By the time Orion got back to Castle the redheaded General was on the view screen.
"Hello Diane …" Orion said.
"Hello Stephen…Congratulation on the ops. We captured the device and Yuri the Gobbler is off to a deep dank hole. So you look worried…" The General said.
"Diane I am worried. Alexi had my tech…No one gets my tech…yet he had it…He also knew what Agent Decker looked like… If had not known better he would have fooled most everyone…" Orion said.
"Are you implying that Alexi Volkoff has been impersonating Agent Decker?" The General said with alarm.
"Yes General. The question is when did this substitution take place? I have my AI Harry working on it and I will advise you of its findings. However, Diane how connected was Agent Decker?" Orion stated.
"Agent Brad Decker was quite respected and had the ear and clearance of a Deputy Director. This is bad Stephen. We knew we had a leak in the CIA from sometime. That is why the NSA was called in on the op with your Son. We never imagined it was one so high up." The General said. "We are going to have to change everything once the new Director gets sworn in."
"General, how would we know if this person is not another substitution? Alexi has had the Agent X PSP which was entrusted to Graham at the beginning. How did he get it? Graham must have handed it to him." Orion said.
"Yes I see our problem…You would not be telling me this without you having a solution…" Diane said knowing how Orion operated.
"Yes Diane there is a way to detect my tech. I can remotely shut it off. However, if we find substitutes we have to assume that the originals are dead. That people were duped. I'm sure that without my help these people still believe they are who they supposed to be. I feel that Alexi has had 10 + years to find and substitute his people. I was wondering why he seems so cocky he could walk right into my lair." Orion said.
"I see Orion. What about your Son's mission?" Diane asked.
"I've already sent the information to him in the newest download. He will be equipped to handle any substitutions." Orion said. "Matter of Fact he should be waking soon and will be testing it on Bryce. I should get the results quickly enough to know if it worked." Orion said.
"I see well Orion we will need to see how deep this penetration has been. I will need to see you in DC soon Beckman out!" She said as the tech closed the transmission.
Orion had one burning question where was the anti PSP stored and who could retrieve it? Of course he should work on a backup plan. This needed Eleanor's help. He left to find Ellie in her labs.
Ellie looked up from the monitors on now Chuck, Alexi, and Frost. He Father had just entered and there was a grave look on his face.
"Eleanor…I need your help." Orion said.
"Sure Dad what can I do?" Ellie asked.
"I'm not sure but I need you to understand the way the Inter…" Orion said.
"Dad! Please you are not talking to a child…I'm the one that created the work around for Chuck which no longer placed him into a seizure state. Just tell me what you need." Ellie said.
"Ok here is the program for the Agent X intersect and notice how the engrams are replaced and modified. I need those same engrams to return to normal." Orion said.
"Dad that is a brutish way you created." Ellie said. "Luckily for us…The brain is a marvelous device it has backups of its backups of its backups. All we need to do is follow the scans. Then apply the right pressure and voila the trance is broken. There had been leaps and bounds of new knowledge on the brain since you created this program." Ellie said.
"That is true Eleanor that is why I came to you…So when could you test your theories?" Orion asked.
"Who would be the subject?" Ellie asked.
"I think you know who it would be. She is dangerous in this version. She has no idea she was a Mother especially not yours. I'm not sure you should be in the same room given her violent…" Orion said.
"Yeah Dad I get the picture I'll not do it alone I will have security to stand with me. Relax Dad I will be fine! As for when maybe in a week I am doing scans now." Ellie said.
"Ok Eleanor. I have to go to DC. I wish you luck…Godspeed to you my Daughter." Orion said as he left the room and his insurmountable problem to Eleanor.
She would find away. He should have told her about the failsafe. Nah she will find it he thought.

Agent Barker of the MI6 branch was waiting at the hanger when the supersonic jet landed. He admired things of beauty and the sleek lines of that plane were a great sight.
Being a bit bored he stood by the official Limo. There was a motorized wheel chair available to Agent Carmichael. He was stunned when he saw a super model Red head step off the plane. Somehow he did not think that such a stunning creature would be coming here. Agent Barker stood a bit straighter as she came directly toward him.
