi, you're up," said the producer for RAW that accompanies us.
I heard our song and stepped out after I heard the music kick in. I made my way down the stairs trying not to trip while people from both sides patted or grabbed my arms. When I got half way down the stairs, I turned to the boys and we pounded fists. I continued my way down and they stared down Kaitlyn who was in the ring before turning around and walking back up. I jumped over the barricade and entered the ring.
I never took my eyes off of Kaitlyn who was holding up her divas championship. She put it down in the corner and the ref rang the bell. Before Kaitlyn could turn around, I ran up to her and gave her a swift kick to her back. She fell to the mat on her stomach and I continued to kick her until the ref pulled me away. I waited until Kaitlyn was on her knees and holding on to the second rope before running to her again, this time giving her a knee to the side of her head. She fell to the mat again and I pulled her to the center of the ring. I then climbed to the top rope and gave her a leg drop. I covered her for the count but she kicked out at two. I got her up by her hair and threw her to the ropes. On her way back she hit a near perfect spear on me. She got a huge pop from the crowd and went for the cover.
I kicked out at two and she picked me up, slinging me to the turnbuckle. I stayed there as she ran towards me, bringing her shoulder into my midsection. She did it two more times and I fell down, rolling myself out of the ring and dropping to the floor. While I was down there, I heard the crowd roar and knew Randy must have came out. My assumption was proven to be right when I looked up at the titiantron and saw Randy RKO Kaitlyn. The bell rings, signifying a disqualification and that was my cue to run into the ring and confront Orton who was now half way up the ramp. He had a big smile on his face and I gave him a look that could kill.
A few seconds later I was joined in the ring by the guys who started talking trash to Orton. Reigns came up to me and asked if I was ok and I shook my head yes. The ref came over to me, and after making sure I was ok, informed me that producers had a few more minutes before they could cut to a commercial break and told me to jump Kaitlyn. I shook my head yes and he made his way over to Kaitlyn telling her the same information he told me. I saw Kaitlyn shake her head yes as well, so when she got her divas belt from the time keepers area, I ran out of the ring and grabbed her by the back of her head. I spun her around and slapped her across the face. She recovered and did the same to me. I then grabbed her arm and slung her into the ring post. She fell to the ground and I again picked her up by her hair, but this time I threw her head first into the barricade. She crawled alittle toward the steel steps and rested against them. I then ran and gave her a baseball slide kick, driving her back into the steel steps.
I got up and started to make my way to the side of the ramp, walking as if nothing had happened. The guys quickly got out of the ring and followed me to the back. The crowd was a mixture of booing and cheering. When we got to the back, Stephanie was waiting there. She had a head set on but gave me a thumps up when she saw me. I gave her a small smile and made my way towards our locker room. I walked over to my bags and took a seat next to them while I pulled out my phone and headphones. I connected the headphones to my phone but did not put on any music. I was simply using them to keep Seth and Reigns from talking to me. I pretended to mess with my phone as the guys talked among themselves. Every now and then I could feel Jon look over to me. When I would look up, he kept his eyes on me for a few seconds before turning back to Joe and Colby.
I know it was wrong of me to throw accusations at him like that but I just didn't want to be played out to be a fool. I liked Jon, that was obvious to me by now, and his words kept echoing in my mind. Jon thought he and I were a bad idea and was not working. Since technically there was nothing official between us, I had to accept that. I didn't want Jon to hate me and I didn't want things to be weird between us so I decided that I would bury my feelings. I also had to take into consideration Joe and Colby. I didn't want my drama with Jon to affect them, they were innocent and I swore to not let them get hit during the crossfire.
I was brought out of my thoughts by Colby who had thrown a towel at me. I pulled my headphones out of my ears to play it off that I was infact listening to something.
"A simple call of my name would have sufficed," I told him as I got up and walked towards the three guys.
"We're going over our interference in Orton's match against Punk," said Joe.
"I'm not trying to hog any spot light or anything, but since he did interfere in my match, I think I should go out there as if I'm calling the shots. Make it look as if I'm using you guys to get my revenge. Once that is established I could hit him with a DDT, the way he uses the ropes as leverage and then brings them down." I look at Joe and Colby who are nodding in agreement with me. I then looked over at Jon and was suddenly alittle nervous about what might come out of his mouth.
"Whatever you say, sweetheart."
Great, we were back to the sweetheart thing.
We waited in the back by a monitor so we knew exactly when to go out. Once Cm Punk was getting ready to put Randy away with his GTS, we were to come up from the side of the ramp and surround the ring. Punk would see us coming down and drop Randy on the mat before quickly exiting out of the ring through the crowd.
