Book 7: chapter 6: The Phoenix temple. Turning up the heat!

"So this is the Phoenix temple... It's not so hot." Trigger happy said forgetting the fact he ate the Chilly Cherry.

The Skylanders looked around. The intior walls was withered stone. So was the floor. The flooring was fractured. Lava could be seen through the cracks.

"Aye... Looks like the floor could give away at any moment now..." Jet-vac said worried.

"Hey, Look!" Sunburn said pointing at the center of the room. There, A golden cauldron sat on a podium.

"So... That must be the Phoenix cauldron." Guin said before walking towards it. As soon as he approach the Golden cauldron. He began to pull it out of its base. But stopped when he notice something in the cauldron. There was actually a oval shape stone, Sitting in a pile of lava rocks. Inside the cauldron. The stone shined brightly with diffrent colors.

"What a strange stone..." Guin mumbled before.

"MINE!"

Suddenly a chubby blue owl swooped down. Knocking both the cauldron and Guin over. The stone that was in the cauldron rolled out.

"That cauldron is property of Master Kaos!" The owl shouted before turning into Skrap. When he landed his feet began to smoke. "HOTHOTOHOTHOTHOT!" He yelled in pain.

"Did'nt quite think of a plan did ya?" Sunburn said helping Guin up.

"Uh... Well I... Fooled you! That because you have... Fallen into my trap! OW!" Skrap said before hoping on one foot.

"And what trap is that? Making us laugh to death?" Lucy said with a smirk.

"No! Ow! I mean. YES! Because now while you are distracted. I'll take the cauldron." Skrap said before starting to hop on his other foot. "And then my big brother will throw me a party. There will be clowns, cake, Balloon animals." The chubby lizard said daydreaming.

He then grabbed the cauldron edges... Before recoilng his hands in pain. "OWOWOWOWHOTHOTHOT!" Skrap screamed before dropping the cauldron. "Maybe I should've wore gloves today..." He then notice the brightly color stone that was laying in front of the cauldron. "Well. I'm not leaving empty handed!" He then swooped the stone up before running off.

"Hey! Get back here!" Some of the Skylanders examed Before chasing after the frillneck. Before being stopped by Guin.

"Let him go... We only need one treasure..." Guin said walking over to the Phoenix cauldron.

"I hope master likes pretty rocks..." Skrap said in worried as he walked away from the Phoenix temple. Unaware that something was watching him carrying the mystrous stone... Something Skrap ticked off.

Guin's ears twitch before saying. "What was that sound?" The Skylanders were loading the cauldron onto the Train. Suddenly the Skylanders gave into the weight and the cauldron fell on top of them. After a few seconds. The Skylanders began to lift up the cauldron again. Gritting their teeth as they did so.

"Hey! The train's about to leave!" Blink shouted.

Guin then looked around. His face turing into a mix of worried and concerned. He then got on the train with the rest.

"This thing better be worth it... because it was breaking our backs..." Trigger happy said exsusted.

"Blink, set a course to the center of the volcano." Guin said. Blink just stared at him.

"...Have you been using catnip?" Blink asked. "The volcano erupts at random. There's no telling when it will blow. And probably with you in it!"

Guin then gave Blink a cold stare. "Fine... It's your funeral." Blink said turning to the controls.

The train then chugged off towards Sasa volcano.

"This is the most horrible place in the universe!" Skor shouted annoyed. Gaul was looking through a telescope. "There's no AC. No water. And a nest of baby fire salamanders have imprinted on me!" Skor then lifted his tail. A group of small red fire salamanders were hanging on his tail. "Mama! Mama! Mama!" They chanted. Skor then flinged the salamanders off his tail.

"Speaking of a pain in the tail... What will we do with that leopunk and his skylosers?" Skor asked.

"Oh yeah... We'll kill them." Gaul said casually.

"Oh, Okay." Skor then began to tap his claws together. He then walked over to Gaul. "Now when you say "Kill" Do you mean beat them up? Or the classic booby trap?"

"No. I meant Stab them and throw them in the lava pit." Gaul said clearly.

"Kill? As in Kill kill?" Skor asking.

"Yeah... Wait... Are you telling me you never Killed a person before?" Gaul said.

"What!?" Skor then cleared his throat. "Of course I killed before. I'm a villain. I mean. Seriously. What kind of villain would I be if I never Killed?" Skor then began to chuckled nervously.

"Hmmmm... Let me think... A coward." Gaul said. Skor felt like he was nailed by a hammer.

"A coward!? Some nerve. I did kill... I did... Didn't I? I...I...Have I really not took a single life in my villain career?" Skor thought as a realization came over him.

"Hmm... Seems like you are in deep thought... I'll leave you to it..." Gaul said walking over to the cliff. He then began to look through the telescope again.

As he looked through the telescope. He saw a train coming out of a tunnel. Gaul just grinned evilly.
