In the cyber world, MegaMan and Roll have finished another training session. Of course, without a NetOp of her very one, Lan will be one for the latter.

"It looks like we're done, Roll," the blue Navi stated after cutting down some viruses with his Cyber Sword.

"Yeah, same here," his pink friend replied back after using a Roll Blast on one virus. "Hey, MegaMan?"

"Yeah, Roll?"

"If Maylu goes back to us willingly, great, but I got a bad feeling of a worse case scenario."

"What do you mean?"

Roll took deep breaths as if she is quite nervous about the worse case scenario part of the conversation she will have to talk with him.

"I see her not only as a best friend, but also as a sister. Tell me, what if Maylu were to attack DenTech City? What should I do, then?"

Just then, a spit take sound has been heard and as the two look, it's Lan doing this with a glass of water. He must have heard it.

"What? Maylu attacking DenTech City? That's impossible! There's no way she would do something like that!" the boy is in disbelief.

"Maylu is becoming naive as far as I can tell," Roll explained. "She can be manipulated into doing anything she's been ordered to. What I'm saying is, can she be stopped? Or even kill her if needed be?"

The two boys are conflicted with these questions. It's as if she also knows the secret that Yahoot tries to make sure Maylu would never find out of.

"Can all of us weigh Maylu against the city on a set of scales?"

"We will defend the city, Roll!" Lan replied with resolve.

"And we will stop Maylu without killing her!" his Navi also cried with resolve.

"Thank you, all of you," Roll cried with tears of happiness and MegaMan puts his hand to her shoulder.

Then, a message appeared in Maylu's PET. As Lan and the two Navis opened a message, it's from Maylu so they start reading it.

"Dear Roll,

I know you want to find me. If you want to know where am I, I'm at some old warehouse at Elec Town, but I'm at the cyber world by now.

Signed,

Maylu"

"So ready to get her back?" MegaMan extended his hand.

"Ready," Roll holds his hand in reply.

"Well, let's go!" Lan picks up the two PETs and runs off from his room and out of the house.

As he runs outside, he heads to a phone booth to tell Yai, Tory, and Dex that Maylu is at a warehouse by Elec Town and they should get there to get their friend back.

Don't worry, Maylu. I will save you from that darkness you now have, just like how you saved me from that day in the N1. Roll thought in resolve while looking at MegaMan.

As they all arrive in the warehouse, Lan and his friends proceed to jack-in their NetNavis.

"Jack in, MegaMan, Roll..."

"Jack in, Glide..."

"Jack in, IceMan..."

"Jack in, GutsMan..."

"Power up!" they cried together.

The five NetNavis are jacked in to see the fact that they're in a visible platform with the surroundings in color blue.

"I knew you would come here," a voice stated as TorchMan, WackoMan, ElecMan, and MagicMan appeared as well.

From the real world, the kids turned from the front to see a big screen that Mr. Match, Maddy, Count Zap, and Yahoot all appeared, broadcasting it from their hideout.

"We all knew you'd come here," the yoga-loving man stated.

"Would you look at that? Maylu's ex-NetNavi has come to the rescue as well!" Maddy taunted.

"Give Maylu back!" Roll exclaimed as she swings her right hand to her back.

"Really? Is that why you're here? When are you going to learn? Maylu came to us by her own free will. Why can't you just accept the truth?" WackoMan

Roll gritted her teeth in anger and a fist is formed by her right hand.

"Why, you..."

"If you want to know about Maylu, you'll have to force it out of us," Mr. Match stated as TorchMan and WackoMan left to the other side of the battlefield. At the same time, MegaMan and Roll also follow them in pursuit, leaving only ElecMan and MagicMan with the other three.

"Hold it, you three. You can't meddle in their affairs," Yahoot said.

"Just like you meddle in mine!" Count Zap is angry, thinking back on how the three almost got him during that match in the N1. Then he calms down. "So let's fight just by ourselves while Lan, MegaMan, and Roll will handle Mr. Match and Maddy."

The three good Navis charged with the two evil Navis as the battle starts.

Meanwhile, on the other side, MegaMan and Roll are ready to take on TorchMan and WackoMan.

"It looks like the battle is about to begin," Maddy readies her chip on her hand and Mr. Match also did the same.

"Ready, MegaMan, Roll?" Lan asked from the real world while holding two PETs at the same time.

"Ready!" the two NetNavis exclaimed in resolve.

"Now, Cyber Sword, Battle Chip in. Download!" the boy inserts the Cyber Sword chip to the two PETs giving them the chance for their attacks on the Navis from World Three. MegaMan focuses on TorchMan, who has the Cyber Sword as well. As for Roll and WackoMan...

"I'm gonna play with you a little while, sweetie," the latter taunted as he pulls out a small ball from his hand.

"Maylu... give her back!" the former charges with a sword on her hand.

WackoMan started to throw the ball to her that Roll dodges it, and when it landed on the ground, it explodes. He

"You know, Roll, I've been wondering who is stronger now," Maddy taunted from the screen beside her NetNavi. "You or my Maylu?"

Hearing those words would her getting angry enough that purple energy started to come out of her. Her boots have heels appearing, nails turning sharp, having mascara on her eyes, and teeth turning sharp. What's more is that electric shoulder pad appeared on her shoulders, her back has the same type of pad, an electric tail appeared, and a whip appeared on her hands.

MegaMan and TorchMan are still fighting to see this result.

"Don't talk about Maylu like you own her! Especially in front of me!" Roll yelled in anger.

As the two come face to face in her Empress form, Maddy and WackoMan are just smiling at this as if this is no concern to them.

"We should have known you'd be transforming. WackoMan, get in there and finish this fight," the former instructed.

"Gladly!" the latter agreed and jumps into the air as he kicks off the ball he's floating on. "Wacko Ball!"

Roll dodges it and started to hit the ground with her whip to send an electric attack on him, but WackoMan is smart enough to jump out of the way.

"You're good, Roll, but not good enough to stop me," the clown-like Navi jeers on his opponent before taunting her. "Face it, Maylu is not anymore the girl you once knew."

"Then I will change that! I swear I will!" the pink Navi retorted.

Just then, a Fire Tower is heading behind Roll and she got hit from it. It was TorchMan and MegaMan is down. Seeing this, Roll started to charge onto him, and she got hit with a Wacko Ball from WackoMan, putting her to the ground as well.

"Tell me, have you finally come to comprehend pain, 'Empress'? Unless you come to know the same pain, you cannot truly comprehend someone else. Even if you do comprehend them, you still may not ever agree with them. That is the truth, and that's why it's pointless for you to chase after Maylu," the fire-themed Navi explained in disdain due to what happened when Roll was free from World Three's control during that N1 Grand Prix match. "Anyway, we're just giving you a warm-up. So see you later."

"Are you okay?" Roll lends MegaMan a hand to help him stand up.

"Yes, I guess so, Roll," was his reply and his friend changed back to her normal form.

"Now, let's go!" the pink Navi runs off with MegaMan in hopes they could find Maylu in the cyber world.