"You must be our welcoming committee" Carina purred.
Agent Barker could only gulp at the playful creature in front of him. Next out of the plane was Agent Sarah Walker. She he remembered from their op in Spain.
"Carina…! Down! Do not fondle the merchandise!" Sarah barked at her wayward companion at which Carina could only pout.
"Mrs. Anderson how good to see you again" Agent Barker said giving her air kisses on both sides of her face.
"Agent Barker I'm happy to see a friendly face." Sarah said then scowled at Carina who stuck out her tongue then climbed into the limo.
Bryce came off the plane next after playing guinea pig to Chuck. He saw Agent Barker then ran up to him and slapped him on his back.
"Barker you old Dog how are you doing…It was back in that op in Spain what 5 years ago?" Bryce said.
"Mr. Anderson I did not know you were coming." Barker said. "When this is all over you need to share a pint with me at my favorite watering hole."
"That Buddy I'm looking forward to doing…So any tid bits on this broad before the briefing? No? Not even for the guy that saved your a$$?" Bryce asked.
"If I recall It was I who saved both your bacon." Sarah said smirking as she got in the limo.
"She has a point you know" Agent Barker said.
"Yeah Sarah…That's a good point" Bryce said ducking into the limo signing they would talk later.
Next off the plane was the bearded wonder. He walked up to Barker. Barker could not believe this was an agent?
"Morgan just Morgan I'm pleased to meet you." He said shaking his hand. "I did not expect James Bond to be our welcoming committee."
Barker rolled his eyes at that comparison. It was true he did look much like the fictional character in the Ian Fleming novels and movies. It was a running joke back at HQ.
Morgan did not expect a word so he stowed his gear in the Van which had just drove up. It was wheelchair assisted so that Agent Carmichael would have mobility. It was also jam packed with the latest surveillance equipment from the States. It had been sent ahead and had been waiting for them.
Last off the plane was Major Casey another person he knew from an op in Shanghai. Major Casey was carrying a very tall and lanky fellow who he assumed was Agent Carmichael.
Barker stood by as Casey lowered Chuck into his seat. Once situated he pulled away to stand guard.
"Agent Carmichael I presume?" Agent Barker said.
"Hi I'm Charles Carmichael but please call me Chuck. I'm please to meet you Agent Barker." Chuck said with an enthusiasm to his voice,
Casey just grunted a # 53 meaning 'let's get the show on the road' to show his impatience.
Chuck entered the Van as Barker entered the Limo. Once all had been set the briefing started as the vehicles drove them to the staging area.
"Ok this is what we know. Since learning of Ms. MacArthur's real Father we have been doing round the clock surveillance as asked by your gov't. I understand you want a meeting? We have taken the liberties to arrange that. There is a party she is throwing for her 21st birthday it is tonight and formal dress is required." He said as he glanced at Carina.
Sarah again scowled at her as Carina gave the look of complete innocence.
"You Mr. and Mrs. Anderson here is your invitations. You Morgan here is your busy boy uniform. Carina and I will attend as a couple. Major Casey is a bartender? Is that correct?" Agent Barker asked.
"Correct" Casey said from the Van.
"Right and your Ops Chief Agent Carmichael will be staying in the Van and monitoring your channels do I have this correct?" Agent Barker asked for confirmation.
"Yes Agent Barker you did a superb job of getting this op ready. One question have you seen this man in the area?" Chuck asked.
Chuck placed the picture of Alexi's lawyer on the screen.
"Why yes Agent Carmichael he was seen in the village outside the estate. It happens to be the place we are going. Major Casey and Morgan will be picked up by the servant's van at 4PM. The party will not start before 7PM though there will be a formal dining before which you can attend at 5 PM." Barker said.
"Great that gives us 4 hours to prepare. Hopefully we will beat the lawyer." Chuck said. "I hope the place you chose is wheelchair assessable?"
"Yes of course once we knew of your um requirements. We made sure that this location would be suitable." Barker said as they drove up to the hotel.
Barker stood by as they disembarked and drove back to the surveillance location HQ had set up.