Punk hit Randy with high running knee to the face and that was our cue. I lead the way and the four of us made our way from the side of the ramp to the ring. Punk was long gone by the time we circled the ring and had it surrounded. I looked at each one of the guys before nodding my head, signaling them to attack. All three of them jumped in and started the assault while I stayed outside of the ring, looking at the action inside with a smile on my face. After a few moments, I finally made my way into the ring. Seth and Reigns picked Randy up and set him on the ropes for me. I then took a hold of his neck before looking out into the crowd then I brought him down to the mat with me. I got up and the four of us stood over him, holding out our fists infront of us. Once we saw the red light on the camera go off, we knew RAW was off the air and over with.
After making our way back to the locker room, the guys said they would shower when they got to the hotel and I agreed. So, everyone made sure they had all of their things packed, and we all headed to our rental car. I wanted to talk to Dean and decided that I would when we got to the hotel. I was starting to get butterflies in my stomach so I offered to drive the two and a half hours to San Antonio. That way I could have some time to calm myself down and avoid any of the guys picking up on my anxious state.
Colby sat shotgun while Joe and Jon sat in the back. I told Colby he could have control over the music which a meant a lot of screaming. I wasn't in the mood to hear any music really but Colby's taste was the only one that wouldn't get me emotional.
I made the drive in no time and was soon pulling up to the hotel. Ofcourse none of the guys were asleep because of the music so as soon as I parked the car, they got out and went to the trunk to get their bags. I shut off the car and got out. Jon was already walking into the hotel while Colby and Joe waited by the car for me to retrieve my things,
"What's up with him?" Asked Colby.
"Who knows," said Joe. He gave me a quick look that screamed 'it better not be about you'. I got my bags and shut the trunk, locking and setting the car alarm. We entered the hotel and the three of us checked in. We were on the same floor, just a few rooms apart, so we rode the elevator up. Once we were on our floor, we said our goodnights and went our separate ways until tomorrow.
I slid my key card in the slot and opened the hotel room door. When I was inside, I placed my bags by the bed that didn't have Jons things already by it. I heard the shower running and the bathroom door was closed. I hadn't really thought about what exactly I was going to say to Jon, I had only made up my mind that I was going to talk to him tonight. I got my clothes ready for when he was done. A few minutes later the shower turned off and Jon walked out in just basketball shorts. His hair was wet and the sight of him made me ache alittle inside. He didn't look at me, just walked over to his bed and layed down. I got up and made my way to the bathroom. Before closing the door, I looked over to Jon.
"I want to talk to you. I'm not looking to fight, not at all. I just want to get some things clear. WHen I come out, if you're sitting up in bed, I'll know you want to listen. If you're laying down in bed like you are now, I swear I won't say a word."
I took my shower and when I was finished, got dressed in my sweats and t-shirt that had become my attire for bed when I was on the road. I gathered my things and took a deep breath before opening the door. When I did, I looked over to Jon who was sitting up in his bed with his arms crossed over his chest. I let out a small sigh of relief and walked over to my open bag where I placed the clothes I was wearing and my shower things. I turned back towards Jon and tried not to let my nervousness show through.
"Are you just going to stand there all night breathing heavy? Asked Jon.
I narrowed my eyes at him. "No."
"Well, I'm right here waiting to listen but you haven't said anything. You've just stood there."
I closed my eyes and kept them shut as I tried to get the words out of my mouth. "Jon, my nerves are shot from everything that has happened these past two days. To be honest, the way I'm feeling right now, I could burst into tears if you say the wrong thing to me. So, please." My voice cracked alittle bit but I cleared my throat and finally opened my eyes.
Ofcourse, he was staring right at me. His eyes did soften a bit and he uncrossed his arms. "Did you really think I would try and get at your best friend?"
I felt my throat tighten up and my eyes start to water. I threw myself on my bed so that I was laying on my stomach and my face was buried in the pillow. "No. I let my insecurities and feelings for you get to me so I switched myself to bitch mode." It was muffled because of the pillow but he heard it.
"You don't have anything to be insecure about," said Jon.
I lifed my head off of the pillow and looked over to him. "Let's not open that can of worms tonight."
He laughed alittle and that melted me. I liked him and was completely kidding myself thinking that I could do the casual thing with him and not fall for him. I moved so I was laying on my back and looking up at the ceiling. "I'm sorry, Jon. I shouldn't have started anything with you knowing that I had feelings for you and that you didn't want anything serious. I just wanted something from you, anything. Even if it wasn't what I wanted."
Jon sighed before getting up and coming to sit next to me. He leaned over me and rested his hand beside me. "It's not all your fault. I kind of knew you weren't the hook-up type. I wanted you and tried to tell myself you would be able to deal with it. Clearly we were both wrong."
"Yeah," I said. He climbed over me and layed down next to me, both of now staring up to the ceiling. I tensed up when I felt him reach for my hand and he intertwined his fingers with mine. "What are you doing?"
"I still want you."
"It's nice to want things sometimes."
Jon sighed. "So that's how it's going be?"
"I don't know. It's safe to say that our bodies work extremely well together, but I want something that you can't give me."
