This afternoon, Lan and MegaMan are in the still thinking about what happened back there. Their other friends went back to their home.
"Oh, why hasn't Maylu returned?" the former complained as he puts himself down to his bed.
"I don't get it. She's supposed to return to us after deleting Roll."
"I don't know about you, but I have a gut feeling there is more to her than meets the eye."
To Lan, only time will tell if his female friend could veer go back to him.
Somewhere, on the other side of town by the mysterious hideout of WWW, Maylu is looking at the evening sky.
"What are you doing? The preparations are already completed," Mr. Wily arrived.
"Whenever I looked upon the full moon, it takes me back to that day. Even though it's not nighttime during that match in the N1 Grand Prix. Memories... I've been trying so hard to forget. I can finally recall things about Roll. Memories that are deep within my heart will now be restored fully," replied the girl.
Just then, a memory has occurred during the day when Roll was Empress.
"Roll, stop! You're hurting him!" Maylu cried.
"Can it, May, 'cause you don't rule me anymore," the brainwashed NetNavi replied in defiance.
At one point after that, Maylu had looked at her NetNavi, who takes notice of her during the battle. It was this moment that Roll, as Empress, had shed tears.
Her NetOp saw this before putting her head down with her eyes closed in sadness.
She tried to forget this, until now.
The memory is over.
"I saw her crying, then. I thought I imagined it; I didn't realize it," Maylu mused.
Mr. Wily looks at the girl in silence.
"It seems that what you told is the truth, after all," Maylu continued.
"So how about Roll's eyes? You want to transplant them?" the mad scientist asked as he walked beside her.
"No, I won't. What Roll wanted to see, and I will see from here on out will be complete different. I can't do what Roll wished me to; I will restore the Sakurai name, including mine, in my own way."
"It's settled, then. First thing, tomorrow morning, you're going to see a new group once World Three has fallen apart," Mr. Wily said. "Now, get some sleep."
"Okay, I will," Maylu then walked from the top floor back to her room to get some sleep.
The next morning, Mr. Wily has taken a taxi where his new operative is going to some mysterious hideout under his orders.
"Now, listen up, all of you. Maylu has some... private matters to attend to so say your goodbyes to her, okay?" he said before going back inside.
"Okay, we will!" Mr. Match, Maddy, Count Zap, and Yahoot yelled and say their goodbyes.
As soon as she left, the female member started to burst in tears while hugging the redheaded man.
"Why?! Why does Maylu have to leave with Mr. Wily?!"
"Cool your jets, lassie. I'm sure we'll see her again when she returns with Mr. Wily," Mr. Match comforted her.
"Yeah, I'm sure she'll come back around," the count also joined in comforting her.
Hmm, Mr. Wily has taken interest in Maylu after she deleted Roll, Yahoot thinks with suspicious in his mind. Could it be that he told her truth about what happened on that day? I got to do something in case she found out.
The taxi takes Maylu to some mysterious hideout. In it, she heard a voice as soon as she goes to the top floor.
"Good to see your, Maylu," a voice said and as she turns around, it's a man with long green hair, wearing a black coat, and has a glowing right eye; his left eye is hidden under his hear. "Welcome to Grave."
As she sits down on a table, the girl is being introduced to an old man wearing a half-colored business suit which is red and black, and a blonde man wearing a green business suit. There's also a member who is wearing a cap, glasses, and black jeans, and finally, a dark-looking man.
"Now, Maylu, this is Mr. Gauss Magnus, Arashi Kazefuki, Speedy Dave, and Dark Miyabi. And, in reverse..."
"So, Maylu, what brings you here?" asked the old man.
"To help me with my plot, that's what. I'm going to destroy DenTech City," was her reply and this shocks only Dave, not the others.
"So you learned about your NetNavi," Arashi went near to her. "That means you can also kill Yai, her father..."
"First, I'll target the higher-ups, and as for the rest, it doesn't matter," Maylu said with her hands clasped on mouth level.
"But why would you want to do this?" Dave asked in fear. Surely, he joined Grave, but he doesn't want to destroy anything.
"To avenge how my family and me suffered from being outcasts of this city, that's what! Not only that, but how I suffered is when they used Roll against me on that day!" the girl cried out in anger as she stands up and makes a fist on the table.
"First, I'll give you a mission. Capture Glide, Yai's NetNavi, and then we can talk about your goal to destroy this city," the leader stated.
Maylu stands up from the table and opens a portal to the cyberworld from her watch, and goes to it, preparing her mission to start.
