Book 8: Ch 6: Quicksilver vault.

"...You see Lady Anmlise...I never actually ended a person's life before..." Skor admitted. "I know what your thinking. "Skor, your the most cowardly demon I have ever met."

"That's where your wrong." Anmlise began. She then got up from her seat at the table. "You are the most cowardly, moronic, Demon in the entire world."

"Ouch..." Skor winched mentally. "That's not nice...But anyway." Suddenly he disappeared in a puff of black smoke. He then reappeared in front of the balcony windows. Anmlise then quickly followed her scaled admirer. Skor then turned to her, the two were facing each other. "Lady Anmlise...I'm have completely falling for you...Your Bloodlust...Your cold stare...I want you to hurt me so badly! I know its a twisted kind of love...But it's all real." Skor admitted.

"...What are you really planning?" Anmlise asked with suspicion.

"Pardon?" Skor asked confused.

"You think you can just toy with me?" Lady Anmlise said hurtfully. "Your "Love" Is actually a sick plan that you devise...What are you going to do? Are you going to poison me after we get married so you can seize Mongaul? Your love isn't real...No...You were planning on betraying me from the very start; you...you...demon!"

Suddenly Skor then took a step towards her. "Wh-What are you doing!? Get away from me!" Anmlise threaten. Skor then grabbed her chin and kissed her, Lady Anmlise struggled as she tried to tore herself away from Skor's muzzle. After a few seconds the struggling stopped, When Skor realize she had calmed down; he broke the kiss and pulled away leaving Anmlise both confused and disgusted...Actually, Half of her wasn't actually disgusted, She felt both confused and...Something else...Happiness? Excitement? She felt even more confused then ever now.

"Now...You know I don't have the nerve to kill...I let other people do that for me..." Skor whispered into Anmlise's face. He then notice her confused look and said. "What's the matter...was that your first kiss from a Dinosaurin?" Anmlise just stood there and nodded. "Anmlise...I love you...I may not have the courage to kill...And I may not be human...And I may be...Oh I might as well admit it...Not exactly the handsomeness beast you will ever met...But my love and dark magic is all I have to offer." He then opened the balcony doors and turned to Anmlise again. He then lifted Anmlise chin with one of her claws and kissed her again, She didn't fight this time, instead closed her eyes and began to enjoy it, she then; to her own surprise, wrapped her arms around Skor, the reptile then grinned and held her the same way she did. After a minute Skor broke the kiss. "I'll give you some time to think about it" Skor said. nuzzling her face. "...Goodnight my love..." He then transformed into his crow form and flew out into the dark night.

Once Skor was out of sight, Lady Anmlise then staggered back onto the wall. "...What...Exactly...Happened...just...now...? She said confused.

The Quicksilver Temple stood on a cliff, Once used by the Arkyean as a storage vault for storing rare fuel; it is now forgotten.

"Be on your guard Skylanders...We may encounter many hostile machine-" Guin said just before a table popped into existence interrupting him.

"It's tea time!" Hoot Loop, a owl magician exclaimed before waving his staff; summoning both tea cups and tea pot. The tea cups then landed on plates that were sitting on the table, he then began to pour tea for himself. "Life should have more tea partys...Don't you agree?" He then took a sip from his cup.

Everyone then just looked at Hoot Loop with a strange look. "I don't recall him coming with us..." Guin said confuse. Suddenly his gauntlet begin to glow, right before Rattle Shake appeared.

"Rattle Shake! What are you doing here?" Kane asked. The T-rex was still shocked by the snake's entrance.

Rattle Shake then twisted in place before saying. "When I heard Hoot was coming here, I decided to come as well...Besides, Two Swap Force Skylanders are better then one!"

Guin was put into one of his strategy thoughts, As he pulled together what Rattle Shake was saying. "Rattle Shake and Hoot Loop...On their own, are a force to be reckon with, But if I swap their powers...Yes, Perfect. If I combine Hoot Loop's power of teleporting with Rattle Shake's snake rifle..."