"I'm sorry for the shit I said to you, Lex. I was jut trying to piss you off as much as you had pissed me off."
"I know, I get it." After a few moments of silence passed I added, "So, just friends?"
He brought my hand to his lips and gave it a kiss. "Whatever you say, sweetheart."
I closed my eyes and felt some relief that I had talked things out with Jon. We were friends, that seemed to be the only way the two of us working together would go smoothly. At least, I hope it would.
A light buzzing woke me up. When I finally opened my eyes, I realized that Jon and I were now entangled around each other. I couldn't help the smile that crept onto my lips, my feelings for Jon weren't going to go away over night. The buzzing continued and when I lifted my head off of Jon's chest, his arms around me tightened. "Sleep, Lex. I need more sleep."
"You can sleep all you want, but I need to get my phone. I think someone's calling me," I said while I untangled my limbs from his. He grunted as I did so and then stretched himself out on my bed before rubbing his eyes and face. I walked over to my bags and pulled out my cell phone, it was Sara.
"Hey, you," I answered.
"Hey, just wanted to tell you that all your things arrived this morning from Tampa. Our beds and linens got here to. I already set up our electric bill, cable, and internet so tomorrow we could go shopping for the tvs and maybe some things to decorate if the place still seems to bare when we unpack everything."
"Damn, you've been extremely productive this morning," I said as I sat down on my bed.
"Well, I wanted to make sure everything was set up before you got here tomorrow," she said. "I also have three job interviews this afternoon. Two are for some hotels on the strip and one is ofcourse HOOTERS," she added.
"I would kill for some of your famous HOOTERS sangria," I said.
Sara laughed. "Well, I'll make some while we unpack our things tomorrow."
"O yeah, that doesn't sound like a disaster waiting to happen," I said.
She was quiet for a few moments before she spoke again. "How are things with you and Jon?"
I turned around and saw Jon laying down. He didn't look like he was sleeping, more like he was to comfortable to move. I walked into the bathroom and shut the door behind me. "I talked to him lastnight and was completely honest with him. He said he still wants me but you know how that goes."
"Did you sleep with him?" She asked.
"Yes, but just sleeping took place. I don't even remember falling asleep. We agreed to just be friends."
"If you think that's going to work then you're an idiot. I'm sorry, I love you, but deep down you know you can't just be friends with him."
"I know but it's not like we're out in the real world and I have the choice to never see him again. I work with him, Sara. I share a fucking hotel with him every night. I work out with him, I travel with him. I do everything with him except shower and shit!"
"Well thank you for that imagine of you," mumbled Sara. "You also forgot that you lived in the same complex as him."
"I have to try, Sara. I can not let this thing with Jon throw me off my game. I've worked all these years to get to the WWE, I have to constantly remind myself of that. Plus, I don't want this to affect Seth and Reigns. I won't let it."
"Well chika, may the force be with you."
I smiled into the phone. "Thank you, master."
"Hey, just know that I'm here for you. Whether it's about wrestling, life, love or anything else that is thrown at you," said Sara.
"I know, that's one of the reasons I'm still sane after all of these years. I hope you know I'm here for you too, even if I'm going through my constant Alexis drama, you're my sister."
"I know."
The four of us had done our usual routine of working out, getting something to eat, going back to the hotel to shower, and then coming to the arena for the taping of smackdown. When we arrived we were told that Ambrose was going to face Orton for the main event which would end in a disqualification because The Shield were to get involved. Right now we were getting ready to do a promo that would air just before our match. The guys and I took our places infront of the camera. Ambrose and Seth were in the middle while I was by Deans side and Reigns was on Seths side.
"Ready when you are," said one of the producers.
I started it off. "So, Randy thinks he can get involved in our business boys. I say ours and not mine because when you mess with one Shield member, you mess with all four of us."
"Tonight, we're giving Randy what he wants. He wants to go after The Shield? Well, Randy, we welcome you with open arms," continued Dean.
"Consider this a dose of justice that the hounds will personally deliver," said Seth.
"Believe that, and believe in The Shield," finished Reigns.
I was to escort Dean to his match so we followed security and waited to make our entrance. Dean warmed up by doing some stretching and made sure his hair was drenched in water. A few minutes later, Orton's music hit and Dean jumped up and down where he stood.
I walked and stood right behind him where I placed my hands on his shoulders and stood on the tips of my toes so I could whisper in his ear. "Are you ready for Mr. Third Generation?" I asked trying to help him get into a stress free zone.
He turned his head so that his eyes met mine. "He's third generation? I had no idea. Do you think I should be nervous?" He teased.
I massaged his shoulders aliitle bit. "Naw, I think you handle him."
Our music hit and Dean gave me his signature smirk before we stepped through the curtain and in to the crowd.
Next chapter will be a lot more juicier ;) reviews please lol I love knowing what you guys think
