We were all sitting around the tattoo parlor after hours. The boys had just closed up and we were making plans for the weekend. Christmas was five days away, and we were all going to spend the holidays with the boy's parents again. I loved it with Edward's family there was so much love there. I could feel it the second we pulled in the drive way, that first time a month ago. Esme and Carlisle made me feel so much like family. Esme making it no secret she wanted me to be her daughter one day.
This was the family I had looked for my whole life the only thing that could make it better was if Jacob was here to share it with me. It was going on six months without him the ache was becoming less and less. I missed him a lot the past few weeks. But, I was learning to deal with the pain. Dr. Clearwater was pushing me to go back and face my father and say goodbye to Jacob. She said I needed to forgive him. She was right I felt guilty for wanting him to have stayed alive for me. I feel angry that he left me. But I'm not sure if it's something that I can do alone.
Edward squeezed my hand bringing me back to reality. I looked in to the emerald-green eyes I loved so much and saw the silent question of are you alright? I gave him a knowing smile to reassure him I was. He was so perceptive.
"Well it's getting late and this mamma needs to go to bed," Alice said standing up rubbing her belly. "we still on for shopping tomorrow girls?"
"Yes," rose and I said at the same time giggling.
"Alice you realize its only 8 right grandma?" Emmett chuckled.
Jasper slapped him upside the head as they walked out saying good night to us. Rose and Emmett followed right after no doubt greeting and early start on their night romp session. They were so funny they fought all the time but you could see how perfect they were for each other.
Edward was driving us home. We were riding in silence when he spoke.
"What are you thinking about?" he asked.
"Nothing just how lucky I am to have all of you," I smiled.
He brought my hand to his mouth and kissed my knuckles. "Are you excited for Christmas?"
"Um yeah Christmas is my favorite of all holidays." I beamed.
Edward chuckled, "mine too."
"I just wish he was here you know?" I sighed.
EPOV
"I know," I said parking the car and Turning to face her. " I miss my parents every year. It will be 13 years this Christmas and not one goes by that I don't want to see them again. But, it has gotten a lot easier, especially since I met you."
I brought my lips slowly to hers kissing her gently but passionately letting her know how much she meant to me.
It was almost ten Bella and the girls were finishing up their shopping, before this weekend. I had asked jasper to come with me. I was going to ask Bella to marry me. And the ring was the last thing on my agenda. I had my mom's ring re-sized and was picking it up today.
"Are you sure about this man? Jasper asked.
"I've never been surer about anything in my life." I sad opening the ring box the clerk just handed me.
"What do you think?"
"Isn't that your mom's ring?" he said cocking an eyebrow.
"Yes I had it sized," I grinned.
It was a platinum band that beginning to form stems to a rose made of diamonds that surrounded the center carat diamond. I never remember seeing my mom without it.
"I think she'll love it "he paused. "Eventually. "
"Look jasper I know it's fast but I won't ask her till its right I just want to have it so when the time comes I'm ready ok?"
"Alright bro just make sure your ready if things go south. I see the way you look at her and I just don't want either of you to get hurt." He patted me on the back.
I was at home waiting on Bella I had a plan hopefully everything would go perfectly.
"Edward I'm home," she said walking in and stopping dead in her tracks.
A/N: so what do you think?