"So we meet again, Guin..." The Leopard headed warrior headed warrior ears twitched when he heard that voice. He and the Skylanders turn around and saw Skaler and Skrap, Along with a dozen of armed Links. "I didn't know you had time to stand in the opening thinking to yourself..." Skaler said chuckling.

"Ah...You must be that Shidoh chap that Guin was telling me about...Or...Do you go by the name of Skaler now?" Hoot Loop said waving his wand and bringing the tea pot close to him.

"...But, I didn't tell you about him..." Guin said with a confuse look.

"What matters that he's here with us..." Hoot Loop said eyes close as he pour himself another cup. "...Your just in time for...TEA!" Suddenly without warning he threw the full cup of tea at Skaler, Which miss him completely and hit one of the Links instead; Causing it to hiss in pain and fall to the ground.

Skaler took that as the first strike. "Links, seize them!" Skaler ordered. The green lizards then hiss before charging at the Skylanders.

"Swap us, Swap us, Swap us, SWAP US!" Rattle Shake shouted panicky. Guin then grabbed the snake ranger by the tail and threw him at Hoot Loop. He was ready to swap. Hoot Loop then warped out of his seat and reappeared on the table before leaping at Rattle Shake.

SWAPPABLE UNSTOPABLE!

Rattle Shake and Hoot Loop then grabbed each others arms and swapped haves. Rattle Shake now had Hoot Loop's owl legs along with his magic teleporting rings, Making him Rattle Loop. Hoot now had Shake's snake tail turning him into Hoot Shake.

"What?" Skaler said shocked. "How in the world...?"

"Neat." Skrap said before taking a picture with a camera he had.

Suddenly Hoot Shake fell on his side. He wasn't used to having a snake tail. "Um...A little help? Anybody?" He said trying to stand up.

Suddenly Rattle Loop disappeared and reappeared next to a Link. "Go ahead...Snake my day." Rattle Loop said before disappearing again. He then appeared again behind some Links before shooting them all in the backs with snake venom, they then fainted from the poison.

Hoot Shake then got up and collided his tail into a spring. "This ought to put a spring in my step!" He exclaimed before springing towards some Links. One of the Links then swung a staff at the magician, but the snake bird just bounce over it. Suddenly the bird's eyes began to spin, He was using his hypno abilities to hypnotize the Links; He then commanded them to knock themselves out. The Links then struck themselves with their own weapons until they couldn't stand any more.

"It's over Skaler..." Guin said walking up to the two blue lizards. "Your completely overpowered."

"...Skrap...Let's go. I seen enough." Skaler said suddenly.

"But...What about the Quicksilver?" Skrap said confuse.

"Leaving, Now." Skaler ordered.

Skaler and Skrap, along with the remaining Links, ran away. After they left, Guin and the Skylanders made their way to the vault; However had no ideal how to open it. Suddenly A holographic projection of the Arkyean Weapon master appeared in front of the vault. "Well done, Guin." Said in a robotic tone. "You have formed a unbreakable bond with your Skylanders...You are truly a great Portal Master. Now for your prize..." Suddenly the hologram disappeared and the vault opened, reveling a tank of glowing silver liquid.

"The QuickSilver..." Guin muttered as he walked up to it. But just as he was about to touch the glass tank.

"Uh...Guin...?" Spyro said, the dragon was looking off a cliff near the temple. Guin then walked over to Spyro and gazed into the land below, The rest of the Skylanders then followed.

"What...Happened?" Guin asked shocked. When Guin first came through the plains that were below the mountains connection to Skylands were beautiful, flowers along with a sheet of green grass decorated the natural landscapes; along with a few acres of forests...and of course the even more beautiful waterfall

But not anymore, The landscape was now grey; and all the plants were withered. But the worst was saved for last, the waterfall was now polluted with brown gunk.

"...We need to get the Core operation again..." Guin said breaking his gaze from the horrible wasteland. "Skylanders...We're going home, Take the Quicksilver Tank and head back to the Core Island."

The Skylanders nodded before walking over to the vault and began to remove the tank. Guin then sighed and turned to the wasteland one final time.

The fate of this world and his past were now both entirely in his hands... and the Skylanders too of course.
