Michelle woke suddenly and in a panic when she slowly had opened her eyes and found unfamiliar surroundings. Frantically looking about she saw the nurse come in and started stuttering her words. The realisation of what had happened to her back on the wing had not yet hit but she knew something must be wrong. The patronising prison nurse instantly tried to calm her but this only left her feeling more anxious than before. She needed to know how she had come to be there and was only confused and uncertain because she was panicking. Not alone on the ward Michelle carried on glancing about to see if she recognised anyone else in. As she scanned that was when she was sure she saw at the end of the row Carla asleep in the bed.

With eyes wide and in alarm she tried to move out of the bed but the nurse very abruptly stopped her. There was no way she was moving out of her bed. Realising that she wasn't going to be able to find out for herself she lay back in the bed and questioned the nurse only to have her worst suspicions confirmed, it was Carla.

"What happened?" asked Michelle in a shaky voice.

"You need your rest" snapped back the nurse reluctant to talk.

"Please she is my best friend" begged Michelle, agitated and upsetting herself.

"She needs her rest too. Now I don't want to hear any more about this." snapped the nurse as she turned up Michelle's drip and went off.

Michelle could already feel the affects of the drugs on her body but all she could see of Carla was her asleep and what looked like bandaging around her head. She tried to move but her body twinged with pain. Determined though Michelle made herself move. Grabbing all the tubes going into her arm she ripped them out and had to suppress the urge to scream to avoid attracting attention. All other patients seemed to be drowsy or asleep so Michelle hoped she wouldn't get caught. In extreme pain she twisted on her bed to put her feet to the floor and instantly felt dizzy from having sat up. Taking a moment to collect herself Michelle sat on the edge of the bed as she tried to psych herself up to stand.

Feeling ready Michelle pushed down on the bed and raised her body up to stand on her feet. The pain was unbearable and her balance almost non existent but still she soldiered on. Ignoring all the pain she shuffled forward and then felt breathless. Carla wasn't far but she was going to make it across the room without stopping for a breather. Grabbing the next bed along she steadied herself again and caught her breath before setting off again and making it two bed widths before having to stop again. Eventually after one last stretch she made it to Carla's bed and supported herself as she came to a standstill at Carla's side.

Feeling slightly sick Michelle supported herself by holding on to Carla's bed but was worried as her friend hadn't seemed the slightest bit disturbed by her arrival. Whispering to Carla she asked her to wake up, begged her also but she didn't. Screwing up her face she winced in pain as she supported all her weight on one arm whilst reaching out with an unsteady and shaking hand to stroke Carla's forehead. It was as she made contact she felt Carla flinch and knew her head must be in pain. Her eyes fluttered and seconds later she was distant but at least awake.

"Carla what happened?" whispered Michelle.

Carla however had no recollection, she didn't know what had happened to her at all and at that moment in time she didn't even know where she was. She repeated the same to Michelle in a mumble, questioning with confusion what had happened herself. Michelle shook her head, to Carla she too had no idea but she knew what had happened to herself. Not that she wanted to tell Carla though as she didn't wish to add to her distress. Offering the best smile she could Michelle looked down at Carla and started feeling very light headed. Seconds later and she was feeling dizzy and then suddenly that was it, she collapsed without warning at the side of Carla's bed.

"Michelle!" cried Carla the best she was able but no one heard her. Twisting her head to the side she looked to the beeping machine at her side and panicked trying to see if she could reach some sort of call button. Straining out her fingers she tried to press it but it was beyond her reach. Weakly she called for help, over and over in the hope someone would come but it attracted no attention. Unable to move and in a lot of pain herself Carla tried to do something to get the nurses to come running. Doing the only thing she could think of she reached for her own arm where the tubes of medication and fluids were flowing in and ripped them out slowly with her trembling fingers. The machines went wild and beeped away alerting the nurses that something was wrong and in came running the one who had told Michelle strictly not to get out of bed.

Amy back on the wing had been escorted away by the officers who had instantly blamed her for the attack on Michelle. No matter how hard she tried to defend herself they still had her in the firing line. Words were failing her and as timid and shy as she was she just broke down in tears feeling she was unable to fight back against the officers who were shoving her into a cell in solitary confinement. Distressed and very upset about what had happened and how she had now been treated, Amy cuddled her knees to her chest as she sat in the corner and wept waiting to be called by the Governor. She had never been face to face with her before but she was already intimidated, she knew how one sided these disciplinary procedures could be. Guilty or not.

Denzy and Jessica were currently worsening the situation as they began to spread vicious rumours about Amy and why she had attacked Michelle. All the prisoners believed the lies and so started to develop untrue ideas about Amy. That timid inmate none of them really knew and now they thought they knew her better. Some branded her a psychopath others just as unstable but they all now truly believed she had viciously attacked Michelle and then tried to cover it up by calling for help. In their little groups they started plotting and planning for her return. Denzy had planted a seed and she knew exactly how to manipulate everyone on her wing. Now all she had to do was wait for them to start attacking Amy and she could put her plan into motion to win over the two prisoners she needed on her side.
