Katherine arrived to her lawyer firm's building early, wearing her traditional woman suit. Her high heels were marking her steps as she walked in, smiling. She had tried not to think about what happened with Elijah, she hasn't text him or tried to reach him and she didn't needed to, she had her plan ready. She greeted Mister Donovan, her boss before to walk in her office and start to prepare things for her plan.
One hour later she was in a taxi, taking her to the Mikaelson's building. She announced herself to the secretary and took the elevator to reach the 15th floor. But when the doors opened and she step out, she collided Elijah's chest. Katherine looked up at him, confused. Technically he wasn't supposed to be here, his office wasn't at his floor and he was obviously waiting for her with a serious face. "Hello Mister Mikaelson."
Elijah's frown became more marked at Katherine's words, Mister Mikaelson, really? Why? He decided to not pay more attention at this. "Hey Katherine." He slid his hand on her lips and came closer to kiss her cheek. "You didn't give me any news…"
Katherine slowly pushed him away, taking a step back. "Look Elijah, when I said our relationship and our work life will be separated, I meant it. And I'm working right now, and you should be working too by the way."
Elijah bit his lower lip. There was something more and he knew it. It was probably because of last night but he wasn't ready yet. He just nodded once. "The secretary told me you were here." He faked a smile. "So work well Miss Pierce. Maybe we could lunch together… You know, neither of us would be working…"
"I already have something for lunch but this evening, ok?" She came closer and quickly let a small kiss on his cheek, smiling.
"OK." Elijah only answered smiling back at her, while she disappeared in the hallway of the building.
Katherine knocked with the back of her hand on the glass door where the words "M. Mikaelson. Communication director" were written. She turned the handle when a strong man's voice answered; she walked in with her serious working face before to smile playfully when the man's in his armchair finally looked up at her.
A wide smile appeared on Kol's face when he saw Katherine. His pushed his armchair away from his desk to go up. "Miss Pierce! It's a pleasure to see you here!" He reached her quickly and hugged her friendly.
Katherine hugged him back a bit surprised, she didn't expect for such amount of joy. "Hey Kol!" She pulled him away before to close the door. "So, I have a serious subject to talk about." She said showing the files she was holding in her arms. "And maybe after we could go take a lunch, ok?"
Kol nodded once. "Ok!" He showed her an armchair on the opposite of his desk, inviting her to take a sit before to walk back at his seat.
One hour later Katherine and Kol were seated at a table on the terrace of a Mexican restaurant. They had spent some time laughing and talking about everything, they both really get along.
After a while Katherine finally decided to talk about the serious and dangerous subject. She made a grin before to introduce it. "Kol, I have to ask you something but I'm not sure what will be your reaction about it…"
Kol frowned, intrigued and also scared of what she could possible ask him. "Go ahead. You know I take everything with a smile!" He smiled widely, probably showing all his white teeth to make the atmosphere lighter.
Katherine giggled at his smile. "Because your brother's reaction was… bad." She bit the inside of her cheek, re-thinking about last night, about how they went from heaven to hell just because of one little question.
"Ok, go ahead Kat, now I'm worried." He frowned seriously, his elbows resting on the table.
Katherine took a deep breath before to start her speech. "Yesterday, I told I wanted to see you again because I liked you and we could be friends and then he forbade me to be around you, which I didn't like at all. And when I asked him why, he refused to answer me. So maybe you know why…" Katherine looked up at Kol hopeful and nervous.
Kol smiled firstly when Katherine said that she wanted them to be friends but his smile quickly disappear when he learned what the problem was. He knew exactly why his brother had this reaction and he was hurt inside because his brother still didn't trust him. He decided to just go ahead and tell the truth to Katherine, helping their relationship was the least thing he could do. "I slept with Tatia. That's why they broke up."
Katherine opened her eyes widely in surprise. "You are the reason of their split?"
Kol nodded once, not proud of him. "Yes and I regret it, I made a mess."
"How did he find out?" At the moment Katherine could only thought about the pain Elijah must have felt by discovering that. When someone you love hurt you like that, it's already horrible but when it's two people that you care about.
Kol shook his head directly. "I told him! I may be a dick but I regret what I did and didn't want to hurt my brother."
"I maybe not be here for a long time but you're a good brother Kol, I can see that." She smiled softly trying to cheer him up.
Kol smiled back at her, getting his current playful mood back. "At least, I hope knowing this would help you! You're hotter than Tatia; I want to keep saying you around for a while!"
Katherine laughed silently before to sigh as she really realized Elijah's reason for not letting her see Kol. "So he is afraid the same thing happens again but with me this time." She roughly bit her lower lip. "He doesn't trust me"
Kol straightened as he saw Katherine's face. "No. It's not about you. I'm the one he doesn't trust. And that's understandable."
Katherine smiled lightly at Kol as he was trying to cheer her up. "Thank you, Kol." She got up as Kol imitated her. "Time to go back to work!"
They walked together back to the building, tchating about anything.
"I hope to see you soon again, Miss Pierce." Kol smirked before to pull her into a hug.
"I hope too." Katherine smiled, hugging him back.
Katherine took the elevator toward the last floor. She had a last thing to do before to go back to her lawyer firm's building. She asked to Elijah's secretary if he was here and alone and to not tell him that she came to visit him. She stepped in his office without asking and quickly walked toward him, in front of his armchair, resting on the back of his desk.
Elijah looked up at her surprised, smiling as she looked more receptive than this morning. "What are you doing here? I thoughts you have something to do this midday." He slid his hands on her hips.
Katherine looked at her wrist and faked to look at her watch, grinning. "I have five minutes left." She smiled before to tuck up her skirt on her thighs to straddle him. She brushed her nose against his before to join their lips in a sensual kiss.
Elijah kissed her back, directly sliding his hands up and down her thighs, creating shiver on Katherine's burning skin. "I have something to tell you." He said, cutting their kiss, his lips still closed to hers.
Katherine seductively started to move her hips, brushing against Elijah's pants. She tilted her head and murmured to his ear. "What's that?" She teased him by nibbling his ear, making incoherent moaning.
Elijah laid his head back, responding to her moves unconsciously by raising his crutch up. His hand slid on her waist to cup her breast, squeezing it over her shirt. "I thought you only had five minutes."
Katherine suddenly giggled, pushing herself away from him, stopping her hips moves. "I do. I'm just teasing." She pressed her lips against him, making a kissing sound before to get up and smooth her skirt, letting a speechless Elijah. "You will tell what you wanted to tonight?"
Elijah got up; pushing his chair behind to grabbed her by the hips and kissed her again. "Sure. When do I come?"
Katherine kissed him back her right hand resting on his shoulder as the other cupped his neck. "7p.m. bring something to eat." She winked before to walk toward the exit, swinging her hips as she perfectly knew what Elijah's was looking at.
